Dr. RG is an amazing professor and really wants you to do well in the class. However, it is an extremely hard class and I find that the exams are more focused on writing what she wants to hear in an answer. Definitely go to office hours and review sessions, this class takes up a LOT of time

I have no idea what advice to give for this class. I went to almost all the office hours even though they were traumatizing. RG encourages questions but then belittles you for not knowing the answer to the question you just asked. She was discouraging in every way and her unique teaching style is a mystery that did not work for anyone I knew.

DR. RG is pretty tough. Need to put in a lot of hours for this class bc I still end up failing, quizzes and exams. Get ready to test out if you really know what she taught in class by yourself when studying that was they only way she told us to study was to make up our own questions, no study guides at all she just wants you to understand material.

Dr. RGs class was super hard but she definitely is very willing to help and explain. She never made me feel dumb for not understanding a concept well enough either. She would help me create problems to help give me more practice and break things down more when needed during office hours. Take her if you can.

Class is not for everyone, the only thing that matters in the class are exams. They involve critical thinking or knowing concepts not taught in class. Practice work is usually easier than exams, so you enter in unprepared. Questions have to be exactly correct or you don't get the points. Office hours aren't great, barely anyone shows up. No help

Dr. RG is an amazing professor, she is very caring and provides many office hours for her students. I truly transformed as a student through her class because there is a lot of critical thinking which is a learning curve and is definitely difficult but if you go to office hours and actively study, you will do great!

She has office hours everyday and truly wants to help u understand. She isn't a bad prof, she j teaches differently/more critically.

RG makes a lower division class harder than anything Ive taken in my upper division classes. She says she gives feedback but doesnt. Exams are always graded by grade scope which is a online system so she doesnt give half credit even if answer are almost correct you will get a lot of points off .

No extra credit in class. Tests are extra critical thinking. Lecture is okay but exam and quizzes really put you to the test. She cares but she needs to slow down because not everyone understand the material we cover in the short amount of time we have in class with her. I would t take her again respectfully.

This class is heavily exam based, exams are very difficult and has many critical thinking problems. RG cares a lot but office hours aren't too helpful and I often felt intimidated to go. This class is very fast-paced and active participation is required, lots of group activities & course content is very difficult. Wouldn't take again, respectfully.

The material is easy but her tests are "critical thinking" but they are tricky questions that made me panic The test question also require a lot of writing so you can get all the points. The test were hard with the confusing question and like I said the material is easy but the tests are made difficult. studying for the tests doesn't really help.

BIO208 is a difficult class, regardless of the professor you have. The tests in this class (which are the same for every professor) are very hard. None of the questions are straightforward and are long. However, if you attend (almost) every lecture and office hours, you will do good. She is always available and loves to help.

This class was very disorganized. It was a tough class with a weekend video and lectures throughout the week. Most of the lectures are not spent teaching until the very end but are used to do practice problems. Tests and Quizzes were difficult due to her wanting to challenge you and go above and beyond to get a passing grade.

Class material is difficult regardless of the teacher. RG is enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She's a picky grader, so don't rely on tutors or SI. Instead, GO TO OFFICE HRS to check HW answers and ask about concepts if needed, since concepts are taught through videos assigned on weekends (do practice probs during class). No curves/partial credit.

Best professor I've ever had. Genuinely cares about the subject matter, has a dozen ways for us to receive extra help, and leaves *personalized audio recordings* after every test on how we could improve for the next assessment. A truly good person, an excellent instructor, pay attention to receive an A, just do the reading or she'll get mad lmao

Mixed feeling about Dr RG. Her quizzes aren't hard when you study and as soon as you learn how she structures questions and quizzes, youll be ok. However, you must attend every class, not because she takes attendance, but because you won't do good if you don't understand her language. Go to everyone of her SI's and office hours and you will be ok.

RG is for sure qualified to teach this course, but she does not do it in an effective way, she doesn't actually lecture, her tests are ridiculously tricky for no reason and she constantly changes or cancels her office hours. If you enjoy going to sleep on time, she probably isn't the prof for you.

I never went to her SI sessions but by paying attention during the lectures and solving the practice problems she gives you in a study group, I was able to receive an A my freshman year.
