Mr. Abram is one the best teachers I've had. Although the class is basically based on how well your memory is, he keeps the class interesting and fun. He also gives you plenty of opportunities to pull up your grade.

Dr. Abram is a great proffessor! He is always willing to help the students and offers plenty of extra credit to help pull up your grade. He's lectures and labs are very clear. Tests can be hard but is all multiple choice, fill in the blank and true or false. Study and you'll be up for an "A"!

He is a nice professor and is willing to help you if you need it. I noticed that he is buddy-buddy with some of his students and I don't think that is right. He told us as long as he sees you try you get an A. I am sure everyone got an A in my class even though some didn't deserve it!

He came to our college which he used to go for two days as a substitute. He is very clear and very helpful. All of us liked him. He is very enthusiastic professor!

BEST teacher you will ever have, do not think even twice, very intresting, will always be there to help. Extra credit, but alot of reading and you will need to get ready for alot of material. hope one day he will teach micro.

Great teacher but he talks FAST so you're best bet is to record his lectures so you can catch what you miss. Very fair!! Offers extra credit for a variety of things. I would strongly recommend him for Physiology!!!!

Dr. Abram is so awesome. he actually knows what he is talking about. I've learned sooooo much from him. He is wonderful very fair. no surprises and the chances for extra credit is endless. his test are easy if you study. he wants you to succeed. My only wish is that he would teach microbiology. omg free us from zitnik

Dr. Abram is an enthusiastic, energetic prof. He is engaging and is always available to help, answer questions and clarify issues. He cares about his students and will help anyone to succeed. My only criticism is that sometimes I wish he would slow down his lectures to allow more time for note taking, and internalization of complex material.

I really liked professor Dr.Abram.He makes us to learn things in a very easy and fun way.I recommend everyone to take his class.

Dr. Abram rocks! I found his anatomy class easier because he gave us take-home tests, & the labs seem hard @ first, but if you study, it pays off. As for physiology, you have to put a little more effort. Highly recommend!!

I HAD HIM FOR TWO SEMISTERS, I TOOK BOTH ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY WITH HIM. HE'S SUCH A GREAT PROFESSOR, VERY HELPFUL, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND ORGANIZED. HE IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE ONLY PROFESSORS THAT WOULD GO OUT OF HIS WAY TO HELP YOU AND VERY GENEROUS WITH EXTRA CREDIT=)

Interesting and fun.

Dr. Abrams is a rare gem. He covers EXACTLY what's going to be on a test, the day before the actual test!!!! He goes over the material pretty fast, so be sure to abbreviate a lot and write pretty fast. Very cool, and all the lessons were pretty clear. Also, if you're struggling w/your grades, he gives PLENTY of xtra crdt opportunities.

Dr.Abram is one of the best instructors Iv'e ever had. He's patient and extreamly helpful. Although his lab tests are challenging, he's so cool he gives so much extra credit activities which makes it impossible to fail his class!! Plus he's a surfer which makes him even cooler!!!

I had this guy for marine biology summer of 2002 and his class was very interesting. he's very clear and prepares you for his exams. very cool and easy to talk to. also very good looking...too bad ladies i think he's married.

Great professor. All lecture exams are take home (I learned more this way) Lab exams are memorization. He offers extra credit and it counts towards every class you are taking with him that semester. Don't skip out early in lab, he does notice and if you need a little help toward your A, that could be his deciding factor! I highly reccomend him.

This is probably one of my fav teachers at OC, he's very helpful and wants you to do good. He's even good at giving advice on interest you, and goals you have. He's the best! And a surfer! lol

He is a great professor, although its a hard class. It take alot of effort and work to get a good grade because there is alot... of work. You will be fine if you study hard.

BESIDES BEING INCREDIBLY HOT HE IS AN ABSOLUTE AMAZING TEACHER. I'M CONSIDERING TAKING EVERY CLASS HE TEACHES. THE MAN COULD MAKE DIRT INTERESTING. He is by far the best teacher i have ever had! I would take him for any class because he is so helpful and really makes you wan t to learn and do well!

Dr.Abram is an amazing teacher, he cares about the subject and more importantly if you understand it. he truely wants his students to succeed. he gives a lot of oppertunity for extra credit, the subject is hard do the extra credit. If you have to take this class take it with him, I had him for physiology as well

Took anatomy and physiology with him, GREAT teacher but is getting harder on students. No more take home tests, and his new in class tests are pretty hard...But overall you do learn alot and hes extremmely knowledgable and helpful.

He is just the coolest guy. I wish he taught more classes.

He's a great teacher! Gives tons of EC to boost your grade. Extremely observant. He will notice if you try hard or not. Has a really, really bad temper if you don't respect him. Don't be late, text msg in class, skip out early, etc.

Earned my BS in Chemistry 14 years ago and last year earned my BSN but still wanted a refresher course in Anatomy. I highly recommend this professor. He truly enjoys the art of teaching. He conveys the message very clearly. I love the fact that he always encourages the younger group of students to try hard to succeed and dont ever give up.

He is BRILLIANT!!! He NEVER gives up on you and always encourage the younger generation to get into the medical field. INSPIRING and helpful in class. He truly enjoys what he is teaching and you will enjoy it too. He has a good aura around him. He should be teaching at a UC. BEST OF THE BEST!!! He made a difficult subject into something FUN!

Mr. Abram anatomy class was the best I have taken. I got an A! Honestly you just study what he tells you and you will pass. You have tests some are take home! He lets you know what is on the labs! He offers extra credit too! But honestly easy class, but you learn alot! Take this class, you wont regret it, great fun teacher! He is really helpful too

He's a great teacher with a passion for teaching and learning. He understands that learning is beyond what the textbook offers. Plus, he cares a lot about his students. He also gives extra credit to boost your grade. But you really have to work to get an A in his class. Taking his class gives you a good foundation you will definitely need.

Mr.Abram is an awesome, funny, laid back teacher. I got an A in his class and before I had taken anatomy at moorpark college and got an F. So he knows how to teach anatomy and makes you learn it because he doesnt want anyone to fail and no one does. He offers extra credit too! He tells you whats on the test so just study and you will do great.

Got an A! Hard subject, but fun to learn. Suggestion: MAKE FRIENDS & STUDY TOGETHER. Take-home tests ONLY if he likes yours class! Tells you exactly what is on the lab practicums, but still tricky. Know your stuff! Key is to memorize memorize memorize and repeat repeat repeat. Offers plenty of extra cred. Make the effort & don't miss class.

Easy A but I didn't feel like I learned enough. I would recommend studying in groups and making sure you know the info for the lab practicums really well. The tests are straight-forward and lecture is interesting

Took him for anatomy & physiology - great professor! Go to class & be on time. Gives take-home tests, tells you what's going to be on in-class exams, & gives plenty of extra credit. Not the easiest class out there, but definately worth taking if it's a requirement for you. If you really want to learn something, TAKE HIS CLASS!!

Professor is unique in his teaching ways. If the student applies himself, there is no reason not to be successful. If the student enjoys engaging with the teacher, class can be a lot of fun. He has high expectations of not only the students, but of himself. He likes pizza too! :) we have learned a lot, and have gained knowledge of all kinds.DO IT!!

the comment about him saying rude things is very true, i dont think that anyone is threating Dr. A! he has spoken to me and made me feel like im lower than him! i walked out his class crying. he does know his stuff i agree! but he does say things that can be hurtful to others!( ME)i appolize if you took what was said in the comment the wrong way!!

He does get mad really easily but he is a good professor 2 take if you want to pass. He wants everyone to succeed so he gives out extra credit. He gives some take home tests and he tells you wat 2 study for. for lab practicums you need to study they are not hard but they are not easy either. he is rude but realistic. prepares you for the real world

I took his Human Anatomy course last semester and am currently enrolled in his Human Physiology course now. Up to this point, I'd have to say that this man is straight to the point with a very friendly personality. He stresses attendance daily, tends to give out take home exams, and prepares you well for the lab practicums. I'd take him again.

Awesome teacher. Lectures are to the point, tests were fairly easy, especially since they were take home. STUDY for the lab practicums. You can get along with his type of personality if you have thick skin. I highly recommended him!

He's AWESOME! Yea, you have to study, ALOT, but if you are serious about getting into medicine you should be studying. Very friendly and willing to answer any questions. Would HIGHLY recommend.

only if this teacher can teach all the science classes. he is awesome,downto earth. easy A, but u still have to put in some time and effort into ur work. i had him for anatomy n physiology. but he can at times go of track n then ur like wtf. but other then that TAKE HIM.u will not regret it i promise u

As long as you study, and put in the effort, its cake. I worked really hard and it pays off. He will give you and in class exam, or surprise you with a take home. Either way he makes sure you have plenty of time to study in and out of class to sufficiently take a successful exam. He just needs to learn to keep his opinion to himself in class.

TAKE HIM for Anat & Physo ! He really wants you to succeed but you?ve got to apply yourself too. Engage (ask questions & participate in discussions) in class and when/if you need a recommendation letter for school/work, he?ll at least 1)be happy to write you one 2) write some good stuff knowing you study hard. He honestly is my favorite teacher of all time! i wish i could take him for every class. He helps you understand everything and anything! I learned so much from him.

Really good teacher & knows how to teach the subject. Helpful in providing material needed for tests & gives extra credit. My class was on Fri/Sat because I worked all week. He should treat his students like adults. He can be extremely rude & disrespectful. As a professional he shouldn't humiliate students in front of his class. Bad form.

Get on his good side and have thick skin. Show up to every class ON TIME. He offers a lot of extra credit due to his lab tests being extremely hard; of the 10+ people I asked, no one passed either of them. Overall he knows the subject well.

He's straightforward about what he wants from students in class. He does say things and then later contradicts what he says. There were a couple students in class that were on his bad side because they were LATE, slept in class, etc. He ended up dropping that student. So dont be late and pay attention in class.Labs are hard so study a lot for lab

Gives out way too much extra credit to pass his class. His tests are tricky especially his lab tests. Study hard for lab tests take lots of notes. You don't really need to take notes for lecture they're so boring and its all in the book anyway. He's a nice guy and caring but can turn into a really mean guy fast.

Great professor, he is one of the best ever. Take home test are difficult and so are the lab practicums which require a lot of studying. He does offer some extra credit, but not a lot. He is a great guy and I highly recommend him.

Can be abrasive and brutally blunt but is still considerate of students' needs. Be honest with him at all times, show up (on time!), read ahead, take notes during lecture, ask questions, and engage him. While he will get tangential during lecture, it is always interesting/stimulating. Be prepared to support your responses with logic and reason.

Off topic all the time. Very opinionated, especially on religion and ethics. Bored most of the time. 4 hour classes with probably a maximum of 1 hr of relevant or pertinent information. All take home exams and notecards on the practicum. Not hard to pass, but I wouldn't recommend it.

He is very opinionated so dont take his class if you are easily offended. He is by far my favorite teacher. Class is always interesting. Tests are all take home exams. You actually learn about anatomy and getting an A isnt hard if you show up to class. Ive taken two classes with him. Dont get on his bad side, hes an amazing teacher.

He's the easiest teacher for science classes. All take home tests and no paper due even though he says you'll have one!!!

The BEST teacher ever! Prepares you for quizzes, tests, and lab practicums! I thoroughly enjoyed his class! He prepares all students to succeed for both his class and life. He always has great input on his lectures and out look on real life. He is funny and helps the time pass, definitely NOT boring! He is fair in grading. Take ALL his classes!

I have taken both Anatomy & Physiology classes with Dr. Abram. He is the best at preparing students for both academic success and real life! His lectures are interesting and enjoyable. He is very funny, but stays focused on his students goals. He reviews for all quizzes, tests, and lab practicums. He grades fairly and goes out of his way to help.

He's a great teacher. Tests are HARD. He can be very rude to students and embarrass them but don't take it personally. Make sure you get the book. Attendance is mandatory. Overall, it is a fun class and you learn so much.

Doc Abram really brought it all together on why all those pre-requisites matter. His lectures are amazing, but be warned, whether or not you are easily offended, he will find a way to get up under your fingernails. The great news is that, he does this to encourage you to think and do some real research. I did his class over Summer and loved it!

Omg this professor is amazing . Because of his take home test method he's the only teacher even after years that I retained what he has taught. No anxiety or stress About timed test taking! Brilliant idea! You are awesome wish we had more teachers like you !

i was hesitant to take him, since i was taking it during the summer & I've heard he's not the easiest, but i ended up passing it! his class is based on memorization! you get a take home test and a in class test based on memorization. drops your lowest grade and gives extra credit. you really need to put in the work for this class in order to pass

Yes, he goes off topic but Ive learned some pretty cool stuff because of this. Hes very intelligent. Can be offensive if youre sensitive or easily offended, I find him funny. Tests arent difficult. But you have to read the chapters he assigns. Lab exams are just like the labs so pay attention. Hes big on participation, enjoys questions.

This is a good class to get a taste of the real world. It's not easy, but doable. If you can't handle this class you should probably rethink you're career choice. If you wanna be comfortable and not lost make sure you read assigned reading, you will get an A gaunranteed.

Doctors, dentists, surgeons, vets, ect... Take someone else. If you just want to be a dental hygienist or RN and be done with it take him. Be ready for inappropriate stuff. In my case I didn't care. He would be an amazing instructor if he tried a little harder.

Overall professor Abram is the best instructor to take for Anatomy and Physiology! He certaintly does sometimes go off topic, but that does not mean he doesn't teach the subject well enough and thoroughly. A solid 10/10 and tests are take-home! Dr. Abram is a great knowledgeable professor. He does go off topic a lot but that keeps the class from falling asleep because obviously there is a lot to take in from physio. Lots of extra credit. Lecture exams were take home which helped me retain a lot of info. He truly cares for his students success.

Participation-show up & stay for lab. Abram is a GREAT prof! He may not be the "nicest" but we're here to learn NOT MAKE A NEW FRIEND. Mostly I and fellow colleagues were headed into the medical field & he keeps it real and STRESSES the importance of learning the basics-afterall u are learning how to save a LIFE in ur career! Tests are take home. Study for lab practicums. He normally won't make you stay in class for more than three hours. Lets you take breaks. Does go off topic but take if you want to get in and out of physio. Offers extra credit, do it and labs are fun.

I learned Anatomy/Physio way more in depth because he lets you take your lecture exams home. Topics you learn are relevant to the MCAT. He welcomes any questions during lecture, explains topics well, and is knowledgeable in a wide array of science subjects. Be respectful (don't be late or use phone) and participate. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend Dr. Abram. I learned so much in his Physiology class. He is clear with his expectations, kind, and a very professional professor. His lecture notes help you be well prepared for his exams. Exams are take home so if you follow your the syllabus, lecture, and assignments you will be well prepared. Very nice and caring towards students. Gives extra credit opportunities. Lectures are good. Sometimes gets distracted during lectures. I would recommend because he understands that this course is challenging and he makes sure that students don't fail.
