Do not take this class if you are looking for a run of the mill text book course. You will have a lot of discussions, that will push you to see the world from a different set of eyes. Highly recommend Prof. Aarons

This guy is amazing! He tells it how it is and doesn't beat around the bush.Expect a lot of notes, and a lot of work, but his lectures are worth it. If you are a republican, don't try to argue with him. unless you want him to tear you a new one.

I had him a few semesters ago, he was totally awesome. Probably one of the best teachers I ever had. He is blunt, harsh, but friendly all at the same time. But if you are looking for an easy A, don't take him.

In order to succeed in this class you must be open minded. He presents US History from a whole different perspective that will leave you with your mouth open. If you are taking this class during the summer (like I did) expect to write every week and keep up with the reading. There are two major tests, one final paper and E/C is available. Good luck

keep an open mind when coming into his class and you'll be find, he tries to apply everyday news and life to the text book, so you really have to be intuned and present during class. overall he is a very fair and nice man, if you give an effort, your almost guaranteed an A. but he must see effort.

His course is hard and he will make you think a lot about the country you're living in. You will learn a lot and he will make you work a lot. On every video you watch, make sure to take good notes and don't fall asleep on them, because your essay will be based on those videos. If you write well, you will at least get a B. That's how I got a B!

His exams are very VERY difficult. He combines his lectures, notes, videos and book for the scantron exam. I learned a lot from him and it is very interesting because he tells the truth. Pass all the requirements and attend class. I failed the exams, I got a C instead of an F because he curves the grades.

Wonderful person and very well informed. I sat through the class without a moments boredom. He is straight forward, no b.s., if you can't handle the truth you can't handle his class. I had Aaron for Poli Sci 1 and rather enjoyed his class. He says hes not biased, but he's very much so liberal. This biased translates over to his tests which most of the time do not require you to read the textbook. He doesn't tell you what to study for, for the tests so it's a little frustrating at times but getting a good grade shouldn't be hard

Good professor! He sometimes gets off topic when he teaches, but always is interesting. He just assignes assigns a few papers the whole semester, and they are usually on a movie watched in class, or your own topic to choose. I highly recommend Aaron because hes a good teacher, but is very lenient.

I have taken all 3 of Professor Aaron's PoliSci classes. The class is easy: Watch (sometimes interesting) videos, write a summary, take exams which you will think are incredibly hard, but he grades on a major curve, so you end up doing pretty well, even if you did terrible. The classes have been insightful. I think he's a funny, intelligent guy.

Brutal tests based on both the lecture and the book, which you are primarily responsible for reading and studying on your own time. Very knowledgeable instructor plan on devoting several hours to study. Overall I enjoyed this class but it is only for the well disciplined in note taking and studying.

Dr. Melvin has a PhD in politics and his expertise is foreign policies. it is definetely excellent for someone who really want to learn about US foreign policies and mature audience who simple want to be educated. its true wen I attended the class a large number of people walked away on the first day. I got A in all my papers and B in the class.

If you really want to know about the world politics, you have to take him. Why we went to Vietnam? What was the WW2 all about? You will get true look at the history not what big superpowers want you to believe. I love this teacher. If you listen to him, you will get an A. I love Prof. Aaron, but I can completely understand how some do not appreciate his teaching methods or the content that he presents. His tests are predictable and the papers are cake. He is not an easy professor. He gives very little homework(which are fairly easy) but then he gives nearly impossible midterms and final. He lectures but nothing is from the book and then when it's time for exams all the questions come straight from the textbook. Be studious and you'll pass. He sometimes bumps your grade up if you do your hw.

I like professor Aaron, but I see why some might not. He's basically a Marxist, which is a neat take on things for a Poli-Sci major like me, but can be tough for others. Lots of documentaries, most of which are good. His critiques help with understanding of the subject and he has lots of notes. Midterms and final are graded on a curve, so not hard.

Took this class online and honestly it wasn't as hard as i thought it was going to be. Just like any online class or any class period you are responsible to keep up with the work. Every Friday we wold check in to a group chat and he would go over the chapters. You definitely have to work for your grade but it is very possible to pass this class.

I took his online class and every week it was a paper due on the material. HAVE to read! He does however, curve the scores, BUT that does't mean you can get away without studying. HIs tests are timed and as long as you've read some material, you will pass!

DONT be frightened by the amount of modules loaded the first week. You are not expected to complete it all. I learned about our democracy, its not about being anti-american, its about critically thinking, bringing light to racial controversies and white entitlement. My advice, remove core beliefs &complete the assignment, don't challenge him.

Personally I really enjoyed this professor . He was not a tough grader at all as long as your essays made sense and answered his prompts. When it came to his exams a lot of the questions where based on his lectures so I highly suggest you take notes . His final essay really makes or breaks your grade so really research your stuff before you submit

The material in Professor Aarons Political Science course showed me what I was taught regarding religion, slavery, and the founding of our nation had only been surface level.
