Dr. Murphy is the best! I am taking next semester class with him. A very awesome teacher. He is so smart and has a lot of knowledge and experience to share.

Very easy class, would be hard to fail this class as long as you show up and participate in group discussions. Current events were suppose to be looked up for each class and presented about It for less than a minute, great professor, wants you to succeed.

Dr. Murphy is a great teacher who really cares about his students. If you attend his class and participate, you should have no problem passing the course. His lectures are engaging and very informative. He's an authority in Public Relations, and his expertise is something you can not get just from reading the textbook. Definitely take him.

The professor only gave the students one homework during the semester. No exam and quizzes. The students most of the time need to develop PR plan as a group for the campus printing services, and they required to present the idea as the final presentation.

Dr. Murphy is a great professor. His course emphasizes on presentations. Although at first that sucked, it had helped me improve in that area. His class consists of 2 exams, 1 final presentation, and 1 research paper (which he gives at the beginning of the semester and its due the last week, so you got the whole semester to do it!!)

This was my second semester with this professor, and it has been a blessing to have him in my life; not just as a professor but as a mentor. This class was amazing because we had an opportunity to do a real PR Plan and learned a lot as we went! Dr. Murphy will go out of his way to make sure that we aren't too stressed and are doing well. He will offer his help and advice not only for this classes, but other classes as well so if you need any help please make sure to ask.

I would take his class again. Go to every class and participate. He is clear about all the guidelines. His class is very interactive, so you can learn how to communicate with others. He emailed all of his slides ahead of time. Stuck to the schedule. The more you participate you more you will get out of the class.

Dr. Murphy is a very humorous and knowledable man. All you're getting graded is by participation, two exams, a presentation, and a paper. Each class, there will be presentations to prepare you for your individual presentation. For the paper, you have the whole semester to work on it. He gives good feedback and cares for your success!

Hes a great teacher. Very simple class, he lays out everything you need to do and if you do those simple things you will get an A. Make sure you go to every class as attendance is graded.

Dr. Murphy is into class participation, but as a communications class there are a lot of group exercises. You will get asked for input during class. A 1 min current event presentation is expected of you every week to get you to learn the subject and practice your speaking. Research paper and main speech have the greatest weight on your grade.

In this class we did not have any homework only 2 papers, one due at midterms and one at finals. The true key to success for this class is to read the syllabus, everything you need to know is in there.

This semester I was always so excited to attend this class. Professor Murphy makes this class fun and enjoyable. If you are shy about speaking in front of a crowd, he helps you to break out of your shell. There is no textbook required with no homework, only a paper and presentation due by finals.

Awesome guy. Get to practice public speaking a lot which you dont get to do in other classes. Teaches you with real life experience instead of staring at textbooks or powerpoints all day. We created a marketing plan for a real client that we completed over the course of the semester. Experience to put on resumes and talk about in interviews.

Dr. Murphy is unlike any professor. If youre looking for real world experience to put on your resume then this is for you. His class isnt easy but its fun if youre ambitious. If you have your own business then you should take this class. I made a 24 page PR plan because of this class, and I now have posters, post cards, and biz cards.

So many great things about Dr. Murphy. There are weekly current events, assignments, a midterm and a final test. A final paper as well that you can get help from him from the beginning. The class was like a seminar, so about a half hour to hour lecture with presentation of a current business problem that you experienced or saw and group work to find a solution for it every class.

Highly recommend Professor Murphy, he is an awesome teacher. Base on my personal experience my class was awesome, teacher created a great vibe and try to have everyone participate. We have daily current event, which technically is finding a news article that relates to the chapter and summarize it. Other than that no midterm final exam is 3 slide.

The professor is 10/10 and gives professional advice. He is chill and gives out a lot of work but it is not hard. I have taken him twice throughout my time at Nova and will be looking to take him again.

He is a professor who truly cares about his students and pushes you to get out your comfort zone. We work on our public speaking skills with our current events, and he provides very good feedback. He truly gives you real life advice to be succesful in business in rea and he speaks from experience.

Wants you to succeed, but get your work done early. He will work with you, but come to him early and follow up with him. If you wait till the last couple of weeks, you are out of luck. It's also vital to speak early and often in order to improve your skills. He is an excellent public speaker and will enhance your skillset; ask for suggestions.

Dr. Murphy sets the class up for you NOT to fail, but there has to be effort on your part as well. For the final you will have to write a 10-page business plan and begin early you wait till the last minute, there will be a heavy price to pay. This applies to assignments as well. If you need help, just ask and he will work with you.

Professor Murphy's BUS100 class is a mixed bag. He genuinely cares and pushes you, but can also be arrogant. Engage with the course, use resources like unstuck ai, and you'll get a lot out of it.
