Very interesting, makes psychology easy to understand and uses good examples. I love hearing stories about her own children. She is approachable and helpful. She gives you a review before every exam and if you study that, you can get an A. I am taking 2 more of her classes again next semester.

As long as you go to class, take notes and try to pay attention, you're going to get atleast a B. She is definitly approachable and somewhat layed back.

She made psychology easy and fun to learn! She was always open to additional questions the students had. You have to take a lot of notes, but she gives you a study guide so you know what her tests consist of. I really liked the journals, they were fun to do and helpful. It was a great class and I will probably take another one with her in the futur

Very good teacher. She explains things in depth and helps relate them to our lives. I liked how she uses examples of her own children and relates it to what we're talking about. Read the material, pay attention, and study and you should do fine.

Great professor! She uses a lot of examples & is great at explaining the technical stuff in understandable ways. She's funny too! Go to class, do the review sheets, ask questions & you'll do fine. Tests can be a little tough, but she gives partial credit and lets you defend your answers. I will definitely be taking another class with her!!

Her classes are not for slackers. No easy A's! If you want to be spoonfed don't take her. Do take her if you want your money's worth and to be treated like an adult by someone who knows her stuff. I'm majoring in psych because of her! And btw, I stopped by her office at least once a week and she was always helpful. Love her!!!!!!!!!

Although there is a lot of material in PY102, she's very clear and concise in her teaching style & provides a study guide prior to each test (highly recommend to complete, I did all of them & received an A all exams). Come to class, take good notes, do the work & u will be satisfied with ur final grade (I got an A). Plus grades on a VRY fair curve

She's really funny and crazy in a good way! She's awesome. She does curve in a BIG way but that's because her tests really aren't all that easy. I mean I'd study like crazy for them and only then I'd get good grades.

The tests are so hard, even if you put in a large amount of study time, there's no guarantee you'll get over a B. The professor seems to be friendly, but she does not comment, or interact much, so it's really hard to know where you stand and where you need to improve.

I have taken her for every class I can! She is an amazing prof, very intelligent, very clear. If you fill out her study guides, you will succeed on her tests. They aren't super easy but they get you thinking. I admire her so much for of all her knowledge in the field of psychology. Attendance isn't mandatory, she's very laid back about it.

I took McCeney for two courses before I went to UMD (py203 & py206) and she is literally the most interesting professor there. She wants her students to succeed and she is engaging and understands not to stress out her students. Don't miss lecture bc it's interesting and u wont have to read. Anybody who gave her a bad review is literally nuts.

She is hilarious. She manages to teach in a way that you stay interested. She is open to questions, unless you skipped the day she went over what you're asking about.

This class literally changed my life. I will never forget Dr. McCeney or the things I learned from her and for myself because of the way she taught us to think. I took Dr. McCeney for General Psych too and that class was very good, but nothing else could compare to the sexuality class. Take her for any class but especially this one!!!

She's an amazing professor! I never gave psychology much thought before this class and didn't realize how interesting it was. She's a genius and knows her content EXTREMELY well. She makes lectures extremely fun and crystal clear. Didn't even have to open to book! She will go over everything you need to know in class. Use her study guide! Easy A.

I loved her!!! I loved showing up for her classes. I had her early in the morning but I never skipped because her classes were so enjoyable. This was an easy class I made an A. She's so clear about what she wants and has study guides to help you. Her assignments are easy and she makes it so much fun. Definitely take her you won't regret it.

She was really fun to have as a professor. Constantly cracked me up and is lenient on test grading/assignment grades. There is always a curve on the exams and she gives you a chance to earn as much extra credit on them as you can with the bonus question. Only con is that she tends to get off topic, but she's still pretty great.

Professor McCeney is very sweet and caring! Very few assignemnts but they count for a lot. The class is extremely lecture heavy but she is very understanding.

Great professor! Only two papers (easy grader), and three exams. Even drops one bad exam grade. Only downfall was that you H A V E to study for your exams! They are majority of your grade. She gives great notes and study outlines where you can literally look at notes and fill out study guide.

Take her for a guaranteed A. Just follow the rules and go over the study guide. She gives good lessons and allows you to take good notes. She makes the class inclusive so you won't be shy to ask questions. She shares anecdotes and explains the material in a very easy to understand way, as opposed to using too much jargon. The class is very easy.

This was one of my favorite classes this semester! She is so funny and really makes an emphasis on making the material useful to her students. I feel like I'm learning a lot almost by accident. I got more than a 100% in this class bc her study guides are available at the start of class and extra credit. There is no reason anyone shouldn't get an A.

McCeney is a wonderful professor. She doesn't require you to purchase the textbook, and all the assignments are straightforward and rather easy. She even posts practice questions before the exam date.

she is literally the best professor ever. her lectures are always very entertaining and we often have interesting discussions during class. shes very clear when teaching. overall her class is average but it's still necessary to study hard for the tests. when preparing for tests, reading the textbook and using her study guides are very helpful !

Prof. McCeney has one of the best lectures. So easy to follow even without a PowerPoint presentation. She makes sure everyone understands the topic and discusses it before moving on. Minimal homework, and reading the book isnt even necessary as long as you take notes! Loved this class.

Dr. McCeney is a great psychology professor. She makes it easy to grasp the material and she's very helpful if you need it. The class itself does not have many assignments, so it is important to do well on them. She uses plenty of good examples to help with understanding the material. She is easy access outside of class if you need help.

Professor McCeney lectures are amazing. If you show up to class, you will pass. Her tone is clear and will keep you engaged in her class. Some of the things she taught will stick with you forever. Tests aren't hard if you take good notes during her lectures. She offers extra credit too.

A basic course, chapter quizzes, discussion forums, and then midterm/final exams. Her class was easy to pass. If you read the textbook and do well on the quizzes, you'll get a good grade. The only negative is that she takes a LONG time to grade discussions and exams.

This class is easy. It does your basic read, discuss, participate, and do the quiz. As well as midterm and final. No fancy projects and she does stick with her syllabus. However, she does fail to tell you your midterm and final are not multiple choice like your quizzes. Be aware, they are long and heavy. So read.

great professor and content she teaches is organized. shes very fun but she gets off topic often but in the end she teaches all the material. she responds to emails quickly and is always willing to go over topics again. she posts all her slides on blackboard but dont miss class because theres a lot of information not on the slides.

I took my chances when registering for Professor McCeney's PSYC-215 course, but I am glad I did. As long as you attend all classes, you will do well. Beware that she does not record zoom classes. If you complete all the required assignments with effort, you are guaranteed an "A." Do not waste money buying the textbook, you will not use it!!!

Her class is not that difficult to complete. She makes everything available at once so that we could do our work ahead of time. Shes provides good feedback and she is very laid back and relaxed with us. I would recommend taking her if you need to take psychology.

This online course was fairly easy, everything followed the syllabus and nothing came as a surprise, the outline of what is expected weekly is easy to follow and not a handful of work. Professor can be understanding, but at times difficult to reach. With a GroupMe student can easily help each other figure out their own questions.

I really liked her. She is very funny and I really liked that she was clear in her grading and she did not send a lot of homework. I took her online, she wanted all of us to have our cameras but she was very nice and understanding. She made the class interesting.
