Mr. Barber is the best teacher that I have ever had. His teaching style was very effective. I hope to enroll in more of his classes in the future. I wish all of my teachers could be as nice and professional as he is.

Mr.Barber's teaching style is very effective and calls for class interaction. The topics are interesting and relative (and I took the 8am class). The packet is priceless and essential to the tests. Expect weekly HW in subsitution for essays and weekly on-line quizzes that prep for the tests. I highly recommend this class for majors and non.

Don't go by first impressions with this guy...he has kids(you'll understand if you take him). He's funny, cool, and class isn't boring. If something important comes up and you miss a quiz, let him know, he's very understanding. Don't miss the HW or WebCT quizzes...30% of your grade. Tests are not too bad, but u still have to study. Take him.

This is a great class to take. I wish he was teaching more classes besides this and developmental psychology. I had a 3 hour a week class with him and I never got bored. Definitely a great teacher to take.

PRO: He was an excellent teacher....He makes you laugh and doesnt give you much HW, its like 5 questions/week.....CON: The quizzes are based on reading so you have to read.....and its:15 questions timed in 15min.....the exams are somewhat easy......and the final, its only notes since the last exam not from the beggining of the year.

I really enjoyed Barber's class, he made it interesting and not overly hard. it was overall a good class with the tests and work loads.

I really enjoyed this class more than I thought I would. He uses various mediums of teaching to try and reach everybody. On-line quizzes weekly, course pack was VERY helpful, very organized and punctual in responses. A little tricky at times-but he keeps you on your toes.

Mr Barber is very entertaining & passionate about teaching. His self-deprecating humor alone is worth taking the class! The subject matter is very interesting and so is he. I strongly recommend this class if you're interested in the subject. You work for your grade, so you definitely learn the subject matter. Textbook required.

This literally is the greatest teacher at Santa Fe. He is sooo helpful and sooo kind. I wish I could take him for every class!!!

You actually do have to work some in this class, but he is an amazing teacher, and the work isn't that hard. He gives you points for trying even if you are wrong. His class is a blast! If you actually want to learn take his class!

I liked him alot. You basically have HW due every Tuesday & a quiz to do every week. Quizzes are pretty easy HW is alil time consuming put pretty easy too. Just put some time & effort into the class. You have 4 test no final & no research type papers. VERY nice guy makes class fun, its not a lecture type class just discussions really.

This is my first experience with him and so far it's been enjoyable. He does make the class interesting and will listen to all points, while giving his own. Doesn't try to embarass you, and he is big on group collaboration. I highly recommend him!! I'm sure I won't have a A, but I feel I have learned the subject so far.

I like the way he teaches, but I did find his tests to be a little hard. Attendance isint req. but really helps with your grade. I thought he was a nice guy all around and knows his stuff. Class was fun not just boring lectures. I would def. recommend him.

Took online gen psych; great teacher! Organized, responds to emails promptly, a good handful of assignments but some are open book - lots of opportunity to earn points. Grades quickly. Definitely MUST read textbook to get by with a good grade. Highly recommend him for psychology.

He teaches his class quite well. Basically his tests come from the textbook read so even if you don't go to class you can do good on the tests. Attendance is mandatory though. There is a lot of work in this class but as long as you do it all you can easily get the grade you want. I only did a moderate amount of work and managed a 96%.

He's extremely approachable & it is quite apparant he wants all to succeed.He answers emails promptly & not 1 bit intimidating.Highly recommend.

Great teacher, entertaining and witty, I look forward to class b/c I know it'll be a laugh. There's a hw due every tues, a short online chapter quiz due every Sunday and a workbook to fill out mostly in class. The final is not cumulative. He covers everything thoroughly. Seems like a lot to do but I spent little time out of class on work.

This teacher is very straight forward, gives you plenty of time for assignments. I missed some assignments because of my procrastination and computer problems and still got a B. Read the material, it is enjoyable, and you will love his class. Very organized teacher!! Would highly recommend!!!

The directions were always clear and he was quick to grade and answer back. I took his online fall B course and it was really easy. There is a lot of work and you do have to take the class seriously. He will help you with any questions. The quiz questions are most likely always on the tests. I definitely recommend taking this course. I got an A

Barber is a really great teacher- organized, entertaining and keeps the class involved. I thought the tests were easy, especially since many questions came from the quizes, but the questions are mostly applied knowledge vs. straight memorization. There is a big research paper, plus 2 other papers. The chapters are short and easy to read.

Took class online in Spring B. Very organized! Amazingly organized! Get the book and just read it, you will pass your quizzes and exams easier. If you are a health sciences major, pay special attention to the chapter about the brain and all the details in the book about what originates from certain parts of the brain like speech, and memories.

Mr. Barber is 1 of my fav. professors! Very laidback and funny. The class is very interesting and you learn a lot! HW is 5 q's and is due once a week. There is a 15 q online quiz every week. For the tests you def. have to read the material, but the quizzes help. HIGHLY recommend him!

Michael Barber is extremely organized, helps students keep track of their progress, and makes class time a quality learning experience. (Lots of homework, but improves exam scores.) I highly recommend taking this course. The reading for the class is pretty heavy, and though it is helpful to read the chapters, the material is covered in class. Lectures are inclusive and interactive. Prof Barber does a great job ensuring that students understand the material and the discussion posts are just one way he achieves this.
