He is a good teacher, but like the other comment said, dont take him if you are not at all knowledgable in anatomy an physiology. He does his explaining well. He does review before the test, ONLY if the class kicks up a fuss. But he's very easy going, and a good teacher.

HE IS VERY GOOD, MAKE SURE YOUR READING UP ON THE CHAPTER AND YOU WILL DO FINE.

He is very knowledgable and will gladly answer any questions, however, he is VERY unclear about what will be on his tests. If you don't do your reading, don't bother taking the class.

Big A is the best, would love to have him again. Out going personality and very knowledgable. He makes the subject fun and exciting. If you want a good A&P teacher take him. And YES read before going to class or you will be lost.

He is a great professor. He takes the time to explain to you what he's talking about. His labs are very effective. If you have questions don't be afraid to ask him however many times you want. As long as you keep up with the labs and reading you'll do fine. His tests are a little tricky but nothing he doesn't cover in class.

He's really one of the nicest guys you'll meet. He's not easy, but I don't imagine any A&P class is easy. Only complaint I have is that he enjoys teaching off of an old textbook. Makes studying difficult, because the materials in the old and new text are not the same.

He makes A&P interesting with his examples because he relates the text to events of everyday life which I personally think is very easy. He is absolutely brilliant and knows exactly what he is talking about. If you have hit bad luck with picking good Biology professors you cannot go wrong with this one, I promise. In short just pick HIM <3

He is a cool teacher. Very approchable; helps alot during office hours, especially for your major. The course its self is hard, so if u are not going to study your but off, you will not get a C!!! he is great. if you just listen to his lectures and supplement it with reading (before & after), you'll do great. his exams are so easy. in fact most of the time he deliberately makes the choices very obvious so you can pick out the correct answers.if you're diligent, take him!

He's an amazing professor! I still remember him even now when I'm studying for my nursing classes. I highly recommend his class. I took it over the summer and did a full letter grade better than when I took A&P 1 during a full four month semester. That says a lot. A study group is also very helpful to get through this course.

Had him for lab. He is a funny and intelligent person. What ever he writes on the board is sometimes weird, so you are better off reading the lab textbook instead. His practical exams are exactly what he says will be on it. Just study hard from the lab and you will do fine.

I had Altimari for both lab and lecture last summer. He is one of the best professor in qcc. If you want an A in his class you gotta study study study! Study from text book and notes. It's always good to study ahead of time too. No jokes.

Professor Altimar is a very nice helpful professor who always has time to explain the material. You have to work very hard to earn your grade. Read your notes and the textbook and you should be fine. I recommend him. He is a wonderful human being and I wish more professors were like him at QCC.

His Lab tests are really easy. Very nice guy. He will teach you everything you need for the test. As long as you come to class and study you can get an A in class. Would take him again.

Professor Altimari is really pleasant. Videotape while he is showing and explaining the parts of the different models, memorize them while you keep watching the videos. It will not be difficult because he simplifies the material for you & if you have a good professor for lecture & read the material ahead, they will became familiar to you quickly.

I had P. Altimari for lab and I thought he was great. He was funny and I understood his labs more than I did in my lectures. I strongly suggest recording his walkthroughs for the models and asking for help whenever you need it. He'll take the extra time to go through all of it if you ask. Would definitely take him again.

I have him for lab and he is great. He ends class early and gives you the option to stay back and go over the models or ask addtional questions. For his exams he gives an overview of whats going to be on it. Dont buy the lab book because you'll only use the first 2 labs the rest is all about the models.. this is an easy A lab class. And hes funny

Altimari is the man to take for BIO LAB. He tells you EXACTLY what will be on the exams. No tricks. He makes it near impossible to fail his class. I looked forward to his class every week. You will NOT go wrong with Professor Altimari.

Omg, Take professor Altimari and you won't regret it. I had him for bio301 lab and did so good. If you don't understand something ask him and he'll explain it to you. His enthusiasm for science is the cutest thing ever ! he actually cares and wants his students to pass his class.

Not only is he a caring person with a sense of humor, his lectures were great. Yes, he occasionally goes off on a tangent to talk about his family life and jokes (we all need a breather, right?), but overall his lectures helped me develop a solid understanding of the physiology topics covered. It's a shame that he doesn't teach A+P II.

Seriously a gem! I had him for the spring and summer semester and I absolutely love him. He teaches what you need to know and sometimes goes off topic, but nonetheless he always makes class interesting and fun. I would definitely take again.

I had professor Altamari during my second semester at queensborough community college. That was back in 2015, Im now on my senior year of nursing at Adelphi university & I thank all of my A&P knowledge & everything I achieved so far with nursing thanks to him. He is so well rounded & smart, as long as you listen, youll pass! Definitely take him!

No attendance, always out early, 2/3 exams were take home, final also take home. Easy A, def recommend for Medical Terminology. Often goes off on tangents and he throws in a lot of A&P information that's unrelated to the course, but could be useful if you're planning on taking that course in the future.

You are crazy not taking this professor!! I'll take this professor for any course if i see his name appear. This course is hard in general, If you follow his instruction you can definitely do well.

You need to study mostly on your own. He often goes on rants about other topics, but hes very funny and interesting. Tells you exactly what will be on the exams, but be prepared to study for them! You get no study guides. But this class is soo easy to pass , only graded on the tests btw.

Dr Altimari is an amazing teacher. Very well versed in the subject area. He's down to earth and you feel comfortable going to him if you need help. He makes learning enjoyable and dosen't criticize if you do not understand it. I reccomend taking a course with him.

Professor Altimari is a good teacher. He is very straight forward and his exams are a copy of his lectures. They are a bit hard so study! No homeoworks, only exams. I took him for lecture, which was a smart move.

Professor Altimary is great. Regardless you have to study on your own outside of class but his exams are straight to the point and clear. It is everything that he teaches in class and he gives out review sheets.

This is not an easy class to pass! Professor Altimari does his best to help you pass, especially if he sees that you're putting in the work and studying. He does go off topic sometimes, but it also makes the class a little less dry. That being said, make sure to study alot on your own, looking up flashcards etc. (Psst. Quizlet).
