It was my first college class (still in H.S.) and he taught it well.

Hard class, but a good teacher. He allways gives handouts and even gives handouts before tests, and goes over the handouts the next day! Yes he does go a little fast, but if your alegebra is weak do not take this class! Take ma27 again...

He's a great professor considering the amount of information he needs to teach in the amount time he is allowed. He teaches fast, but for a reason. He's so adorable, very upbeat. H.W. is definitely not an issue. Grade is based on test scores only! PAY ATTENTION! you'll be fine

Took him fall of '03 and had no problem. He's an excelent prof. and gets a lot done in a short amount of time. Just do the homework, READ THE BOOK and pay attention to what he puts on the board! He may seem unaproachable but don't be affraid to ask him questions! He has a wealth of knowledge.

I loved him. He helped me sooo much on the final.

He is a good prof. you just have to pay attention, he is always willing to help and make sure you understand what he is teaching, however he does give out a lot of homework 75% of the time.

Ok, I just wanted to say, you all made me think twice about taking him and I am glad I didn't listen. He was thorough and at times talks to you like you should already know it, but I would reccomend him. Great teacher and really cares, but only if you care.

He tends to go a bit too fast at times, and sometimes his answers are a little much, but if you ask clearly he will be very clear to explain everything. Wonderful professor

This guy is really great if you do your work. If you don't ask for help you won't get it but if you do he will take as long as it take to make sure you understand the material. If your a hard working student and you actually want to do well take his class. You will not regret it.

I really thought he was not a bad teacher. His test were just way to hard. he explained everything fine and was willin gto answere your questions. His test were just so stupid, 8 multiple choice and 5 short answers. If you want to understand the concepts take him but if you wantto pass don't take him

I don't understand why people dont understand his lectures. I think he is a GREAT proffessor and you can learn alot from him. His tests are not difficult at all, as long as you know the material.Im passing with an A+ and i havn't studied for any of the tests. You won't get help if you don't ask for it but he is always willing to explain things.

one of the smartes guys i know. AWSOME teacher and his tests are NOT difficult at all. i didnt do much hw and did not study and got A+s. im sure that if anyone does the hw and studies can get the same results.

Amazing professor! Very kind, willing to help if you don't understand something he will go over it until you do. Funny, goofy sense of humor. I am awful at math and I got a B+ in his class. As long as you do the homework, you will be kept up to speed no problem. As long as he sees you are showing an effort, you will definatly pass. Def recommended!

Very good teacher, makes material really easy! homeworks are there to help you get ready for exams, not for the grade! Learned a lot in this class. Grade - A.

Very easy to understand, moved quickly and did not review for tests...however made himself very available via office hours and email to help anytime you needed it...

Show up and do the Homework and there's no problem. He's funny too, which helps.

Simply the best math professor you can ask for and I've had five at SCCC. I'm a good student so I expect a good prfessor and this is the guy. Clear and easy to understand and VERY enthusisatic about math. Always happy to help you with anything math related and he even has hours at the Math Learning Center in addition to office hours. Take him!

i took him my first year way back in the day before i transferred to a suny, and let me tell you, the man is awesome compared to what you'll deal with when you move on so don't hate, but appreciate...he gave me the benefit of the doubt and i got a B in the end...and he's super nice and hot!!!!!

He's a really cool professor, appreciated especially by students who actually take an interest in learning. One of the most easy going and funny professors I've ever had. Pay attention each class, and you shouldn't have a problem passing. All of the bad reviews are most likely from people who didn't really put in much effort. In sum, great professor, I caught up a lot this semester and I plan on taking more classes with him.

Hes a good teacher, he just goes VERY in-depth with even the simplest of problems. His class is all lecture, he does everything. He writes the problem, solves it, explains it, everything. Students pretty much sit there unless theres a question. Homework is optional but you"ll need every bit of help if you want to do good.

Took Mr B for Calc 1 and Calc 2. Hes very smart and sometimes can move quickly. He is very helpfull and is always willing to go back and explain something. I would definitely recommend taking him for any math class. If your having trouble go to the Math Learning Center when he is there!!

He's a really great professor, honestly anyone who's failing is down right lazy. I've never had a math teacher who's given such in depth explanation on every problem/lesson. Calc I was very straight forward, he explained all of the topics very thoroughly. As long as you come to class and do your homework every night you will do well. The tests are easier than the material we learned in class and the lowest grade gets dropped.

If you have an interest in mathematics, he's the professor you want. He is very passionate about the material. I've noticed anyone who complains about him in the class never asks questions or comes to the lab. I've gone to him multiple times and he's very approachable if you have a question. The tests are a bit difficult though. would take again.

Very helpful! Gives a lot of homework. Moves fast. Will explain if you have questions. You need to be responsible. Test can be hard. Read the test questions carefully. If you are looking for an easy grade don't take him. Very funny. I love math. I had b+ in precalc and A+ in algebra. I failed his class the first time. second round doing better.

Homework doesn't get collected in his calc class but if you want to succeed you still need to be doing a lot of it. Your grade is based on four tests (one gets dropped) and a final.

Some might not like the way that he teaches, but he is definitely not the worst professor out there. He does not collect homework, tests are fair, and his lectures won't put you to sleep. If you put in the work, you'll pass with high marks. On top of that, he's rather friendly and willing to help you if you need it.

Dont take him if u expect an easy A. What he teaches in class is enough to grasp concepts to do HW but expect to read the textbk to help with some HW probs. U MUST do ALL the problems to pass the exams. Ask him to go over HARD HW probs first bc he only lets students ask 2 to 4 probs at beginning of class. Test questions VERY similar to HARD HW prob

The class was MAT 203 but the code wasn't available. Professor Bonanno is one of the smartest teachers I've ever had, and his awkward humor is hilarious. Moves incredibly fast due to bulk of material. I was the only freshman in the class and had to work a ton to get ahead. Extremely hard material, but a great challenge! If you don't work hard, fail

Prof Bonnano is incredibly smart. I highly recommend doing the homework at the MLC BEFORE you go to his class and taking notes from the text book BEFORE class. Then just sit back and LISTEN while your in his class. This is a huge mistake people often make. They try and keep up with him while learning the material for the first time. He's hard.

I love this man

Just finished winter session Mao7. He is strict with everything but thats because he wants you to get through the class. Its only 14 classes to do a full semester. NO anything in front of you policy but you can come and go if it you need too. Mike will strike you as serious, but i promise you if you get to know him a bit hes a cool guy.

The way he explained the material made it easy for me to understand. Gives a lot of homework but doesn't collect it so I used practice/study for exams. Only 3 exams and you can drop the lowest grade out of the first two. Sets clear attendance expectations, available to answer questions during office hours. I wish he taught algebra & trigonometry!
