if u really want to learn acct well~take her!! lots of hw, but those works make tests easy for u! she is not as bad as wut ppl said here, she is very helpful for her students. she gives numerous extra credits to help students to get a good grade.
this class is too easy. dont expect to slack off and skip class and get a good grade. easy A.
Breen lectures clearly and creates a comfortable environment for students to ask questions. The homework is heavy but prepares students well for the tests, which often are easier.
Takes attendance and drops you if you miss 3 in a row. Her lectures are boring, but handouts done in class are similar to test questions. Her points system makes it super easy to get an A+. Lots of homework but they help a lot on quizzes and tests.
She is very nice and funny teacher. Her teaching method makes you practice everything twice or even more than that. It helps you do well on tests. At the end, what you get is knowledge. Good teacher.
I took this class in summer and still thought it was moving at snail's pace. How do they do it in regular quarter, read half chapter a day? Easy teacher but her materials and hw are helpful. You will understand if you do all her hw. She gives an insanely large amount of extra credit. If you can't get an A+ in her class, you fail in life.

The only thing I didn't like that she posted homework on wileyplus at 7-8pm the day before the due day (next morning). So I basically had to stay up at night or miss my other morning class to complete the homework. In general she is a good teacher, clear explanation, I still remember everything I learned in her class :)
Breen is really good teacher. She goes slow and makes sure you understand the material. Although she assigns a good amount of hw, it well prepares you for her exams. She gives a lot of extra credit so that's a big plus, so basically its a pretty easy A.

Professor Breen really cares to teach accounting the right way and has carefully structured her class to facilitate that. This course, and accounting in general, takes more work than most would guess but her grading system is very forgiving. Take her if you are majoring in accounting and want to learn it the right way.
Great teacher. She teaches really good relative to other teachers. Although she gives a lot of HW and three mid-terms, but she also gives many extra credit. It is easy to get an A.

THe best accounting teacher ever she made class so much fun. If you do end up taking this class you better sit next to someone you like cuz you two will be best friends by the end because you do everything with you "buddy".

Good teacher; knows her subject well and is able to explain concepts so that novices can understand. Needs to improve her punctuality, though. Class never started on time; she was at least 10 minutes late most days. For people like myself who work full time and are trying to attend class as well, this really bugged me!
I had Ms. Breen for Accounting 1A and 1B. She is very strict and her grading policy is tough. If you want to learn, take her; if you want an easy A, take someone else.

She's a a really good teacher. There's a good amount of hw that you have to do (as much hw as you do in math). She's kind of hard, but she gives extra credit.
There is a higher amount of hw than I would've expected but plenty of extra credit. Tests require some preparation. Her greatest strength is in clarity and making a dull subject tolerable. Great sense of humor and classes I actually enjoyed attending.
HEAD OF ACCOUNTING, Mean and picky, you can just read the books and forget about her lecture in class, PEOPLE JUST TAKE HER FOR HER HUNDRED POINTS EXTRA CREDIT.
Mia Breen is a nasty, mean, unhelpful teacher! I would never take her class! Being head of accounting is such a joke, because it doesn't seem like she knows what she's talking about! So rude to students!

Class is easy to understand and she gives good explanations. She will not accept any late assignments for any reason, although she does offer extra credit. Take this calls if you are punctual about your work.

she is an extremely hard teacher... you're expected to do your homework and do stuff by yourself at home, or else. you might just get screwed over haha... if you really, "really" want to learn and give yourself a challenge, i recommend you take her. if you need the A to transfer? no....
She gives tons of homework, weekly unexpected quizzes, and the only thing we do in class is go over the homework. But, she gives tons of extra credit and a group project, which means free points. Only con is that she makes you photocopy every homework and it has to be 100% complete, otherwise 0 credit. It isn't hard if you read & do homework.
She is a really good teacher this class isnt hard at all i got through it without even doing any of the homework or the extra credit she explains things really well and i would definately recommend her if you like accouting and are looking for a career in the field. you should definately take her

Gives lots of hw, makes you print 2 copies to bring to class but doesn't explain the homework. There is one group project and she check's everyone's work which will make you late for your next class/ work; but she doesn't care. also dean of dept, not available for office hours; why bother printing out office hours when you're not there.
She is a good teacher. If you are really interested to understand accounting, i recommend her. Easy to get A in her class.

Finds it more important (and beneficial to her authoritative being) to go after students who are poor English speakers rather than reporting a student who shows up to class reeking of weed half the time. Talks in the library as though she's dictating to a 300-person lecture hall without a microphone, rules apparently don't apply to her... really?!
Breen was a great teacher. Definitely the best teacher I've had in my entire college career. She takes accounting and makes it understandable and is always apt to help her students. Always willing to help and an overall great person. i would recommend her 110%
Great teacher. Everyone is complaining that she makes you do a lot of work. Yeah there's homework but as long as you complete it you get full credit. Not really sure what other people were expecting, no hw then ace the exams and get an A? Its easy to get an A if you put in a little effort

She is the worst teacher to take if you want to major in accounting. Considering this is the first course you need to take, do NOT take her. There's a lot of extra credit but passing with a good grade is nothing if you end with little knowledge of the course, with screws you over for 1B badly!
the book gets confusing, but do the hw and pay attention in class, since she thoroughly explains everything you need to know for tests. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT it will help. shes clear and will make sure u understand when u need help. however she does like to embarrass people in front of the whole class
First off Mia = Mary. She may seem mean at first but she's not. 9 chapters, 4 exam, 1 final, and lots of HW but you won't have to do all. The lowest exam gets dropped. Her lectures are not too great. she does assign a lot of hw but it's mostly EC which will help almost guarantee your A if you try. I got an A.
She is a good teacher. She tried to explain everything in detail. She gaves lots of HW but you can really learn from doing all of them. You also have to complete all EC as much as you can, EC boosts your grade! Exams are easy and strict forward, MC + Short-Questions. Tips were given before exams. I finally got A+ in this class. Recommended!
Excellent teacher for your first accounting class. She explains the concepts well using examples and words not in the book, gives lots of homework which she goes over in class, and is generally very clear. I feel I came away from this class in an excellent position for 1B.
She is mean, disorganized, her lectures have no relevance to the topic, if it wasn’t for the tenure protection she would have been gone long time ago. Her performance as a teacher gets an F, her handout materials are junk that she cut and paste from books that don’t make any sense. If you have to take this class, take it at another college
Horrible teacher, she loves certain students and looks down upon the others. She doesn't teach at all she assigns manual and online HW and then teaches you how to actually do it the days after its due. HW is due at 8:45 for my class 15 min after it starts and I was a minute late and she wouldn't except the hw even though she has before for others.

Grade for this teacher is F. Old school teacher. She hate computers and tablets. Every single paper must be in order per her request or she will drop your grade just for that. You need to work with your "BUDDY" ~ Ughhhh I don't like her assignments. She use book but that have thousand errors and she knows that. :( Skip her class!!!
She is very very rude and sarcastic. I have taken several other classes in the same college and at different places too. I have never felt this way about any of my other instructors at all. She is the worst ever! My best tip: Pick a different teacher or a different college, definitely not her.
She is a very bm teacher. Very bad-mannered, sarcastic, and from her demeanor and the way she talks to and treats us students it appears that she thinks we are dimwits. Prof. Breen especially likes to call on students, paired in "buddies". And when she calls on students, she doesn't teach if you are wrong, but rather moves on to another group. Bad.
Take Her. Easy A!! Just do what she wants you to do. She is so helpful. This is my first time to study Acct. I took her for my 1A, 1B and 1C. I got A+, A, A respectively. Just take her, you will learn a lot. Recommended!

There are quite a lot of home works, written and online. But don't worry, if you do bad or if you miss it, there are tons of extra credit. Take her! worth it!
Not a great teacher. Doesn't teach with clarity and most of the class time is spent trying to learn the work with your partner. Also assigns homework before teaching it. I dropped because her teaching style didn't work for me. she also complained almost every day about the construction and the smell of it. Get over it and teach the class, please.

She is very straight forward and sometimes emotional that makes people think she is mean, but I find her a very nice and funny person. Work hard and it will be an easy A!
I am really surprised to see some positive feedback about her.She is very rude and thoroughly discouraging. I was very hesitant to clarify my doubts on the subject for the fear of humiliation. I sincerely wish that I don't lose the interest in the subject because of the bad experience I had with her. I wouldn't recommend her class to anyone!
Very clear and concise with what the material is. Book and handout packet are mandatory. There are 4 midterms and a final, plus lots of homework and quizzes, but she gives you, say 100 points to do and only grades maybe 40, so if you mess up or forget, there's always more to do. Extra credit is also available at every chapter online.
SHE IS WONDERFUL! Mia will go above and beyond to explain things to you! Go to her office hours, she will help those that are WILLING to get help. I am normally a C student but with following her format I managed to have an A for the first time! She is NOT difficult! Give her a chance! Wonderful woman!
I really love how she teaches accounting to students. She explains everything clearly and makes sure everyone understands. However, what surprised me is how she doesn't truly understands that some accounting problems have identical answers that could lead to plagiarism, which some students don't intend to do.
I am a science major, haven't done accounting before and want to switch career. I wanted to see if I would like accounting. And, I owe it to Mia that I love it. She is an excellent teacher and explains everything till each and everyone understands the concept. She wants you to feel successful and wants you to learn and somehow achieves it.
so, i got an A, but its not thanks to her. i would say her lectures are quite confusing and inefficient. i learned much of it with my friend and through some youtube videos. so make sure u can self study. LOTS of extra credit, so getting under a B isn't possible if u try and have adequate intelligence 3.0 high school UW GPA, i would say. i
Prof. Breen has high standards, is very enthusiastic about the subject, and assigns quite a bit of work and corrects everything and turns it back to students with great feedback. I learned so much in her class. She makes things interesting and is funny!! Be willing to do things in the way she tells you!
very bad attitude, she hust cut points for no reason, there are no excuses or make ups . once she told us that we have to be dead in order to be excused . if u r late for 10 miniutes ur homework is consider late for one class and should be submitted the next class offcourse she cut alot of points from it. mia is the hard teacher i have ever had.

MiaMary BreenTipton is the same person. She sets you up to succeed. Shares her personal experience in the field. Don't be afraid to ask questions. She wants you to understand. Her group project really helped me learn the material. Sit next to someone who is there to learn, she has you work with a "buddy" to encourage you to figure it out together
She barley goes over the concepts, then assigns 2 hours worth of homework on it, and then we have a test on it. I would not recommend anyone to take her. He powerpoints are the ones that come free with the book.
Mia Breen is an exceptional teacher. She's passionate about the subject and very knowledgeable. I understand why some students don't like her A. she is spunky (which I love) B. she expects you to do your homework and figure out as much as you can BEFORE class THEN she will go into more detail and do it with you. She doesn't spoon-feed you. Awesome.

I never thought that instructors would EVER have to assign homework before even considering teaching the lesson. Wrong. I am taking this class right now and it is terrible in all aspects. Breen's lectures bore the class, especially considering that you already had to self study to do the homework. Save your sanity and do NOT take this class.
Don't see why people rate her so badly. I think she is an excellent professor. She does give chapter homework before she even starts the lessonchapter but, its only to get you to do the work and to actually read so when you go in the next day you have a sense of what she is talking about. And its a great tactic, in my opinion. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Very cool professor. Her teaching style is mostly self-study first then teach, so some people can't get used to it. Her handouts are super helpful and you can learn a lot from that. She is not the easiest accounting teacher in De Anza but she can really help you in accounting. When you move on to 1B or 1C, you will realize how helpful she is!
I took her for 1A, and she was really confusing. She moved too fast for me, in my opinion. I would email her and she would NEVER EVER get back to me. I ended up withdrawing from her class and took 1A with Keith Mello. When I took 1A with Keith I actually did really really well compared to Breen's class.
she has a very sarcastic tone with her students- almost comes across unwelcoming and rude sometimes. As far as her teaching, I feel like her methods are backwards. Online hw is always due first, then manual hw, and we also do exercises in her piggy packet. But I honestly don't feel like I learn much until she does the exercises in the packet.
Overall good professor. Only complaint is that she has an awful system of turning in written homework where she makes students go to the effort of making a copy of each assignment for her which can be time consuming/expensive.
Four midterms (drop the lowest one) and one group project and one final. Manual hw and online hw due before the class. Offering lots of ECs (40pts+). Sometimes she is unreasonable. She will ask questions and pick one to answer. Do not smell to your buddy (group member, she calls them "buddies") because she thinks you guys are chatting to each other
DO NOT TAKE HER. I love her personality and everything. But she gives out too much homework and it gets overwhelming toward the end of the quarter. You read the book before class, and do your homework. Turn it in before class. After she gives the lecture you'll home and do online quizzes and homework. In class quizzes after every chapter.
She is fair! It wont be easy, but you will learn and it will stick. The piggy packets are a life saver! Make sure you study them well, and you will pass the class. She can be a bit mean, but she does not do favorites (at least that I can tell) and is very passionate about her students. I took her for 1 A and 1B and wish i could take her for 1C.

Mia is a pretty awesome professor, she is very clear and she is very fair. She is tough but worth it. It is almost impossible to not get 100% in her quizes category. She gives 9 quizes ea. worth 10 points but you can only get a max of 40 points. It's the same for homework. Just follow her directions and study and you will be fine.
DO NOT TAKE HER unless you're a professional self-learner. WORST professor ever. Nonpractical quizzes and exams even though she hasn't taught us anything in the chapters yet. After the exam, she does lectures on the chapters which are already on that exam. No time to fix your mistakes. Half of class dropped. Feel she doesn't wanna give anyone an A.

I loved her class. I took 1A and 1B with her. She wants students to read a lecture before the class so they can ask questions during a class lecture. We had a lot of practice on her handouts. The same problems that were in the handouts were on the exams also. I wish I could have taken 1C with her also. Lots of extra credit too!
She gives online HW, written HW, extra credit quizzes online, and in-class quizzes for each chapter; however, she caps the points at 40 when 90 are available so it's almost impossible to not get full credit on those. 4 midterms 1 final and she drops the lowest midterm. 1 group project (easy points). Study packet she gives and you'll do fine.

Had her for Acct. 1A, 1B. Her lectures tended to be unorganized, however, read the night before (and actually understand it) and her big idea concepts/explanations will help somewhat. Tests are pretty conceptual, especially in 1B. 1B was much harder, and more in the full force of accounting. Suck up to her since she's the head of department good
Mia Breen has been one of the most influential professors that I have had. It is clear that she has a real passion for accounting. It is this passion that helps spark interest in students! She gives the class plenty of opportunities to do extra credit, which I really appreciated. She went over the course material in great detail. Recommend greatly!
Her class was fine. She gives you a lot of chances to get an A. I often found myself bored in class for going too slow, but it was hard for some students. Shes helpful and wants you to learn. Shes more like a high school teacher than an university professor, so Id recommend her if you have trouble learning accounting.
There are 4 exams, lowest is dropped. Be prepared to do the homework (online and written aspect to it), it helps a lot in understanding the material. HW is 150pts total, but you can get 100 max, so its possible to stop doing hw. Breen is a good teacher; take notes and read the textbook (!). Lots of extra credit, and group project is graded tough.
This teacher has shown discriminatory tendencies to those that are disabled and require commendations and individuals that are transgender based upon her actions. If you fall into either category do not take this teacher because she will make it so you do not pass her class. Filing a grievance against her is highly recommended.

This class is hard. Do all of the extra credit given and you'll be fine. I would recommend taking 1A on campus rather than online if you struggle with the concept of accounting.
The class was okay at first. With all of the extra credit and homework you could get an easy A. But then there came the final. I hate how despite the all of the extra credit she made the final like more than a third of your grade. My advice is take it with someone else!
Hands down the best teacher for accounting on campus. I took her for 1A and 1B and she made accounting very fun, which tends to be a very boring subject overall. Because of that I really paid attention to learning the accounting concepts, and not just to get a good grade. I highly recommend her, especially if you're a business/accounting major
She is a very kind lady. However, she doesnt teach nor show how to solve an accounting problem. She assigns Manual (written) Homework, Online Homework, EC Quiz, all due on the same day. She also assigns homework prior to knowing the lecture.

Four tests, each 100 points ,drops lowest. 9 hw assignments, only grades 6 of them. 9 quizzes, each 10 points but max you can get is 50. One group project 50 points. One final 100 points. Every test and final you have a paper size cheat sheet. Shes a great teacher and grades easy. VERY EASY TO PASS CLASS. You get so much extra credit. Take her!!!!
Took her online and everything is via CengageNOW. She often makes the mistake of having the assignments be due on a different day via CengageNOW and MyPortal. There's a fair amount of quizzes, homework, and she gave us NO guidance whatsoever on what the final would be on.
Lots of homework because she has you do the work on CengageNOW and do manual homework but TBH I didn't do ANY of the manual homeworks (I had 6 other classes/24 units and ZERO time) but I did all the extra credit quizzes and am still passing with a B+ *dabs* Gives LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT. Sometimes gets due dates wrong so always check CengageNOW.
I took this class to learn accounting and that I did. I took it as an online class which makes it a little harder if your use to the traditional style of learning. My advise to you if you are lost in the beginning you wont pass as the beginning chapters are the fundamentals to to the rest of the course. Extra credit and online lectures helps a lot
I'm disappointed in this class because I had to drop it since it was too difficult for me to balance. Taking accounting online isn't the best because you HAVE TO read and learn everything in detail. once you fall behind on a chapter, you won't understand the rest of the material. Did the wrong assignment and she didn't let me resubmit it.
Overall Professor Breen cares about her students, but she doesn't always reply quickly to messages so do not wait until the last minute to contact her. She expects you to put in a lot of time into her class, which is common for ACCT1B. As long as you understood ACCT1A, you'll be fine in this class. Lots of extra credit- DO IT.
This teacher was horrible. I took her online class and it was absolutely horrendous. She has a cengage portal which is fine but she makes you do manual HW and journal things(BY HAND). If you don't do a portion of the problems she straight up gives you a zero. labeling them incomplete. She has not once taught me anything this class.
DO NOT TAKE HER! She is extremely unreasonable. She doesn't know how to teach an online class at all! Cengage does all the work. HW on cengage AS WELL AS manual assignments and a useless project(both huge waste of time) Gives some EC. Most importantly NEVER GIVES ENOUGH TIME FOR TESTS Didn't finish 50% on time too many questions for time given! >:
Reasonable teacher. Only thing she lacked was being clear about the Final & her email responses. Won't reply if she thinks your Q is stupid. Held an A the entire course but the Final dropped me to a C b/c I did the wrong final due to her posting 2 different ones. Claims she attached the Exam grade in email but never did. Take if willing to do work
Accounting by hand. Pretty tedious but enjoyable for some people. She offers a lot of extra credit so there should be no reason to ever fail the class. Her lectures were able to keep me engaged. Just put in the effort.
Horrible teacher of this college. She did not specify that homework was graded on accuracy when clearly she stated it was just participation points. She then accused me of cheating and gave me a zero for all of my hard worked homework. Had to file a complaint against her. The dean knew about the situation but only said to wait for the final grade.
is she not aware we have more classes? she gives a ridiculous amount of hmm that needs to be all written by hand, and if you get one wrong she gives you an 0 which sucks bc her hwk takes a lot of time. Her final exam is absurd gives you 2 hours to do over 100 qs that require math and also accounting formatting. She has a group project that sucks
The class is mainly through Cengage and there's an online and manual hw assignment due every week. There are lots of quizzes (extra credit quizzes too) and she assigns a midterm right before finals week. Recommend for 1A, but not 1B (she assigns a huge group project). I went to the lectures, but it didn't help me understand the material better.

Failed 20 people out of 25 and accused everyone of cheating. Extremely biased toward people who she thinks work hard. Ignores you if she isn't in a good mood, or feels that your question/concern isn't worth any attention. Do not take this class. Save yourself.
She gives a lot of homework and does not teach ANYTHING, so beware. To learn the material, I would recommend going through the book and learning through youtube videos. She does not let you know when the Midterms are. Missed the final because she sent an email the day of the final when I was at work causing me to fail the course. 0/10 teacher.
She is ludicrously awful. Should be fired for how lazily she teaches and how blatantly rude she is towards students. She gives attitude to you if you even so much as struggle to do ANY of the work. She lacks any sense of technological aptitude. Failed nearly the whole class and accuses everyone of cheating. AVOID at all costs. Go to someone else.
No she doesn't really teach and messed up scheduling the manual part of the final. But 13/25 ppl didn't bother to take the online part that had no scheduling issue, what's the excuse? You can drop the lowest MT, skip a couple of each HW and she gives plenty of EC. This isn't lenient enough? It's not hard to do well if you read & do all assignments.
if you want to take accounting 1B, RUN FROM THIS PROFESSOR!!!!!!!!! this professor don't teach you anything. The online class is only repeating the same thing over and over again. MANUAL homework is A LOT and she keeps ACCUSING you for CHEATING even when you're not. Conclusion : DON'T TAKE HER EVER!!!
37 questions of online test + 7 questions (3 pages) of the manual test (30 MINUTES). I couldn't even imagine any teacher could finish this without looking at the answer key. If I could turn back time, I will DEFINETELY drop her class. message from me: run.. Run.. RUn.. RUN...RUNNNNNNNNNN...
got 102% (1A) 104% (1B), lots of extra credit (40 points), she answers your questions in class, must attend at least 5 office hours, tedious manual hw but you learn, do the optional handouts, read the book, open-note/book midterms & final but you likely won't finish, there is a group project, take if you want to learn, she will fail cheaters
This class was a real trial by fire! If you want to challenge yourself this is a good opportunity, not a gentle entry into accounting but you will learn a lot. Professor Breen offers a lot of extra credit though so you do have padding because she is a tough grader and the tests are rough.

Exams are a joke, she gives u 70-80 min to do the midterm, including printing out the pages, and leaving 5 min to turn them in. Wants you to take pics of your written work and put it in one single file and turn it in, in under 5 min. Don't think she understands that it takes more than 5 min to do that, probs because she's decrepit. Te worst. (3)
Does not respond to emails. Ever. She gets paid to do nothing. Logs onto canvas once a week (I checked), grades what she needs to (no feedback), and is gone for the rest. Not sure what she gets paid for. De Anza needs to fire her, she's a waste of space and money in the faculty. Has zero expertise or capability of teaching this subject. (4)
Does not teach. Uses a textbook and someone else's videos for "lectures" if it can even be called that. Assignments are someone else's from online. Nothing comes from her, she has produced zero original content. Once again, she gets paid to do nothing and should be terminated from her position at de anza. ridiculous she still teaches (5)
This was the worst introduction to Accounting. She sets students up for failure on exams giving only a small window of time to complete it's literally impossible. Several students complained and several F's were given. I am a solid student and this class beyond difficult for me. I was riddled with anxiety the whole quarter; an awful experience.

HORRIBLE CLASS lectures and homework split up into twice a week, mandatory physical homework (online class?) I need to print every week since I don't have a printer, does not allow personal research then accuses of cheating, I could list so much more but AVOID HER CLASS AT ALL EXPENSE, I study and do all my work, and I think I'm still going to fail
I'm going to have to add, DO NOT WASTE your money on this course, she doesn't even use her own lectures! I have taken much more 'difficult' classes and been under way less scrutiny than this, doesn't help at all, just says you're wrong and marks your grade down. NEVER Had a teacher/class so horrible, she should be fired. RUN!
The worst professor I have ever had. Took her accounting 1A class online. She doesn't respond to emails! She gives you a mix of online work and paperwork. She will have you print out and handwrite all your answers and then submit a photo. She is the hardest grader! Never accommodating! She doesn't submit grades to Canvas. Awful teacher! STAY AWAY!!
The classes are mostly self-study, with a textbook and pre-recorded videos. The professor is not very engaged and grading is inconsistent. Using unstuck AI and other study tools is a must to do well.

Professor Breen truly wants you to learn, and offers many opportunities to get help from her directly. She has handouts for each chapter that are in addition to the homework, not graded, but VERY useful: there's an audio file (in PPTX) in which she talks you through each step of the process. Timing was tight for exams, which makes you learn!

She literally is just too old and outdated to be a professor. There are these manual sections on exams, and they take so long to print and compile. I would say you lose 5 minutes of exam time just to print adn turn i.n. TAKE ANYONE ELS,E I SWEAR.

Horrendous, terrible, just absolutely terrible teacher. Doesn't leave feedback on anything, doesn't know how to talk to students in office hours, cannot communicate any information properly. She moved our FINAL PROJECT up a whole day without sending an email, the only way we knew was through the Canvas notification. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Her teaching skills are ridiculous and gives you no time to do homework assignments especially if you have a full time job. She doesn't communicate well with students and doesn't emails and makes you do a manual homework assignment which is unnecessary! I don't recommend.
This is the absolute worst professor I've ever had! Grading homework? Forget about it. Grading midterms on time? Forget about it. Oh, getting a response from her through email? FORGET ABOUT IT. I emailed her a total of 12 times throughout the quarter and only got one response. She is very unorganized and very unprofessional. Stay away if you can!!!
Actually ridiculous… I don't know how she still has a job. Doesn't grade half the stuff, so you don't know your grade until the course is over. She makes the office hours mandatory (she spends an average of 2 hrs repeating the same thing so you don't actually learn anything). Needs to fired asap

ok so honestly she's pretty bad. but my biggest pet peeve with her was a)lack of email repsonse and helpfulness and 2) incredibly critique of manual hw. she would be so strict on grading when it came to creating cash flow statements and stuff. she should've gave an outline or something. overall she's a bad teacher. totally unhelpful.

Just a horrible professor. She doesn't answer questions. Had two types of homework a week, one was written, the other online. The written one was all points or none. The same thing with the midterms, one online, one written, there were three, and one of them was on Friday and Saturday before the final. Do not take her.
Failed half the class for cheating :p, maybe only a few did but I for sure did not. Threatened me with my whole future and my transfer to shut up about it lol. Unbelievable. Lectures on holidays, mandatory office hours, midterms class average was 40% at the highest lol. Funny considering I come from an accounting background.
TERRIBLE PROF. gave us a big group project then moved the date up w/o telling anyone. gave us complicated manual hw/midterms and was very picky about how they looked. constantly and I mean constantly without presenting evidence might I add, accused the class of cheating.
Stay away from her. Gives you stress and anxiety. Who gives midterm for weekend just a day before Finals week. Group project was horrible some of them got different project in the same group. Don't get it how it happened if she uploaded to Canvas. She won't reply to emails or inbox msgs on Canvas, if she does, it will be after a month.

This professor accuse people that they're cheating with AI, even if she didn't have any valid proofs. Hand-writing financial statements and adjusted trial balance with the layout and template, and not with a computer/software make it feel like we're in the 1970s or earlier, before the invention of computers..
