He's a very inspiring teacher. He makes english not boring, and he's very passionate about his teaching. He'll make you laugh and he talks about issues worth discussing in class. I would highly recommend this teacher. You definately have to work for your grade in this class, but you get to write about things your interested in. *He's good looking.

Angelone is probably the best english teacher I have ever had. His classes are fun and interesting and he lets you write about things you want to write about.

HIS CLASS WAS GREAT. HE HAS A VERY FORWARD THINKING WAY OF TEACHING. SOMETIMES HE GOES ON TANTRUMS AND PERHAPS IS NOT THE BEST WITH TIME MANAGEMENT, BUT I DID LEARN A LOT FROM HIS CLASS AND ACTUALLY HAD FUN AS WELL. I WOULD TOTALLY TAKE HIM AGAIN.

At first seems weird and difficult but its not that bad. 7 response papers (1000words) and a research paper. some easy group quizzes. just read the lois tysons book and your good. you dont have to write about boring literature but instead, whatever you want. pretty funny guy. loves the subject. pushes stuff back a lot.

Great teacher. very easy and explains what he wants in his essays very clearly. i loved the criticl approaches section and it can help with anything you look at in life. definately take this class for an easy A but to learn new views too!

He is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He truly loves what he does and it's clear his passion for teaching. His assignments/homework is pretty easy and if you need help, he is open to do so. I highly recommend him.

Prof. Angelone is great, as long as you come to his class with an open mind and are ready to think! 7 1000wd papers and one research paper. Easy if you pay attention to class discussions and read the critical theory text. He is always willing to help you if you need. If you are super conservative and close minded, you might not like his 301 class.

Angelone is an excellent professor. Take him for any course he teaches that you need to take. He expects you to work, but is very accommodating. Class is fun, interactive and not stressful at all. He doesn't try and force his views through rhetoric onto you, which these days is quite the anomaly. I did the work expected and got an "A" with ease.

A really funny, down to earth professor. He doesn't have essay's planned out and not the greatest at time management, we didn't do one essay, but other than that best English teacher I have ever had. Though sometimes he seems to be more of a stand up comic than a professor.

Has 3 essays. Class is co-taught with reading instructor. He teaches students how to write about the textbook the reading teacher uses in her class. Class is long, 2 hours a day, twice a week. Angelone makes the time go by fast. He is friendly, but expects hard work and organization. Take his class only if you're down for an new experience.

Angelone is fabulous. The B Guarantee is quite a helpful relief and I like the way he teaches bottom down. It makes writing so much simpler. Grammar is the LAST thing you worry about in your essays. Content is the most important. He is and makes class interesting and lively. He is very smart, has interesting points of view, and yes, he is hot. :)

this class is a challenge and that is what i enjoy... I love being brought to a challenge and when he teache's he make's it fun.. and he also makes it intresting. summer classes are by far the hardest and most difficult..but that is all the more fun and challenging. even though there are stuck up kids in the class.

Professor Angelone is an awesome man. He doesn't only the material he is suppose to teach you, but he also challenges the way you think and your beliefs which is pretty cool because it gets you to think deeper and deeper about what you believe in and it drives you to learn more and more which at the end just makes you a smarter person.

If you just want to do a couple essays and not so extreme to the textbook and reading alot then this class is not for you. You got to read the book and apply it to 6 response essays and do 2 presentations in class. Alot of work and challenges your knowledge. but you do get to learn and get somthing out of the class. he requires lots of assignments

he is amazing&&hot. At the beginning of the semester he seems like a hard ass, but hang in there, he's just trying to weed out the people that arn't serious. Yes, theres a lot of work, but it's really worth all the discussion in class. He has very progressive ideas when it comes to teaching. He talks more about critcal theory than "english".

At first, I jumped to conclusions about Angelone, but i ended up liking his teaching style a lot. The essays topics we read in our textbooks were very deep and advanced and that's what i liked about it. I liked the topics in this class better than the topics in 302 (the class after). Thought provoking and he was a nice guy!

This guy is awsome. Take this class and you will learn how to write on a college level. If you listen to what the man has to say then he will blow your mind! I would take his class just for fun if I had the time. Just complete all of your assignments and you will pass with at least a B. The work is not difficult in the least. Take the class!

Ever since high school I have hated English, but after I took Angelone, I have been a new outlook on English.This class was actually my favorite of the semester. He is not a traditional English teacher. What I was taught transcends into every other aspects in my life.

I loved his class!!! He made my whole day. He was very enjoyable to listen to, very funny and would go out of his way to make sure you understood and were doing well. He even edited my paper for a different class!!!

This class was very interesting and fairly easy. Challenging if you didn't take him for 300 and don't already have an understanding of literary theory. I think he's an easy grader. Keep up on discussions early so you aren't scrambling for them toward the end.

This is not your traditional english class. I have always hated english class and writing essays. Professor Angelone makes the class interesting and he focuses on the subject of your essay. Don't get me wrong if your grammar and spelling is wrong it will cost you. But he is real trying to make you a more effective writer and thinker.

I absolutely LOVED this class. Prof. Angelone is one of the best English teachers I have ever had! There were three essays, five quizzes, and A LOT of discussion boards. Prof. Angelone explains things in a way that makes you want to learn. He is Mr. Cool Calm and Collected and he brews beer! Mike makes literature fun. It was a chill environment that was focused on the students developing their own ideas. Learned some research skills and will always appreciate reading Campbell. If you have a chance to take a class with Mike do it.

I actually ended up having to drop the class, but it's probably the one class that I'll always be sad I dropped. Prof. Angelone has a very down-to-earth style of teaching, and he's very approachable, going out of his way to help me when I was struggling. However, he does tend to get off topic fairly quickly and he's not always clear with due dates.

One of the best teachers I've ever had! Makes class fun, although it was sometimes pointless to go since we just talked majority of the class, it was enjoyable. Essays are a bit challenging but he tells you exactly what he wants on the essay. I would recumbent him to anyone! no homework, only quizzes but you get credit just for doing it.

If you get a chance take him in class rather than online. I took both 300 and 301 online and although I learned a lot, I regret not taking him in class, I would have learned so much more. He is the best professor there! The way he gets into the subject is mindblowing. If he sees you try, his feedbacks will make you want to do better! take him!! :)

Professor Angelone is the best so far. He's very helpful, passionate and hilarious. He will give you a series of assignments as discussion on d2l. All of these prompts leaded me to write essays easily. He cares students learning and help a lots. He will make a boring class to fill with a fun too. I can't expect any better than him.

Great professor. Was very funny and kept the class engaging and interesting. If you read the books and do the discussion boards with diligence, it will greatly help you when writing the essays assigned. The books he assigned were also interesting as hell. I don't know why some people would even complain about this guy, he's a great teacher.

Most english teachers haven't figured out how to *teach* writing. Or if they have, I've never seen it. They're fine at grading it. They have rubrics and metrics galore, no trouble identifying good writing from bad writing. But I've never once seen someone explain how to create good writing. Well Angelone is the exception to that. Best at ARC.

The class itself it's challenging but its fun at the same time because he's hilarious! even at 4:30 in the afternoon hes got plenty of energy to go around. Homework is fair. He is very clear. Responds back asap if you need held or feedback. Great teacher! Some of the psychoanalytic stuff was tough but I made it through.

Very enthusiastic and passionate about teaching. Unlike many other teachers, he encourages you to think outside the box. His lectures can sway off topic, but you still learn a lot of random things that are linked to the main idea. I really enjoyed this professor because there was never a dull moment!

Angelone is hands down one of the best professors at ARC. His expectations are are simple and says "It's in the syllabus". I must say his teaching method was a bit unconventional for me at first, but I warmed up over time. I have never been a very confident student when it came to English, but he took time to help me with my essay and helped me to really grasp concepts completely new to me. He is the funniest English professor I have ever taken. You have 3 books to read and discussion posts that helps you tremendously in writing the 14 page paper. Also, he is always there to answer you questions and confusions. The 14 page paper might sound scary but he gives you a lot of time to think and write about it.

Great teacher. His lectures alone gave me the push to write outside of my comfort zone. It can be a little tedious at first but after a few weeks it's pretty easy. PS The ones who leave negative feedback are lazy. He tells you straight up what to do every class period.

He really teaches like it's a grad school lecture. Everything is big picture; how it relates to everything else as far as the humanities go. A ends at 95% but if you do everything you really shouldn't worry about it. Everything in this class is about reading commentary. Gr8 if ur excited about heuristics, comparative literature, and literary theory

Professor Angelone is definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had. He's caring for the students and actually wants you to succeed. Yes there is a lot of reading but if you do read the required material, it will help you tremendously when it comes to writing the essays. Heads up: He's a total goofball!

I thought it was going to be crazy hard because of all the assignments. The teacher was super understanding and always moved deadlines when we asked him too. This was a great class, but a lot of work. We read 3 novels, an essay and 1-3 discussion boards for each novel, as well as weekly discussion boards and weekly written quizzes on the critical theory book (textbook). He gives you thoughtful discussion boards to respond to, interesting books and gives really good feedback to help you grow as a writer.

Professor Angelone is by far the best professor I have ever taken. He truly cares about the success of his students and actually teaches about interesting stuff. Hes very laid back and has very interesting class discussions that make you actually want to go to class!

Really funny and helpful professor. At first his constantly distracted chatter is annoying, but after a while you learn to appreciate him and laugh at it. He is really caring and wants you to pass. Just read the books and do the discussion boards and you'll be fine. There is a 15 page paper but it writes itself if you do the discussion boards well.

Prof A is hands down the best English prof I've ever had. For this class all you need to do is read 3 books, write discussion board posts for each chapter &a final 3,500 word essay at the end of the semester. He is super funny, & really hot! He is really helpful when you need help with what to say in your essay and grades very fairly. TAKE HIM!!

Overall he is a great professor who makes class very interesting. A very funny guy that has lots of personal experiences that he shares that he relates to the coursework. Overall had a great time in his class would definitely take any class that he teaches.

Angelone is a professor that is very passionate about what he does. He puts in maximum effort to make his lectures interesting. He is very helpful and understanding. As long as you read the 3 books he assigns and do the discussion boards, don't even worry about the research paper at the end of the semester, you will write it in a heart beat.

Angelone is amazing! He is caring and pushes you to think outside the limits and give you space to work on your own. If you ask for help or advice he's there. Books are affordable and not too hard to read. There is a 14 page essay but by the end seems like a breeze. Strait forward not a ton of HW. One of my fav classes. 100% taking again!

This English class is nothing like you would expect, in a good way. Professor Angelone is the single best English teacher I have ever taken. He engages with his student in a way that makes them want to learn. Read the book and do the discussion boards and the essay at the end of the semester wont be a problem. 10/10 will always recommend!!!!!

He's a really great professor who cares about getting you a good grade. He's funny and keeps the class interesting with fun discussions. While there are not a TON of assignments, the assignments can be big. You have to read 3 books and have 1 essay which is 14 pages long.

I took his online summer course last summer, amazing class! Beware, if you struggle with English this may not be the class for you. Requires some critical thinking, because Angelone is a lot like my English professor for 101 & 300, this class was easy for me. Follow instructions carefully, think through the essay prompts and you'll be fine.

Prof Angelone is one of the BEST English professors I've had. I had a tough semester and at one point was really behind in the class, but I saw him during his office hour and he gave me all the time I need to catch up on my discussions, quizzes and essays. I got lucky to have him this semester, definitely take him whether you're good at ENG or not!

I took him for 300 and 302. I actually learned a lot from him. He makes you write a lot for the discussions, quizzes, and essays. If you do the work then you have a great chance of passing. I love that he encourages us to incorporate our discussions and quizzed into the essays. No pop quizzes ever.

His expectations are clearly communicated in class and he even follows up with reminders on Canvas. The class consisted of discussion boards on three books, a final paper, and some extra credit. If you do all of the required work and put in a little effort then it's an easy class. Classes are laid back and enjoyable.

Prof Angelone's 300 & 302 online class syllabi is very straight forward. You read a chapter, write a discussion, and take a quiz. You will also write 2-3 papers on the books you read. I can honestly say that I am sad to be done with english after taking his classes. If you are into expanding your perspectives, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Gives you easy discussions on the book you read online, he doesn't take attendance but knows who shows up and cares about the class. Do the discussions on time, very chill dude, I love him gives amazing stories to tell, office hours does help amazingly I would take him if you are looking for an easy class to balance with the tough classes 10/10

Best english teach I have had yet thus far. Straight forward. If you do the work and take the time on your papers you will receive an A. He tells you exactly what to expect.

Angelone is one of the best english professors I've had. If you do the discussions you get full credit for them I believe. Clear about what he wants and if you do the reading and pay attention to what he asks there is no reason you shouldn't pass. Loved his lectures as they were useful in many ways outside of class as well.

This is my first semester in college and im SO happy I decided to take him! Hes a really cool guy who understands that people have a life outside of school. Hes very lenient as long as you do the work. Communication is key in his class. His lectures arent even really lectures, just funny rambles lol. Hes a prof That wants you to succeed.

I have always been a better reader than rate and this is my first writing professor that inspired me to do better. There is a discussion and quiz every week which he helps you answer them and 2-3 papers based off the theories taught. He get distracted a lot, especially when excited, but I will be taking him again for 302

I had professor Angelone for English 302 online. This was class was really rewarding and an easy class. All online and 3 essays total about 4-5 pages long. Read 3 books and all books were very interesting and good reads! I learned a lot from this English class and would HIGHLY recommend Angelone as a professor.

He is one of the professors who love their job and come to the college to teach students what they need. English is my 4th language and Michael made it seem like it is the easiest thing ever. I never read a whole book in my entire life, but now in two semesters i read around 6 books. I would recommend to get him without hesitation

Angelone is a really good professor. He really cares about his students essay and he reads them thoroughly and he comments or gives feedback on how we could improve our essay. If taking online there is around 10-12 discussion board and 3 essay, but I dont know if thats going to change. Amazing professor. Recommend!

I personally dont care much for English classes but this teacher is a must if you really want an honest and caring teacher to push you through! This is my first time ever rating a professor but im glad to say Professor Angelone is the first. He clearly loves what he does and I felt that I had the freedom (even within the criteria) to write about what I was passionate about and he was down for that! 12 discussions and quizzes to go with them and 3 2,000 word papers. Its really not hard!

Professor Angelone is interesting. I honestly didn't think I would get an A in his class but I love to write so it seemed easy. I think if writing papers are not your thing, you may struggle. He seems to be a bit critical if you don't put a lot of effort into your work. Other than that, his class was okay.

Great professor who actually wants you to succeed in his class. Gives great feedback on essays. There are 3 essays, each you have to write 2000 words for. The prompt is clear, always. Pretty easy if you just read the book. He allows you to take the tests for the book with it open. There is no time limit. Interesting class, made me a better writer!!

A truly outstanding professor. He is willing to work with students on deadlines and is incredibly understanding. The three essays can seem a little intimidating but he is a very generous grader and will tell you exactly why you received the grade you did.

I took his class for my general education credit on my first year of college there, his lectures are amazing, he helps you when you needed, in his class you will get a checklist of all the things you'll need to do your research for one big project so that's helpful and no textbooks unless you want one i guess.

Professor Angelone is possibly the best professor I've ever taken. He definitely motivates his students to do their best work and is 100% understanding. The books he has chosen were very knowledgeable and inspired critical thinking. Would take his class over and over again.

This class was not really a class but Angelone is super chill and easy to work with. Have to work with the rest of the class if you really want to gain anything from it, but there are plenty of people who dont show or participate though some is needed if you want to pass. The work is easy so just attend meetings where you can and communicate.

I took the summer six weeks English class, and the class is very easy. Two books to read, four discussion post per book, one essay and quiz per book, so total up is 2 essays, 2 quizzes, 8 discussion posts. And that's it, the workload is really small and it is completely manageable for a six week course. Easy to pass! The professor is really nice.

Prof A is the best! Yes, you have to read and you have to write 3 papers, but the books are awesome and make it easy to write! I am planning on taking him for another ENGW. I got the pleasure of running into him at my work and he was just as awesome! He gives great feedback and directions. TAKE HIS CLASS, if you fail it's on you, he is the GOAT!

Angelone has the chillest and straightforward class ever. He's helpful with feedbacks on your writing. A little bit of work but that's going to be easy peasy if you read the book. The book that he had this semester was great and kinda therapeutic for me. OVERALL, great prof, great class and yall should take him.

I was scared because English isn't my first language, and we read about something I'd never heard of but glad about how it ended. 1 book, which can be found online, a weekly discussion & quiz, and 2 papers because the last one was extra credit, didn't take away points.

One of the best Professors I've ever had! Be prepared to read but the book was very interesting and not boring. He was not a tough grader, gave great feedback! Also took the time to help me for hours on the phone multiple times. Weekly quizzes but were super easy, so don't panic! We had like 2 tests. I enjoyed this class so take him for ENG! :)

He is one of the best professors that I ever had at ARC. Whenever I had any questions he was available by email and other means of communication. He went out of his way to provide great feedback. I took this class online and when grading my essays he even went through and created a video for me reviewing what I did.

Prof A is awesome. Weekly quizzes and discussions, only 2 essays. It seems overwhelming to learn about all the different critical theories at first, but he makes it easy. He gives a lot of really good feedback on essays and really helped me improve. He's pretty flexible with deadlines and is always willing to work with you. Best prof ever!!!

Angelone is a very good instructor hes always so open and honest with you and is a very blunt instructor. He wont sugar code you what you did wrong. Having said if you have a learning disability like me 303 isnt your best bet after 300 just stick to 301 in that case. But dont worry its not hard and is still manageable.

Professor Angelone was a great English Writing Professor! I would absolutely take him again. His class was not too time consuming but I still learned a lot about how to become a better writer. He doesn't make you just write long essays, it is more about learning to write. He gives really good feedback and wants you to do well!

Discussion boards, 10 question quiz, and one other reading assignment. Nothing crazy can be somewhat time consuming depending on the assignment. Only have to write one 2,000 word essay and then you have a short answer and multiple choice final.

I took all my English classes with him. He is one of the supper heroes in ARC, very knowledgeable, intelligent, caring, lovely and respectful professor. He helps you finish your classes with A+ grade. All his homework are in lab class and helps you finish your assignment. He is there for you when you are straggling.

just finished a 8 weeks semester with Professor A and by far the best professor he's really cares about his student average course,lots of reading, but managable you just need to put in the work and you'll pass with flying colors. All quizzes answer are on the book, he just want to make sure you are reading the book. Take him, its an easy A class.

So. Much. Reading. But I found the topics to be interesting, which definitely helped. His feedback is very constructive, and I noticed a substantial improvement in my writing. Word of warning, you CAN NOT procrastinate, especially with the later assignments.

Great professor, he's very nice and understanding. The work is meant to challenge you but it's not too difficult to do and is really insightful. Most classes are just lectures but he makes them fun! It's like he's talking to us not at us like most professors :)

I can only describe this professor in one word: cool. He's informative, and his lectures are fun and easy to follow which makes his lectures more unique. His grading is fair and gives good feedback as well as being quick to respond to your emails. Recommend him and would take his classes again. You won't be disappointed if taking his courses.

Professor Angelone's class is chill with helpful feedback. The textbook is great, and the weekly work is manageable. Attendance is mandatory but worth it - Unstuck ai was a lifesaver for prep!

Tip: Be diligent and work with integrity. He doesn't evaluate your work for perfection, but your effort. English is my second language but I got an A+. All the tests were reading tests and you just have to quote the author. It's a lot of reading, but it's an English class, you'll survive! All the good reviews about him here are true.

Every week consisted of reading one chapter from the book. Each chapter focuses on ONE critical theory. Your weekly assignment was to a discussion post on the theory and a literary work of your choice that you can apply this theory to. I took the class this summer, and the work was accelerated. We read 2 Non-Fiction books. What was refreshing was that Prof Angelone would challenge you to engage with the writing and to write well. He gave meaningful feedback and was quick to respond to questions.

Prof. Angeline was a solid professor, the class if self paced and easy to follow. You will needed to read material but as long as you follow directions and actually read the material (not skim it) you'll do excellent. He's one of those professors i'm convinced won't fail you if you actually try and give him something that's relevant to the topic.

The lectures are packed with great information from the textbook and personal insight. It really helped me get to the next level with my critical thinking skills.
