Great teacher and very helpful. Makes Econ enjoyable. Highly recommended.
Makes jokes in class, funny guy great professor.
Meric is the MAN!! Econ is fun and at times enjoyable with him. Grades fair and tries hard to prepare you for exams.
cool guy!
He is the best, okay paper, very linient grader, funny guy, very helpfull
Great teacher. He's young, he cares about students.
very bad accent but he teaches well....very clear
Great Teacher. Explains well. Grades fairly. If you have a question, he'll be sure to explain it to you. Highly recomended!
this guy is the BEST. explains material very clearly, answers all questions, makes students feel comfortable in class, exams are straight from the lecture, and makes jokes to lighten the mood. very nice guy. highly recommended!
This professor used to be very easy going on his classes but he recently change every thing and his classes are very tough now. It's not easy to get an A in his class any more
I had him 3 semesters ago. He is an excellent teacher. He is well educated, nice, and informing. I recomend him for Bus Majors. Pay attention in class, and do the reading. He has been one of my best business teachers in the past 2 years.
the cutest, the best, the coolest, reminds anyone of jude law?
Pretty easy but you have to do the homework to understand the stuff
I had Moshiri for econ 2, compared to him, Keskinel is god!The class is hard but you can still get A if you study enough.
he was excellent, totally understanding. i would recommend him to anyone, his class was great. most students loved him, because he cared.
I took Keskinel for econ. 1 and 2. He is like a real world professor. He tells you what you need to know and tests you on that. It is a lot of information, but when I transferred to UCLA, I was well prepared.
He is a really a nice guy in heading you to Econ classes. I learned much and interested in his lectures. But it's not easy to get a A if you dont study his lecture notes and text stuffs. his grading is fairy fair.Recommanded! :)
Relatively easy. Score high on first 2 test, they get progressively harder. Drops 1 Test. Take hm Section of the Test worth 50 points and grades VERY easy. Alot of group homework which helps balance out grade if you test poorly. Great Professor!
Keskinel is a great teacher, one of the best I ever had; not only does he care about his students, he communicates the material effectively; you learn a lot and you end up thinking "this is easy" because his lectures are interesting enough to re
coolest teacher in smc
If his student's could grade him as a teacher, he would get an A+, 99% (Nobody is perfect). He teaches the material well, helps students on his own time, his a great sense of humor. He does have an accent but it has no effect on his teaching.
One of the best teacher's I've ever had. I took him for the summer semester. We had 5 exams which included take home exam (40 points), on class multiple choice and short answer exam. Study your notes and the book and you'll be fine. Highly recomended.
If U study it is an easy "A."
easy A if u do homwork and study fromt time to time
before and after. he used to be easy!! but now he is tough and hard! he always said:" everybody took me, they think it's easy, we will see!" that is true eventhough i got good grade but still he is hard NOW, the test, u HAVE TO STUDY, HEis treaky!! beware folks..warn ya..he's change!!!
Don't let the accent scare you. He is a good guy and you will need to study for his class. Write notes and read the book. You should be fine. Work in groups on the take home part of the exam. Also before exam solve short answer questions & practice quiz.
great explanations, very clear
Heh. Pretty good class. accent isn't that bad, you will still be able to understand him. Lectures are based on Textbook and he also has a website that has powerpoint slides that i find VERY helpful, because he gives way too much informatoin with too little time. YOU MUST READ CHAPTERS!
Pretty cool teacher with a strong accent. It's kinda hard to understand him sometimes, but his tests are not too bad if u pay attention in class. 4 exams, and the lowest one will be dropped. If you get A's for the first 3 tests, you can skip the final. Take him!
4 exam including final(40%take-home(group working),60%in-class)drop one.1 paper(group working).he has a strong accent, but his notes is great, you don't even need to read the book. he is great and very fair
Professor is very helpful! Everything that is taught in class and in the book is on the exams. Do all the readings and class assignments and you will get an "A" in his class.
great teacher... explains everything thoroughly and makes it a breeze to pass the classroom. I passed with a B without ever studying or stressing over his work. This teacher is great, funny, and highly recommended by me.
Excellent Professor! Go to him during office hours and he will help you! Tests are from the notes and from the book. Lots of reading! Stay ontop of the work and you will get an "A" in his class.
Cool teacher he really enjoys econ and that makes it interesting to learn. Good teacher! He will help you with what to study for test and drops the lowest of 4. Do the work you'll pull an A and B no problem!
He used to be easy..but now..its HARD!..he explain like 2-3 chpts in one session, which was hetic.and he doesnt really explain them..just writting all the way for 3 hours..and his tests...killer...
Great Professor he is. He's quite an easy grader. If you're new to Econ, then he would be a good choice for you. He writes up really clear and good notes during lecture.
This guy is excellent. Some people may see his accent is problematic, but he writes everything on the board, and is always open to questions, making the class a smooth ride.
U know what? He is the best Eco teacher in the school. this class in very clear and he explanins very well all the time. his exam based form note and summary. He in very funny and nice guy. Take his class. He like all the students if u study well and show how U stry hard.
Great prof, but sometimes explanations are a little confusing due to his English. But he writes great notes on the board. Use the website- if you study the power-point and study guides there, you probably don't even need to do the reading to get an A. Go to class- he takes attendance at the end, and boosts your grade if you are always there.
Quite possibly the easiest and best econ teacher at SMC. He is funny, easygoing, and ALWAYS willing to answer extra questions. Makes sure EVERYONE understands material before continuing with the next lesson. He gives bonus questions on the tests that will boost your grade. TAKE HIS CLASS! This will be one teacher you won't regret meeting.
he is perfect take his class
he is the best teacher to understand economics. He is very easygoing and so understanding. Eventhough he had limited time due to this semester being summer semester, he still tried so hard to make sure everybody was clear about the subjects.
He's a great teacher. His tests are easier than I expected. A lot of questions are from the lecture notes which he writes nicely in class. It would be perfect for non-Econ majors. He gives 4 exams and drops the lowest score. So no need to take the final if you do well on the first 3 exams. Attendance helps you to boost up your grade. RECOMMENDED!!
KESKINEL IS MY LOVE he is the best funniest teacher very easy very good class i got an A without reading book or taking the final!!
the BEST ECON TEACHER! TAKE HIS CLASS!

Very good teacher!
THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!
good teacher... kinda hard to understand his accent lol.
He is an awesome teacher.Very helpful and kind.I got an A for both Econ1&2.He's one of the best professors at SMC.I highly recommend you to take him.If you get As for the first 3 exams, you dont have to take the final.
make good with him and you will get at least a C. his night class had over 60 students, so if your a fan of smaller classes choose another teacher. i didnt learn anything, but i got a C, which was good enough!
you have to be very stupid not to get an A in his class, just pay attention to what he says, go over his notes on his website. Go over the notes on his website that is the best way to study. 80% of the notes is on the test. And he is very easy grader.
Study Hard!!!! At least you'll get a B in his course. His exams are pretty tricky but if you study, you'll be fine.
Friendly and Fun. u'll like the class. but not an easy A. It was a very hard A for me. need to read and understand the book and come to classes. if u miss one of those, forget an A. I like his policy: take 4 xams, but drop the lowest one. exams are all multiple choice and very tight curve.
He is fantastic, funny and ezA.take him in short semester and enjoy the class.
the best teacher! easy and very very nice/friendly. take him!
Enjoys teaching. Highly recommend. Has a slight accent but got used to it.
I'm super fan of him! his lecture is so much clear and helpful, cuz he's the best teacher at SMC. you know what, this is my first time to rate one of my professors for this website. firstly, i'm so lazy, secondly, he is so hot! >.<

He has very charming eyes. Nice lectures and he is very funny. I got an A. Take him in short semester. He is so great!!!!!!!!!!
Very friendly and helpful teacher, I am not an econ major, but I learnt a lot from his lectures and eventually with a hard work got an A. Take him, study hard, and the A is yours.
this teacher rocks literally. in every sense of the word , and if you kiss his ass and you have a borderline grade the higher grade is garenteed. he is so easy in fact that i am going to take him for econ 2 in the fall. you dont even need to read the book everything is on the web site and the lectures take this teacher I swear he is a o kay.
Best professor I've ever met @ smc. lectures are so wonderful which made me to be able to get 98% overall before the final without looking at "single page" of the stupid text book. fun class with best professor. I'm taking econ 2 with him again in a fall. As long as you concentrate in lecture and spend ur time before test, it would easy A class.
Great teacher! Even when the textbook confuses you, he'll break economics down in real word terms. Excellent! One of the best choices you can make for the subject of economics!
He is great. Your communication with him during lecture is key for your success in this class. Learn the concepts in class. He is easy if you pay attention in class. I recommend him highly. Econ 1 is not hard and he makes it really interesting and easy not only to understand but also to apply. Easy to pass.
Best professor filled with a humor and crystal clear lecture.
lectures are never boring but tests are tricky and difficult. he also gives very little extra credits.

hahaha sooo funny an easy he is ah-mazing!
He is a good professor. His lectures were so understandable and funny, but his exams were a little difficult for me to get A. His exams are based on his lectures and have 50 questions; therefore, if you are good at reading fast and focus on his lectures, you'll be fine. Not Difficult at All to Get A.
Econ is a hard subject, but this teacher knows how to break it down into simple real world terms. I've always had trouble with econ but this is one subject I managed to understand thanks to his teaching. If you arent an econ major, take him! he makes it so easy to understand. very nice prof.
i must admit that his exam is not as easy as i expected. if you read the notes he posts online before the exam, you should have no problem getting an A at all!!! plus, he drops the lowest grade. he gives a lot of real life examples which make the concepts easy to understand. take him!!!
Took him during winter. Funny, great professor. Doesn't assign much homework. Lectures, homeworks and tests are very straight forward. If you review your notes and know your stuff, the A is definitely yours. He even curves a little.
Great professor, really knows what he is talking about. If you are a bussiness or econ major you should really take his class. Great lectures, he explains everything clearly. You really have to study for the tests and go to the lectures to get an A in the class.
wow by far the best prof i have taken at SMC and WLA college. He is great, helpful in person and by email. I would take him for every business class if he offered, i recomend him to everyone. His teaching is clear and consis, and has great sense of humor. Makes economics 1 and 2 seem like a breeze and easy to understand. Just make sure you attend.
Prof. Keskinel is SMC's best professor!!!. Economics is not an easy subject but he'll try his best in order to break it down for you and try to knock some sense into you. The entire grade is based on four exams (final included), two projects, and one paper. He's funny, and he really cares about his students!
Prof Keskinel knows his stuff and is the nicest, funniest and coolest prof in SMC. Lectures are never boring and gives real life examples. very helpful after class and by e-mail. Tests aren't that hard, study the book carefuly and lecture notes online and you'll be fine. Get motivated, study hard and you can get an A or B, good luck.
Excellent professor! He's smart, clear in his lectures, and funny. Overall, the class is interesting and time goes by so fast. Never liked econ, but Prof. Meric had me engaged the entire time! Exams are pretty tough, but if you study hard and keep up on the reading then you'll do fine. I highly recommend those to are majoring in Econ!
Prof Keskinel is the best in smc. Very enjoyable, and funny. study very well, read lecture notes online, his book and you'll be fine. DON'T TRY TO MEMORIZE, as his test questions involve critical thinking and you have to know your stuff. Not that hard though. Final exam wasnt over the top as well. highly rec for those majoring in econ and business.
Great class, easy A. He's a great lecturer, and always gives relevant examples. I'll take him again. Has easy HW assignments and extra credit.
he is a really nice guy that gives full credit assignment and extra credit that can dramatically change your grade in a good way. However you still have to work and study a little...like everything, but let's say that in econ he is without a doubt an easy A.
Ive never had such a great and helpful teacher in my life. Prof. Keskinel is one of the best teachers there are at smc, and if you're a business/econ major I highly suggest you take this class. It's fun to come to class.. because all he does is crack jokes with his students while teaching the material.. this makes his class fun to attend. He's hot
Prof Keskinel is nice but very tricky in exams. The tests are hard but if you study very hard you can get a B or an A. He curves which makes it more than possible to get a good grade. Doesn't give much HW, just study very well, and READ HIS TEST QUESTIONS CAREFULLY AND DON'T MEMORIZE! His wording is tough but if you know your stuff, you're set
Nice prof, but the class is very hard! DON'T TAKE IN SHORT SEM, WINTER/SUMMER B/c HIS GRADING SYSTEM AND TESTS ARE KILLER!90% on 4 tests drop 1 in 6 wks + 10% of HW. The final is hard, you only have 1 wk to prepare for 5 chapters. Easy C but hard B and A in short sem. take it in longer semester b/c of more time to study and a bit easier. good luck
just like econ 1, he still good in teaching, kinda tricky in exams... however, it's 80% possible to get an A.. U just need to go through all the sources for exam.. short semester, u can drop 1 lowest score from 4 tests.. positive thing is u'll gonna learn alot from him...
I took professor Keskinel for Econ 1 and 2. I got two "A"s. My advice is do anything you can to take him because its a great class, but don't underestimate the class once you get in, you still must put effort in. The absolute best source to study is his lecture notes. If it is not there it wont be on the test. If you get "A"s 1st 3 test, skip final
very good teacher. explains amazingly well and very understanding. very close and patient with students, takes time to help everyone who needs.
He is pretty good.
Great.
Keskinel is the man! Just study his lecture notes, powerpoints, and maybe read the textbook- everything is online and pretty clear. Good teacher, makes it seem easy. HIGHLY Recommend. If your final exam score is worse than your lowest test, he replaces your final score with your lowest test score. 3 test As= Automatic Final A.
If you really want to learn i don't suggest him, i can barely understand him the class was way to big have the class couldn't hear him speak. The test are easy multiple choice, homework is rarely given out. He is interested in teaching but i couldn't understand him and the book which is very unclear did not help either. Gave extra credit manageable
Nice potential teacher. He's not the easiest, but he knows what he's talking about (not hard). No need to buy textbook since he gives you power point. Need to memorize his ppt, so u can do very well (A) on his 50 multiple choices exams. 3 tests, 1 final = drop the lowest exams. Hws are very easy, just research. He keeps his lecture interesting.
The best teacher ever to recommend. Whoever reading my comment, DO NOT listen to what other slackers say. His class is very straight forward. If you completely go over the powerpoints just for once before the test, there should be absoulutely no problem. Assignments are almost free points, final is just another chapter test, good humor ->overall A+
truly an amazing teacher. some may say that he is harder to understand because his english is not at the expected level, but he more than makes up for it by using clear cut examples to teach all of his lessons. A very gifted professor who i am looking forward to taking next semester.
You can't go wrong with this guy!! He gives lots of point for homework, which can be done in couples. Lots of extra credit, tells you whats gonna be on the test and whats not! No need to read the book. All that plus a cutest turkish accent I've ever heard. :) If the class would not cost me $1000+ I would've failed it just to take it again with him!
online class: He is by far one of the most lenient professors out there... Tests are extremely easyyyyyyyyy. I can't say how easy the multiple questions on the tests are. If you read the book and do the homework, you will forsure get an A on the exams and the class. He also drops a test and gives you lots of extra credit. Highly Recommended!!!
hes a nice guy but not very clear. unlike others on here, he didnt really give extra credit. the only extra credit was a 6 page essay at the end of the semester for 15 points. questions on tests were vague & subjective. i had to ask him to clarify SO much just to get a decent grade. hes a nice guy but not the best teacher
He is supper supper helpful. He is clear like crystal. I love the way he grades. # mid term. drop the lowest grade. And a supper easy final. you need to study 3-4 hours per week. I wish I dropped hie class to take it again. his accent is supper beautiful.I love him.everybody love him, actually.
He is super clear and essay. he dropped the lowest grade out of 3 mid-term, and a super easy final exam. I love his Turkish accent.
Super nice guy, took the summer online class the tests were EXTREMELY hard. Studied very much but still didnt get good grades. He drops the lowest test score and has an extra credit assignment. But the tests were killer and almost impossible to do well on.
He is really easy. If you attend his class you know all the material of the exam:)his class is fun and extremely helpful. 3 mid-term, drop lowest, and one easy final from last 4 chapter. one extra credit about 18 points. highly recommended:) <3
Definitely a nice guy, but not an effective teacher. Class is strict lecture style; he does not encourage student questions. Provides too many personal anecdotes/jokes, not enough explanation of technical concepts. Tests are difficult. Doesn't grade written work.
Good class, easy tests and homeworks, drops lowest grade of 3 tests...pretty laid back, you'll definitely enjoy it if you need ECON1 certainly far better than some of the other econ profs at SMC.
Very nice teacher, but doesn't teach well. His powerpoints are very confusing and you can't understand what he says. His tests are very hard as well.
very good teacher. might look like an easy A at first but its not. you will have to study. he makes economics interesting and sometimes even fun. take him if econ is your MAJOR
by the way girls... hes hot!... this class will be hard if your not into economics. fair grader, not easy... tests are easy only if you study!! very hard if you dont. if your looking for an easy A you wont get here
Prof. Keskinel is a very fair grader and provides good lectures with some humor thrown in to keep the class interested. As long as you listen attentively, take notes, and read the textbook, an 'A' is definitely within reach. e-Companion is used heavily (PowerPoints, summaries, etc.)
Great teacher. Keeps you interested in Econ with funny stories. Fairly easy because he dropped the lowest test. Weekly hw was always 100 for attempting. Helps boost grade. He has a passion for his material and makes you enjoy it with him. Take him. You wont be disappointed.
His good and very helpful, but the exams were not that easy,25 multiple choices and 25 ture/fault, also add 4 short answers.4 exams, drop the lowest one.Turning the homework on time, you will get full graded. not an easy A,but take him.
Econ KING!!! This is the best professor ever. I have had taken his classes for 5 years off and on and he has not changed. He is very helpful, knowledgeable and funny. He will assist as much as he can unless you are lazy and skip class. BEST ECON + Business professor ever!!!! I will recommend him to all my friends and classmates.
He is awesome!!!!!the best!!I took his class over winter there is like 4 assignments that you have to turn online, 4 tests (lowest will be dropped)which is on scan tron plus 3-4 short answer questions and there is like a 7 page long essay for extra credit...he teaches great...trust me you will learn econ and get an A...highly recommended!!!!!!!!!
I love this guy!!! His class is NOT EASY! You have to STUDY! But he is very helpfull and gives extra credit! so sad this class will be over soon
I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR!!! NICE GUY! HE IS ALWAYS CONSIDERATE THAT YOU CAN NEGOCIATE WITH HIM ABOUT EVERY PROBLEM YOU HAVE! 3 EXAMS DROP ONE LOWEST. EVERYONE GET 100% ON HOMEWORK. HE GIVES US 4 OPTIONAL TIME FOR FINAL! NICEST GUY EVER!
Great Professor, difficult to understand at times because of his accent but a nice, considerate, helpful guy. He's great but the class itself isn't easy. Need to study, buy the book to do HW, 4 exams drops lowest of 2 because Midterm and Final are in your grade for sure, and optional extra credit.
Probably the best econ professor at SMC, just by listening to his lectures you will learn the book. He is very clear to the main points of the book and goes over whatever is necessary to do well on the exams. TWO WORDS: TAKE HIM! Go to class, do the homework and you will get an A.
Econ2 is not easy but he is a VERY GOOD teacher, got an A :)
At first this class was hard, I got an A without having to buy or even open the textbook. However, you will need to do a lot of research and he tends to be a bit unclear at times. Hes a great professor who is passionate about this course, he is very helpful before, during, and after class.. also if you have any qts just email him!!
this was an online class and had very simple assignments. However the tests are very hard if you dont study and have no idea what it is talking about even tho its open book. but the teacher seems nice considering the fact he gave easy assignments and an extra credit opportunity.
I took him for his scholar's econ 2 class. He is extremely helpful, extremely easy and not horrible looking. I literally hardly ever studied, only attended the class about 8 times throughout the semester and still received a B; if I had put in more a little more effort, I would've had an A. Everyone gets 100 on assigns., even if you don't do them.
I took Prof Keskinel's online Econ 2 course. Each week we were to complete a Weekly Assignment (pretty much read the textbook and answer the corresponding questions) and contribute a post to the Weekly Discussion. As long as you did all the work, you got full credit. Tests (entirely MC) were easy if you read through the relevant textbook chapters.
Very understanding professor Explains everything Gives assignment weekly and goes through it in class responds to emails can even reschedule test when need be! He has quite the sense of humor! Take him
Keskinel is a fun teacher. Sometimes it can be easy to let your mind wander off in his class, but he makes his class very easy to compensate. The final is difficult if you aren't fully studied up. He gives easy extra credit opportunities and curves tests and wants you to do well in his class. He is always willing to help if his students need it.
Talented professor. Provides plenty of real world examples. Probably one of the best professors in economics. Highly recommended.
I took his class online. I must say that I really learned a lot of things throughout his homework and assignments. He gives questions related to contemporary macroeconomics and is very clear. The only thing that I hated was the boring and over-wordy textbook that he uses for macroeconomics.
You have 3 Mid-term exam he takes the highest 2 and one final. Every week you do 1 assignment which you express your thoughts and understanding of the material everyone can get full credit and 1 discussion topic to express your thoughts as well. At the end of the semester he give a 3% assignment so your chance are high to get an A! Good Professor
Read and take notes. Very hard tests, you will have to work for the grades
The homework and assignments were easy. The power points were not so helpful and the tests were haaaaarrrrdd! Work your butt off and you will pass. Do the extra credit even if you think you are doing well b/c it will help with your grade!
His class is really straightforward (at least the online one). There's a weekly homework and discussion assignment but if you do them, you pretty much are guaranteed full credit. Does not post an answer key so unless you ask him, you have no clue if you're hw is right. Tests are somewhat difficult but not bad. Easy to at least get a B in his class
Overall you get your money's worth. Class consists of 3 Midterms, drops the lowest and 1 final. Weekly blog and assignments. Honestly not too bad at all, make sure to read the book for your HW and test references. His communication maybe at times a little late, but he'll always get back to you. If you show the effort, you'll do fine.
This class was ridiculously hard. You have 90 seconds for each test question and none of them are in the textbook. Do yourself a favor and take brown or carter
I took him for both Econ 1 and 2. His Econ 2 class started out easy but then the tests got really difficult towards the end. Luckily, he drops the lowest one and provides an extra credit opportunity. Gives full credit for homework and discussions as long as you do them.
Econ 1 & 2 w/ Keskinel was overall an ok class. Assignments were easy BUT they did not prepare you for the tests. The questions on the exam were not clear and didn't do a good job of applying what we learned through assignments. Although I did receive an A for both classes I don't recommend taking it online or w/ this professor.
He is very helpful. I recommend taking him but the class is very hard. The tests got very hard through the end but the good thing he drops your lowest score and tolerates late homework. It takes few days to get a response from him but overall , I liked his class.
I really enjoyed Professor Keskinel's macroeconomics class. Learned a lot and thought the online format was conducive to learning. Although you have to teach yourself a lot of material, he is very quick when responding to emails. Aplia assignments are pretty easy and interactive to help you learn. Discussion once a week (easy). Overall great class!
For me this class was really interesting he had us boil down 30-100 page economic reports to paragraphs and single pages essays. It's only online and the discussions were easy because Globalization is little understood by hardly anyone. Discussions on Globalization are always going to involve opinion over reality. I also took his Econ 002 class.
There are discussions due every Wednesday and assignments. There was 3 midterms but dropped the lowest score. The class starts easy then gets hard at the end. I failed the final but still managed to received a B. The final is cumulative. I recommend this class for people that are not econ majors because I didn't learn anything.
Professor Keskinel is amazing. she cares about the students and her understanding is above all instructors. she's so nice and lovely. Her teaching methods are the best. Take any class with her and you will absolutely love her. words can not describe her :)
I highly recommand him
Took this class online and I got a B. Homework due every Sunday as well as discussion, both simple. Tests are semi-hard and they require you to study. Gives one extra credit assignment at the end of the course which will help your grade. Put in the time and effort (an online class after all) and you should get a B or higher.
Winter 8 week course. His due dates on the syllabus and the online platform were all over the place. I got a 60 on a test because his online platform stated that 2 chapters were due next week but yet he put them on the midterm with a 1 day window. ended up with an 81% but I am not sure if I would take him again. I don't like scattered instructions.
Professor takes several days to answer emails (not just 48 hours). Assignments and the tests are automatically graded, and you do not get corrections. The textbook is long winded and takes up a page to say what could be said in a paragraph. There are 3 tests which are 80% of the grade, so screwing up even one can have a big impact on your grade.
I took Keskinel's online course over the winter. The questions you can easily find information on online, but when you do the test, it's heavily based off the textbook. He does give study guides, but due to my busy schedule, I didn't realize until the last exam. Otherwise, it's really easy and he does give extra credit at the end.
Took his econ 2 class over winter and the course was extremely test heavy. 70% of your grade is based on 2 midterms and 1 final so screwing up on one of them can make a huge impact on your overall grade. Tests weren't too hard if you have the online textbook and know where to look for the answers.
If you dont know nothing about Econ I wouldnt recommend taking this class online I took it not knowing nothing and his PowerPoints werent very helpful it was vague and all over the place.
Keskinel is really straight-forward. He sends out announcements every week to make sure everyone is keeping up with the work. He lets you know exactly what is expected and offers extensions on all assignments if need be. Quite forgiving. He also responds to emails really fast. He's always available to help. Just read the book and you'll be fine.
Professor Keskinel is a great person- if you understand economics you should take him.
Professor Keskinel is a great instructor, he cares about you, he also a very smart person, he will not push you to study. You need to learning by yourself, If you are not good of self-study, do not take him, The test is not easy, read the book and do the homework, you will be fine. He will try his best to help you to pass the class.
This class is really hard for someone that doesnt know economics and is trying to learn. He doesnt know how to teach online and gives you such hard assignments. Do not take this class of economics and math isnt your best subject. Btw nothing is online if your planning on it
This class is very basic. Until he forgets about your class. He literally goes MIA for like 2 weeks and comes back and expect you to do everything less than 2 days. His test are tough and complicated. Good luck. Take it in class and actually learn without sleeping everything with anxiety guessing your grade
Professor Keskinel's workload is very manageable, The homework is reading the modules and answering the weekly discussions and thee quizzes. Gives extra credit, there are three timed exams and drops the lowest which is nice. Responds very fast to emails, truly wants his students to succeed.
I took Econ 2 (Macroeconomics) with Professor Keskinel during the summer session. He doesn't assign a lot of homework, however; the two mid-term exams and final count for much of your grade. Weekly quizzes have three attempts and the highest score is kept. He is caring and approachable for help.
Took Econ2 8 week class for winter with Professoe Kesskinel. There is not alot of homework. There is quizzes which you have three attempts and the highest score is kept. There is also two two exams and a final that are worth alot. I would take this preofessor again.
Keskinel is a pretty easy going professor, and so is the class. Basically, if you stay on top of your class work, discussions, and quizzes (lowest is dropped) you'll pass. His textbook is provided so you don't have to pay for a book. I took this during the winter, so it was very fast paced like any other winter/summer class.
Class is pretty simple, just do the work given. The work you have to do is pretty simple. He provides the textbook which is very nice.
prof Keskinel is the best, he exactly wants you to pass that class. Just make sure to understand each quiz question, then you should be more than fine for the exams. Gives additional time for the quizzes if you have an excuse. Extra credit opportunity is available, plus always replies emails so fast!
He will go that extra mile just so you can understand the material. He's super accessible outside of class and understands that there's more to our lives than his classes so he's lenient with timing. No ego. Super down to earth.
So his quizes and discussions are super easy. Then comes his exams. He does NOT let you know when they are, they just pop up randomly. Almost missed two They are not listed in the assignments page so he just posts them by surprise. He makes his exams 240 points each and final exam 360 points. Who does this? It makes your grade drop a lot. So Stupid
Took him during covid and it kinda seemed liked he just didn't care too much. It was just reading + the exams which were all questions off quizlet, so he didn't give much motivation to study. On the final exam he changed it up and didn't make it like that and the average was a D. Had a question column in canvas and didn't answer any the whole year.
This class was extremely easy. Pretty much anyone can receive an A without even learning any of the material. The class is pretty much comprised of quizzes, which he gives you three attempts for. The tests are also extremely easy. Would highly recommend taking in order to fill in a GE requirement.
Super helpful with everything! 1 or 2 quizzes a week, so make sure to do the weekly readings. 2 midterm exams and 1 final, but other than that, it was a great class :)
got 89.8% but still got an A. 2 Quizzes every week. Wish he provided study guides or the exams but overall great teacher!
He's an okay choice, not the best though. A good class for the flexibleness. There's a decent amount of reading and a weekly quiz. His problem is that he forgets to announce things on time so you can see an assignment due the next day. If you're put things off you can be screwed by his forgetfulness. NO TEXTBOOK NEEDED for the class.
This dude is amazing you will for sure pass once you're in his class a real good Economic professor YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS!!!! Very reachable!
Your grade is comprised of weekly quizzes, discussions, and a 'final' exam. You will also get the opportunity for extra credit worth 1% near the end of the semester! Take this class, seriously do not hesitate to schedule it because it's a freebie. Love him
Took his course during the summer. There were 2 weekly quizzes, 1 weekly discussion & 3 exams. Offers prerecorded lectures but I found it difficult to understand so I heavily relied on the weekly readings which is A LOT. Definitely a solid choice but most of your grade is composed of exams, no grades are dropped and there are no retakes on exams
Teaches econ very well without making it too complicated or hard. The reading is a kind of a pain but is doable. Tests are super accurate to the reading. Overall, the best econ professor and a fairly easy class.
He made me really like economics, and I really enjoyed the lectures. He also provided the textbooks online for free, and the lectures would explain different parts of the lecture. Great professor and great class.
10/10 finished with 96 highly recommend.
This professor brought economics to life! The lectures were engaging, and the free textbook was a huge plus. For study prep, I found unstuck study and ChatGPT really helpful. Attend class, do the readings, and you'll ace this course.
I took my first Econ class with him and I liked it so I'm taking Econ 2 online class with him again. I 100% recommend taking classes with him you won't regret it. Easy A if you do the work on time:) The professor is caring and helpful.
He was an amazing teacher who was really understanding. Make sure to do the weekly work, because it really makes a difference on your grade.
I took his flexible econ1 class. we had a quiz that you can take 2 times (yes, the same quiz) and a discussion for every weeks lectures, we also had 3 midterms (top2 counts) and a final. Overall his lecture was great and easy.
Professor Keskinel is a great prof overall. His quizzes and discussion boards are directly from the reading PDFs that he supplies. He allows 2 retakes on all quizzes and was very quick on his responses throughout the semester. Everything is interactive and it's very simple to get and keep an A in the class.
Didn't read a page of the textbook, and the discussions were straightforward and simple to understand. The midterms and final were worth over half of the grade in points, but were pretty straightforward. Super duper easy class, recommend if you need to get the credit out of the way.
