Not too bad a teacher. The class could have been more interesting. Too much time was spent on cramming notes, not all things were thoroughly explained.
He's so boring and gives lots of notes. He doesnt actually explain, rather he just reads his notes as lecture.
Students can expect to be treated to excruciatingly long lectures that he gives from his personal set of handwritten slides. You will find yourself being inspired by the textbook and absolutely traumatized by his long windedness. BORING++! His temper is also poor (much like an ****'s). Very unprofessional. I recommend Michalewicz instead.
its hard to understand what hes talking about, when your trying to copy down the notes he gives us in class. completely boring and dry lectures. Too bad the teacher has such a great passion for biology yet cant be complemented by his teaching skills.
JUST READS FROM HIS NOTES, NO EXPLANATION AND DOES NOT LIKE TO BE QUESTIONED. TESTS ARE RELATIVELY EASY IF YOU SPEND ALOT OF TIME RESEARCHING HIS NOTES AND ARRANGING THEM IN SOME KIND OF ORDER THAT MAKES SENSE. HIS NOTES ARE OUTLINE- STYLE BUT PRETTY USELESS. YOU HAVE TO RESEARCH EVERYTHING AND RE-WRITE THE NOTES WHICH TAKES ALOT OF TIME.

It's a tough class, but the professor is pretty straightforward in what it takes to get a good grade. You will get the grade you deserve. I have and will recommend this professor.
I was dreading this class but Professor Aretakis made it quite manageable. He is a bit uptight to start off but warms up by the end of the semester. Lectures are dry; his notes are not organized well but the exams are easy. I would recommend this professor to anyone that needs an A. Professor Aretakis is the best choice for patho micro!
Microbiology is a totally boring subject, so it's a difficult class to teach. Professor Aretakis makes the subject as interesting as it can be. He has a good sense of humor (I was worried bec I read comments he has a temper- Not true!). Be respectful in his class. This guy is a great source of help, you just need to ask q's. Hot in an older guy way
Prof. A has little "things" that bother him...he tells you up front, so no reason to upset him. He gave our class copies of his notes. Whether you get copies or you're writing.,..study the material and know it and you'll do well in his class...very fair. I found subject material interesting and was never bored.
overall hes a good teacher. he doesent joke around very much, but hes very smart on the subject matter. lectures can be boring but are relevant to the material. all his test are on class notes. easy to get perfect on all labs if you do them. lecture tests are kinda hard but study the notes and you should do just fine. would certainly recommend him.

Not a bad teacher, but he gets irritated way to easy if you ask a question, almost like he doesn't like anyone to ask questions. He drums on and on in a monotone voice which makes his lecture hard to follow and extremely boring. Thank God for the text which better explains what he confuses people on. Just finished this class. Got an A. Prof is extremely fair. Added extra points to the total because some people were struggling. The beginning of the class is rather dull becasue it is all cell structure but it gets better ..just hang in there. Would take a class from him again for sure!

Great teacher. He knows his subjects and teaches them well. He cares about the students and is there if and when you need him during his office hours. 99% test from notes. Boos as reference. I recommend him for any class he teaches.
Awesome teacher!! Just took his 2730 class this summer. He truly cares about his students. He gives extra credit. 99% of his test questions are in the notes.. Would definitely take another class of his.
Just got done taking his BIOL 2710 class. It was very difficult although it was not the teacher's fault. His lectures are long and dry and the labs are basically up to you to do all the work. However, he has a great passion for teaching and is very helpful when you come up to him and ask for his help. If you attend class and STUDY you'll do well.

Very fair professor for BIO 2730. Tests are based mostly off the of lecture notes so if you attend class and take good notes you will do great. I barely ever used the book and did well on all the tests. Lectures tend to be long along with the labs but overall it was a good class.
Boring, and does not explain well. He admits to getting confused himself..
Very hard teacher. Does not give you anything to help you study for test and then when you fail. He has a smile on his face. He gets upset when you interrupt him when he is lecturing. I am so thankful that I am getting a better teacher for winter term. I definitely would not be taking him for any other classes I am required to take.

just taking biol 2710..this stuff is hard..teacher is cool if you want an A you have to study but from his notes which makes it easier!!!
Alot of his exam questions are T/F and tricky. He can be extremely rude as well. I would not recommend him.
In this class the first test class average was a 60%. He actually gave us extra credit so we could up our grade. i went from getting an E to a solid B in this class. The teacher really cares. Now thats not saying you dont have to study, because you do. I practically studied about 10 hours a week, but I passed
Had him for accel. A&P in summer...took me a while to get into swing of things and ended up with a B+. Microbiology I earned a solid A. He had difficult tests but if you put the time in and really study his notes you will do well. One of my favorite profs. Show him respect and he will do the same...he does care about his sutdents!
The only books you actaully need for the class are the Lab Manual and the Lab Objectives. Other than that, it's a waste of money to buy or rent the main text book. The quizes are from his notes.. READ THEM and STUDY! USE your lab time. He's very monotone and reads exactly from his notes. Try and stay awake. Other than that he's alright.
Loved Aretakis, everyone in my class thought he was boring, but i think he was a great teacher, you just have to take notes...once in a while he'll give out the notes. He also gives out study guides sometimes. There are like 5 assignments but they are all pretty simple.If you study the notes and the study guide you'll deff get an A in the class. :)
Although Prof Aretakis advises class he uses his lectures notes for exams, it is very helpful to read the textbook to understand concepts discussed (review end of chapter notes and Figures/Tables). You must be willing to do work and put in the effort to get a good grade. Also had him for BIOL 2710.
Was a great teacher. As long as you put in the time studying, you could do well. Really helpful as far as the lab portion of the class.

He made the class a lot harder then it was should been. He is a very interesting professor but the class was way too much work. He wasn't clear when he grades papers on what you did wrong to receive that grade. You wont need the book. We did not touch it once the whole entire semester. He hands out notes, lots of them.
He is one of the best teachers for the science department. He cares about his students, otherwise he wouldn't give extra credit to improve your grade. He is better than any other science teacher at Macomb. Gives you notes in lecture, and everything there is on the test with no tricks like some other teachers; takes time to explain lab also
He's a really nice teacher. He always had funny stories to tell during lecture. His notes are a bit hard to go with because they're in his handwriting and they're not in order... He gives extra credit which is greatly needed because his lecture tests are confusing. You don't need the textbook because you never use it, but lab manual is a MUST!
He was sooooo boring. His notes were terrible...and very unorganized. He spoke in monotone, I needed coffee to stay awake...

Took for a/p class it is a hard class I spent at least 2 hours everyday studying. Book is not needed although you could share with someone in your class. I was able to get an A- working full time but only class I took. Good prof able to help would recommend.
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!!He is so mean to all the students who only try to ask a question in his lecture and if he doesn't get away by ignoring you. He hands out packets the size of books for notes that he hand writes, hes sloppy goes back and forth, not in order, and gives the whole class 5/10 avg on definitions like we are illiterate.
Horrible teacher, very difficult lecture exams. He hands out lecture notes that are 15+pages (front & back) per chapter and hardly non of the information is on his lecture exams. You pretty much have to study solo because he lecture notes are not helpful for the exams. He also gets offensive when a student asks a question. Lecture book is not used.
This professor is not approachable at all. Lecture notes are hand written and extremely sloppy. He gives no help and has a very tough grading system. He makes this class a lot harder than it needs to be. If you need an A to get into a program, I would not take his class.
His lecture notes are handwritten and often hard to follow. He does not review any part of the notes in class and just picks up right where he left off the previous class session. His grading scale is based solely on the 8 exams so if you do poorly on an exam, there is not any other way to bring your grade up besides the few 3 point EC assignments
Professor is a cool guy. Tells stories on top of stories. Lectures don't line up with study notes. Lecture notes are 20 pages+ sometimes, and are handwritten (hard to read at times). This class should be split into 2 semesters. Too much info for a 16 week semester.

If you're you need a high grade for a program with selective admission, pick another teacher. ANY other teacher. Exams are based on his messy, handwritten lecture notes. He needs to split the exams up. 2 scantrons, 6 chapter exams are too much.
Worst teacher I've ever had! He doesn't not want to answer your questions. He thinks he's always right and is too good to help anyone. His tests don't line up with his lectures and his grading is messed up. He's very boring and monotone. Don't take this teacher, it's almost impossible to get a good grade.
I loved Mr. A. I took him for A&P and Microbiology and would recommend him. His notes are hand written and hard to read, but once you get used to them, they are very helpful. He gives study guides for all lecture and lab exams that contain all of the test material. There's only homework for the labs that is due every couple of classes.
He was a great professor. If you are not there to fool around, and take his class seriously, you will do absolutely fine, if you study and put an effort into his class

I had Professor A for BIOL-2730 over the Spring Semester 2015. Take this in the fallwinter so it's not so hectic. The course material is difficult. He however is a great teacher. He passes out notes which are very clear, and he teaches and tests off the notes. The text book is really for additional reference. Stay atop the studying to do well.
I had Professor A for fall 2015. Since his notes were handwritten and almost impossible to read, I asked if he could type his notes. He had a student do them and sometimes they didn't match. I saw Professor A after every lecture class in his office for better clarity of the subject, however, if you don't understand his way, good luck.
This professor is very intelligent but believes everyone else should be too. He is teaching a class with no required pre requisites and expects students to know what he's talking about. He is impossible to approach and then talks down on you and embarrasses you when you don't understand. I would not recommended this professor at all. Thumbs down!

I had Professor A for Pathogenic Micro Winter 2016. This is not an easy class so don't expect to have easy professors. He is serious and helpful for those that put forth the effort. Ask questions. He gives his own notes and study guides. Tests come from his notes so study the notes DAILY, do all the work & you'll do ok. I got an A from this class.
This professor is very intimidating until you begin to understand him. He is a great teacher and you can see the passion he has for this subject. He has kindness for those willing to learn. He shows a different attitude to those who slack off. The course is tough. If you're not willing to study hard, drop out of college.
Great professor, 4:150 point lecture exams, 4:60 point lab exams, 14 lab assignments worth 10 points each. Up to 25 points extra credit. Love him! He will treat those who don't seem to care with much less respect, but is wonderful for those who want to succeed. He's tough and so is the class, but this class is needed for a tough career so work hard
I had Mr. Aretakis for pathogenic micro & liked him so much that I took him again for A&P. Neither class is easy, but not impossible if you put the work in. He knows who is there to learn & who is there to just be lazy and not care. He may not seem like it, but he is invested in your success. Don't be afraid to talk to him.
Great teacher. I took him for micro and A&P. Yes, he has handwritten notes, who cares. He gives review guides for all the exams and questions are from his notes. If you're there to learn, he's great. I've never had a problem with asking him questions. I recommend him!
I had Mr.A for both A&P and Patho Micro. He is a Great Teacher. His exams in both classes come striaght from his note packets he gives you. Gives helpful notes & handouts for each chapter in lab and lecture. Study daily, know his notes, attend each class & you will do just fine. He offers extra credit and gives study guides for each exam. Take Him!

I liked Professor Aretakis. He was fair and his test are straightforward. He doesn't try to confuse you. With that being said if you don't study you will fail, if you study you will pass. MY only beef with his class was the abundance of sloppy handwritten notes. Never take out your phone during class, you'll regret it.
Had him for 6 wk spring course, slightly brutal pace. Plan to live micro at that pace. He's no nonsense, straight forward, gives fair tests with extra credit. I liked him. He's approachable, but can be condescending if you are late or ask dumb question, which was fine by me. NEVER TEXT IN CLASS! Lab was fun. Be thorough on lab objectives.

Great professor! I was unsure about him at first but as time went on I realized he was just holding us to the highest standard. Go to class, be engaged, ask questions and do your job as a student! Put everything you have in you into learning the material and you'll pass and earn this mans respect!
As the semester went on I learned to appreciate Aretakis and was able to look past his attitude. He just is tired of students who are not serious, which I can understand. His notes are handwritten, so be ready to rewrite or type them to make more sense. Tests are hard because he asks small details. Lab exams are easy if you go to lab.
Before taking his micro class, I heard he is really mean to people and talks to you like youre stupid. Thats not the case. Im taking micro right now, and the only people he is rude to, are the people that either dont pay attention and then ask lots of questions after or people that dont care and are lazy. If you care, he is a good professor.
He was incredibly hard the first few weeks of class but, like others have said, I think this is done on purpose to get the students who are not serious to drop. Once some people dropped he got better and I would take him again. He does not put up with nonsense from the students. Come to his class and work.

He comes off as very intimidating but I honestly enjoy him as a professor. Very strict against phones. He gives you lecture packets that has all the material you need to know for the lecture exams. He is knowledgable and he always tells stories. He is very helpful too if you ask him for it. This is overall a tough class, so study study study.
Prof. Aretakis is one of my favorite professors I've taken. As long as you put the work in, he'll respect you. If you act like you don't care, he will humiliate you in class whenever he can. You don't need the textbook but study the handouts hard, take good notes, and DON'T MISS CLASS (or lab). He truly cares and wants you to succeed.
He had quite the attitude with every student in the classroom. Labs were easy especially if you showed up, but even after reading every chapter for every test over and over his tests were impossible.

this professor is tough but wants you to do well. His tests are for, the most part, all matching and true & false. The lecture and lab exams were pretty easy!! His lectures are long and you only need to study the noted he gives you in class. In lab, the objectives assigned must have every little detail or hell mark the question wrong.
Great professor. You really need to work hard and attend class. Do not be on your cell phone because if you respect him he will respect you. It is pertinent to do well on tests. I received A's on almost all assignments and due to one C+ on a test it brought my grade automatically to a B+ instead of an A-. These tests are worth a lot.
Professor A is a great choice. This is the second time I have had him and I really like his teaching style. He makes the notes and you study from there and other things he gives. If you skip and dont care he wont help you. If you show interest he will see that you care. Great professor!

Worst professor I've ever had! I have been a full time student at MCC for 3 years now and I have never dreaded a class like I did this one! I love Biology but this teacher made everything more complicated and his explanations were super confusing. He doesn't use canvas and his lectures are only hand-written notes. Would not take him again!!!

This is not an easy class so expect to work HARD. There are 4-150 exams, 3-60 lab quizzes, 1 lab unknown (easy if you follow steps) 14 lab objectives (make sure you THOROUGHLY answer). Tests are straightforward from his notes. He gives lots of extra credit and tells interesting stories. He's pretty strict about phones. JUST STUDY MATERIALS ON TIME

I respect Professor Aretakis. His teaching style is very old-school and gives you handwritten lecture notes to study off of. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and has been teaching for a very long time, with that being said if you do not put in the time and work to understand the material you will fail. This was a very difficult class.
Dr. Aretakis is one of my favorite professors. I really appreciated his lecture. He always tells us great stories that are related to our lecture so we can weave together. His hand written course material covers all important things that we should know, and I loved them! He truly cares students with his strict ways and want us do well.
Worst professor I have ever met! He will make you feel stupid in front of everyone and anyone and make you feel very uneasy. Definitely causes people to become more stressed and anxious. He acts as if hes your dad or something by the way he will just yell at you. Does not know how to say things in a respectful way at all! Very unhappy.

He takes points off from the lab objectives just because he didnt see the only word that he wants to see even if you write like ten pages he will mark it wrong. He hands his unreadable notes that doesnt make any sense because its hard written by him since 2013 . Overall the worstttttttt.
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. He is an awful grader, if you don't word things how he wants them he will mark you down for it. He does not elaborate on anything, his lectures and his tests are so hard I think the average grade for our class was a C-. Tests are over 7+chps each, 130questions and the material he gives you to study wont be on the test.
Best professor I've taken. He is not easy, so if you do not take the class seriously, he will not take you seriously. His tests are exactly like his notes. He truly cares about his students and wants the best for them. Any biology coarse with any professor will be difficult. It about time management and actually going over the material on your own.

At first I thought I hated this guy , he is super sarcastic . But overall he actually is very nice and wants everyone to pass. This is a hard class , you have to put in the time to study. Stick strictly to the study guide when studying and you will get an A on the exams !
This class was hard I mean hard! all the points are from your exam ! we only got 15 extra credit point. His outlines that is given is not very helpful. the test are hard ! Lab test are easy worth 60 point. Make sure you answer lab throughout to obtain all your points. EVERY POINT COUNTS. The exam are worth a 150 there 4 exams. HAND written notes
At first he seemed to be very harsh. As you go on through the semester youll really get the like the guy, hes very respectful towards his students if he sees that you put in the effort. His exams are straight from his lectures. If you study his notes, you will pass. Hes always willing to explain material more thoroughly for you if needed.
Easily one of my best bio profs I have ever had. Tests are come straight from his notes, so as long as you pay attention in class and REVIEW often, it shouldn't be too difficult. He integrates personal stories into his lectures which is helpful. Very picky on lab homework so there is no such thing as writing too much. Overall, a really great prof.
I got an A in patho, and worked hard for it, so this isn't sour grapes. Aretakis has to be the worst instructor I've ever had. He doesn't like to answer questions, doesn't encourage class participation. He singles people out and doesn't treat everyone equally. He lectures from sloppy handwritten, years-old notes on the overhead. Doesn't use Canvas.
I've never worked so hard for an A in all my life. This is the worst professor I've ever had. He is rude and condescending to everyone. I don't understand how he is allowed to treat students the way he does. His test questions are poorly written so even if you know the answer you won't get it right. Beware!!
Professor Aretakis is tough, be prepared to study every single day. He gives you hand written notes which are hard to read at times. You dont need the book, but I recommend getting it for reference. His exams and straight from his notes but are very hard, lengthy, and extremely detailed. Study study study. He offers you EC 15 points at the end.
Very enjoyable and interesting class to take with him. He tells many stories and useful facts to help you remember things, and his lectures are pretty in depth. If you do something dumb he will embarrass you but questions are fine. Labs are simple and forgiving. Tests are multiple choice. He gives you printed lecture notes for each chapter.

Professor Aretakis is a great professor. Most people don't like him because they want something easy and don't want to work hard. His lectures are heavy but the tests are straightforward with easy understanding. Studying and reviewing notes is the key to getting a good grade in this class. He's a high-class professor that cares about education.

I took professor Aretakis for Bio 2710 and micro 2730 and let me tell you I learned so much, but he did make me work for it. All Biology classes are hard so if your looking for easy way out .. there isnt. Read your notes and go over them and you will surely pass his class. Passed both classes with A!!! Excellent professor!!!!

Great professor, but you need to be attentive. very reachable outside of class during his office hours, and responds to his email quickly. His classes are hard, but I've taken a couple of them now and they're worth it.

This is a tough course, I believe the course was great but however we only got graded on strictly test no other work. I believe if we would have other assignments that could have contributed to our grade I would be more satisfied Test are timed and but challenging, you dont know what to expect. This professor does the minimum. Lectures are recorded. Class dates he stayed on zoom for a matter of 20 minutes average just repeating himself telling everyone to keep up with the assignments and Studying. Lazy
He prides himself on failing his students. Super unapproachable. He reuses lectures bites he hand wrote and made copies of which you cant read anyway. He likes to make you feel inferior. Had to drop the class due to health issues but glad I did.

Prof. Aretakis is one of my favorite professors Ive ever had. He is genuinely caring of his students and wants nothing but success from them. Hes extremely intelligent, knowledgeable and teaches from his heart. His exams are straight forward and if you simply listen to his lectures, you will succeed. He is kind and cares for his class! Professor Aretakis is probably the BEST professor Ive ever taken. This is my first class on campus and I was so stressed out at first but professor Aretakis exams are the most straight forward exams Ive ever taken. He helps and answers any questions whenever needed. He also offers so much extra credit towards the end. Hes the best
Aretakis was great this semester. All the negative comments are from people who didnt even try in the class. Micro is a hard class so you need to study like any biology class. The easy thing about this class, was his exams. They were the most easiest straight forward exams ever .

Very very bad for your mental health. If you don't get something on your first try, he will act like you're a failure and make you feel like that. Gaslights students into think they're inferior, very sarcastic too. Notes are like 50+ pages, tough grader even on homework. Good luck passing, going to be very hard!!! :)

THIS CLASS IS HARD! His notes are handwritten and hard to read, but if you actually read and rewrite them they are VERY helpful. If you show up on time, turn in your homework, you are ready to learn, and ready to put in the work- you will succeed! Be very thorough in your homework answers. Tests are mostly matching and multiple choice!
Very tough grader even on homework. I didn't think I would like him. As the semester went on, I realized he is a good professor. Just make sure to study his notes, do homework and you'll be fine.
Professor A. is amazing. Very helpful, he shared real life stories to make the material more relatable. All the test(Lab and Lecture) are multiple choice, homework is weekly and pretty easy. STRICTLY STUDY HIS NOTES, YOURE GUARANTEED TO PASS! DONT BE INTIMIDATED BY THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS, HE'S A GOOD PROFESSOR. HE'S STERN, BUT VERY HELPFUL!
He's a tough professor but his tests and lab exams are very straightforward. He also gives his own notes and study guides to help you instead of drawling about in power points. My C+ was my own doing and it all reflects on my own study habits. Pay attention in class, study his notes and the reviews he gives you; you can surely get a good grade.
Your final grade will be out of how many points you got on labs/quizzes/exams. Not %. Sounds scary at first but it's a life savor in the end. My % was like a "B-" but using the point system, my grade ended up being an "A" at the end. Professor A is not really tech savvy. His canvas replies are like "Yes." or "No." Does crack jokes once in a while.
This was a very hard class. It constantly felt like we were being overloaded with lectures, information, and having to cram for test. There were 4 lecture test,3 lab test, and a mystery lab experiment. He was available for office hours, and was able to help explain concepts. All his slides onto canvas. labs were easy. lots of extra credit
LOTS of lectures and material. Sometimes would go over material the class before the exam, which would only give us a day to study and learn. Not clear grading criteria!!! He forgot to put a question on a lab report and marked EVERYONE in the class down for it, because he expected us to put it on anyways.
Would not recommend taking him especially your first year in college.
Prof. Aretakis is very knowledgeable just not with time management. He would sometimes throw an entire packet at us a day before an exam and expect us to master it! Almost every packet is in his handwriting, impossible to read!
He expected you to put answers on your homework, when he didn't even ask the question. Be VERY clear when writing your lab reports and homework, he marks down for everything. Lab exams were easy if you studied. Lecture exams were mostly true and false questions and were very hard to answer. Offers some extra credit but not much.
Professor A is a very wonderful and outstanding teacher. He gives lots of opportunity to get your grade up. Very understanding and caring. Goes over and beyond to make sure you pass and succeed in class.
Professor A is a very good and a caring professor his lectures are the best and he gives lots of opportunities to pass his class , his exams are the exact same as his study guide, and he is a really good professor overall.:)
Professor A. went above and beyond to make sure all of his students understood the material he is teaching. He gives his students all of the necessary tools for his exams. I would definitely recommend him for another student that needs to take microbiology.
Professor A went above and beyond to make sure us students succeeded in and out of the classroom. He had great in depth lectures and was able to throw humor into a tough course. We were given all tools needed to succeed on exams and quizzes. And he gave us a great semester though it was very information heavy!
It is clear how much Prof. A cares for his students, and Biology. Any negative reviews are left by students who are looking for an easy handout. Professor A prepares his students for rigorous programs such as Nursing, as BIOL 2730 is a required course. This is not an easy class, but professor A does his best to ensure quality. 100% would retake.
Professor A is a great professor. He is a fair grader and cares for his students. As any 2730 class, it takes time to study all the material given to us. He gives out extra credit towards the end of the course. This class will reflect on your own study methods/time studying.
All the people giving him a great are bots or the professor doing it himself. This professor does NOT want to see his students pass. And get ready for him to jam 8 chapters in one hour lecture.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HIM IF YOU WANT TO PASS. Very rude and difficult and yells at you in front of other students.
Prof Aretakis clearly went to college to study science, NOT education. His lectures are just reading from his handwritten outline and wall-of-text powerpoint slides. He'll post an outline of what to study for exams, but if you want an A on the exam you'll have to study for 6+ hours every day for a week. It should be a class, not a full-time job...
If one wants to pass this class don't choose this Professor. He is more scient and his approach too. He is struggling to explain the material and you should watch YOUTUBE figure out what he means.
Professor A's class is challenging but rewarding. Attend lectures, use the free textbook, and try unstuck AI for study prep - it really helped me grasp the concepts. Overall, a fair grader who wants students to succeed.
I struggled in his class, especially with tests covering five or six chapters at once and hard to read due to his handwriting. They made up most of our grade, while homework assignments were only worth a fraction of the points. He relied on his handwritten lectures instead of textbooks, making learning difficult and overwhelming.
Type up all of his centuries old handwritten notes to each chapter, then scan into Quizlet to have Quizlet AI generate your flashcards. Then + and - flashcards as needed. Won't answer your q's w/o at 1st making you seem small, & still won't at times. Clearly he's tenured. Ends class an hour early every day. Doesn't realize iphones are computers.
He doesn't give many opportunities to ask questions. But his lecture and notes are pretty clear and straightforward. Study straight from his notes and you won't fail the exams. Sometimes his stories are funny too. Overall good teacher I'd take again.
I know past reviews make people skeptical but trust me you want him for this difficult class!! He might seem reserved and difficult to approach but he will help you if you are struggling with anything! His tests are straight from the pp and his notes. He allowed us to voice record him during lecture so that helped a lot as well.

Do NOT take ANY classes with this professor. I am trying to help you guys before you make the worst decision of your life! This teacher makes this class incredibly hard for no reason and is not helpful at all! I am warning you guys all please change your professor before it is too late.
I'm gonna be honest here. Is it a hard class? yes. Is he the most caring person? no. But he is funny and nice as long as you do your work and you put the time in everything will be fine. He will let you turn things in late minus a few points encourages to study in a group. It's all up to you if you wanna pass or not.

Just finished taking his class and honestly it wasn't so bad. Your grade is based off of points instead of percentage. If it was based off percentage then I would've received a C+ instead of a B. Just pay attention and turn in your assignments and you'll pass. He provides notes and the answers on the exams are on those packets.
He will not email u back he changed the grading rubric on the last day of class uses handwritten notes RUDE does not have a clear understanding of what he's teaching and will go off on tangents DO NOT TAKE
Just finished this class. Prof A, amy come off as rude but i truly believe he wants his students to succeed. Class was given extra credit and he grades by points which bumped my grade tremendously. He does not give hw which can be a con. Overall, I studied hard and my work paid off in the end. Definitely not a class to push aside. Information heavy
