She was cool. I wish I had her again. I thought her class was real cool. I liked her style!

She was totally awesome, i mean sure she wore the same thing every day but she made psychology fun because she didnt hold anything back, she was frank and to the point, and i loved the way she used her own life to give us examples. It didnt really help around test time but isnt that what the book is for?

She is a wonderful teaching! She knows her stuff. Yes she wears the same thing every day get over it! She does say the f word a lot so if you are offended by swearing dont take her. She treats you like an actual person rather than some student who knows nothing

While she knows her stuff, I got tired of hearing her blow her own horn. She has a need to brag about herself, which is boring and not what I paid to hear. Her tests are easy, you don't need to buy a book, just take good lecture notes.

Likely to drop the "f-bomb" in class. She is what she is and makes no excuses for it. However, her need to tell the class this information makes one think she is trying to justify herself. Offers extra credit and tries to be friends with students on a personal level which was strange in my opinion. To her credit, she knows the subject.

I really enjoyed her class. I made an "B" if you come to class you will pass.

She goes off on random stuff in her lectures but she keeps them pretty interesting. All of her tests are ESSAYS, but as long as you take good notes in class and study for the tests you will do fine!

Just take good notes and skim through the chapters in your book and you will pass. Gives extra credit and will work with you. Her final is a breeze. All tests are essays, but if you give more info than needed, she will give you extra points. I made an A. She's interesting.

Was very helpful, did talk a lot about personal experiences but it was usually related to lecture topic. Her examples made things easier to understand. Will take again.

Hardcore and doesn't spoonfeed you. Wears the same black outfit everyday. On the bright side: she has amazing lectures and is a very great teacher. You get an A if you deserve an A. She'll let you drop your lowest grade on tests. Her tests are essays.

She is intimidating at first, has the worst haircut I've ever seen, and wears the same thing everyday. However, she's a pretty good teacher and I'd take her again. Tests are essay, but really aren't too hard. You'll do very well if you study and participate in class.

She is hard but you will learn a LOT. She explains everything really clear and she is always available whenever you need her. Her class is really interesting. Love it, but a lot of homework and a lot of reading

Excellent professor and class. The workload is manageable, but it ultimately depends on your effort. You have to come prepared to the class, it will only help you on the exams. Professor Weston welcomes questions and is not shy to share her point of view. Extra credit is available if you ask. All lectures were related to class materials/topics.

I made a B in her class. She does have strict guidelines, but you can do it, as long as you put time into it. Be ready to do a term paper. I did a 10 pg paper! My class was like 50+ students, but by the end, there was >20! It just showed students didn't take her term paper seriously AFTER she mentioned it since the 1st day & in the syllabus.

Great instructor. Most likely, people who think she is hard are lazy and probably procastonate. She is very clear about how to earn an A, and if you thought it was hard it was more than likely you, not her. She was quite possibly the best instructor I've ever had. BTW, chipolte next week M W?

I thought her lectures were very interesting. If you want an A in her class you MUST listen in class and read the chapters. A recorder helped me when she lectured. The class was very intense but honestly I learned alot. If she sees that you are trying then she will help you. Her class started out with about 55 and ended with around 15 at the max.

Great teacher, you will use two books, psychology and section critiques. Mrs Weston will help you, however you must give alot of attention to homework,and papers, and tests. Have to learn her teaching style.. We be very hard if you dont atleast try to study. impossiable to pass without doing mini papers and test.

After experiencing different colleges, and currently grad student, i always remember what a great instructor is Ms. Weston.

I have no idea what everyone here is arguing about, SURE she is a hard professor and most of the questions do come out of reading the text book but this is college. I made a A in her class and she was helpful. Studying is key in this class and she does offer extra credit.

Ms Weston is, in my opinion, one of the best teachers I have EVER had. She can come across as impossible, but her intention is not to be your friend, but to send you from her class with knowledge. This is college so expect to do college level work. If you apply yourself to this class you will be satisified with your grade.

Just an amazing teacher!! Took her class and I can say, yes is not easy at all, but lazy people you have to understand this is college, you have to work, you need to earn your grade. Saw a lot of my classmates droping th off the class, they did not work on assigments, and after that just complain about her. Shame on you lazy students.

Awesome teacher who is very knowledgeable about the course. You Must pay attention in class as this makes reading the book much easier. You cannot take her class without learning anything. Great Lady!!!! If i got an A you can also.

Amazing teacher even though when I took she was going through a rough time, but she does anything to help you and is extremely knowledgeable on has lots of experience in the field. I completely respect Melissa.

Honestly after reading these reviews I was terrified of her, yet due to my schedule her class was my only option. Can honestly say I dont regret taking her! She is extremely knowledgeable and answers all your questions. Very picky when it comes to grading papers AND THE FORMAT! Her tests are not hard if you study! Dont be scared of the syllabus!

Very difficult course, yet not impossible to pass. Ms. Weston is VERY clear about her expectations for her students and will definitely make you work for your grade. Tough, but very approachable. Don't be afraid to talk to her about your grades, she's almost always open to help you out, unless you've really screwed yourself over.

Such an amazing woman! Her class is very tough and it seems like you're always wondering if you can handle it or not, but the key is going and talking to her. Never ignore her comments about coming to her office to go over a grade. She means well and is truly there to help her students reach their goals. Study for test! Don't cram, just review.

She may seem intimidating but she is a sweet genuine lady. Participate in class, she gives cool stories during class. Visit her during her office hours. I honestly thought I was going to fail the class because of my grades but I ended up receiving a 100 because I attended all the SI sessions and did all the extra credit.

Her class was a real challenge because writing transitioning from MLA to APA style is difficult. However, she gives great feedback when needed and will help her students out if they go to her during office hours and ask for help. Her exams ARE challenging as well, but doing the exercises online will increase your understanding of the subjects.

Professor Weston is a tough professor. But she does care. If you want to pass the test you must read not all of the material is covered in lecture but you are given reading assignments and if you don't read you will not pass the test. To an outsider, she can seem real tough but once you get to know her, she is AMAZING.

She is so nice, one of the best teachers I've had. Her class is difficult only because of the research paper we do throughout the semester which is in APA if you get a red book that she recommends it'll help. She does grade hard, she will give you a 0 if you make a mistake but she will also change it once you correct it. She also gives good advice.

I LOVED her! She's absolutely my favorite, I would of gotten an A if I hadn't slacked off in the final paper but I absolutely loved her class. The stories she tells and they way she gives her lectures are great!

Her stories were very interesting and correlated perfectly with what the lessons were about. We had about one or two chapters each week that we had to take notes on and had to take a test every week as well. She was good at giving us feedback on our papers to improve our grades. She may seem intimidating at first but shes the complete opposite.

I was so scared to have her as my professor by looking at the reviews but finishing up her class this fall semester she was def my favorite and best professor! She is very clear with what she expects from you, grading and etc. However, her emails are very though and it almost sounds like shes screaming at you but shes doing it for a good reason.

I was nervous about her class because of the first emails she sent, but I ended up liking her style of teaching and her class in general. You'll have to do an APA style paper which she does grade hard on and counts as big part of your grade. Overall, she explained everything well just make sure to read her emails and announcements!

Professor Weston came off as an intimidating presence when I first started her class. She noted tough grading with a heavy emphasis on learning APA. And in this class, you WILL learn how to write in APA style with her "strict" grading. That being said, she makes her expectations clear. Follow these and you'll do fine

While Prof. Weston does have use though grading with a heavy empahisis APA format her honesty when it came to feedback was refreshing. You WILL learn how to write in APA during this class. She is easy to talk to and easy to reach as she herself will request an appointment to talk about your paper and any concerns. Just turn in the paper to pass.

Honestly, by reputation she scared the bajeezas out of me. I withdrew after 1st class. BIG MISTAKE!! Yes, she is a tough grader on your papers, but it is because she is trying to teach you the CORRECT way to write a paper. She is an amazing Professor and person. You don't have to get on her good side. Just have the attitude you want to learn.

You have to put in the work and please follow instructions. I received help and great feedback on my low grades. I was able to ask questions after class and by scheduling team meetings for assistance. Professor Weston gives great detail on how to progress through the assignments. Opportunity for extra credit.
