Sister Green was one of the most caring, understanding, and inspirational teachers I've ever had. She reassures us that we can do hard things, and I learned so much through her sharing stories of her own teaching experiences. She is brand new at BYUI, but I thought she had an exceptional first semester. Thank you for a great experience!
This was sister Green's first semester at BYU-I and I thought it went great! She was very specific about how we would use what we were learning in the classroom which made it interesting. I would love to take another class from her! I did find ED211 very easy, but some of my classmates did not, so you can see for yourself.
My class with S. Green was my fave. So caring and flexible and gives practical classroom advice. I learned so so much from her. Some people didn't love her because she sometimes had unclear grading criteria and didn't test us on what we learned in class, so class felt pointless to them. I personally still really enjoyed going to her classes.
She's my favorite professor this semester. Her class was so fun! I loved learning about and using different technologies for the classroom. You take the Google Teacher Certification test as the final whenever you feel ready and can do it with others. I will be taking any other class I can from her. She's so kind and willing to be flexible.
Sis Green offers a very unique approach to STEM. She is very hands-off, so I felt like I grew a lot in my independence this semester (in a good way!) Things are graded promptly, there are opportunities for redo's, and there is an atmosphere of friendliness in her class! I would definitely take classes from her again.
Sister Green is funny and positive. She brings a lot of her experience from teaching into the classroom so you can see how to actually use the things you are learning in class. There are a lot of projects, but they aren't too bad, just give yourself time to work on them. She is very flexible and understanding. The TA grades, which isn't great...
Amazing class! You are able to work in groups to prepare for a presentation given to the class throughout the year. It is a great way to introduce teaching in the classroom.
This is my fourth class with Sister Green, and she is great! She adjusts her class to students' needs, has had a lot of experience herself in the classroom, and is willing to answer any questions you might have. I have nothing bad to say about her.
Realistic and helpful assignments- the kind you would refer back to even after the class is over. No busy work for the sake of busy work. She's so supportive and does all that she can to set you up for success in your classroom. There are a lot of group discussions, but they are helpful, not a hassle. This has been my most enjoyable practicum!
Sister Green is a great professor who makes time to meet with her students! Pay attention and do the work and you won't fail the class. It's also really easy to work ahead.
I have nothing negative to say about Sister Green. She really cares about her students and wants you to succeed. The class just has a lot of information so you will want to attend to make sure you pass the Lit. IV test. But it is not too hard.
Sister Green was a great teacher! She lets the students teach the class as a grade, and involves everyone! Very fun class and there was a big project every week, but it was insanely difficult. Very useful, I loved this class with Sister Green!
Sister Green is kind and understanding but expects good work from you. She has a lot of great insight and helped me improve a ton as a teacher. I highly recommend taking her class.
This is the second class I have taken from Sister Green and I greatly enjoyed both. Sister Green is a great teacher. She is kind and helpful and is willing to work with you when you need help. She doesn't make her classes stressful, but I am still able to learn a lot about being a teacher. I highly recommend taking classes from Sister Green!
I love that she is so personal. I had some medical issued during her class and she would reach out to me to see if there was anything she could do to help.
At the beginning of the semester, I didn't agree with the fact that technology has taken over our lives, and I still don't. However, I did learn a lot about teaching and how to do so effectively and efficiently, and that's all that matters to me.
Sister Green is very easy to approach with any questions- about her class and also on being an El Ed major. She makes her class fun and personal. I think there is just the right amount of classwork and I never felt overwhelmed.
One aspect that I admire about Sister Green is that her passion is sincere. Because of this, she is very approachable, a reliable mentor, and a great professor. She is also very considerate of the students in her class; she makes it clear that she is on "our side" and will do what she can to help us get to where we need to be.
Sister Green is a great teacher but this class felt very empty from her.I don't know if it is different from other classes but we did not do a ton during class. I felt like it was very boring throughout class. We got done over 30 minutes early often.
Show up to class to get the information and participation points. one group project for the semester. Easy class to get an A in.
Sister Green is an amazing teacher! She truly cares about each of her students and wants them to do well and learn how to best teach our future students! She is very organized and she makes sure to take time in class to answer important questions! She never leaves a question unanswered. Her assignments help you to grow into a great teacher
She was a little hard at first, but then she was easily understandable and attainable.
Sister Green is a great professor, she has assignments organized by week so you know exactly what and when things are due. Also I always felt comfortable coming up to her and asking questions if I didn't understand something.
Sister Green is awesome! She is very understanding is cares about what really matters (she doesn't have you do weird nit-picky things in order to pass or get a good grade). She is a fair grader. If you work and do your best, you will for sure get the best out of her class. She is really awesome. Would definitely take her again!
Sister Green is a great teacher, she is willing to work with you when you have questions and doesn't beat around the bush. If you put in the work she'll help you when you need it. She wants her students to succeed. As long as you put in the effort you'll do fine.
I have taken from Sister Green once before my Senior Practicum and have enjoyed having her as a professor. She is really willing to work with you based on different circumstances, if you are willing to put in the work and actually get some thing out of the assignments and the class she reciprocates that.
Pros: 1. Great attitude and it's very easy to trust her with any questions regarding education. 2. I enjoyed my writer's notebook, class discussions, and reading assignments. 3. it's a low-stress class Cons: 1. I wish we could have read in front of the class our best writing piece of the semester.
Sister Green is an amazing teacher. It is a very student led class, meaning the students are the ones teaching the class. You have a project and reading assignment every week. It doesn't take too much time and you get good grades as long as you work hard. She is always willing to help you out and shows that she wants you to succeed.
Nothing too crazy. As long as you do all of the work, it's super easy.
The students primarily teach this class, as it is an education class. Sister Green is a good teacher, but you don't get to hear from her all that often. You do projects every week in this class and you learn a lot that you actually need to know.
I really liked Sister Green. She pretty much lets the class teach, so she rarely stands in front of the class to teach a lesson. Part of me sientes she would teach more herself, but it did give us great practice on exploring and teaching our peers on our own. If you attend class and participate, you should be fine on getting a good grade in class.
This class and this teacher were probably my favorites at BYU-I. This class encourages you to get out of your comfort zone as you will teach at least twice a week, but SIster Green is the most encouraging, caring person who makes it just such a great experience. She is very understanding and will work with you as long as you are willing to work.
Sister Green is a very caring teacher. She valued allowing students to teach each lesson and often wasn't in class but it was a good learning experience as a future teacher.
I absolutely loved Sister Green! I love learning from her. She gave great examples from her own classroom experiences, which helped. She is very caring and willing to work with her students. Not only does she want you to succeed in her class but in other classes. Sister Green is fabulous!
Sister Green is awesome! And this course was super fun and easy. You work in groups throughout the semester and take turns teaching to the class. 10/10 recommend sister green for this course!
Sister Green is one of my favorite professors at BYUI. She is incredibly kind and understanding, and truly just wants us to be prepared for the LIT 4 exam and life after her class. She does have some assignments that seem more like busy work, but most of them are really helpful and not even that hard. 10/10 would take again!
Mrs. Green is kind. She cares about your success as a student more than anything else. I found her late work policy the best one I've ever experienced. It was generous while still motivating me to get the work done and not forget about it until the end of the semester. I could not have finished my senior portfolio without her encouragement.
I really like Sister Green! She is easy to talk and ask questions to and helps when you need it. I think Sister Green did really well in providing resources and modifying assignments when needed. She receives feedback well and doesn't make me feel bad for making suggestions.
Great class, excellent teacher!
Sister Green is a great teacher and I love that she lets the students teach but also offers good instruction.
Sister Green is a fantastic teacher! She is personable and knows her students individually. Sister Green has clear expectations and clear due dates. Her class requires work and effort, but you don't leave feeling confused of what is expected of you. I've learned so much from Sister Green and I highly recommend taking her classes!
Sister Green is great! I think she prepares you well for using what you learn in a classroom. She's very understanding of extenuating circumstances and is willing to work with you. The only thing I would change is that I wish I got more specific feedback on assignments.
Great class and great teacher! Highly recommend Sister Green!
Sister Green is a teacher who understands that education and technology are continually changing, and that teachers, herself included, need to embrace change and look for new ways to innovate. This class was student-led, but Sis. Green provided a great scaffolding. The weekly projects require time and effort but help you learn in an engaging way.
Sister Green is very kind-hearted and happy to answer any questions you may have.
Sister Green is an amazing Professor. She is always there inside and outside the classroom. Homework is super light. There is a few readings a week and a project due every Saturday. Sister Green is super organized and is on top everything. She will get back to you very quickly.
Mrs. Green is a great teacher and I definitely prefer her over a couple other teachers I have taken in the past. Her teaching is engaging and she connects concepts to the gospel a lot too which was great. The one main thing that I had a hard time with was the projects (there are a ton of them). The project descriptions are not very clear on canvas.
Thankfully Sister Green is the type of teachers who will work with you if you have to turn in something a little late. She prefers that you ask your classmates first before asking her a question, but honestly her class feels like a safe place and sometimes we'll pause the lesson to ask the HONEST questions we want to know about teaching .
I loved taking Sister Green's class. I was having a hard time at the beginning of the semester and she was there for me to talk to and was so willing to help and offer suggestions to help me in my circumstances. She is an amazing teacher and is very personable and human! I love having teachers that you feel are real humans and not teaching robots!
Sister green is very open to change and feedback, she wants us to learn to the best of our ability. In this class you participate in a few group projects. There are weekly readings. The grading system makes me happy.
Sister Green is a great teacher and seems to really care about her students. She is always giving us tips and tricks for ways to help us out. She is always making sure that we understand what we are doing. She is an easy grader, but also makes you work hard. The course I took wasn't too difficult, but it helped me learn a lot of new things.
sister green was a great professor! i highly recommend taking a class from her! she is so sweet and this course was super super chill. class always ends early, you have the same schedule each week and there are no tests. there are projects each weekend and the students teach the course (it sounds intimidating but it is not at all). easy & fun!
Sister Green gave about two lessons and then had to the students teach the rest of the semester. I felt like she didn't really care about the class and didn't want to teach. I wasn't a fan of this class.
Sister Green was really awesome to be in class with! I loved being able to teach the class different things that I've learned. The points in the class were a little skewed with the amount of work that we put in but overall it was a good class to take for education majors.
Sister Green is great. She does a great job at taking a subject that could seem overwhelming and making it more simple. She is very knowledgable about eh education field and is very open to any and all questions you may have. She will answer them honestly which is so helpful.
Sis Green is kind and always innovates her class to meet needs. There is a lot of reading, but the reading is interesting and inspirational. The content Ive learned from the reading will help me throughout my life. Attendance is required. There are projects every week, but they're not that hard. Groups teach the class, she never teaches.
Sister Green is a great choice for a professor. Her class got me to enjoy writing more. Most of the time, her class was a time for me to decompress during a long day. Going to class was always really stress free for me. You can pretty much plan on an assignment to complete before every class period, but other than that, the class is very relaxed.
This class is a great because you learn a lot and I feel that content is very clear. Then the homework is helpful but its not too much. Theres a lot of great skills to be learned. Sister Green is also very caring and is open to helping you!
She is a great teacher, who really cares about each of her students and their needs. She was so willing to work with me and helped me so much. Great Teacher. Highly recommend.
She is a great teacher. The only problem you could have is if she doesn't have a good TA. Sister Green is usually a good grader. She is very fair. There are several readings, but that is in all ED441 classes, does not depend on S. Green. She is very accessible and open to questions. Communication is key with her. She is very understanding.
Sister Green is amazing! She is willing to explain assignments criteria multiple times and is understanding when things happen. Be ready for projects or assignments where you analyze writing. She wants the best for you. She does well in spreading assignments out. Great teacher!!!! 10/10
Sister Green cares about your success. If you choose not to come to class you will not only lose points for it, you will also be setting yourself up to fail the required state test at the end of the course. There aren't a lot of assignments, but the ones there are require a lot of work so be prepared.
Sis. Green was one of the most understanding teachers that I have had. The class itself was a little overwhelming at first, and some of the projects were a test of my patience. But only having reading and one project a week wasnt bad at all!
You can definitely tell that Professor Green cares about her students. If you participate in class are show her that you care, she is willing to work with you. There were 3 different books for this class, all the reading is done outside of class with a little discussion of the reading in class the next day.
Sister Green is amazing! She makes the class work clear and not extremely time-consuming, which is a huge plus! If you have a problem or questions she's very willing to help you out. I like that this class was mostly led by students because it gave us the opportunity to practice teaching. Definitely recommend taking Sister Green!
Professor Green is a great teacher. She has had quite a bit of experience in the field that she is teaching, and you can tell she is passionate about helping students become future educators. There is a decent amount of work in the class but I would say that it was manageable and not too overwhelming.
Sister Green is awesome! She is so sweet and you can tell that she is super experienced in what she is teaching. She has great tips and tricks and she is very good about answering your questions. She does a great job in preparing you for the state test at the end of the semester. Definitely recommend this teacher.
Sister Green is awesome! She is always there to help you when you need it. She really reads the room and takes into consideration what we need to be taught that day, even if that wasn't what she planned for. I learned a lot in this class that is actually useful information but it wasn't an overwhelming amount of work. Great class and great teacher!
Sister Greene has very clear expectations on attendance, late work, and participation in and out of class. The assignments can receive full points if you read the rubric criteria. She's flexible with work assignments when you talk to her about the situation you're in, explains lesson concepts easy terms and shares purposeful stories about teaching.
Sister Green was a pretty good teacher! I really did love how kind and caring she was. My only downside was that it was very lecture-heavy and right after lunch so it was a little harder to stay awake at times. Other than that she was good!
Sister Green is great at being there when you need to ask her a question and she is willing to work with you to modify projects to help them make sense. She is understanding and she is an easy teacher to communicate with about possible concerns.
Sister Green is an amazing teacher! She really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She supports you in every way she can. She focuses on the positives when giving feedback, and really loves her students. There is homework, but it is all beneficial to helping you become a better teacher.
She is a great teacher and I liked how she handed us the tools to complete out big presentation. I think the class went well and the workload wasn't too crazy.
I loved how Sister Green taught this class the schedule is clear and easy to follow some of the projects take time so make sure to get on them early in the week and have a good relationship with your group members since you do a lot with them in this class, also you have an opportunity to teach the class once and its a super fun experience!
Sister Green is such a fun person to be around and a great teacher! She is always willing to work with her students.
Sister Green is a great person and teacher. You can tell she cares a lot for her students and wants them to succeed. She is very understanding when things come up as well. I do wish she was a little more involved in the class, but overall the class was easy and she was great!
Sister Green is an amazing professor. She is very knowledgable and down to earth. She sets high expectations but provides the means for you to be successful. I learned a lot from her in Senior Practicum. Great professor to have right before student teaching.
Sister Green cares about her students and strives to be understanding about their individual situations. The things she has taught me, and the feedback that I have received through this course has helped me grow as a student and as a teacher. She will work with you to help you succeed, as long as you are putting in the work and doing your best.
Professor Green is actually a really good teacher. If you email her on the week days she is usually quick about getting back to you, she is totally open to changing assignments if they are too difficult (like unreasonably so), things like that. For my specific class, we did a lot of group work, but I think she said that it would change to be even.
This class was easy but it wasn't my favorite set up. The students taught 98% of the time which can be helpful if we know what we are talking about but most of the time we were asked to teach things that we were just now learning. Sister Green is a great woman and when she did have things to teach it was helpful.
She is a good professor. Take the time to get to know other people in your group, you do lots of group projects. Make sure to do the readings assigned so you are able to know what the weeks project is on. Also she is always willing to help so don't be afraid to ask for help.
I enjoyed this class a lot. I learned a lot of things that will be very useful as a teacher in the future. There are projects and reading assignments every week, so be prepared for that. Overall: great class, great teacher!
Sister Green is an amazing professor. I loved how her class was structured and how it was peer taught. Be aware that you will have weekly readings and big projects due each week. You are given plenty of time to complete the projects and she is always willing to help you. Would highly recommend!!
Sister Green is a great teacher. This was my 4th class with her. She is very respectful of her students and makes an effort to get to know students and help them feel supported. She is great to go to with any questions or concerns. When she does observations, she gives good feedback and does her best to keep you excited and proud of what you did.
Sister Green is an amazing teacher! She expects a lot but the work helps you within the classroom setting. The work has a purpose and is not just busy work. I have learned so many skills to help me in my future classroom. Sister Green wants to help you succeed and she is happy to help in any way she can. She is easy to reach outside of class.
Mrs. Green is passionate about the subject and really has amazing ideas on how to teach an elementary class in a fun and creative way. Her passion is inspiring. She is very caring and will work with you on anything that you need. She really cares about her students and is on your side. She does everything she can to help her students succeed.
Sister Green is a great professor! This class was not that hard if you keep up with your work. Do discussion boards early to receive full points. As long as you come to class and pay attention, you should be good!
Sister Green is an amazing teacher. She gives use great information for how to really be an educator. This class wasn't hard at all. She had great group projects we did in the semester and they were very reasonable. She is an easy grader and really wants us to succeed. She will literally help you individually if you need it.
Sister Green does a great job at demonstrating what is taught, explaining the assignments, and helps you apply them. There are several assignments every week, which may seem like a lot, but most of them build off of each other and take less than an hour to complete. This is normal for a level 400 course. I highly recommend this class!
Sister Green is truly the most genuine person. She has high expectations for her students but those expectations are coupled with her caring and very down-to-earth personality. I felt intimidated by her class at first because her descriptions for assignments were so long but it I came to understand that she is just very thorough and passionate!
I love Sister Green! She really makes the class fun and enjoyable. She makes me really excited to be a teacher. I wasn't a fan of writing before this class, but I am finding myself to be writing a lot more than I ever was before. You will have reading to do - but it was all really important to the class and more enjoyable reads than other classes.
It may have just been this semester, but I felt like instructions for assignments were unclear. Instructions be changed the class period before it was due. It made it difficult to plan my homework schedule, as I felt like staying on top of things was pointless if the instructions were written unclear or changed last minute.
Sister Green is a great professor. However, this semester there were times when she would cancel classes. It was stressful knowing that we had a state exam at the end of the course. She is fast with replying to your messages and she gives great feedback on your work. Participation is huge in this class. As long as you do your work, you'll be fine!
It took a couple weeks to fully understand how Sister Green runs her class and specific projects. However, once I figured things out, I really enjoyed this class. Everyday she would give us a prompt to write about for a few minutes and I really loved that. She is very understanding and really cares about all her students.
Sister Green is very kind, and very smart. The class is straightforward and the content is simple, but you need to attend to understand it all. The assignments do push and challenge you, although a few of them could be classified as busy work. There isn't too much homework. You can email her and she is very understanding of difficult situations.
It is important that you come to class prepared and have lesson plans ready for days that you are teaching. Teaching and lesson planning are the main components of this class. Sister Green is very caring and accessible outside of class for any questions or concerns you may have. I would recommend taking this class from Sister Green she is amazing!
She is very generous on grading, you will read a lot in this class but it is good helpful. As long as you show up, participate in class and turn your assignments in on time you will get an A
Sister Green gives a fair amount of homework but spreads it out so that it is not too much at once. Definitely get your online discussion posts done ahead of time, especially because you cannot make them up if missed. Sister Green is easy to work with if you have legitimate reasons for missing work. She is very understanding but not a pushover.
Sister Green is super friendly, easy going, and understanding! I learned a lot from her and would definitely take another class from her. This course was average as far as difficulty, but she was very thorough in teaching. I felt like she made effective use of class time, which I appreciated.
Sister Green is such a fun and excellent teacher. She is very flexible and understands that not everything in writing has an exact answer. I feel like I really learned a lot from her and you can tell she has such a strong testimony. We did have to give presentations, but they were all given in small groups and it was very stress free.
There were times I felt confused what was going on and what was expected of me. But overall I had a great experience with Sister Green. She is understanding and very chill and is willing to work with you
I would definitely select this professor again. The course and the reading are great preparation for student teaching. Fair on grading and not overly critical/nitpicky. Great class discussions. I would have liked more notification/ explanation of upcoming assignments. just look ahead and ask questions when in Seminar (on-campus days).
I had a good experience with Sister Green. She has clear expectations and is willing to work with you when misunderstandings and misconceptions arise. I put a high difficulty level because I had to drop other classes in order to spend the time and effort that was required for this class. This class requires a lot of work and preparation.
Sister Green wants you to succeed. The expectations are clear and attendance is highly recommended if you want to get a passing grade. There is a little bit of collaboration required, but it is nice that way Sister Green isn't the one teaching the content all the time. Meeting with her is a breeze. She'll give you great specific feedback.
I had Sister Green when I was in I think in a stem class and so I wanted to take her again because I found her to be an excellent teacher. I think that Sister Green is very thoughtful and caring. She challenges us and pushes us to do our best. I learned a lot from her. This class isn't difficult, but you need to devote time to it and do the work.
Teacher was able to explain what is exspected that week, and have us practice in groups to help us teach one another.
Sister Green is awesome! She has high expectations but is willing to work with you if you talk to her and if you really are putting in the effort. She made the content really accessible and taught practical ways to teach writing. I feel a lot more capable to go into the classroom designing lessons and facilitating effective writing instruction.
Sis. Green is amazing. She is very kind and she knows the material. She had us write for a few minutes at the beginning of class which I really like. The most important thing for me is that she accepts late work. She does dock points, but it's nothing crazy. There is no reason why you shouldn't pass this class unless you don't do the work
Sister Green is one of the best professors that I have had. She mades it clear what is expected of you but is also willing to help you in any way to be successful in her class. She help you learn how to become the best educator you can be.
Sister Green is awesome! If you don't feel like you understand something she is more than willing to work with you unit you understand it.
Sister green is a nice teacher and you can tell she cares about you. Always willing to help if you’re confused or get behind. This semester was a little crazy so it felt scattered at times but that wasn’t due to her teaching just Covid TA issues.
Sister Green is a great teacher, very understanding and loves what she does! A little bit if a crazy semester but wasn't her fault. I learned a lot and enjoyed the experiences and ideas she gave us to use in our future classrooms
Sister Green is a wonderful professor. She really cares about her students and is flexible and ready to help whenever she can. She is so excited about teaching and loves to watch you grow and will help you achieve your goals.
Professor Green is one of my favorite teachers on campus. You can tell that she has a genuine passion for what she does based on her experiences and time preparing. I could usually always approach her with anything if I ever needed. If you come to class when you're supposed to and don't let reading/course work fall behind, you'll do just fine.
Sister Green is amazing! I always felt like she genuinely cared about my success and growth. She is understanding with where you are at and is always willing to help you in or outside of class. We had a good amount of work, but it wasn't overwhelming and wasn't just "busy work". She is a great example of a great teacher!
Sister Green is a good teacher. She can teach you a lot of great skills and wants you to achieve your potential. I would say those who struggle with mental illness probably wouldn't do best in her class. I felt she was unwilling to see my perspective or meet me at my level. It was disheartening to not be able to communicate effectively.
I have had Sister Green before and enjoyed her this semester. The weekends were spent reading, which we covered only a little in class and then during the week is preparing lessons for the classroom. The weekly seminars are scheduled for 2hrs, but most of the time it was 90 minutes or less. I liked that she gave tips and tricks from her experiences
Sister Green is one of my favorite BYU-I teachers. I have taken three classes from her and have enjoyed each course. For ED449, there is a ton of reading and assignments to be completed. However, if you put in the hard work, you can get an A. Sister Green teaches simply and clearly, sets you up to succeed, and is extremely kind and caring.
Sister Green is an awesome professor! Having her for Senior Practicum was really helpful and chill. She does a great job of being flexible and understanding the pressures and stress of "pre-student teaching". I would totally take her again if I could!
I absolutely love taking classes from Sister Green. I try to recommend her to everyone who asks. I have gone out of my way to take classes from her several times. She is very caring and will work with you to try to get you to the best place possible in her class!
This teacher is my favorite education teacher. She makes challenging assignments, but they aren't so overwhelming that I can't get anything done. She is very good at responding to questions and gives great feedback. When another teacher won't answer questions about other requirements for my major(eled), I have asked her and everything became clear!
Sister Green cares about her students and I enjoyed going to the seminars each Monday.
This professor is exceptional and employs a teaching style based on lecture, hands-on experience, critical thinking, and derived from a growth mindset. As a result, anyone who takes this course from this professor can be assured to be supported and ready to be challenged and pushed past their limits to grow into the educator they seek to become.
Sis. Green is a great teacher and was so helpful throughout this course! She was very understanding and willing to work with us. We had a decent amount of homework to do, but it wasn't overwhelming. She had high expectations but also gave us the tools we needed to succeed. I would definitely recommend her for this course or for any class!
Sister Green is an incredible teacher. She gives good feedback and is really easy to get a hold of if you need anything. I recommend scheduling your observations early because her calendar fills up quickly. If you follow her directions and try your very best you will do just fine, there is a reason you have already made it this far in the program.
She was quick to respond when reaching out and was easily accessible through email. Professor Green would sometimes go off topic during lectures, but it was usually something fun that she did in her classroom. Her homework load isn't huge, but it is important to turn stuff in on time because some of her assignments can not be turned in late.
Sister Green was very on top of Senior Practicum. She let us know exactly what we needed to get done this semester in the first few classes. She is extremely real, and she shares personal insights that truly helped me. Based on the experiences other students had with other Professors in this class, Sister Green is the best, helpful, and easiest.
Sister Green was really good to work with!!! As a guest in another teachers classroom, scheduling was a pain. Sister Green was understanding and works with you to get assignments done. She gives really good feedback and is always there to answer questions. I feel prepared for student teaching!
This is the 4th course I have taken with Sister Green. She is an amazing professor and is really accommodating. I am really grateful I chose to take Senior Practicum with her because she is always available outside of class, she responds quickly to emails, and she told lots of stories about her previous classrooms.
I have no complaints! I love sister Green. She is very kind and flexible.
She is an amazing teacher. She is very sincere about wanting to help her students. I have been her student for a few semesters and I know she leads by example. While she is serious about what is taught and learned in the classroom, she is gentle and caring to anyone who shows the same in return. She is fair but kind.
This is actually for ED460, but Sis. Green taught this course really well. She gave great feedback and led discussions in a meaningful way. She opened up the class for discussion and taught us using some great resources. I would recommend this class and this professor!
Sister Green is super sweet and caring! Her classes are always engaging and she gives lots of time to share thoughts and opinions. Almost every class, we break into groups to discuss questions and then talk about it as a whole class afterwards. There is a group assignment due almost every weekend, but the assignments aren't too difficult.
Mrs. Green is the sweetest person ever, her passion for teaching is evident, very good communicator and loves her students!
Sister Green is a great teacher! She does a good job of explaining the content. She is pretty good about responding to emails and answering all the questions students have.
She is a great professor. You go to class and learn; you do two homework assignments during the week and then have a group project at the end on the week. It's really fun and pretty simple if you put in the work.
Sister Green is a great professor! You can tell she cares for her students and wants them to succeed! She is very busy, but is always willing to help and answer any questions!
she has lots of meetings so class gets canceled and you have to do work yourself
I actually really enjoyed class with this professor. She was involved and made sure we all understood what we were doing. Her lectures were all easy to understand and follow, the hardest part of the class is probably the website but even then it's not that bad.
Sister green is very professional and also kind. She is understanding as long as you communicate with her. Her class is very easy going yet you still learn a lot in this class. I always felt welcome and peaceful in her class.
This professor was very helpful and set me up for success to continue on in my teaching program.
Sister Green is amazing! She's very knowledgeable about teaching and her passion for education made me want to come to class everyday.
Sister Green is very kind, but this class wasn't for me. The whole course could have been completed online, and it was honestly boring. In class, we would talk about what we read the night before every single time and it was such a drag. I didn't feel like we learned anything new together in class that's why it could have been online.
Sister Green is very good at making sure you feel like you understand the concepts being taught. She also shows and tells us different ways to organize the classroom and different activities for your students to do. I really loved taking her class!
Sister Green is very nice and approachable! She provides valuable insights into teaching through her own experiences. We have group projects most weeks, which can sometimes be a bit frustrating. The classes themselves can occasionally feel a bit monotonous. However, overall, it was a good class, and I was able to make a lot of connections.
The class wasn't hard but had a lot of busy work. The format was confusing, and grading by the TA was inconsistent. In-person class felt unnecessary most of the time, so I'd recommend taking it online. That said, Sister Green is kind, and her teaching stories are enjoyable.
Sister Green is such a nice and caring professor. She really does care about her students and teaching them what they need to know. I felt like most of the class was just reviewing what we read from the night before and we did not learn anything new. The assignments felt like busy work and there was a ton of group work.
Sister Green was so much fun. She really cares about her students and gets to know you individually. even though she is a very busy lady she puts so much care into teaching. Her class had a lot of group work and individual participation opportunities.
Sister Green is awesome. She truly cares about all her students and wants to see them succeed. There is a group project every week and you really get to know how to become a better teacher.
Sister Green is a lovely professor who gives great lectures. The work isn't too difficult and there are lots of group projects. Overall, a great class and a great professor.
Sister Green is awesome! She is a caring teacher who wants to help us understand. The class itself can be redundant sometimes and is heavy on the homework, but overall okay.
Professor Green was a nice professor and you can tell she really cares about the material. The course load is kinda hefty however you know exactly what to expect each week. There is a group project basically every week. She is in a faculty position that requires her to miss class so you will sometimes have extra homework or have class with a TA.
This professor was very helpful and clear in expectations.
Sister Green is the GOAT, she loves her students and loves the profession, it was an honor having her as my professor. Loved every minute of ED 200!
Loved Sister Green and ED 200 she did an amazing job! Sweetest person EVER!
Sister Green likes to do activities in class, which involves a lot of standing up and moving around. She also did a lot of jigsawing. That was not for me, but I know many people enjoy those activities. Sister Green was a great professor, but if I were to choose my schedule again, I would likely take this specific class online.
She passionate about Education, and knowledgeable. 200 doesn't require much effort, it would be easy to understand the material just from the online assignments. She good at being willing to talk with me and help me understand the major more fully. She has her student's best interests at heart. My biggest complaint is that class felt like a recap.
She is very willing to help her students and is passionate about what she does. The workload was really easy, and material would be easy to learn without attending class, but attendance is mandatory. She has all her students best interest at heart, and is well educated in what she teaches.
Sister Green is super friendly and genuinely cares about each of her students and helping us succeed. The class is super easy as long as you do your work.
Sister Green is a great professor. I really enjoyed her class. There is sometimes a lot of reading but it is good prep work and worthwhile to do. I thought her past teaching experiences really helped me learn a lot from her. She is super kind and understanding. I always felt like I could go talk to her and approach her if I ever had questions.
Melissa Green is caring and understanding. She is approachable and will answer your questions if you ask. She is hardworking and busy, but she sets time aside for her students.
Sister Green is a kind, inspiring teacher. There is usually a prep assignment for class and then usually a project do at the end of the week. There is a lot of group work. If you stay on top of your work it is a pretty chill class. She is always really happy.
Pros: Sister Green taught with experience and passion. Class was lecture-based, but videos and discussion helped engagement. Prep work related to class and was manageable, 1-2 hours each. Allowed for group project feedback. Cons: Sister Green was gone for many classes, but made fair compensation for that. Some prep videos were repetitive (Madison).
Sister Green was fair but caring and absolutely 100% put her students first. Partially learned from her previous history working with elementary students. She may not have the same manners of speech as other teachers, she respects everyone and puts the craft before herself. A very respectable teacher, from start to finish.
The TA was not the most consistent grader, but I am not sure by the time you take this course she will be there. The class was overall pretty easy other than that.
In Sister Green's Teaching as a Profession, you can expect to work in a group and communicate with others. Sister Green does a good job of walking around as you discuss in groups and leaving room for questions. Also, Sister Green has an individual survey system that ensures everyone does their part in assignments.
Sister Green is overall a great professor. Prepare for lots of assignments and busy work. Sister Green seems to care for her students and want them to succeed. I have emailed her a few times and have lacked to get a response, but other than those few things, a pretty good course. Not sure I would take courses from her again though.
Sister Green knows what she is talking about and provides personal experiences that helped us understand the assignments and material. This was her first time teaching this specific course so I'm sure there were things that would be done differently in the future. Overall, a good teacher even if I wasn't a fan of the class itself.
Sister Green wants the best for her students. Sister Green gave many examples from her experience in the classroom that helped me understand some of the ways to be a good teacher. There are lots of in-class discussions about topics that we were already assigned to read before class. Overall, this class was good, but some things were repetitive.
She did a good job teaching; I was able to understand everything. There were a lot of assignments with preparing for the class as well as a group project every week. She was a good teacher and I she made it easy for us to get a hold of her if we had questions or needed anything.
Lectures are very informative and provides engaging activities that are collaborative. Provides feedback and let's us know about assignments ahead of time.
She's a good Teacher
Very nice professor and does a lot to help you succeed in this course.
Sister Green was a great teacher. We did fun group projects and had lots of interactive lessons. She has a lot of experience and really helped me get more excited about continuing my Elementary Education degree. This class was a great starting point and gave me a strong foundation to build on.
I had a good time in Sister Green's class. She cares about her students and wants them to succeed, as long as they put the effort forward. The majority of the assignments are group projects that are with the same group each time. Overall, amazing professor and great class.
Sister Green is amazing! She gives great inspirational lectures and lessons, and gives clear instruction on assignments and projects. This is my first semester doing teaching and she made it worthwhile!!
I feel liked I learned a lot in this class. Group assignments almost every week, you have the same partners the whole semester. She lets you fill out a group member rating assignment so you can let the teacher know if a partner did well or wasn't doing anything. Do the preparation assignments. It can be a lot of reading to get through!
She's super chill and very very nice , very east to talk to.
Sister Green is absolutely wonderful! She is very caring for each of her students and is evidently passionate about what she does. She will help you out anytime. The ED200 class was not my favorite class, but it did cover the basics of education and provided a good foundation for upcoming classes. The work seems tedious, it is highly informative!
She is a very jigsaw puzzle teacher meaning that each person becomes knowledgeable in a subject then they share what they learn in a group to those that do not know about it. Sister Green is a very interactive teacher-we get up and talk and share ideas.. We have a lot of discussions in class about the different assignments we did the night before.
Sister Green is so kind! You can tell that she loves her students. For her class you have to watch a ton of videos though so if you don't like that then you might have a hard time in this class.
This was such a great class! ED200 by itself can feel like a redundant course, but Sister Green did a great job making class worth my time. The prep work for this class was very manageable, and I genuinely learned a lot. Highly recommend taking ED200 from her!
She was great. Very caring and incorporated lots of activities in class. Class instructions were clear and achievable. She is lenient and willing to work with you as she has a busy schedule with many responsibilities that she is balancing.
She's a kind professor & is happy to help u if u have questions, but she's always late to class & 60% of the time she cancels. That may sound appealing, but remember ur paying a lot to attend. She's so sweet w/ lots of teaching experience, but until the attendance is solved, I wouldn't recommend taking her unless u can handle lots of online work.
Sister Green is a wonderful instructor, very accesible and incredibly friendly during and outside of class. On multiple occasions I wasn't able to attend class because of other school related commitments, and she did not penalize me. I feel that the only criticisms I have are directed at the subject matter itself (some work seemed pointless).
I absolutely loved taking class from Sister Green this semester. She was very engaging in class and you can tell she is passionate about what she teaches. There is a good amount of work to do outside of class as prep work, but all of it is very useful and interesting.
Really good professor just was absent often but always had an assignment to do for us.
Pretty great teacher! Will give you a solid basic understanding of general education systems. If you pay attention and just put in effort you will excel in the class. I took it for an elective and had no problems!
Sister Green is super caring and loves her students. Believes that learning is on the student and so she isn't very strict when it comes to phones or talking. She's a wonderful person but was often absent. I feel I didn't learn much this class, but she taught with comparisons to the gospel and shared many personal experiences that were helpful.
She is very kind, funny, and cares about her students. She explains things well and usually makes class fun and engaging.
I'm sorry to say this class was disappointing. Sister Green is very nice, but her teaching style felt repetitive and very unengaging. Discussions lacked depth, and the classroom was always way too loud, making it hard to participate in group discussions. It felt disorganized, and I didn't learn much. Sadly, it seemed like a side priority for her.
Some of the class periods are dull and repetitive to the homework. I do love Sister Green, and she gives some helpful advice as a teacher. However, she is gone a lot from class, and so we ended up doing more homework for the classes she missed (which I learned a lot from). The homework is easy and the classwork is light.
Sister Green is an excellent teacher. She is awesome and knows the material that she is teaching about.
Sister Green is good with showing her students respect. I appreciated her willingness to help her students, even outside of class. Sometimes, though, she was not always clear on when we were having class. She had to be away for trips in her other commitments sometimes and once or twice she didn't say ahead of time if we were having class.
She rocks. Will help you and has experience. To be honest 100/10
I would suggest taking this class online. I didn't feel that it was a good use of my time. Most of what I learned in this class could have been summed up in an email with 2 links. Attendance is points but I ended up missing a bunch of classes and got a good grade regardless.
She is super nice and is a great teacher
Sister Green has fantastic insight on teaching as a profession. Be sure to have one on one conversations, she's extremely helpful.
Although she is out of class most times due to meetings, she is very sweet when in class. Sister Green is very kind and easy to talk to and very understanding when it comes to talking about grades or assignments. She loves to help and answer questions in any way she can.
Sister Green is super sweet, helpful, and understanding. She made class very enjoyable and was super understanding helping me bring my grade up when I fell behind.
She's very passionate about her class. Lots of group discussions, but only a handful of group projects. I would say, take lots of notes. She covers quite a bit of material in a lesson, but homework isn't to difficult to do.
She is very kind, and you will feel seen in her class. Classes are interactive and encourage discussion. The homework is fairly simple, and if you're putting in effort, you'll do just fine. Attendance is required, but again, classes are engaging so you'll want to be there anyway.
Sister Green was awesome, I loved being in this class so much! She is very passionate about the education field and makes that very clear in her lectures. The tests and assignments are easy to do well on, she gives clear guidance on how to get the best grade possible. I highly recommend taking edcor200 from sister Green :)
Sister Green is a very good teacher overall! She is very understanding and willing to work with each of her students! She was kind and also very obviously knew what she was talking about. However, her attendance policy felt a little bit strict with having to submit an attendance code that you can only get in class every single time.
Sister Green is a wonderful, caring professor. The course and quizzes themselves sometimes feel a bit long, but the class is pretty nice and really explains how to teach in the Savior's way, and sister Green helps you understand the material well.
She is wonderful highly recommend
Sister Green is awesome! I took her class to learn more about what it means to be a teacher and it was perfect! She goes really in depth and teaches you what is expected of you when you become a teacher, which was the most beneficial part for me. She has a lot of experience in the subject and is always prepared for class!
Class was super easy, assignments took a bit of time (watching videos and writing about them) but weren't hard at all. Class environment was great.
Sister Green is a pretty easy teacher. Sometimes the assignments were long, but she's pretty understanding. You can turn in late assignments with a late penalty. She teaches the material great and gives us opportunities to share and work with our groups. I loved how she shared personal experiences about teaching. There are some group projects too.
Sister Green is a good professor. I took an introductory to teaching as a profession class. It wasn't hard at all but I will say there was lots of busy work and sometimes it felt like we would go over a completely different topic in class then get an assignment that wasn't even related to the content. She does prepare you well for her tests!
There are a lot of writing assignments. Not too many questions but be prepared to have a solid amount of writing for every assignment. The overall class isn't hard. Show up and do the work and its easy enough.
She was great! Instructions aren't always clear, but trust your judgement, and you'll be fine. She's patient and very kind. She's also super chill, and I don't ever have to worry about her class.
Sister Green is a very sweet lady. The course was very easy, and most days felt repetitive. There's not a lot of prep work or homework. I would recommend taking this class with her. However, I would want to have different teachers for other courses. I want to be more engaged in the class.
Great teacher! I loved the class and felt like I learned so much about teacher and how to be a good teacher! Loved her class!
Professor Green is very inclusive in her teaching and does all that she can to help students progress. There's lots of homework and group work, but nothing too much to handle.
She's great!
Super kind and understanding person, and gives out as much credit as she can. The work is pretty easy which honestly made me less motivated to complete it lol, but would definitely recommend!
The class was in a lecture format with quizzes as homework that had videos attached to watch.
The professor is super chill, it's clear she loves what she does. She will always answer your questions clearly and explain thoroughly.
She is a fun laid back teacher but sticks with her rules/draws her line. She makes class enjoyable.
sister green is super nice! she uses lots of class discussion so get ready to be friends with your table mates! her assignments are super easy and straight forward and there are a few low pressure group projects. attendance is mandatory. shes super flexible and kind and gives great lessons would take again
I loved Sister Green. She is a wonderful teacher and truly cares about her students. She is always willing to help you with anything. The content taught was clear and useful for my major. We only had class 2 time a week and we had a little 6 - 10 questions assignment about the topic for the week. I would absolutely take her class again!
Sister Green was an amazing teacher. Not only was she fun and caring, but also very informative and opened up new perspectives on different topics. It was helpful to learn about how the Savior taught in correspondence with how teachers now teach. Overall, this class was an easy yet informative class, with a kind and chill teacher!!
Mrs. Green is really good at switching up her teaching style so class actually feels fun and engaging. She makes everyone feel included, and we get to actively participate, work together, and have real group discussions. She's super understanding, and if you ever have a question, she's always open help. Her class was really fun and informational.
I took teaching as a professor with Sister Green. She is a very caring teacher and knows a lot about the education system. The work load is easy and so are tests. The course itself is sometimes confusing and is meant to be an introduction to teaching but nothing feels substantial. Easy class, but almost too easy.
Sister Green was such a great instructor! Her class was enjoyable to be in and you can tell that she has a lot of experience teaching. She taught us with the light of Christ, and I was able to learn a lot about teaching that I never knew before.
She is a good teacher and cares about your learning and understanding. The homework was honestly just busy work, but this is just the introductory class, so what can you expect? Sister Green gets the job done.
Sister Green was great! The content taught in her class was interesting and applicable! Sister Green is very caring and understanding of students. I learned a lot from this class and loved how we learned to teach in the Savior's way!
Was a great class and I learned so much about teaching like Christ. The course seemed disorganized with the topics. I zoned out in the lectures. Just make sure to do the homework on time. The teacher was nice and cared for her students. She was not too personal, but I could still tell that she cared for us a as a class.
Sister Greens class was such a joy! Definitely would love to take another class from her. She is super understanding, caring, and makes class super fun! Her EDCOR200 class didn't feel like a college class. It was super fun to learn in and it's just a happy environment. She also tells amazing stories from when she taught elementary school.
I honestly really enjoyed this class. Sister Green was very knowledge in this area and cared about her students. She was very funny and always had a positive attitude. She is very down-to-Earth and is clear with her expectations. Highly recommend taking a class from her!
Sister Green was great! Most of class time was used for discussion and while none of the work was too hard, I felt like I was getting something out of it.
Sister Green is a fantastic teacher. She really knows what she is talking about. She gives homework that isn't busy work; it's actually useful. She's funny, caring, respectful, flexible, and loves what she does! I would 100% have her as my professor again.
Our class often got distracted, but we still learned what we needed to. We usually had extra assignments in the format of quizzes on Canvas, but they were pretty easy. Sometimes a little time consuming, but not super hard or anything.
Sister Green is a caring and knowledgeable professor who genuinely wants to see her students succeed. Lectures are clear, and she is very helpful when you need it. The workload is manageable but requires effort and being organized. Overall, she is fair and supportive, and I would recommend her.
She's a great professor, really cares for her students
Sister Green was an amazing professor. I learned a lot of useful information in her class. She accepts late work, with late fees, but she's pretty understanding if an emergency comes up. Sometimes the assignments were long, but they were all very informative and insightful. Would absolutely take this class or another with Sister Green.
She is a very good teacher but she likes to do weekly pop quizzes and there are from 5-9 questions and they each have to be answered usually in a paragraph or two.
Professor Green's class is highly discussion-based, encouraging students to engage actively and share their ideas. There is a strong emphasis on writing, with regular papers assigned, especially a written reflection or paper due at the end of each week. The workload is steady, but it helps reinforce course concepts. Participation is essential.
Sister Green was super sweet and genuinely cared about each of her students. The assignments were in a quiz format and sometimes took a bit of time to complete, but nothing was too difficult. The tests in this class were very easy. Sister Green's lectures were always relevant to what we were learning. I would definitely recommend this class!
Sister Green is a very kind and understanding person and professor. She is on your side and wants to help you. She is extremely knowledgeable about teaching and has a lot of experience. She can occasionally get off topic a little bit, but usually it is somewhat pertinent.
Sister Green is a fantastic teacher! She can be tough, but she is very fair, and she genuinely cares about her students and their well-being.
The class had a manageable workload, and she gave a lot of good advice on teaching using her own experiences as examples. It was a great introduction to teaching for those who are interested.
I really enjoyed Sister Green's EDCOR 200 class! It was a great course, and we had fun discussing, so get ready to talk and ask questions! Attendance is graded. The only thing I thought was hard was the four group projects, which were a bit difficult to navigate, but if you put effort into this class, you will pass! She is ready to work with you.
It was really fun to listen to her stories as a teacher, and it was super helpful to hear about them so we have a better idea of what to do in those situations. She was an elementary school teacher, so as a high school teacher-to-be, it felt a bit like the assignments were targeted to younger children, but the point was still there :)
Sister Green is actually the best! It was so fun to hear about her experiences teaching. She makes sure that you are set up really well for the assessments. As long as you pay attention and show up, you'll get an A.
Sister Green is a very caring professor but I did not find most of the lectures or assignments to be very meaningful. It was a super easy class but it lacked depth.
Sister Green was awesome, she knew everyone in that class and was easy to understand. She teaches through slideshow lessons and group work and is very easy going. She is kind and willing to help and not afraid to step in and help or talk things through with you.
I loved having Sister Green as my teacher. She shares lots of fun and crazy stories about her teaching experiences.
Sister Green did well at explaining things in class and was an approachable teacher. A lot of what we studied in class was posted on canvas which was really nice to look over and study. I loved this class. It always went so fast.
Melissa Green was a phenomenal teacher. I thought she did a great job of making lessons and lectures engaging and easily understood. Lots of group discussions in class, and a few group projects that are not too difficult or time consuming. If you want to be a teacher, or even are on the fence about it, Sister Green is the professor you want.
