Great teacher! He is so energetic at times and keeps the class interested. I personally love writing so if you enjoy writing papers this is the class for you. We had papers due every week (4-6 pgs) is all you needed. Average grader, if you do all the work you will be pass the class with an A. Final was very easy, they were from all the short storie

In his class you will loose the fear of writing. He is a very kind person, and his discussion are very interesting. I highly recommend his class.

He made the class fun and different from what you would expect in college but in a good way. I actually looked foward to class because of his corky attitude and off beaten way of teaching. He cares about his students and wants them to do well. Take his class before it fills up!

I was never the best in an English class before Mr. Baker. I would highly recommend taking this class. He keeps you interested, and actually gets you looking forward to go to class. Yes there is a good amount of work and essays, but i think that is an even trade off.

This guy is awesome. He is the best for ENG 111 and 112. I took his class in the summer and it was fun.Though summer class was hectic, he encourages us not to give up. we ate doughnuts in class all the time. You may work in groups all the time and that was even more fun. Last but not the least, u can negotiate your grade to a better one

AWESOME TEACHER! I took him for summer for english 111, and i pased with flying colors! He Really reads your essays and actually corrects them, h talks one on on with you and clarifys what you need to work on. He helps you pass and is really passionate about teaching! I learned alot of life lessons with him! Awesome teacher! im taking him again!!!

mr.baker is awesome! I took 2 calsses w him. If u like to look deep into things then he's the teacher for u. He teaches life learned lessons.U do have to work however and he gives a lot of reading nothing unmanageable+very enjoyable. Do easy hw, and u will Ace ur tests. Give ur self time for ur essays. He's an EASY GRADER and gives MANY chances.

He is so nice. I dindnt learn much just the basics of english , but he understands his students and the fact that we all have lives. He gives lots of oportunities. Great teacher!

He is one of the best teachers, he grades your papers with feedback on how to be a better writer.. He also buys the class, doughnuts or bagels with juice whenever we answer a question right. Prof Baker is the best, took him for Eng 111 and 112 and i had A in both. I recommend him

he is hilarious. great teacher. lots of group activities. makes essay writing easy with his pre set formats. a lot of story reading out of the book and analysis.

By far the funniest prof I have taken, do not need a book until the middle of the semester. 5 essays required and quizzes on readings from the book. I never bought the book, just look them online. Didn't do on paper but still manage to pass the class with a B. Make sure to do well on the final exam.

He's a realy good teacher that actually cares about his students. He's a really funny professor and he always made class interesting. On top of the things I learned about writing, I also surprisingly learned a couple of things about life in his class. I highly reccomend him!

He has a big heart. He gives you feed back on the essays you submitted. He is really good teacher. Don't be absent in his class because it can hurt your grade. I got a B so I'm good. One of my favorite professors.

Professor Baker was by far the best English professor I've had in a long time. He really cared about the students. He's very clear about what he expects from us and I've personally learned a lot from him and I've honestly became a better writer thanks to him. He's the one professor I'll never forget his name.

My favorite professor of my Spring semester! Really cares about his students and will grade you fairly as long as you try your best. Don't show up late for class, try your best and you're guaranteed an A.

An actor with history of a tv show and he likes to talk about days past, but they are interesting stories. You will learn how to write a killer essay. I found it to be an enjoyable class. He brings donuts on occasion. Would 10/10 take it again. Super simple.

His class is easy. You will have 2 reading quizzes and only 8 papers. You would have 1-2 weeks to write for each paper (mostly 2 weeks). He does not take off point for minor mistakes on your essay. If you follow all the directions he gives, you will definitely get 10/10 on all your essays. I recommend his class if you don't want to get challenged.

This system Baker has to organize writing is life saving. I wish I had been taught all of this in high school and I'm sure my classmates would agree. Aside from his class being super straightforward and easy, Baker gives very good life advice and tells great stories. The dude has been on broadway! Also a total babe 10/10

Guy was awesome. Good feedback and makes you feel like you've done a good job when you have. Show up to class and do the work you will get an A. Just because he isn't serious about writing down attendance you have to show up and learn the material. He tells you exactly what he wants done on his essays and the only two quizzes are the homework.

He makes this class a breeze if you just show up and do the homework on time. Papers are very easily structured and his expectations are well laid out. Highly recommend

Took his class over the summer, and he provided the one thing that I did not have as a writer, and that is organization. His templates were extremely useful for me, and I still follow the general outline of them to this day. On top of that, he was a great guy, brought a lot of fun energy to class, and was overall very relaxed. Highly recommend him.

I CAN FINALLY WRITE! Honestly has been the most amazing professor Ive ever had for English. Ive always hated it because I cant write essays. But using his template has definitely helped and now essays are not a problem. Im super shy and had a great easy experience. Hes helpful, kind, and understanding. Be on time and participate:)))))

Professor Baker is the best one to have as an incoming freshmen. You do have to adapt to his template style of writting where you write the essays in boxes rather than full essay format. Other than that, class is fun and easy. Just pay attention to how to write in each template and your golden.

Took an 8am with him and it sucked. I never wanted to go and skipped A LOT. Don't skip with this prof, he ends up grading a lot of classwork. The essays are easy though and he cares enough to help you get a higher grade. That being said, he talks a lot about himself and is kind of boring. I didn't feel like I learned a ton but he's very nice.

Prof. Baker is by far the best teacher I have ever had in my college experience he really tunes into you as a student and he treats all his students with respect and no bias. I also like his teaching style it will have you tuned throughout the whole class. If you have the privilege of having him as a teacher just do me a favor and ENJOY!

He's literally the best teacher. He's not a tough grader at all and he really wants you to succeed in class. This class was literally easier than ENG111. There is a lot of hw which consist of questions from a book, really easy! You should really take him you won't regret it!! & he's really nice & cool

Im definitely not the best with writing papers, I had to take this class again for spring, and thank the lords I was able to have him as my professor. He truly wants you to succeed in his class. He gives us templates to help us organize our thoughts. I finally know how to write a good essay now! If you follow his methods, no doubt you will pass!

Just take him and you'll get an A or B if you do the work and essays were easy because there is a specific way he wants you to do them! Which made it so easy!

Prof. Baker is a chill person. There were 5 essays in total and he provides the template for the essay. I would def take his class again and you should too. He is caring and very understandable. Easy A class.

Professor Baker is amazing! He has taught me so much. I hated writing essays because I was so unorganized but he provided us templates and it was a life saver! You need to be ready to walk in to class with an open mind. Yes, he will get off topic but at the end of it all you will learn a lot about life if you listen to his stories. It won't feel like a waste of time if you connect to what he is talking about and make use of it. I learned valuable writing tools from Dr. Baker that I still use to this day!

As mentioned in previous reviews, Mr Baker really wants the students to succeed. However, reviews about going off topics are true also, which is sometimes useful and sometimes frustrating. But he is very clear of what should be in your paper and what should not. Essays are always hard with any teacher. He is decent and not a tough grader at all.

Mike is one of the best prof I've had. His lectures are off topic but they are actually interesting. Even though he goes off topic, he still teaches the martial that you will need. only 4 essays in the class and he even changed the due dates for everyone a week before the semester ended so we could get it in. 110% recommend!!!!

TAKE THIS CLASS! Best professor I've had. I was nervous going into the class but Prof. Baker is easygoing and actually makes class fun. I'm not the type to participate a lot in class but I really felt comfortable doing so here! I feel like I actually learned a lot and the assignments came naturally. Didn't even mind waking up early to get there!!

Class is optional but he usually gives extra credit for just showing up. He can come off as conceited because he talks about his accomplishments a lot, but I felt like he just wanted someone to talk to. Gives extra time on assignments. Super easy grader and cool essay topics. The textbook is only used for a few quizzes so find an online version!

Micheal was a chill professor, helps you with ideas for essay and before a essay is due he will review the slides there only like 3 short quiz based on a book. The essay were fun to write because you lets you write about anything they just have to be understand the types of writing he assigned. He will give you extra credit for anything.

Professor Baker is a very wholesome person, he really does not want you to get bad grades. He always provides extensions for the essays due dates, he also gives you many extra credit opportunities to snag! He likes to talk about his life sometimes which is very cool and makes you engage with other students in group activities. 10/10 would recommend

Professor Baker is caring, sweet, and overall great! The class was an easy A. Five papers and the grading is very relaxed. I got As on my papers and I am not a great writer and English is not my first or even second language. He is a talented actor too, he shared good tips. Overall, this class improved my writing significantly!

He gives A LOT of extra credit and it is very easy to keep your grade up if you do his work and extra credit. He is very understanding that students have a life outside of school and will have a lot of respect if you show up and work hard.

I took this professor back in the Spring of 2023. I saw negative reviews and have to say; Professor Baker is such a sweet person with great stories he incorporates into his lessons for better understanding. He is a tough grader because he believes every student has the potential to improve in his class. Great guy.

If you're not trying to do too much and just want the easy A, take his class. The only downside is the lectures are boring. If you actually want to learn something and push yourself, look for someone else.

If you read the bad reviews you'll realize they have personal situations that threw them off about Mr Baker, they hold a grudge against him, and are often bias. While he does speak about himself in class, he connects it to the discussion at hand. His shared experiences provide good insight. He's a good professor that cares, very knowledgeable.

Professor Baker is the best English professor I've had a blessing to work with. He provides feedback and responds quick outside of class. If you ever need help he provides office hours, he's not a tough grader as long as you follow instructions, and his lectures may be long, but their insightful and relate to the topic being discussed.
