He wants everyone to get an A, passes sample test questions almost every class period and gives a study guide for the exams. Very easy and helpful, wants you to come talk to him if you ever have any struggles in the course.

He is the man. The guy is a great teacher. Shows intersting videos. He cares about the students progress in the course. Tests are more than reasonable. Get points for showing up. Better take him while you have the chance otherwise you may miss out.

Awesome teacher! Very helpful and teaches well. He's a funny guy and always willing to assist his students in any way to help them succeed in his class. We need more teachers like this who actually care about their students' grades. Take him for sure!!!!

Awesome teacher. I've learned so much and it's hard to get bored in the class because he covers so much in one day, but explains everything very well. TAKE HIM CMU should hire the man and stop hiring crappy teachers.

There's no way you can fail this class as long as you show up. He gives out quizzes and handouts with all the information thats on the test, and then gives you all the answers. There's a lot of easy points. Really nice professor too, but he picks on you alot if he knows your name.

Mensah is very attentive and straight forward. No trick questions on exams. He appreciates it if you show up to class and he takes attendance. Overall he is a great professor. Plus, he has a sense of humor!

This guy is so cool! The class is so easy, it's almost impossible to fail if you actually show up. Yet, you learn so much, and take away so much from him and from the class. I would recommend taking his classes to anyone. He cares so much about helping his students, and wants them to achieve.

if you show up to his class everyday you will get a very good grade. mensah is one of the best sociology professors at CMU. he's very interested in the subject and he knows what he's talking about. the book is interesting to ready but not a requirement. the papers are graded fairly easy. i would absolutely recommend taking any class with mensah

absolutely amazing!! he made me want to change my major enitrely to criminology, just so i could have him as a professor again! everything is graded VERY easily, i ended up with over 100% in his class. you just need to show up to class, and have a pretty much gaurenteed A.

Mensah is a very nice professor. I would highly recommend taking a class from him. He tries to cram too much information on each test though. Besides that, everything else is very easy and he gives you lots of opportunities to get a good grade.

You have to go to class but it will raise your grade he wants everyone to get an A, exams are worded weird and kind of hard but you can still get an A. No need for the textbook. All exams are multiple choice

Great Professor! You have to go to class though to get all the information, but he never keeps you the whole class period. You have to really study for the tests, but all the other assignments are easy! I recommend that you take SOC 222 with him!

Brilliant. Dr. Adinkrah is so clear and helpful, you're guaranteed to do well as long as you try. He offers help with no hesitation and cares about how you do in the class. He's genius, and I wish he taught more upper lever SOC classes. I actually look forward to coming to class.

THis Professor makes it a point to let you know at the last day of class that you are still his students and if you need anything to come to his office. Once a student of his, always a student. He's the BEST!

Honestly, Mensah is the best professor I have ever had. I will take him as many times I can..I adore him! He really cares about what he is doing and is willing to help any student out! Mensah was a fantastic professor! He was so passionate about criminology, that it make he lectures more interesting. Tests were pretty straight forward so the class overall was very stress free. I highly recommend him if you need a sociology credit or if you're a CJ major.

Mensah is one of the best professors I've ever had. I actually looked foward to going to his class. (Both 222 & 324) If you pay attention and study for a few hours before exams you are good. Just make sure to keep the hand-outs. Highly RECOMENDED!

Mensah was a great teacher. Always kept the class interesting and was very good at teaching his material. Definitely recommend him for anyone considering Criminal Justice Major.

There is a grade for attendance, so just make sure you show up. The tests are all multiple choice, so just make sure you study a bit.

I had Mensah for criminology and Intro to CJ. He was a great instructor. Not super clear during lectures and got distracted by ideas a lot. After a while you will get used to his lecture style. Very helpful man, if your willing to do a little work and show up this should be an easy class. The trip to the St. Louis MI Prison is a great experiance!

Mensah is an incredibly nice guy and also very informative. The trip to the St. Louis prison was very helpful and really got you involved with the class. If you take your time and do the work, you shouldn't get lower than a B+ or so. The exams are pretty easy except the 2nd one. Perfect attendance gives you extra credit which bumped me up to an A.

Mensah is the best prof ever. He's also my advisor and I find him very helpful and interesting. He knows a lot about his subject and his classes are super easy while also learning the material. I'm actually lost without him right now while hes on sabbatical. Take him for any class you can.

Great teacher, for once I actually like going to class. He is very interesting to listen to, shows good videos in class to watch that aren't boring what so ever. He also gives a study guide that list everything you need to know. Go to class, take good notes and you will do abesolutly fine in the class.

Probably the best professor in the criminal justice department at cmu. His tests come directly from his lectures, which are laid out with everything you need to know, and he even tells you things that are going to be questions on the exams. VERY lenient grader and really knows his criminology.

Easy class, kind of funny professor. His lecture notes are kind of all over the place. However, his study guides are exactly the exam. Class is mandatory, very strict attendance policy. But, he was an awesome professor. I'd take him again!

Excellent professor. If you listen close to him you'll catch some of his "sayings" and they are hilarious. Overall, he makes the class great. You have to actively attempt to fail his class.

Attendance is mandatory, there is a sign in sheet everyday. For both classes the book was used rarely but used for some take home tests. Sharing the book with someone in the class would probably be a good idea. His study guides are super useful.

Mensah is a great guy. He is funny and is easy to understand. He is also really helpful and cares about your grade. He does assign little homework assignments making the class worth so many points. If you go to every class you will automatically get a B in the class. If you already have a B you will get an A. Easy and enjoyable class.

Adinkrah was a very good professor. If you go to class it is impossible for you to fail. Lots of points given for in class assignments, a few take home quizzes, and exams with study guides. If you attend every class your grade goes up by half a grade, ex) an A- would go to an A

Loved his class! Make sure you're at every class, you get between 10-30 points just for showing up and doing in class quizzes (he doesn't collect them just for you to learn). 4 exams total, thorough study guide for all of them, our last exam had a 90% average. I learned so much, because attendance in mandatory. Great guy.

This teacher uses repetitive teaching methods along with mandatory attendance to ingrain certain concepts and definitions into the students long term memory. The instructor is personable, knowledgeable and willing to take extra time to help any student who wants or needs clarification. the class is easy if you complete all assignments and show up.

What a fun class. I had two different classes with Dr. Adinkrah and they both covered the exact same material. So that's a positive if you want a couple A's, and a negative if you value learning new information. Go to class, he will penalize you immensely for missing several classes. Jot down everything he writes. Share a book, it's not used much.

Favorite teacher of all time. A little tough to understand sometimes but youll get used to his accent. Study guides are clear cut and as long as you do them and make flash cards chances are youll get 100 on the exams. Attend class and youll be just fine.

Mensah is actually a really grear professor. At first it is annoying that you HAVE to go to class or face dropping your grade but in the end I've realized it has made me remember everything. He shows documentaries and makes class enjoyable. It can be difficult at times (random test questions)but overall very great professor. Remember TAKE NOTES!

I would honestly LOVE to take his classes again. I took both criminology and juvenile delinquency at the same time and it was a breeze. I enjoyed every single class period and was actually upset when I had to miss class. We visited the prison and had a blast doing that, he is one of my favorite professors I've had at CMU.

Mensah is a great professor! Loved his criminology class, lectures easy and interesting to follow. He gives a lot of homework, but it is pretty easy. Lectures are sometimes confusing because he is all over the place with his thoughts, but as long as you take notes, show up, and do the work its an easy A!

he takes attendance everyday so if you miss often he will fail you. but it is a very easy class, he gives you at least 10-20 points each class for just showing up, he also cares a lot about what he is teaching and you are able to tell through his lectures. the exams are long but as long as you go to class you will get an A on them. take this class

Dr. Adinkrah is great! Very knowledgeable and his lectures are solid and informative. His teaching style can be a bit all over the place. There are plenty of in class films to watch, and he will give pop quizzes so make sure to be there. If you skip, not only do you loose participation points but, youre most likely going to miss a 20+ pt quiz.

Go to every class and take notes, and you'll be fine. The material is easy, but there is a lot covered in class that can't be found elsewhere if you miss. Also a lot of videos and points just for being there. Mensah is a great prof and prepares you really well for exams too.

Offers TONS of points just for going to class every day (so don't miss). But, there's 1000+ points total for this class, so missing a few won't hurt you too much, except a lot of info from lecture can't be found elsewhere. His lectures are filled with info and are very interesting. A lot of material is similar to his juvenile delinquency class.

What a wonderful professor. Gives you tons of points for just showing up and his exams are pretty easy. Also always gives take home quizzes which are easy and up your grade a lot. I'm gonna miss him.

This man is a real gem, I learned so much in his class! he's super sweet and has respectable rules for class. literally just show up to class and get all the points he gives out. Easy grader and talks about Clifford Boggess in almost every class but overall his Classes are really enjoyable and insightful! Highly suggest!

He is absolutely great. He is experienced and knows what he is talking about. You definitely don't want to just skip without talking with him first because you will lose points on in class quizzes. Notes are a must. Everything he lectures you should write down because most of it will be on the exam. Especially take notes on Clifford Boggess.

I love Mensah. I've taken two classes with him for the Soc:CJ major and I enjoyed it so much. I wish he taught more classes. He's funny, easy to work with, and has empathy for his students. I wish I could take more of his classes.

Well. this semester was not like any other since we did half online half in class. He really did try to make it as easy for us as possible! I appreciated how quickly he would respond back to my emails! He is a great prof and I truly learned a lot.

I love Adinkrah! He makes learning tough concepts easy and enjoyable. He cares about his students and is quick to respond to emails. While his tests are easy, they are long and ask overly specific questions (eg. what year was ...). My only issue is that he will not reopen ANY quiz, so make sure you have a working computer with reliable internet.

I LOVE THIS MAN. Took 2 classes with him and I wish I could've taken more. He's so funny, understanding, and doesn't make you read textbooks! Assignments are few and easy, and also gives you all the info before the exam. Just make sure you go to class often, otherwise you'll miss important things. I skipped sometimes tho lol

Professor Mensah is absolutely one of the better professors I have had in my long college career. Although he can be repetitive at times when explaining certain things it is a very welcoming learning environment. Just be at the lectures and take good notes and you'll do A okay in this class

Professor Adinkrah was one of my favorite profs that I have taken at CMU so far. His class is extremely easy, and as long as you show up to class and take notes, you will pass. There are a lot of videos for this course, but they were all interesting to watch. I would highly recommend taking this prof for this class.

Dr. Adinkrah is well-educated, easily accessible outside of class, and very relaxed. He's super flexible with deadlines and scheduling, and always reminds students about upcoming assignments. I can't wait to have him again next year.

In Juvenile Delinquency I got an A- because I didn't study enough for the second exam but the class was fun and not overly complicated. I love Mensah and I am trying to take him for a third time. Criminology is a lot like Juvenile Delinquency and I'm confident I'll get an A this time. I don't feel stressed with this class and Mensah is a sweet guy.

Gives really good lectures, switched my course to online after the first week, and I was still able to follow along over Webex. The course was based on attendance and weekly assignments mostly. If you miss an assignment there, he will more than likely not let you submit late.

SOC 100 was a very chill class and really easy in my opinion. He doesn't give many assignments but when he does they're very easy and sometimes interesting. My only complaint is the random questions he would put on exams that were not talked about in class at all (not too many), but overall I would recommend taking him.

Everything in this class is really easy. Just make sure you attend class and know what's going on.
