Awesome teacher, she actually teaches the main point of things and not just facts. I get the big picture, and the tests are as easy as taking a quiz. I see no one having a problem in this class unless you don't attend.

She is a really easy teacher that makes you actually u like history even if you hate it. I actually enjoy going to her class because she is very creative in her teaching. She gives the exact question on each of the tests so all you need to do is study them. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!!!

She's an EXCELLENT teacher - extremely friendly and entertaining, but lecture and tests is the core of the class. If you don't take DETAILED notes and study, the tests can kill your grade. Be prepared to write and DON'T miss class. Other than that, she's absolutely hilarious.

I would recommend Dr. Soldani to ANY student. She has a way of getting even someone who hated history interested. I actually looked forward to coming to class... which is good because, if you miss you're in trouble. She gives a lot of information but if you show up and take notes her class is quite easy.

I took this teacher at Nova--twice! Unfortunately, she left to teach at TCC. But she is one of those professors that truly enjoy what she does. Her tests aren't a piece of pie if you don't take notes and memorize the important facts-- Very fair, comes up with new ways to keep class entertaining. Take any class that she's teaching.

Obviously, the last person to rate Mrs. Soldani wasn't too bright. I took the accelerated semester (12 weeks crammed into 6) and I only showed up to class one day a week. I studied for the tests the night before. I got a 92% in the class. her class is cool and I def recommend it...And she is pretty hot....TAKE IT WITH HER, YOU WILL ENJOY!

Very funny and knows her stuff. She makes history interesting. Her tests are very easy if you go to class and take decent notes. On the final, after half the class left, she looked up and said that those left were to write +5 on our tests b/c we cared enough to try and do a good job.

Very Clear presentation of objectives and data.Free riders beware: She uses a participation incentive concept that grades you against your peers. She doesn't post most assignments or passwords to online quizes. A good preparation for university expectations.

I would take her again in a heart beat but not so much in the summer. There is a lot of work, but she is very fair, and rewards those who work hard, but be sure to come to class, leatures with powerpoints (but not with notes on them, but pictures to guide her lecture), overnight essays, essay exams, and online quizzes.

My grade at the end was a 99.38% Test aren't hard if you study the IDs on the study guide and the Multiple Choice. Uses play money which comes in handy for points on test. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN

The best history teacher TCC has.Although there are no multiple choice in this class she allows enough time in class and through email to ask questions. And she gives money for extra credit. I ended with a 98.9. I'm telling you take this class. attendance is not mandatory but you should come to get the note because people usualy try to sell notes.

I took Dr. Soldani for AMH2010 online and she is an awsome teacher! She likes for her students to communicate with her via facebook and she usually responds to any questions right away. Easily the most amazing teacher I have ever had in my whole life (high school included) I have never had a teacher that was so nice, funny, charismatic, cool, and smart. I wish every college student could have a teacher like her at some point. She is just amazing. I hated this subject yet she made me feel like it was the best class out there.

Before this class, my knowledge of history was nonexistent, but after a week of taking this course I already learned more than I ever had before. You can't skip class and expect to do well, you learn through the lectures (which are HILARIOUS and so informative). Coming from someone who hates history: TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! Don't miss class, not that you will ever want to, because her lectures are always full of energy and include history taught the right way. If you are lucky enough to find availability in her class, take advantage of it!

I took Dr Soldani for US History 1 & 2 on-line and enjoyed it very much. I would definitely recommend taking her classes. I wish I could have taken them in person and not on-line.

Before taking her class, I was not good in History at all. This was my first time taking an online class and it was super easy! Just make sure to do treasure hunts, essays (only 2), and stay on top on your MyHistoryLab and you will pass! My final exam was a 10 paragraphs essay and I made a 100% on it! She's super helpful & respond to emails fast.

Dr. Soldani is great and I am so sad that she won't be my professor anymore. She is hilarious and she swears alot but thats just her personality! Her tests are written response but its pretty easy because she teaches her lectures are a movie. TAKE HER, you won't regret it! Oh and she gives "money" which is equal to points that you can turn in.

Online class. Seems like a great person. Weekly chapter work. 3 tests + final. Tests were all essay questions. She gives 20 or so questions in advance and but only half are on the test. Assigned two 1,000 word papers in the last month of the semester. Probably be easier learning the material if taken on campus.

You must come to class. 1.) Because you need to be there to understand what she's asking on the test and 2.) Because her class is F'ing amazing. If history class is a class you dread going to, take her. She'll change your perspective on history class forever.

FAVORITE TEACHER. I've never liked history but her lectures kept me interested and make you want to go to class. She's so funny and cares for her students, just don't be late to class. There are weekly extra credit opportunities and 4 tests (including the final) that if you go to class and take notes you should get As on all of them. TAKE HER 100%

She's a helping caring person and I would've got an A if didn't have a job, but I do admit I really hate the papers you have to do for this particular class. They didn't make sense to me and the material was so dry overall too. I would take her again, but definitely not online.

Easiest class I've ever taken. Not only is this professor super helpful & nice, but she's willing to work with students. Her test are the same questions from the study guide so just memorize the answers! Her papers can be long, but as long as you put in effort you will get a good grade. If you put in the work, you will pass. It's impossible to fail

My favorite Professor at TCC! Soldani is hilarious, and teaches history in a way for everyone to understand. I learned more about history in one semester of her course vs years in high school. Only a few tests, very few homework assignments that you can use to study from, and a final project. Would recommend to anyone.

BEST CLASS EVER !!! It's super easy. Extra credit is always available. This is my all time favorite class at TCC. Weekly assignments but they're very easy . As long as you study you'll pass the test. A study guide is always available. You also make the syllabus as a class. I enjoyed every bit of it.

I took her class a couple years ago and I came back to rate her because she was one of THE BEST TEACHERS I have ever had. I would recommend her if you're open to learning. Her tests are written essay questions but don't let that scare you. The best class of my college career. Learned so much but also enjoyed it.

I absolutely hate history but taking her class wasn't bad at all. She's super funny and likes to have a good time. All her quizzes are free response. She gives you a study guide for EVERY assessment. If you do all your homework on time and do well on the quizzes, this class will be a breeze to pass. I'd take her again if I had to.

This class online was recommended to me by someone else and I'm so grateful. Easiest class I've ever taken (including high-school). If you want an A, take this class. If you want to actually learn the material, I wouldn't. She gives you the questions/answers to all tests you just have to memorize them and all assignments are for completion.

This is by far the BEST class I have ever taken at TCC. Melissa's lectures are fun and you will definitely be entertained. You write papers on the notes you take in class. If you type the papers with the notes from class, its easier to retain the information for the tests!! There are a few extra credit opportunities, and be sure to be on time! :)

The tests and homework are a little much but if you put the work in she will see it. She is so understanding and respectful. Dr. Soldani is the most friendly professor at TCC, and makes every class a fun and interesting experience. She takes teaching seriously and will use literally every minute of class every day to teach as much as possible. She genuinely cares about her students and will do what she can to help people with personal problems. Tests are all long essays.

Notes are really important for this class, but as long as you show up to class you should do great. I absolutely love this class and hate missing it, my knowledge was actually expanded having her as a professor. I would definitely take her again!!

It is very important to take notes in the class meaning that attendance is mandatory so you don't want to miss lectures. Make sure you take detailed notes and you should be fine for the tests. I recommend to make notecards for reviewing for the exams. As long as you come in willing to earn your grade and do your part, you should be fine.

She's one of those few teachers who actually cares about her job. She gives in depth lectures that actually make sense. As someone who hates history, by the end of the course my mind was changed. I highly recommend her over anything. She truly has a passion for teaching and cares about the wellbeing of her students.

Dear lord where to start. She reminds me a lot of Ms. Frizzle from Magic School Bus in the sense that she is eccentric and enjoyable. Soldani would find a way to get your attention during the lecture. The one thing I did not like is that all the test were written. Also, do not sign up for any optional assignments, just study for the test.

I've taken a lot of history classes, but this was by far the best one ever. She is extremely engaging and lectures like it's all one big story instead of boring events. You can't miss class if you want to get an A and you must take good notes. Other than that her class is totally worth it and she offers extra credit opportunities all semester.

Lectures were always great to listen to, but be prepared to listen and take a lot of notes. She is easy to reach outside of class and very easy to talk to about grades. Testing is different from normal tests and she's flexible with due dates. She made class interesting everyday!

Wow where do I begin? Wonderful teacher the textbook is not needed no laptops and no recording devices all her lectures are verbal so you have to take notes by pen and paper. She talks kind of fast but its because she knows her history . If you miss clssses I guarantee you will be lost on lectures . Her tests are all key terms only

Very good class and if you skip you fail, every lecture is a a page and a half and the tests aren't hard if u practice all key terms, final exam and research papers are the only thing that is really challenging.

The way she taught history really made it stick in my head, she's really funny and has plenty of life stories to tell you. She uses a lot of profanity so if that's something that bothers you keep that in mind. If you are not a good or at least decent auditorial learner and note taker this might not be a good class for you

One of the best teachers Ive ever had. She teaches history by telling it like a story in her lectures, making it extremely interesting. You definitely have to work hard in her class by taking notes and paying attention, but for some reason you end up really WANTING to work hard. She ended up being someone who wrote me a recommendation letter. 10/10

Dr Soldani is funny and a great teacher. I have literally never known so much about U.S. history before or cared as much, and now I can list off what happens to cause the Cold War. She does lectures in a story format, one thing leading to another and it really helps you remember.

shes fire. so glad I found her. she puts the STORY back in history. she doesn't force you to remember dates or anything like that, just the order, sequence, cause and effect of events. She teaches you things that your typical history teacher wont or wouldn't think to. she does force you to write all your notes by hand. Lectures always entertaining.

All Soldani wants is participation and to have a good time. I never worry about this class because I know that she wants the best for us. She is HILARIOUS and so respectful of us if we miss but really wants us to attend. The class I took with her was an online class, and she makes her classes just as interesting online, with many different activities and projects pertaining to the subject.
