I tried taking this class online with another teacher, BIG MISTAKE! She makes the class VERY interesting. I have learned more in class than I could have ever learned from a book. She teaches about everyday life, not things that happened years ago.

I took Professor Hoffmans Distance Learning Principles of Management 1303 course and found it to be very easy. All you have to do is read the chapters assigned, email her the chapter reviews and she practically gives you the answers to the tests. YES, you actually have to read the book, but why wouldnt you if you didnt want to learn? Easy A.

She's very helpful. Assigns groups to do special projects. Do your vocabulary and stay for the reviews, it is easy to make an A. Don't do the vocabulary, and the tests become twice as hard! Same thing goes for her HRPO Human Relations class. Good classes for Honors Credits.

Very great teacher! She is an easy teacher. She explains well. Her tests are easy. She gives you a review and what she tells you its going to be on the test it is on the test. No tricks! Yes she does have us in groups but that is so if we get behind we have somebody that can explain us without interrupting the class. She is very helpful.

If you come to class and do all the homework, you should get an "A". She explains everything you need to know.

I have taken her for 3 classes. She is a very good Professor. You know what is going to be on the exams. As long as you do homework you get to do the review. She gives you the answers to all reviews. Excellent class. A+ lady!!!

I've had her as my professor for like 3 or 4 classes. She's really helpful and she tries to make class fun. She's quirky but it made me laugh. She is by far my favorite professor. I definitely recommend her.

Mrs. Hoffman is great, come to class do the homework and you should get an A in the class. She really cares about the students, tells a lot of stories which can get long. She doesn't collect the homework, trust me do the work!!! I had no desire to do anything more than a marketing degree, after this class, now I am looking into an accounting degree

I took ker for the 5 week summer class and she was so much better than I ever expected! Just come to class and do the homework and you will get an A. Don't be afraid to ask questions like some people say, I asked them all the time. If this was my major I would take her for all of my classes!!! She is one of the best teachers I have ever taken!

If you come to class and do the homework, you can get a good grade in this class. She really tries to help students.

I think she is a really great teacher especially if you take her online. Just be sure and read the book and do your homework. It will make things alot easier for you.

She does everything possible to help the student learn. And, if you attend her reviews after completing all the homework, you are guaranteed a very good grade. She is also sympathetic toward students with extenuating circumstances and lets you take any missed exam on the day of finals. She is a clear, concise teacher.

This was a super easy professor and class. Her required homework are terms and concepts that you need to know. If you do the homework and go to class for the review she will let you know which exact terms and concepts will be on the test. She does put you in groups to promote team work and help you stay afloat. 1 group project is required.

Mrs Hoffman is really nice and helpful. You must show up to do well in the class. She really tries to help the students and gives plenty of extra credit. Always open to questions and explains the material well. I'm taking her for 2302.

Gives an excellent review prior to every test. I would recommend taking her for both Acct I and Acct II. You will not find a better teacher at SJC-Central.

She is an AWESOME teacher. She is very clear with her information and you understand the information the FIRST time she teaches you. She makes class easy & fun. Her reviews are 99% like the test. She really cares about her students and will do EVERYTHING she can to make sure they pass. I'm sad she isn't teaching a summer session! :(

Go to class. Pay attention. She is helpful. And easy. Just ask her questions, she's a little weird at times but she's sweet. Take her as much as possible.

She is very nice. Her tests are identical to her quizes. Look over the quizes you will pass the test!

Easy A, however if you're wanting to pursue a career in Accounting I would recommend Jackson in order to get a better grasp on the subject.

some commented that Hoffman is a little wierd at times, but really nice and helpful. THis sums it up. She gets side tracked pretty easy adn is a little strange, but not too much that it's destracting. For about 8 weeks I thought she hated me, but I I was being paranoid. Her class is fairly easy as long as you study. She is a really good professor. She really cares about her students:D

mrs. Hoffman is an awesome lady. Really goes above and beyond for all of her students and is all about team work and helping each other. She will answer any question you have and make sure you understand the material. Take her :)

She is a Great teacher. She is open to any questions. at first I was not happy at all, it group work based extra credit. If everyone in your group does all the homework, gets a C or better on the test, and if everyone if present the day of the test, your group will receive 5 bonus points. She lectures about 20 minutes then lets you work.

Bases bonus points on how well your group does. Deadbeat in your group no points. Tells you nearly exactly what is on the tests and final. Weekly blackboard and cengage HW, you either get a 100% or get a 0%. Need book for offline non-graded HW. Teaches to the tests, but still must attend class to understand. Got an A w study. You will need the book in this class, both for homework and classwork. There is a bit of homework, Cengage,BB, and readings. I found this class to be easy, I never really stressed about it. Accounting is not hard, just learn the formats. Gives a review before test, extra credit if group gets all hw done, and a C or better in test.

Very clear, teaches to all learning styles. Do the homework - if you get the homework you can pass the tests. Wants you to bring your phone to take pics as she writes out the problems, so you can have them for reference while doing homework. Very clear reviews before tests. I got a 103 in this class, but honestly felt like I didn't learn anything. As long as you do all of your homework you'll defiantly past. Her in class reviews are basically the test. You're put into groups and extra credit is reliant on everyone in your group doing their work.

Would definitely take again! We really wanted her to teach ACCT 1302. She's more organized in her lesson than most teachers. A few other students agreed she was one of the best they have had. Prepare to just have a blank piece of paper and memorize everything. It is vital that you're in a capable group when you sit down in class can make/break you.

This is an honest review from your average college student. This class has a good amount of H.W. You got a total of 4 exams. Exams are based on the general idea of the class and the understanding not just the notes! To make an A in this class you will need to practice over and over again. Prof. Is very nice and funny. She tries her best. DONT SKIP

She is a very good professor her teaching style is good. Expect to work in groups and have alot of homework but it will help you so much when it comes to test day. I would take her again in a heart-beat. She knows her stuff................. And her reviews and homework are just like her test.

Take her!! She teaches you a different method of accounting than the book, but if you take notes during class (not often), you will be fine. She gives you a practice test before the actual exams. She will also give you problems to work in the book that are very similar to the exam. Cengage & blackboard "self checks". Talk w/ your group (Trust me).

She's amazing and really cares about your grade, understanding the material and passing. She gives extra credit as long as your whole group passes their exam and do all their homework so make sure you sit with people that are gonna take the class seriously. Communication between your team is key and will help a lot.

Amazing professor, homework is easy as long as you show up to class, she talks and explains exactly what you need to know and the book is like $2, honestly the best professor I've ever had. Easy A even if you hate math.

This Professor is by far the best and most caring teacher I have yet met! I have never taken accounting and numbers arent my strong suit but she made it seem so easy! Took her for Acct1&2. Her lectures are so clear and gives plenty of examples until you understand. As long as you attend class you will pass! Plus book is only $1.56

I have taken Professor Hoffman's accounting 1 and 2 and can say that she is an amazing professor. Take my word for it take her!

This teacher is very easy. She gives all the answers for every test and if you miss a class you will have a hard time understanding what was taught on the day that you missed. Self checks are very easy. Nothing to worry about as long as you attend class.

Shes the sweetest. She prints all of the important parts of the textbook for students and sells it for $1 so you dont have to spend too much time and money on the actual textbook. If you do the homework and practice them for each test youll 100% pass. She cares about students and is always available to help. Gonna take her for ACCT 2

Her online lectures are 3 minute videos over each chapter, which are very useful. Then you read the textbook which is short. She post practice problems with the key and then makes you do similar problems for homework. Super easy class that requires work. She makes you get in groups that you stick with all semester to make the class easy. 10/10

Had her for ACCT 2301 and I had to make sure to sign up for her class again. She's super helpful and responds to emails quickly. She found ways to give extra credit and the exams are JUST like the reviews. Only way of failing is if you don't do the work and don't go to class. She wants her students to succeed. I HIGHLY recommend taking her.

Prof. Hoffman was just amazing. She definitely has an understanding of how the students mind works and is very aware of what sticks with students. This helps student in the course to excel and retain the most information possible. If you're looking to take an accounting class, SHE'S THE ONE!

Not enough good things I can say about her. I took her for acct1 and acct2. She truly wants you to understand what shes teaching and if you dont then shell explain until you do. She also cares very much about her students. She really wants you to succeed. Id highly recommend her to any student who will take accounting

I was scared about taking an accounting class because I heard they were difficult. Professor Hoffman's lectures made it simple though. She explains things very simply and welcomes questions. I actually enjoyed this class because she was a very good professor.

Took for 2302 as well. Assignments are mostly clear. Wonderful online videos. Nearly free materials. Get into a good group! Opens assignments early so you can work at your own pace and get ahead. No surprises on tests. Read carefully and you'll do well. Use her free handouts and get the "book" printed on campus. You'll need it!

I tagged group projects because you'll be in a mandatory study group (of your choosing), and everyone has to send their assignments via email in one go. I took her online anytime class; though it's not my favorite, there are IMMENSELY helpful lecture videos! Only 4 major exams with an optional make-up exam. Quizzes are open notes, too.

DO YOUR HW!! It's not a lot, just really focus on them. 1st test is on paper & rest is on computers and multiple choice (make sure to do the selfchecks bc questions are worded just like them). Sometimes it was hard to follow along with Mrs. Hoffman, but overall you can tell she wants her students to pass and is willing to provide help if needed.

Mostly video lectures and a lot of group work, however, the work was pretty easy. Professor Hoffman is one of the most caring and respectful teachers I know. I highly recommend her class.

I loved professor hoffman! I took her for both accounting 1 and 2 and she was heavy on working in groups and I loved it. Her quizzes were not too bad. She did a lot of in class work to where she would come by and help if you and your group were confused. Her tests do require a bit of studying, I didn't study and I would get a C everytime.

Accounting with professor Hoffman is an easy class as long as you study, have patience, and study for the exams. Show up to class and take good notes, as long as you do this you will be fine.

Making a study group at the beginning of her course is required, you basically go through the whole course with them lol. The work is generally simple and self-explanatory. The workload is completely reasonable. Her tests are easy to pass. Only thing is her group questions tend to be vague as well as her responses to your questions

Professor Hoffman's class was easygoing. It can be confusing at times regarding homework but her way of explaining lessons and answering all questions helps a lot. I took this class for a full semester, and you really need to participate as a group to succeed.

I took this class online but if I had a question she was able to email back and make sure to be clear on your question; overall online class was hard because you have to read a lot and basically learn by yourself so it can be tough.

Professor Hoffman makes accounting easy with her engaging lectures and helpful resources. Use unstuck study along with the provided notes and you'll ace this class.
