Guaranteed 'A'. This class is the definition of a joke. Students run the class, and if you complain enough she'll cut down the work. Taught high school for many years, and makes that pretty obvious. Take it,I'm sure many of you could use a GPA booster.

Very easy class, alot of work that takes time but a little kid could complete it.

She was okay. The work load was really heavy, but she did give some slack from time to time. Good if you need her for a requirement, and she's actually a really cool person.

Man... this class was easy and interesting but also the most annoying. She's a good professor and all, but having those little easy assignments due every class period is so tedious. Be sure to do them all and go to class because it affects your grade tremendously.

Dr. Perry is an excellent writing professor. She really taught us to observe things critically, at least in the sphere in pop culture. Her grading is fair and she's always willing to help by scheduling writing conferences. BUT, I must warn that if you're super-conservative, she talks about sex/sexuality quite freely.

Lit pop culture was a really enjoyable class- alot of the time we talked about video games, and lady gaga, but some weeks we learned more important things. if you're looking for a B with no effort, definitely take this class, and if you're looking for an A, also take this class.. but read the stuff assigned for each class, pay attention& take notes

Mary Perry is an awesome professor and the class she teaches is super fun. If not an A, its an easy B, but just read over your notes and powerpoints before quizzes. She is such a fun teacher and going to her class is fun (she doesn't take attendance). Always listens to ideas and comments from students. Overall great. TAKE HER!!!

I hate her for my first seminar and let me just say shes one of the best teachers I've ever had. It's not because she's easy but because she truly cares about her students and I learned SO much from her. She is a great teacher! I'm still going to her classes in the fall even if I'm not registered for them =)

She's easily one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is hilarious, very easy to relate to, and makes class a lot of fun. She uses powerpoints, but I would highly recommend going to class. There are some things she puts on quizzes and tests that are discussion or lecture only - not on the powerpoints. Easy B if not an easy A.

Definitely take this class!! It is extremely easy and she has been my favorite teacher so far. As long as you attend class you will get an easy A. I got an A and never even took notes, you just have to pay attention.

Best professor I've had at wcu! She's so friendly and fun to be around. The class was pop culture so I found everything interesting, we mostly watched clips. We don't have to buy books because she uploaded articles that we really didnt hve to read. Just study PPTs and you should pass. Attendance isn't mandatory but I never minded coming anyway.

Dr. Perry is one of the most entertaining and interesting professors I have ever had. I think what drew me to this course as a gen ed over HIS was the fact that it's Pop Culture. Her down to earth personality and teaching style is amazing. There are 5 quizzestests that are 35 questions with a cumulative final.

Her class is very interesting so i don't mind going. There is not too much reading and a lot of short videos followed by class discussion. Grade is based on 6 tests as well as one midterm and final. Try to show up and listen but if you miss a class or two it won't be the end of the world. She is also really nice and accommodating.

She was great! No homework, but there are 6 quizzes over the course of the semester, which are easy to pass as long as you show up to class. She makes the class an easy A and engages the class because the whole course is all about pop culture, which is interesting. We watched episodes of South Park, True Blood, and The Walking Dead. It was awesome.

Lit 100 was super easy because Dr. Perry lectures about thing you'll actually find interesting. The tests are straight forward, she isn't one of those professors that will try to trick you. Just show up, pay attention, and read the few things she assigns, and you're golden.

LIT 100 is without a doubt the easiest class you will every take. There are 5 quizzes, a midterm, and a final. She reviews right before each exam. Her class is interesting. She uses power points and posts them all on D2l. The information for the quizzes are taken directly from the power points. Easy A, GPA saver.

Merry Perry is one of the best professors at West Chester! Absolutely take her if you have a chance! All the material is current and interesting! She relates to her students and is very helpful at her office hours before quiz days. Loved her class! Would absolutely take it again!

For her LIT class, you are graded only by quizzes and exams, but they're so easy you won't mind. She doesn't take attendance but class is fun and she gives all the answers to the tests in class. Final is not cumulative. She's a really nice lady who cares about her students, is really understanding and lenient.

She is a hilarious person. The class is a really easy class, and you can basically only go on test days because she posts everything online. Sometimes I would get a bit irritated at various things we learned or had tests on, for example - we had a 180 question study guide on the matrix. The tests are also very nit picky about certain details.

Merry Perry is literally one of the sweetest people ever. The only things that you're graded on in class are the quizzes that you take every 3-4 weeks. Everything is relevant and she keeps you interested throughout the entire class. Her tests aren't horrific, but you need to review a little. The biggest assignment is a 16 page movie study guide

Merry Perry is one of the best teachers ever. Our class was on pop culture, so it wasn't anything too hard. As long as you showed up or watched the shows outside of class you pass without any worry. I would take any class taught by her again in a heartbeat.

I loved Merry Perry for Lit 100! She not only made class fun but also very easy. She mad it clear what questions would be on the test, and while some were very specific, she gives you many tools to do well. We were even allowed to used our film notes for an exam. I had her for WRT, while she might be easy, its not as great as LIT. Easy/fun A :)

Merry Perry is the greatest professor I've ever taken. She makes us read one book, but it is so much fun. Each unit brings something different and she is hilarious. So chill and easy to talk to. I loved her so much im taking another class with her.

We need to protect Merry Perry at all cost!!! I would quite literally give this woman my kidney if she needed one. If I could rate her infinity/10 I would. If you have a chance to take her DO IT! Our required textbook for this class was Disney plus. Can not say enough good things about her and this class.

Dr Perry is amazing. With everything being online with covid, it makes it difficult to have a personal relationship with professors. Dr perry always starts class asking how everyone is and genuinely cares abt her students. She makes class fun and enjoyable and Im taking a class with her next semester because I loved her so much. Pretty easy class.

TAKE HER!!!! Her class was for sure on the easier side but I still got a lot out of it. She likes a good laugh and definitely cares for her students a lot. She is very straight forward and organized. Tests are easy, but for online her class was Disney themed which made it a lot easier and much more fun. She was always asking how everyone is doing.

She is the best. So sweet and funny. Her LIT 100 course is all about Disney which is fun and a nice break from usual courses. All you need to do to pass is watch the movie and take the quiz once a week with occasional reading checks. Take her course!!!

Ive had Professor Perry twice and enjoyed both times. Felt more open to talk and less pressure in class. As they were both LIT courses (100 and 165), due to the pandemic and all online, watching films and looking more in detail about certain things does open up when it comes to writing, whether for the class or looking back when writing freely.

Dr. Perry is the best! She gives great feedback, isn't a super harsh grader, and was very hilarious! You will have work, but it won't be super challenging and she respects and understands that people have different writing styles which makes the class 10x easier. I want her as my writing professor this semester!

Dr. Perry is definitely a must-take professor. She makes it super easy to take notes, and sometimes even tells you exactly what to note down. You're probably not going to learn traditional job skills, but you will - as long as you think about what is being talked about - learn to think much more critically than before, especially about culture.

Perry is a really sweet professor. She loves Disney movies, so a lot of her major assignments/ projects revolve around that. The work is easy, it might be a little time-consuming, though. If you do the assigned work ahead of time, this course is a breeze.

Perry deserves a raise, she is the sweetest thing brought upon this planet and truly cares about her students. Her class is fun whilst bringing up dark topics such as racism and depression. There are weekly quizzes and short essays then 3 exams. If you have to take a lit or English gen ed take Dr.Perry!

She is so fun! If you like movies take this class. She doesnt give homework assignments you just take 4 exams and an optional final depending on if you are satisfied with your grade in the class. Each class you hand in a paper for participation points

Classes are chill/fun, but she a large portion of your grade is based on small in class activities. We do watch Disney movies so a subscription for Disney+ is the textbook.

Dr.Perry is hands down one of the greatest and most entertaining professors at West Chester. She is extremely flexible and kind to all of her students. This class is light and a great gen ed to have if you have some pretty difficult classes to take during your semester.

I took her for WRT 200 in the summer 1 session. She was one of the best professors I had. She even lets us turn work in late. This class takes a lot of effort but it is totally doable in the summer. I think getting an A is totally possible but I got a B because I was also taking 2 other summer classes.

merry perry is an absolute g we watched music videos and the textbook was a disney+ subscription. still requires effort, if you don't show up you will fail. however such a pleasure to take love merry perry

Only take this is you like Disney movies or it will be torture. All exams were open book so if you take notes in class you will get A on everything. Loved this professor she was funny and actually gets what's going on in the world.

One of my favorite professors so far. Assignments are easy and minimal. This is a very low-stress class and a very easy grade. If you are looking to fulfill a gen ed requirement I'd definitely recommend this class. I'd say that attendance is mandatory, because she does do easy in class assignments fairly frequently, but she will let you make it up.

Easy A and good gen-ed class to take. All quizzes and tests are open note. Little to no homework, sometimes an article to read but she doesn't check to see if you did it. However, in class attendance/participation assignments are given regularly. A bit redundant/boring at times but worth it as she's really nice and helpful if you need it.
