Good Prof but she's boring. Students am right?

she's not that bad. she's a good teacher but the course is not easy.

She is a very good prof. She teaches with enough examples that are easy to comprehend. Just make sure you make it to every class, because although she teaches from the text you'll learn more by attending and get better marks on the tests.

Pay attention, take good notes. she's fair! her notes are excellent and with the book's help you'll be sure to get a fantastic mark. you have to attend each class; but if you happen to miss, she's keeps up to date with all her classes, so you can interchange them

She is a very helpful, informative and an entertaining teacher. She knows her economics inside out. Nice lady, good notes...study them and read the book. U'll do fine in her class. :)

After completing ECN 104, i didn't even want to look at ECN 204. I hated economics. But, being in Mercy's class for ECN 204, it was not that bad. She explained everything really well and her exams were straight forward. If you did the readings and studied, you did well.

An absolute genius. She is one of the nicest profs, and will make economics easy and interesting. Take whatever courses she is teaching. You'll do fine in them.

Easy upper liberal course at rye. Lectures are always useless, but Anselm has a passion to teach, she knows the material well. So make sure u go to lectures once in a while. Anselm re-uses her questions, make sure u get a copy of the past tests. Exams are a bit tougher though. For group project, get good writers and presenters for the presention.

FIN701 itself is a boring but rather easy course. The textbook is kind of difficult to read. It assumes u know everything, but the prof does a good job on simplifying the concepts. So, make sure u go to class and copy down the notes. Tests r easy testbank questions, so GET past test papers. Assignment is easy, but having a good group would help!

great prof!! she knows the text inside and out and doesnt rely on it like some profs do, she gets right to the point and answers any questions u may have. Her tests are EASY!!! get the study guide and u'll do really well. her notes are great!! highly reccomended

Follow along with the text book. she does examples straight from the text, which are very helpful. Her midterm's easy, just study. exam written by someone else.

She might seem mean at first but she's actually a very fair marker and makes sure you do well. I will definately take another course with Professor Anselm again !

mercy was very good. definitely better than inglis, anderson, chung etc. she is the easiest of all finance professors. she summarizes the awful textbook and writes it all on the board as if u r in highschool. midterm and final were still hard tho. id take a class her again

Prof. Anselm is a great teacher! I had her for macro, and micro economics, and she is totally awesome! i love her teaching style, and she writes the finals which are great! I would love to have her as a teacher again!

For this particular class the prof. was very helpful and made the class easy to follow. There were 5 cases (not hard) and one presentation (she graded them very fair). Class average I think was high. Again, I think is this course itself that helps the teacher and students to do better.

BEST ECN TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD!!! I hated ecn with a passion until i took her class. in the end we liked it more than ever. she gave us practically the long answer questions that would be on the exam! she was very helpful. she explains clearly and relates everything to present day. she has her funny moments as well which is interesting LOL

Old school prof. Her tests/exams are fair and she gives very good lectures. She doesn't posts her notes on Blackboard so you gotta go to class.

She's SUCH a sweetheart! Her first impression doesn't seem that way but her lectures are so captivating, she knows what she's talking about, her tests are very fair, and ask her questions after class! You don't neccessarily HAVE to use her notes, but going to class and even just listening will definately make concepts CLEAR -- GREAT PROF!!!

She is definately old school teacher, but she actually explaines(unlike some other prof who just use publisher's power point) terms and concepts clearly with real life examples. It's not that shjust talking about 'India',if you're actually 'studying' the ecn, you'll know those were excellent examples to understand the concepts clearly.

This prof is quite good. Her examples are okay(mostly India, but they get the point across). Shes quite biased, if you know your economics from before - quite the socialist Economist. But its an easy class, and shes an easy marker - and the test is straight from the text. All in all a good experience. Ditto Ecn 210 (Intro Macro)

I've literally repeated this course for the 2nd time and Mercy made it so much easier to understand, she does a lot of problems on the board so you understand what to do with questions like those on the exams. She's better then most of the Fin300 professors at Ryerson.

Hard course! Mercy does a lot of problems which helps when you are studying on ur own later. But sit close because she writes small and speaks quietly. Make sure to do the tutorials and labs...they are an easy way to get good marks which is needed to make up for the hard tests/exams!

I have her for Economics of Markets this semester and she's a really good teacher. She's very interesting and always relates the lessons to something in real life or in her life. I love her personal stories. Hopefully she's not a hard marker!!!

Took the online course for ECN104, probably one of the easiest courses I've ever taken, and actually learned something.

She's a very sweet lady! Her midterms and exams are exactly what she teaches in class. No tricks, uses India as an example a lot..but it gets the point across!!!!

Very clear on what she wants for the tests, exam and group assignment. Also, she only teaches material that you need to know. Tests are pretty easy and more than fair. Group assignment is easy as well if you get a good group! Final exam a bit harder (midterm was all MC) while there is some short answer questions on the final, still easy though. A++

She is a very sweet teacher with soft voice, kind attitude. Explains stuff very clearly and easy with lots of writing on the board. Does not do much problem solving but gave quite few of such questions in midterm & finals but the course doesnt have much problems so its ok. Knows you text book which is easy,don't need to attend class. EASY A+

No point in attending her class, she reads off the book. However, her tests are VERY fair. If you study the text book getting a B+ shouldn't be a problem.If you study the study guide and test banks getting an A shouldn't be a problem....

cake course! assignments were easy, you can get answers from book. pretty straight forward on assignment and exam, no tricky questions! you do not need a study guide to get a B grade.

She is very old school and writes everything on the board which I don't mind but others might. She doesn't post much online. She explains everything very thoroughly and with good understanding. Gives good real life examples. Her tests are very easy and straight forward if you come to class or read the book. Overall enjoyed her class.

Great professor. Actually takes the time to teach harder chapters unlike other profs. Got an 87 on the midterm and easy 95 on lyryx. If you dont do lyryx like she tells you to and fail the course its your own fault, its worth 20%. Gives clear exam breakdown by chapter on what to expect for both exams. Great prof would take again.

Very good prof, uses relatable and good examples to better explain all concepts. I wish she was teaching more courses

She will tell you over and over, "All you have to do is practice the questions I do in class because those are the only concepts I test you on". And she is not lying! Literally all I did for the midterm was practice those Qs and got 90%. She also bellcurves final grades. And lyryx is an easy 20%.

Just study the test banks and your are gold!
