Dr. Lo is an exccellent professor. She keeps the topic interesting by introducing how the subject matter relates to real life and she wants to see students succeeed. You do have to study for the class to get a good grade, but it is possible to do well. I'd recommend her to anyone, and I'd take another class with her if I could.

I am having an A prior to the final exam and this is my favorite class this semester!! However, if you want an easy A or B, don't ever take her because you may just fail badly. The bottom line is memorization gets you no points in her class. If you are willing to work hard and learn, then take her!!!

I found it an easy class to understand. Although I have taken this particular subject before, she still makes everything easier to understand. I only got a B in the class because I didn't give myself enough time to study compared to my other classes. If you read the book and go to class, you'll definately do fine.

I don't know why so many people said she was hard. I loved her, she is a very good and apt professor. If you ask for help, it will be given -- thats her deal. Professor Lo is a very nice economics professor. She uses powerpoints as her method of teaching and posts them on WebCT for students to have access to. This class was interesting because of all the economic issues going on recently. When taking her class, do the usual - go to class, sit closer to the front, LISTEN, and remain active in keeping up with the material. Dr. Lo is extremely nice & very knowledgeable about economics. Just remember when you read the negative comments from cry babies below that the ones who normally have all the negative stuff to say are the ones who never attended class and when they DID attend they talked the whole time. This lady was more than accommodating with her time and grading. She loves the subject and students' success was her priority

She keeps the subject manner interesting. You don't need the book for her class since she uses PowerPoint slides to lecture. She does have an accent but if you don't understand just ask her to write it down since she uses a projector screen also. As long as you write down what she writes down and study the slides you should get an A or at least a B

I had no trouble understanding this professor or her writing.Book use was minimal.All test material/formulas straight from slides.I made an A.Study notecards helped me more so in this class than in others.Go to class/study and you will do fine.Must know content and be able to apply.Easy class,but requires more than route memorization.

I don't know how anyone could not like Dr. Lo. She is very helpful and practically gives you the exam before the test (in the form of an old practice exam). 2 exams worth 35% each (very easy) 3 pop quizzes 7.5% each (lowest 1 dropped). and one mandatory quiz (15%). GO to class, study her powerpoints VERY EASY A. Oh, and sit in the front it helps.

Oh and as for the final, if you're comfortable with your grade, you don't have to take it. B/C it will automatically replace your lowest exam score regardless of what you score on it. I got about a 99 average since you can get above 100% on exams. Take Dr. Lo!

Attend Class. Take Notes. She has powerpoint slides for students to take notes from but if you attend lecture there's no need for all of that. Very approachable and helpful. Just as long as you take good notes and study them well in preparation for tests you should make an EASY A! I really enjoyed this class..she teaches well and oh sit up front!!!

Considering I'm a Health major, this class was easy to understand. I thought that the material Prof. Lo taught was important to understand our economy and why we are in a recession. The thing that caught my attention about this class was not only the talk about the dynamics of money in the economy, was the teachers accent forcing me to pay attention. Other than that the class was well laid out and easy for me to grasp every single concept

Professor Lo does a great job of slowly reasoning through all the topics in the course. She's young and has great energy. The class may be a bit lacking in challenge to ECO majors, but for everyone else it's adequate. The last economics class I took was in high school which was a joke and I hardly remember anything from it. I learned a lot from Professor Lo because she went over things clearly and now I'm more interested the stock market. She has an interesting sense of humor and ask why she moved to Texas. I took her for Financial Economics and consider her among my favorite professors of all time. She's simultaneously incredibly helpful and passionate about research. Honors: Dr. Lo is a great professor who really knows what she's talking about and very helpful at that too. Macro, honors class. She was very nice and helpfull. I like macro because of her. Of course you have to read and be prepared. I would recommend going to class because she explains very good. Her lectures are not boring and you learn. Also, memorized the formulas for quiz and tests because she doesn´t let you bring notes with formulas.

Honors Section. Recommend attending class. Reading the book helped a lot. My only problem was that some of the test questions where worded a little tricky. This class was definitely hard to sit through. It's because the information was boring to me, I suppose, but every time I thought I did well on a quiz or test, I did not. Every time I thought I did horrible, I did well. You have to print out the slides and take the notes she adds in and read the old tests. Quizzes were a little difficult though!

I took professor Lo in Spring 2010 Macroeconomics 2013. It was not difficult to understand her she would speak clear English. First things first... Accent. If you don't like em, don't take Professor Lo. Aside from that, this professor knows her stuff, breaks it down, and relates to current situations. This in mind, I never went to class. So, go to class, the notes she gives are straight on the test. Or struggle like I did with reading the book.

Interesting lectures with relevant real world examples.

I am a Chinese student in her honors eco class. This is a super easy class as long as you follow her on the class. She will remind you if there is a "pop" quiz next period. Her tests are easy. She hardly tests on the stuff she did not mentioned on the class. Her class is interesting and easy to understand. She is the best teacher I met so far.

Dr. Lo is a great professor, I took honors macroeconomics with her. The lectures are easy to follow along and she takes notes on a sheet of paper and projects it for you to take notes as well. She promotes in class discussion about the topics for everyone to participate. The tests are fair and there are pop quizzes as well.

I took Dr. Lo's Honors ECO 2013 class. For an economics class the class was not hard, however, you will not do well if you do not study. Two tests; no final. 4 in class quizzes and she drops one. 6 online homework assignments and she drops one. Plenty of extra credit and easy presentation. Only con is she tends to go off topic a lot.

Great professor she lectures through power points and in class examples. only 3 tests and she gives you last years exams to study from which makes it pretty easy. 3 pop quizzes and one homework assignment. I would definitely recommend her to any student looking learn economics without any additional hassle.

I'm currently taking her during the summer session and although there is a lot of information, she does an excellent job teaching the material for students to easily understand. Textbook is not required. Grade consist of 3 pop quiz (drop your lowest), QLP, 2 Midterm Exam, and Final Exam (cumulative). I highly recommend taking her if you can.

Professor Lo is a great teacher of the subject. She relates the subject to life in a way that's easy to understand. This is one of those classes where it's in your best interest to attend class, yeah pop quiz, but more because she teaches it so well, all you have to do is pay attention and you learn it. Her tests are 100% out of her lectures.

Professor Lo was a fair professor that was very clear about her expectations of the class. She does a few pop quizzes, but does not take attendance. So, it is smart to always be in class, but it is not mandatory.

Her lectures are easy to understand, textbook is optional although its really helpful. Exams are not so hard if you prepare very well.

She is a good professor however the thick accent hinders my ability to grasp some of the material. If you take this professor, be prepared to stay off your phones and random internet searches so that you can listen clearly to what she is trying to tell the class.

I took this class during the summer so it did deviate from the typical fall semester structure. She's great in class, and relies on lectures in terms of content so it is recommended to attend all the classes. If you have questions, she is willing to work with you. The exams are not hard if you study. I recommend taking her!

She is an excellent professor! would totally recommend her and take her again! it's not an easy class and her tests aren't easy either, but you will learn a lot. beside what she teaches is super interesting and useful, even as a non-business/eco,etc related major.

Professor Lo will give you examples rather than having to learn definitions. Her tests are some what easy if you do the practice exams. The exams are old exams and very similar to the actual exam you will take. After a chapter she might give a pop quiz.

Great Professor! Doesn't give much homework at all if any, I took her for the summer and there were few things that were graded so beware of your opportunities to raise your grade. She did provide a little extra credit but other than that the study guides were nearly identical to the exam, helping you out a lot. She really cares about her students!

Mr.s Lo gave good instructions and lectures about each chapter, which were PowerPoint slides, and gave a few pop quizzes. Although the pace was quick, she did happen to go through chapters at a steady pace. However, she did go into too much detail for certain facts or vocabulary, and often her exams held questions we didn't cover very well.

Great professor, really care for her students. I am taking her summer class. Going pretty well. The Are 3 exams. Final is comprehensive. The rest are straight from slides and lecture notes. I would take her again.

Dr. Lo is a very enthusiastic teacher, who knows her subject matter. Her accent makes it a little tough to follow her lectures, but she tries. She is a very expressive speaker and likes to make her class laugh.

I loved her personality! She was humorous, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. She gives you the choice of purchasing a book or not. You really don't need it unless you require extra explanation with studying. You are given the lectures on blackboard, and you take notes with them in class. There is a comprehensive final, which is a downfall for me.

Professor Lo definitely knows what she's talking about. Great professor but it isn't an easy A so in order to pass her class you WILL need to study. The class consists of two midterms and one cumulative final. Her practice exams help out a lot.

Professor Lo lets you know at the beginning of class to print out the lecture PowerPoints which helped a lot. She will tell you what to write down. It is important to know your formulas because calculation questions are a big part of the tests. She will tell you where to get the chapters at low cost if needed.

Not a difficult class but you definitely have to attend and pay attention, she'll drop little facts that will be on the test throughout class. She gives extra credit options and drops your lowest quiz grade, as long as you keep up with material you'll be fine!

Professor Lo is a very sweet and kind lecturer who cares about her students. Her accent, although not that strong, makes it hard to stay focused at times. She also tends to get off topic a lot. Gives out pop quizzes but also extra credit. Tests are lecture heavy, show up! Took her during summer w/o a textbook with no problem. Overall easy course.

Great class, great teacher, had 3 tests and 3 pop quizzes, easy to understand, gave powerpoints. Could buy textbook online but not really needed unless you want extra explanations.

Really good professor even if you aren't a business/accounting major. She does not use the book although, if you are having trouble with the lecture, it would come in handy. Gives out pop quizzes, so be ready. All-in-all I liked the class.

I highly recommend anyone to take her for intro to macro. She definitely knows what she's talking about. Although there are 3 random pop quizzes in between, she does drop the lowest quiz grade. I would go to class even though it's not mandatory because her lectures end up being on the exams too.

In all of her classes she goes over each chapter in powerpoint & you should bring each chapter printed out to take notes on. She gives 3 pop quizzes but she will tell you a class before that yall might have a pop quiz so just be ready for that & the lowest pop quiz gets dropped. The main thing you have to do is study for the exams.

Professor Lo is a very detailed/example heavy teacher. She gives examples so the students can relate the material to everyday life. Go to class, take notes, and you will get an A in the class, you do not even have to buy the textbook.

Great professor. I enjoyed her lectures, but be prepared for pop quizzes in class! Her tests can also be a little difficult but if you study you wont have that hard of a time. She also gives extra credit.

She covers pretty much everything you need to know in class, so go to class. She will emphasize the important things to study for an exam, and gives old exams w/ answers before an exam which is super similar! Pretty easy class.

Although Professor Lo doesn't speak English 100%, she is a great teacher and I would recommend her to anyone else needing this course. Easy A if you go to class. Textbook isn't required & she offers a cheaper way to pay by chapter if you need it. Drops the lowest pop quiz & she is very helpful for those with questions. Would definitely recommend!!
