I took Professor Morassi during the summer for six weeks and I loved her class. She now uses Powerpoint slides, she answers all of my emails, she explains clearly and is extremely funny. Take her you won't be disappointed

Prof Morassi was great! She explains everything in detail and is very knowledgeable about the subject. She relates to us and uses terminology that is easy to understand. She's very fun and I would recommend her to anyone who loves psychology. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you should go. She only gives tests and the final so pay attention!!

One of the funniest professors ive had! 3 exams, no final or midterm. Notes are online. Reviews for exams are exactly what is on the exams. She always wears heels to class; she is very young. She talks like she is still in college, which helps her relate better with students. She is very good looking, so try not to get distracted. I recommend her.

She made the class so much fun and easy to understand! She is really cool and down to earth. Our exam reviews were straight off the exams and we had 3 tests, but don't miss any of them because the make up is a lot harder (or so I heard). No extra credit offered, but it's not needed at all. I LOVE HER!! You won't regret taking her. She talks like a college student and simplifies everything for you. All her notes are uploaded online so you don't need the book or even need to go to class but I do anyway because she's so enthusiastic that it's easy to pay attention. Great professor, if you are at least decent with psychology, you should be fine. However, has three tests only and no other grade. Luckily, if you read the typed lectures, the tests come to you as common sense. Gives study guides sometimes. No textbook needed, lectures are all you need. Post lectures online. Gives extra credit and curves her tests.

Professor Morassi is amazing!!!!!!!!!! She makes the class interesting with her really funny and quirky personality. You don't have to attend class since she doesn't take attendance and post the notes on blackboard but she's so cool I enjoy going! This class only has 3 exams and thats all you are graded on. I decided to take it because I had so many classes already that required so much of me. I do not regret it, and you do have to study a lot for the tests but she is very nice and cares about our grades. It was not difficult but interesting to take and it even led me to change majors.

Mrs. Morassi is the BEST PROFESSOR I had in FIU, this was my first semester, so I was a little scare, but her class was amazing and very clear. Only ONE FINAL EXAMEN, and QUIZ online every friday (14 quizzes) + Group Presentation or Individual Assignment. Her quizzes are the most from her Power Point and take note in class. EASY CLASS

She is one of the best professors I have had. She is the class that I look forward to on my rough days. She is able to make learning a fun and easy process while also able to relate to the topics and she gave us no exams. Beautiful human being! Would 100% take again for ANY class.

Professor Morassi made the semester fly! online quizzes every other week which answers are in the powerpoints she gives us in class also available online. Final was easy, pretty much diagnosing patients to their according disorder. she is so funny and interactive! highly recommend her!!!

Professor Morassi is an outstanding professor. She makes the material, which is not easy, clear and enjoyable. And she is HILARIOUS. By far my favorite course ever. Most importantly, you WILL LEARN. If youre a Psychology Major you should take this course with Morassi.

Professor Morassi is probably one of the best professors I have ever had at FIU. She makes the classes fun and open to discussions while also keeping a very open mind. She keeps her lectures fun and the workload is not incredibly intense. There's a paper after each chapter (about 2 pages) and a quiz. Take good notes and it'll be easy to pass

Professor Morassi is an amazing person. Her personality is super funny and easy to get along with. However, she can be very strict with the way she does things. Also, she takes forever to reply to emails and sometimes doesnt even. Her lectures are interesting. The paper required for the class has way too much of an effect on your final grade.

I have taken Morassi for multiple classes throughout my undergrad career, both in person and online. I would absolutely take her again and highly recommend her. She makes her classes fun and interesting and forces you to engage with the subject. If you want to get an A in her class do the work (it's not too much). Show up to class and participate.

You will definitely learn and get a class that is enjoyable from down to earth professor. Show up, listen, and don't be afraid to ask questions, she can give the best feedback. Workload is really not too bad, consisted of weekly assignments, quizzes and discussions, 1 paper and 1 group project. She also offered some extra credit. Take her you won't regret it!!

She truly is a great teacher, she's funny and really chill but she's not an easy A class, you have to put in work. Attendance is mandatory in her class but honestly you need to go to lecture to understand the material. No homework, a quiz after every chapter and then a paper, a project and a cummulitave final (thats why you need lecture).

Honestly surprised by all these bad reviews. I took her for Career Development and she's cool and gave me such great advice to do with my life cause I was having an epiphany. But do your work, show effort,and you'll see that your gonna pass.

This prof and class was absolutely amazing! Very easy work, 3 assignments every week based off a new chapter. If you are interested in learning about mental illness, take this class with her! Even with remote learning she did a great job in her lectures and was clear on every assignment.

This course was my favorite this semester. Prof. Morassi does an excellent job at engaging students and going over the different disorders. It is a very heavy class but if you are dedicated you will do great. She is SUPER funny and knows a lot about the field. This class is a must for any student wanting to go into the clinical field.

TAKE HER! Not sure why people hate on her, if you're actually interested in psych or learning, she will be a breeze. She is extremely nice and gives amazing lectures with clear examples. I took professor Morassi for 4 classes. She is an EXCELLENT professor, by far my favorite at FIU. However, if you are looking to get an easy A this class is not for you (she will make you work hard for your grade). She is VERY blunt/straightforward; does not sugarcoat anything. She is very clear about what she expects from the beginning.

I don't know why so many people gave her a hard time in my class. Quizzes are open book, she had a review for the final and it was easy (literally just stating what PD you saw and why). She provides pics of text and PowerPoints so you don't really need to buy the books. She does require a lot of writing (a total of 400 words for posts and 1 paper).

She was so awesome back in college! The class can be tough as far as material but improvement and effort matter which are super important because I have a learning disability.

BEST professor! Anyone who says otherwise is lazy. The class is straight forward with a weekly discussion, quiz & (sometimes) assignment. Final exam with case studies & term paper on an assigned PD. Everything you'll need is in her powerpoints. This class is SO interesting if you take the time to learn, & she's ALWAYS willing to work with you! :)

People are giving her low ratings because they don't like her personality. I don't really care for that, I just care for the class material. 1 discussion and 1 quiz due every week that are super easy and are online. 1 paper during the middle of the semester and 1 final exam in person. She's a very blunt person, but overall she's not that terrible.

This professor is amazing, she goes into detail about the disorders and uses plenty of examples so everyone can understand. I used the book but you can find it as a PDF. The hard part is the few assignments and quizzes then having mid-term and the final. It's like you must get an A in everything to pass. It's a lot of information being given.

Easy class if you put in the work! Very clear from the start what her expectations are! Covers a big portion of mental disorders (provides PPTs)in such a clear/interactive way & encourages discussion in class. HWs -quizzes/vignettes on disorder you are reviewing in class which are easy. Finals were easy if you study the disorders and pay attention

Great Class! It was her 1st time teaching it, we enjoyed it. Open discussion and shared perspectives in class. In-class assignments/exams are doable if you go over what she reviewed in class both the book/her info. Class touches on many topics and OLD/NEW perspectives which she navigated carefully and opened the class discussion. Be open-minded!

Please do not be discouraged about her ratings. This professor is very well credited and knowledgeable. She covers sensitive topics so I understand it can be overwhelming for people but this is psychology!! Professor is respectful with her lectures and will tell you things straight up. Take her ASAP she is hilarious and lectures are entertaining.

Although attendance isnt mandatory and counts as extra credit, most classes she does an in-class assignment. you could only make up the assignment if it wasnt a group project. she was not too harsh of a grader but does let you know what she expects of your work.

She is a really funny professor but she is really biased about her lectures. her quizzes are really hard to understand , you have to decipher them. no final just a long project at the end, but everyone enjoyed doing it for the most part it was really interesting

You either love her or hate her, and I happened to love her. To pass her quizzes I recommend that before attending transfer her PowerPoint into a google doc and then focus on writing notes specifically on the words coming out of her mouth.

Professor Morassi is amazing. I've taken her for 4 classes and look forward to them every time. She is a strict grader but the courseload is not very difficult. If you have a desire to learn psychology, you'll be fine.

I took her for both Psychopathology & Psychotherapy. She's super passionate about what she teaches and knows her stuff. Although the book is "required for the class," if you go to class and take good notes you don't really need it. It's definitely not a free A but I highly encourage you to take her if you're passionate about psychology

It was a really easy class if you listened to the lectures. The handwritten journals got increasingly longer each week but there was enough time to complete them. To do well on the group final paper, do your part and work well with your group. To do well on quizzes listen and take notes on the lecture. Overall easy A.

LOVED this professor. Super lenient. A bunch of small in class assignments but not hard to access material outside of class if you have a group chat. Four big projects that are worth a lot of points, but very easy if you really read the instructions. Would definitely take again.

came off strict at first but as long as you keep up with your work you'll be fine. lessons are easy to understand since she works in the field and knows how to connect the lesson to real life. tests are based off what she says in class rather than what the book says, attendance isn't mandatory though. not nearly as bad as everyone described her lol

A super cool lady who shows she cares. We had some projects/essays but they weren't super hard and also didn't have detailed instructions, you kind of had to make up what you wanted to do but she wasn't super strict on that. Attendance isn't mandatory but sometimes there are some in-class assignments that she only lets you complete if you show up.

She teaches really good but she is strict with assignments and grading. If you do the work you won't have any problems.

Shes awesome. She keeps it real in terms of the reality of majoring in psych and isnt one to give false hope. She is super laid back in this class and shows a genuine interest in the students making the best that they can with this degree. Also, shes HILARIOUS. Seriously. Loved having her.

Did journals every week, not bad AT ALL. Interesting material and she's very engaging and gets people involved in class. She shows a genuine interest in health + illness (this class) and really appreciates class participation/involvement. She's so funny and genuine. She isn't one to take excuses though (for missed work/class). Definitely recommend

Best professor at FIU. If your goal is to be a therpapist take her. She's strict and no BS so if you like a more sweet professor maybe not but her lectures are so interesting and entertaining. I've taken her for every class I possibly could and no complaints. Just study a lot and go to class you'll be fine.

She is definitely a personality, but honest and genuine. Her lectures are funny and full of engaging anecdotes. Her assignments lack detailed instructions, but are always easy to figure out, if you go to the lectures, you'll pass. Trust, it is worth the experience to take one of her classes. I have taken 4 now, and each one has been enjoyable.

She's very passionate about psychology. I looked forward to her lectures because she doesn't just read off slides, she brings her own knowledge and personal experiences into what she's teaching. She's funny and engages with students. Only homework we got were weekly journals and a final group project. Take her and ignore the negative reviews.

Homework consisted of weekly journals and a quiz at the end of each chapter, no Honorlock. Quizzes are based on the lecture, so try not to miss it, as she will not care if you are absent. Our final was a group project. She doesn't BS or baby you, and is overall very straightforward with her expectations in the class.
