Professor Benhar will have you cracking up. He is a really understanding professor and answers all your questions. He really goes over eveything and makes sure you understand it. Take his class. He will have you rolling on the floor. Watch out for broken overheads!

Prof. Benhar makes the class so much more interesting with his sense of humor. His stories are great but yet he still manages to teach so much. He is very reasonable and fair with his tests. Highly recomended.

I think Benhar was great! you dont take notes in class...you download them off of his website. Same with the hw...its multiple choice due the morning of the test, whch helps you so much! he always assigns extra credit to help you get more points...he's fun & nice and I cant believe he got bad comments!

he's a good teacher, and tries to be funny. we laugh at him, not with him but its funny. for an 8:00 class, he makes it worth while.

Benhar is just awesome. His class was so much fun. He is dedicated to his profession & teaching. If you like psychology..you're going to love his class. Make sure you do the readings and atleast try. He really tries to help his students any way he can. He does go off topic alot but its only to get his point across and be funny. Just laugh with him.

I think Prof. Benhar is pretty good. How can people say something bad about him? At least he tries. He gives ops for xtra cred., he lectures thoroughly, yet if you do not read from the book, you will most likely fail his tests. He also jokes around a bit and that is pleasant.

Mr. Benhar is a great teacher. he is funny and knows what he is talkign about. he always gives you an optional essay added to his tests that you dont have to do but it can help your grade you also get points for being there. if your there for all classes you get 10 points added to your final exam and then the points decline if you keep miss classes

Very good professor. His lectures are key to understanding the textbook. He puts things in ways you can understand and relate to. He also gives you access to his website and puts up information in WORD and PowerPoint that help. If you download his PowerPoint slides and take them to class, you have less notetaking.

he started out a little hard, but let up later. all the while beening very funny if you have to take this class at night take him he kept it active and interesting. I also learned a lot here. hope it helps

Great guy, funny and caring, teaches very nicely with interesting lectures. Makes material as easy as possible. Answers individual questions at length. I would definitely recommend 100% if you need to take PC11. I had a great time and the class was generally easy.

Professor Benhar was an interesting teacher...I actually didn't mind going to his class and learned a lot in it. He puts all his notes online which is awesome bc if you miss a day, just go online. Tests are fair and you will do well if you pay attention. Oh, he makes a lot of lame jokes that aren't funny, but better than no personality@

Okay, prof. Benhar is a really nice guy with what I believe are good intentions. The work is really, really easy and his tests are straight off of the homework. Only four tests and four homeworks. Pay attention and youll be fine. He does his best to help out if needed and is or at least tries to be a comedian.

a great professor. he uses powerpoint to present the main ideas of the topics, & discusses them further from there which helps keep things organized & clear. he also posts the notes online, so you can print them out instead of writing them in class. this helps if you miss a day too. just listen, read the text, you'll do well. helpful, kind & funny!

I like this professor a lot. I think he's real and genuine. You have to study for the test to do well. He gives all his notes online. He puts a lot of effort into his work. If you have any questions, he is always there for you. Just ask! Though I did hate the few times he wanted us to "pair up" with someone.

Professor Benhar is a total sweetheart and has a real passion for what he is doing. His lectures are clear, full of stories and examples, and funny. His grading is fair, and there are PLENTY of ways to get extra credit, including coming to all classes and going to psych club meetings that involve watching really awesome documentaries.

This guy is enthusiastic and full of information. The class is not very hard, and he is more than willing to help with anything you need both class related and personal. Attendance IS taken into consideration when he grades, although class is always fun and interactive.

Passionate about topic and students. Wants you to succeed. Plenty of opportunities for extra credit, flexible office hours, uses outside resources to help clarify topics. Wish I was going to be at Suffolk a little longer to take the rest of my psych classes with him but I'm transferring!

I don't know how people are saying his tests are easy. Don't get me wrong, I love Professor Benhar. He really is a great teacher, and he tells you alot of his personal expierences. I've done all of his homeworks, did 2 extra credit assignments, and havn't miss a class yet. We've had 3 tests so far and I'm yet to do well on them. His tests are hard!

AWESOME professor. He is the ONLY psych professor i've taken and liked. His tests are easy, but you actually learn a lot in his class. I always enjoyed going to class and if i had known how awesome he was earlier, i would have taken him for more psych classes. i highly reccomend him! : )

Love him. Take his he's sooo good. You will learn and the tests aren't that bad. You will have to write a paper but its not that hard. Easy class because he makes it fun.

Online version. Well planned by professor, what needed to be done for the semester left nothing to doubt. Wished I would have had him for class but this is a great way to get'er done on line and still learn a lot of Psych. Quick with emails, also tests and paper (6 page reflection) were very fairly graded. A little trouble with video clips though.

Great man,great professor.Rarely have i known someone as passionate about a subject as he is. Tests were definately not easy. No giveaways here so you must read the chapters in his class. Im glad he is directly involved in helping people in the real world and not just teaching! Highly recommend!

The best psychology teacher i ever had. You will learn so much from him and he makes everything understandable. He also has a website so you can pratice sample test and such. I strongly recommend him.

He made PSY101 so interesting!! We had a three hour class and he could always tell when we were getting tired and would pause the lesson and show interesting clips from House or other shows that had to do with what we were learning! He is a good grader, just do the work, and study!!

I would recommend him to anyone. He's very laid back, and funny. He's not afraid to laugh in class. Very clear. You have to read all the material he covers in the textbook on your own, but I never opened the textbook once and I got a b. Tests are multiple choice, and there's one paper.

Professor Benhar is a good teacher, very informative and most defiantly knows his stuff. The class is kind of hard but if you attend and study you should do relatively well. There is one huge final paper that he is very specific on. He does not give you a rubric to follow and is a tough grader . Good luck !

Love him! I've taken him for two classes and both were fantastic. He teaches very clearly and brings his own experience up as examples. Shows clips from the Big Bang Theory and House to relate psych to our lives. Need textbook. Very smart man, would take him over and over again and psych isn't even my thing!

His lectures are very entertaining and interesting. Read the textbook and study guide. The tests are all multiple choice. he gives 4 tests and one 5 pg paper. He grades the paper very hard. i failed, and tried very hard. He gives 10 extra points on your last test if you are absent no more than 2 times. He is very personable and funny. not corny.

VERY smart man. Can answer any question in a very clear way until you're satisfied. Funny guy, but he's not easy. On the plus side it pushed me to thoroughly learn the material. Study for the tests and you'll do fine on them. Very harsh essay grader though. Get started on them early and give them all you have. They have to be perfect, i'm serious.

It's sad to see how self-entitled some of the people in these comments are, but that's Suffolk I suppose. Dr. Benhar is one of the most fair grading and interesting professors I've taken. He bases all of his knowledge off of research, and is a very smart guy. He gives extra credit on tests and allows you to argue wrong answers. Would reccomend.

Professor Benhar is not an easy professor, and if you are looking for an easy A, look elsewhere. However, if you are interested in Psychology, I have never had a better teacher. He is a fair grader, and obviously interested in his field. His tests are not easy, but if you study they're not impossible.

Professor Benhar is extremely insightful, humorous, and approachable. Although he is also very nice and easy to communicate with do not mistake this for an easy A. His course work is definitely challenge and educationally stimulating. Should you take any of his courses, expect to work hard and obtain valuable information...

Great teacher for Online Seriously. I've taken two teachers online so far, he is my favorite. VERY helpful, he responds to each comment in the discussions, which is nice. Pretty easy online. You have discussions every week(write full paragraphs and comment on another students paragraph) And 5pg paper, and some tests (Which are hard) I recommend him

He's a tough grader for sure, he loves to mess with you mind, however the lessons are fun and he def keeps things interesting, I would take it again. However you must read the book and the other additional information that he tell you to, you def need to read other ways YOU WON'T PASS THE SEMESTER!

Easy class. Discussion is like 15% of grade; tough grader on papers but everything is straight from the book; tests allow enough time to take it with the book open (look up the answers). Easy A if you're willing to read and make a discussion comment 1x week and write 1 paper the whole semester. Would take again! He is very prompt w email ?s.

Dr. Benhar is really helpful, he only assigns one paper for the semester but its tough because he expects a lot out of it. His tests pretty much copy the textbook and his in class discussions so they're not really a problem. He's very approachable and gives 10 extra points on the final if you only miss one class which is awesome.

Very specific with all the material and is always willing to help! I needed the textbook to help study for the tests but other students went without it. If you don't miss classes gives you extra points on your last test. 3 tests no final or quizzes and one paper but with the paper he is extremely tough grader! Good class would retake!

Dr. Benhar was very helpful, even with non class related issues. I took Life Span Development online with him last semester. The paper was very difficult, I recommend starting an outline as soon as possible. As long as you keep up with the work load you will do fine.

Dr. Benhar was a very nice, well-spoken professor. Always a smile on his face and seems to enjoy life. Maybe he's teasing us all though since he's a psychologist! But overall, very interesting class. Attendance matters to him 1000%. If you miss only one class you get +10 which is awesome. Tough grader on the paper and very eager to help students

I took his online psy210 class and it was an easy A. Lots of work to do each week but he is a very easy grader so as long as you do the work correctly you will get credit. Tests are obviously open-book. Can't go wrong with this online class!!

I personally have mixed feelings about this professor. He is friendly and nice and explains topics well however his behavior sometimes is odd. For instance his humor comes off a little harsh sometimes and seemingly mocks people with disabilities or people with mood disorders, which is so wrong since he is a psychologist on the side.

One of the best professors I've ever had! Very enthusiastic about the content which always makes the lectures really interesting/enjoyable. The tests aren't easy but if you study and do the readings you can do very well. This isn't a class you can just breeze through, be prepared to dedicate a good amount of time/effort to it!

He's awesome, there's 4 tests, which are clear cut, he gives practice questions before hand. There's one 5 page paper, which I didn't get a great grade on because I waited till the last minute, but I still have an A in the class. If you post discussions the way he wants them you'll get 100 on all of them and he leaves feedback on them all too!

I think he forgets people are human. You'd think for a man who shows compassion for the subject he would understand students better but he doesn't, there is no leniency. He seems to have a controlling problem too. If you try to explain your pov he rudely instantly shuts you down. The paper is ridiculous & I don't mean that by it being easy.

He's a happy guy with great lectures. You will need the textbook to do the paper & it helps you on the test to look over he textbook chapters. The tests are kinda tough with some tricky wording but nothing remarkably difficult. He rewards students with good attendance at the end of the semester by adding up to 10 points to their last test grade.

I took this class as a summer course it was a dense class. I worked a 12.5 hr night shift then took this class right after for 2 hrs. What you put into this class is what you get out. You have to read textbook and make flash cards. The test are fair. His practice test will set the tone for how you'll do. I got an A.

I LOVED this professor! He gives you a review sheet for tests. Read the textbook- it really helps you. Print out the powerpoints and take 20 minutes to read over everything you should be fine! Papers are summaries and are really easy! 10/10

he makes class very enjoyable. his power points are always very helpful and he posts them on blackboard so you can access them at any time. he also posts sample questions a week or 2 before and exam for help and assigns extra credit usually after a test. very funny guy and makes the class interesting he really gets you thinking

This professor is fair . Attendance is important because he gives extra credit point. Don't miss more then 4 days in his class or its over for you ,your going to fail. No homework, No final, 1 essay and 4 test. He has a great sense of humor, makes fun of his family and friends .I enjoyed his class. I would take again.

Good professor no homework actually cares about his students and he should have a 4.5-5/5 rating his tests are a little difficult but only on certain chapters not cumulative

I took his online class. Just do the homework how he asks and you'll be fine. Always be sure to comment on another students discussion board but do NOT say you agree, you have to actually apply some thought. One 9 page paper but given from the text book required for class. He answered my emails, was kind to me. Just do your work and you'll pass!

Took PSY 210 online. You get assigned a chapter each week and an assigned section you have to write 2 paragraphs about with a summary and application. Do the reading or you wont pass the exams. A bit tough with grading but he treats you like an adult and expects results of one. 1 term paper and offers extra credit paper. Answers emails right away

Loved Dr Benhar, I thought he was super funny and personable, a little sarcastic but kept the lectures interesting. As long as you show up and take notes youll pass the class

Took Dr. Benhars online only course. He is an extremely difficult grader but his material and requirements are fairly easy. I throughly enjoyed his power points and the way he explains things. He was extremely accessable and willing to help no matter the problem. Extremely personable and kind and offers extra credit half way through the semester.

Extremely nice and responds to emails quickly. Only grades based on 4 tests and a research paper, tests seemed difficult but I usually did well on them. Lectures were very long sometimes but were informative. Reading the textbook is a must. Overall, I liked Professor Benhar, but found the class to be not too hard, but not easy.

I liked professor Benhar, optional lectures, 4 tests and 2 papers, tests were easy and open notebook if you study your notes youll be fine. I can see how people say he doesnt care because i feel like if you had trouble he wouldnt help much. however, i never expeirenced that because i just studied and took the tests and did okay. he wasnt bad

Dr. Benhar is my absolute favorite professor at Suffolk. I have never learned more than I have in his class. His ppt lectures were so concise and clear. He is extremely passionate about psychology and it shows. Most of your grade comes from discussions. Tests are a little difficult, but if you study, you'll do well. Take his class!!!

Professor Benhar is a great professor but he is a very tough grader. He took off 25 points for my discussion even though he said it was right because I used his powerpoint instead of the textbook. The tests are pretty easy and the class is easy to understand. Overall, would take again.

This was a pretty easy course. As long as you follow directions and do the assignments correctly, you will do well. There are only four tests, so you definitely need to study.
