My favorite teacher!! She is a very nice lady and her class was a lot of fun. She keeps the lectures interesting and easy to understand. The labs are great. If you go to class and study it's an easy A!

great teacher, teachers in a way so that you will actually learn, not just be able to pass a test. her test are challenging, but they test your ability to use what you learn, not if you can memorize a definition, labs are interesting, you points daily for going to class, in the form of a note card you and a group turn in! overall great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miss Gentry is a wonderful professor. She is always ready to help. She always answers emails. she is great at explaining lectures and labs. Her tests were challenging, but overall if u studied the power points and wrote notes, you were ready to go! LOVED HER CLASS!!!

i consider myself a bright student and saw her class as hard! theres a lot of reading to do and the tests are quite hard. on the bright side, shes an amazing teacher that will make sure you learn the material before testing you over it. make sure you dont sit by anyone stupid because there are tons of group work.

I loved this class! She is a hard teacher and her tests are hard. She makes sure you are aware of her expectations on day one though! She is always willing to help anyone who asks. She will even help you with questions ON the test! She is very good at what she does. You have to show up and you have to study but if you do your part she does hers!

Ms.G is the best professor I've ever had!! Considering I have a previous bachelors degree, this is saying a lot. She is challenging, but encouraging and always willing to help. I have never had a teacher that was so engaging and funny, yet so educational! You must take her!!

A good teacher will explain information thoroughly; a great teacher will then challenge you to use what you have learned effectively. This isn't a history class, it's not about remembering facts. It's about critical thinking and preparing for a career in science. If that doesn't sound awesome, then you may want to rethink your major. TAKE HER.

Had this class in the morning and she literally made me want to look forward to school. was very helpful and you could tell that she wanted you to succeed. She makes class really fun and puts things in a way that you can understand. as long as you go to class everyday and take notes, you will do great in her class.

I couldnt have cared less about Biology before I started, now I really enjoy it. Its not an easy class per se, but it is nice to have a class that really makes you think instead of just memorized. I would recommend her, as long as youre willing to actually work. Plus, I may have developed a minor crush. Which is okay.

Took for bio for majors. Very nice teacher. Gives VERY thorough explanations during lecture, so take notes, a laptop is the best way. Do not miss class. Labs/Exams are university caliber so dont slack off. Study the notes and study guide and you will do very well. No tricks, no dirty moves on exams. Very straightforward. Very nice lady.

Ms. G is an amazing TEACHER! She is incredibly intelligent and if she doesn't answer your random question in class, she will email the answer to you later. Use your laptop/tablet and type EVERYTHING SHE SAYS! The power point will be available later to print...what she SAYS is the important part! Study your notes and watch videos to make an A.

Great teacher! Really cares about her students and will help you succeed if you put effort in. Lots of evolution. She assumes most students and scientist agree with her belief in evolution and global warming. Easy to understand but tests can be confusing so ASK QUESTIONS. She'll always help

She really cares about her students, she's very funny, she only teachs what u need to kno and avoids making you learn specific details. I was nervous cause science scares me but I did great and earned a B. Everything is super easy besides tests, she tests by applying the knowledge not memorization. Ms. G is an amazing teacher! She's hilarious and cares about her students. However, her tests are extremely hard, and some questions are very unclear, so be sure to ask questions! Also, study the notes for an hour a day, then the whole weekend before the exam and you should be fine

Ms. Gentry is a wonderful teacher! DEFINITELY register for her class for Bio for majors because she is top notch! She grades very fairly and there are extra points built into the grading scale in case you make a bad exam grade or have a mishap. She's very enthusiastic about bio and she CARES about her students' education. She makes it interesting.

Bio for majors is a difficult class no matter who you take, but she makes it easy to obtain an A so long as you put in the effort. Ms. G is the best professor I have ever had. She wants every student to succeed not only in her class but throughout their college career. Ms. G will be there for you every step of the way all you have to do is ask.

She is the best science teacher I have ever had! Her tests are lecture based, but makes you apply what you know on the tests so it's not just memorizing. The class is supposed to be challenging, but if you study, do your homework, and attend all the classes and labs you'll do just fine!

Great online class! If you have the choice to choose between in class and online, take the 8 week online. Yes there is a report, quiz and test every week but very manageable. Even though I never met her she always responded to my emails and was concerned if I hadn't turned in a report on time. Take her online class!

Took online Nutrition in the 8-wk fast track. There is a weekly exam worth 50 points. EC quizzes available for 1 point each. A tedious, nutrition report due weekly. 2 must be mailed in or hand delivered. I have a background in Bio so this was not diff for me, but I would not suggest it as an 8-wk class to people w/o previous Bio experience.

Mrs Masse is an awesome teacher! Knows her stuff and teaching in a very interesting way. Very practical applications to biology. Loved her class and will take Nutrition from her this fall. We hardly ever used the book. Opened it once. But u need the code for mastering. LOVE LOVE LOVE her! HIGHLY recommended. Hard wrk will get you an A!

as far as a person she is awesome but as a professor she is very difficult. Her tests are worth waaay too many points which would be okay if she graded the tests fairly. Her tests have a LOT of TRICK QUESTIONS. I like that you have to apply what you learn but you can never get a 100% on anything because of that.

This class is a very interactive one and she also makes you think for yourself, she lets you know what she wants from you, she doesn't take crap if you pay attention in class and do the work you will pass. It's typical amount of work but as long as you listen, it's not that hard! You have to study, but this is college right? She will actually teach you something! Mrs. Masse does know biology. It took me a while to acclimate to her teaching style, afterwards I actually loved her style. Another professor subbed for her and you could def tell the difference, Mrs. M was WAY better, she really knows her stuff, and most important she is passionate about biology. If you want to learn, take her!

She is so bubbly, she really loves what she teaches! When I listen in lecture, even subjects that would have been boring become fascinating and exciting. She is one of my favorite professors so far!

I took her Fast-Track Nutrition course. First off, Melissa Masse is about as sweet as they come. She will actually send an email if you miss an assignment making sure you are okay. As far as points go, you will be graded on pure effort. It's a pretty easy A. One simple homework assignment and test per week. Take her!

Took her based off of reviews here and was very disappointed. 16 week Blended Biology for majors. Extreme amount of in class homework, lab and also connect .Don't read the chapters, it's a waste of time. Her tests are typically around 25 questions, so if you miss many your grade is greatly affected. Likes trick questions. Study the homework.

My favorite professor by far! Very helpful! Expect homework. I took the blended online class. Attend the lab as she goes over a lot of info that will be on the tests! I suffered an injury that could have set me back but she was so helpful! I earned an A I her class.

Professor Masse is probably one of the best science teachers I have ever experienced. Very detailed with her Ecology class and this was a eight week summer course ONLINE. She was organized, attentive, helpful, and communicates well. I would take a class with her again.

Class is tough but she gives you lots of help during class and through emails. I still use handouts from this class in my other bio courses.

Also side note make sure you're sitting next to someone you really like during lecture, you'll be talking to them alot.

Prof Masse was my favorite professor this semester! she is funny and witty and give great lectures. She teaches clearly. I personally did not need to study a lot outside of class. I got an A on every test. Tests are 40 multiple choice questions with a few short answer. lots of small assignments for easy points. extra credit also. loved her.

She was very helpful. I was unable to get a book when the class started and was very understanding, she even tried to help me find a book. She would respond very quickly to emails and was very respectful. Even though the class was easy there was so much I learned throughout the class.

I am taking professor Masse's eight online nutrition course. She grades fairly, answers emails, provides great feedback, and is very clear. He class consisted of 6 projects, weekly tests, and several extra credit opportunities. She's awesome and if she teaches another science class that I have to take I will definitely try to get in it.

Melissa is AMAZING! Her tests are very hard. Other than that her class is interesting and fun and you will learn a lot! Highly recommend her! Be sure you study hard for the tests. She does give good study guides. And meet with her for anything your not understanding.

There are 4 exams, 2 lab presentations, 1 lab report, 1 research project and 4 discussions for extra credit. She can be particular but you can adapt to her way of doing stuff. Study for the tests because they take the lessons and want you to apply them in real life situations.

Took Mrs. Masse for BIO for majors. Pretty easy class as long as you show up and complete the homework and labs. There is a lot of homework but it's only to better prepare you for the exams. She is a sweet and funny teacher who genuinely cares about the success of her students.

This was an 8 week class, and it flew by! Professor Masse was so organized, and she was always quick to give feedback and post grades. The course's layout is easy to navigate, and the book is provided. I learned so much about nutrition, and I feel like it should be a requirement to take this class. I would take this professor over and over again!

I took honors intro to bio for non-majors and Professor Masse was an incredible instructor. She really cares about teaching what you need to know while making it interesting. Any time I felt like I was behind, she scheduled a meeting with me in her office, and I always left understanding better. Just participate in class/lab & do the homework

I took Professor Masse's online 8-week course and it was really good! I got a good grade and she made things super easy and she was always accessible outside of office hours if you needed help. Tests and quizzes are open book! This class is easy to take with other harder classes or even other 8-week classes. Not too much due each week.

Professor Masse really cares that you understand and enjoy biology. She is very passionate about what she teaches and you can tell. She is very responsive and helpful to any concerns and questions. Her non-majors classes do not have unit exams and the chapters quiz are open book and multiple attempts. The quizzes are over 2-3 chapters and openbook.

Very nice/helpful professor. Allows you one late assignment and extra credit. I took the 4 week online nutrition course and just finished with an A. Quite a bit of work because its a short class but very easy. Tests are easy as well and as long as you stay on top of due dates you should be fine.

You switch back & forth between 3 assignments due one week and 5 due the next. It is all very easy work, just can be time consuming. You can retake your weekly quizzes up to 3 times, and they are open book. Even missing 5 assignments throughout the whole semester, I still finished with an A. Her responses are super fast, and she's eager to help.

Shes the funniest teacher Ive ever seen! her test are really hard but it was open note so its fair!! She understand your situation if you explain it to her and she gives extra credit too!! would take her again if I have to!!

Took nutrition the 8 week class, not too bad, let's you redo one assignment which is nice. there is an extra credit opportunity for up to 20 points (class total points 1000). the work is easy but definitely time consuming, there were 3-5 assignments each week, test every other week. pretty simple and she grades rlly easily ended with like 98%.

Professor Willis was a great instructor. Her style is a bit wild. However, she covers a great deal of ground quickly and in a way that is easy to understand. As long as you pay attention, show up to lectures and lab, and practice what she tells you, you will succeed in her class.

Great lectures just be sure to take notes so you can stay on track. Lecture quizzes online once a week based on what you learned. Easier to understand lectures versus other science classes I've taken. Lab once a week which she is very helpful with. Would take again!

Prof. W is the goat. Even though I HATE Bio, she was one of the best prof I've had. Her lectures are not required, but if you miss one be prepared to be confused. Same for labs. If you miss lab, you can drop that one or your lowest lab grade if you attended all of them. Unit tests are on BlackBoard but they are timed and you cant go back. 9/10 dope

She doesn't accept late work and also won't let you complete assignments ahead of time unless the unit with those assignments is already open. I had to complete about 6 assignments in the 4 days leading up to my wedding when I got married and was leaving for a week. There's also quite a lot of tests and reading. Good prof, not very accommodating.

Overall Professor Willis is an amazing professor!!! You have around 5 assignments a week which a very simple to understand and her grading is very fair. She will drop your lowest lab, test, and quiz score at the end of the semester. Overall I very much so enjoyed this class and would take any class by professor Willis again!

Took as an 8-week online course. She was great! I recommend her! The course was easy, but if you have trouble with calorie counting, I would avoid it.

Prof. Willis is an amazing teacher. She brings a great attitude to her class each and every day and shares that with her students. Lectures are very informative and easy to follow along with. There was only one lecture homework per week that takes 30min-1hr. There really is not much to do other then study and learn the material.

Professor Masse's nutrition class is manageable with consistent effort. The workload is time-consuming but straightforward. Utilizing unstuck ai along with the open-book quizzes helped me stay on top of the material. Overall, an informative class worth taking.

She's highly passionate and receptive with students and makes lectures digestible, enjoyable, and funny, lol. Attendance isn't required but she's always made me highly motivated to attend class. I enjoyed every second of the class. I encourage everyone to take her class. Lovely professor.

WHAT AN AMAZING CLASS!! It is a lecture-heavy class, but she makes it so engaging that it is hard not to pay attention. ALSO, she gives out lecture notes that you fill in as she is going over the lecture. She is by far my favorite professor here at TCC. Even if biology hasn't been your strongest class, it definitely will be your best after Willis.

I used to hate science. However, once you meet Mrs. Willis, your life will forever be changed. She cares about her job, students, and their academic well-being. She was extremely helpful, worked with me throughout the semester, and in a class I expected to get a B or C in I am on track to getting an A. She makes this class so MUCH fun! Take her!:)
