I took the class in the morning but his energy kept your attention even with minimal sleep the night before. He knows what hes talking about but can teach the information so that his students understand it.

By far the funniest, clear and helpful professor in MCC. It's a class and stand up comedy in one. His tests were easy and his notes were clear. Just go to class and pay attention. Best dressed professor as well.

I took all of Boesters classes because he is by far the best professor at MCC. He is very helpful, animated, and an all around fun professor. I have never heard of anyone that did not like him, also all classes he helps you through and is easy to get A's.

he is an excellent teacher. i learned so much in his class. he makes sure everyone understands what is going on. somtimes he uses the craziest examples but you will get it. i tell everyone about him. he reminds me of the transporter. (who needs a book when he's teaching?!)

Took his class during Intersession. Other than the fact we started class at 8:45 in the morning it waas a good class and Boester got us through it. I'd love to take another class with him but I can't. ROCK ON BOESTER!!! One of his sayings I'll never forget, "If you're gonna live like an American, you gotta die like one."

He has made my interest in science go from a 4 to a 10! It is a fun class that you will look forward to. He is funny, smart, and very nice.

As the vice President of Student Governance I highly recommend Professpr Boester. He is one of the top five professors I have had in my college experience to date. Great teacher. Will not fall a sleep in his class. He has a lot of passion for his subject. Do not agree with him on many political standings. Most of the things we did in class I didn't know so it was interesting. He does talk loud so sit far from him if you want to sleep in his class. LOL.

Favorite teacher of my fall 2009 semester. Made a subject that is usually taught from a dull perspective into a fun and exciting class. If you pay attention and give him the respect he deserves, it's an easy A.

Boester is the man, hands down. Don't be surprised when he scream "BOOM!" in the middle of class and gives you a heart attack. Greatest proffessor I had, Dating back to 2003. As I am back in school for a second degree in VA, I still compare his style to my proffessors here. Respectful and understanding. Took Human Geog and Economic Geog the semester after because I enjoyed his teaching and the subject matter so much. Awesome professor. Realistic character with some catchy phrases! He ain't ever gonna lie to ya!! All around great guy great class. Knows his stuff and gets his message across. Seriously, take one of his classes!!

Absolutely amazing professor! Extremely willing to help you at any time, and his course is simple and easy, you just have to try. Tons of extra credit so you can't get anything but an A. All discussions were worth while and interesting. Strongly recommend taking a class with him- he made human geography fun.

I loved having Professor Boester! He gets back to your emails right away, and is a pretty quick grader (especially when you consider how many students he has overall). The homework isn't overwhelming like some classes (you still have homework, it's just not over the top), and I learned a lot. Take his class. You won't be disappointed!

His tests are fair, and he will always help you. However.. If you are regularly late and disrespect him.. He will ask you to leave and ask his forgiveness to come back.. And he has every right to.

Very easy going guy. He has a good personality, and teaches very easily. Not many assignment except for 1 essay at the end of the course. The very few quizzes were online so you could use your book. Did NOT use the textbook so dont buy it. I would recommend taking his classes.

AWESOME professor! May seem overbearing and strict the first day but he is such a cool guy. Keeps the lecture interesting and makes you want to come back for more. Don't expect to get out of class early though because he usually falls behind in his lectures and makes you still till the last second

Best professor ever! The online class was easy to follow and very clear. If you ever have a question on something, he responds quickly. Homework was simple and not overwhelming. And he gives great feedback. He even offers a field trip experience for the Human Geography class. I wish I could take every class with him!

Boester is the best professor. I have already taken 3 courses with him. I can repeat myself so many times on how awesome he is. If you are there to learn, than be prepared. He is very flexible so, do not hesitate to ask him questions. Be aware he is intense and very loud. (In a good way of course).

I left MCC 2 years ago and am now graduating from RIT. I still think about this guy's class and how awesome of a teacher he was. You actually learn and he makes it interesting and entertaining. Easily one of the best professors I've ever had.

Show up to every class, bam. 6 points of extra credit added to your grade. This professor has opened my mind up about the world and this was the only class I looked forward to going to. Pretty funny dude too. I advise anyone to check out his tour of Mt. Hope Cemetary for extra credit. I took my roommate with me and we loved every minute of it.

Would definitely, and am taking a class with the Boester again. Name is very fitting. His high energy and attitude are refreshing to have in a Natural Science classroom. Strict but accommodating. Show up on time, and listen to what he has to say and you will be fine. Definitely take his class if you are able, and make the most of it.

If you have to take a Science class this is the one for you. I really enjoyed Professor Boester's class. I learned a lot about Geography in his class. He's a great professor who loves his subject. I took a class with Boester in Fall 2016. I had to come back and give him a rating because he is still one of the best professors I've had. I never got bored during his lectures, and I went on his Mount Hope tour, amazing. I learned so much from him, and would definitely take another class with him.

Professor Boester is awesome. I took his GEG102 condensed online class. There was a fair amount of work, but it was all interesting. You have to turn things in on time, but the professor grades quickly. You will learn a lot about geography and yourself in this class. Highly recommend.

Signing up for the class, I thought it would be boring so I went in close-minded. First day of Boester's class, he knocked that out for me. He is extremely passionate about what he teaches, the lectures are phenomenally intriguing, and honestly this is THE BEST teacher that I've had in all of my years from Kindergarten until now.

This was a random class I decided to take my first semester for my social science requirement, AND WOW, it was one of my favorite classes. Boester makes you think about the world around you and your affect on it. He connects the class to itself from earlier in the semester, and to the real world. He gives extra credit for a trip or100% attendance

I love Professor Boester! He is a great guy with a passion for Geology, however, his feedback online is nearly nonexistent and even if you think you've completed all the requirements, I would end up with points taken off without him letting me know why. His class is interesting, though, and you'd have to do absolutely nothing to fail it.

This guy is absolutely amazing. I had done this class just as a class needed for general purposes and not my major. I was expecting something boring. What I got was amazing. He teaches with passion and makes the lectures fun with stories and engages the class so that you feel involved and not sitting there bored for an hour and a half. Worth it!

Boester is intense, but in a great way. I've never met a professor so passionate about what he's teaching. In his class, everything you learn comes together like a puzzle, and it's impressive how he does it. His lectures are both hysterical and eye-opening. If you take Human Geography with him, attend the tour of Mt. Hope, it's a cool experience.

Boester is intense but in a way that you would like. He cares about his job and student success. His lecture's basically give you the answers to the homework's and exams. The class has a total of 8 homework's, 4 lecture exams with 3-4 extra credit opportunity's. Great class if you need the science gen-ed but aren't a great science student.

Boester is great! He keeps everything very exciting. The class met only once per week as it was a hybrid so he was pretty lecture heavy but managed to fit in class discussions. There is 1 weekly homework assignment, 8 location exams, 1 lecture exam and 2 projects. He has multiple opportunitys for extra credit including perfect attendance.

Boester is a great man. This was the first semester this class was offered as a hybrid and I liked it. I have had him many time before for different courses and he never disappoints! There are 4 lecture exams, 4- 1 page essays, 2 location exams and a final that is online. 3 opportunitys for extra credit.

Professor Boester is full of character! This was my first GEG class and im so glad i took it with him. His lesson plans are clear and straight forward and he follows them pretty much to a T. He gives the full semester assignment schedule so you dont have to ever wonder when things are due. Loved his class, im taking him again next semester!

I took GEG 102 online over the summer with Boester and I'm currently taking GEG 101 with him as well. He is very engaging! If you have the chance to take a class with him I highly recommend it! Professor Boester is EASILY my favorite professor at MCC. He genuinely cares about the well being of his students, and tries his best to learn everyones names. If you're a planner, the way the course is outlined is great - you can see all the things you'll have to read and do (like quizzes, etc). Professor Boester was pretty responsive, which doesn't always happen in online courses. He's clearly passionate about the topic. The textbook was definitely mandatory.

This class was pretty easy. I chose to sign up for the late-start class and I don't regret it! You have two weeks to complete a quiz, discussion post, and a test or two. There were also only two papers for the semester. The professor gave you textbook chapters and presentations to help you with the tests and quizzes.

Professor Boester is a legendary professor. I've taken his Physical Geography, Human Geography, Economic Geography, and Geography of Genocide classes with him. The last one I just listed was probably the most unforgettable and powerful class I have ever or will ever take. There's really no one better suited to do what he does.

Professor Boester brings great energy to the class. The workload is manageable, with quizzes, essays, and exams that you can complete at your own pace. Using unstuckstudy alongside the textbook and class materials helped me stay on top of the content.

One of the best professors I've ever had. His lectures were engaging, he always offered a fun extra credit opportunity, gave good feedback, was very encouraging, and he's just a great guy in general.

Fair grader and plenty of time (almost a month) for the assignments on chapters. Assignments are primarily on Brightspace, with a few written onces sprinkled in. Overall he was responsive, fair at grading and gave alright feedback. It is an easy A! Extra credit is also provided. I highly recommend this class if you need an elective, or otherwise.
