he is a very good teacher. The exams are sooo easy its almost impossible for anyone to fail. You just read his powerpoints and show up to class and you will def get an A.. dont bother buying the text you would not use it

I don't know why professor Bourgoin doesn't have more ratings b/c he is the BEST! He prints out all the slides for you, gives 2 quizes with a review sheet thats identical to the test, 2 short easy papers, and one research paper which he was really lenient and easy about. Prof Bourgoin?s class has been the leading inspirational factor for my undergrad.His lectures are not only interesting,but hes always there to advise.Lecture notes are online and he is very fair with assignments and grading.Everyone should have him at least once,and other professors should take notes.Above all,hes not to shabby to look at either.

Just had professor Bourgoin for health and illness and loved It. He really is an awesome professor. The lectures were fun and informative. The tests were on point and the workload was typical. What stood out to me and it seems to be a trend with his ratings, is that he really does care about his students and his work.

Saturday morning class, makes class relaxing and interesting. Amazing prof, exam are very easy if u take the time to just read the power points n study. Very understanding and compassionate. Midterm and final are MC n short answer, and one final paper 5 GPS. Very easy and enjoyable class. Got an A

Great online class. Well structured, and organized. I knew exactly what was expected of me and did well as a result. The class had a good amount of work but it wasn't too bad. Prof b was also extremely responsive to email and discussion board. I'm taking him again in the fall.

soc229 is the best-est class ever- thoroughly enjoyed every lecture and class. definitely learned soo much in that class and also researching my thesis, gained a lot of knowledge. always looked forward to health and illness class. enjoyed the 2 papers the 2 quizzes and final paper. loved it all. definitely take this class and professor.

Greatest professor I have ever taken. Easier than I expected. This class was one of my 5 requirements and had an amazing A. The tasks were very straight. 3 handout essays and 2 quizzes. I was just on time for classes. That was the benefit for my grade.

He serves as a role model which all professors should follow. If you show up to all his lectures pay attention and take notes then everything else falls in place and you magically get your A.

This was my very first Hybrid class, and I loved it!! Down to earth professor, brilliant and just great feedback. This is my second time taking SOC101 because I felt like I learned nothing from the first professor. I'm really glad I took it again because I learned so much from Professor Bourgoin. He doesn't focus on our grades, but really wants us to learn and improve. You can just tell he is so kind to others and is someone you want to emulate. He's the best!

He's a professor who truly wants to giver his students the best grade possible. Very decent grader and always reachable. I'm going to take him again for sure. HIGHLY recommended. You can get an A+ very easily. The course is basically online, unless you just have to show up in class for two short tests.

Loved this class. Learned so much and was interesting to learn about. Hw questions came right from the book. Two quizzes which were easy because they were based on hw questions. One paper based on a health topic. This class made me decide that I wanted to Study public health in graduate school.

Got 100/100 in both of the SOC 229 and SOC 246 online courses. The most relaxed and fair grader I have seen in my QC life. Very easy topics. Even if you write couple of sentences, he'll give full credit for weekly assignments. The easiest class to get 100. I have met him personally for the SOC 229 quizzes. Very nice young man. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This professor was amazing. The textbook was not required, attendance is not really mandatory. He hands out review sheets the week before a test so you can study only those things. He gives two tests, multiple choice and a paper for the final. Great professor. I would totally take him again.

Do the work, you'll pass with the grade you want. 3 response papers, one term paper and three-four chapter summary and responses per week. A lot of writing but if you pay attention to the text and convey that in your writing, you'll be fine. Fair and understating professor. Cares about student progress and learning.

I have taken Prof. B for soc.229 and currently taking soc.246 fully online. All I could say about him is in 3 words, he is amazing. 100% recommend every student to take his class and you won't regret. We need more professor like him in QC.

He's a great professor. He has a clear grading criteria and syllabus. PleaseTake him!! Easy quizzes and homeworks on blackboard. The final paper might be a little tough (1015 pgs) but he tells you what you need in the paper in detail. Other than the paper, this class is easy A class and professor Bourgoin is an awesome, chill, and easy professor.

He is an amazing professor. He is very chill since class is on Sundays. Its a very easy A if you keep up with lectures. Two easy quizzes since he gives you a review sheet for it. Two response papers and one research paper. No final exam. He is a must take. Highly recommended.

Where to begin. I wish I took more classes with him. He is a great , and straight to the point. I took his Summer Session course (4 week) which was all online, and it consisted of 2 quizzes which can be looked at as a midterm and a final. He gives you reviews which helps prepares you for the quizzes. There were weekly assignments also.

It was a hybrid class in which we only had to show up 3 times for tests. All the homework and projects are posted in advance so one could be done with 90% of the course in the first week if one desires.

I thought Professor Bourgoin was inspirational and very helpful. His goal is to help you succeed. Great professor. I wish all were like him.

soc 101 was such a great class to take. tests are solely textbook reading-based, and the content itself is interesting and very simple to understand. michael is very laid back and cares about his students, great guy and professor. looking forward to taking soc 229 with him next semester.

I took soc101 my freshman year and failed. Now I'm a senior and took it with him and I got an A+. He's an amazing professor. Very knowledgeable and accessible out of class. One of the most caring professors.

This class was very easy because there were weekly papers which was loosely graded because it was literally just a reflection paper on each chapter. I did not even buy the textbook because I found it online. There were 2 quizzes which were very easy and 2 long papers which were also easy. Easy A if you submit all the work.

He's an amazing professor. He was very helpful during the transition from in person classes to virtual classes and allowed extensions on assignments as needed. The best professor I have had so far! A must take!

I had his class on sundays for almost three hours but he always ended it half an hour early, which is great. he is very nice and funny and likes to start ranting about random stuff which is interesting to listen to. His tests are all multiple choice and he gives more than enough time on it. He really wants his students to do well.

The reason I'm giving him a 4 and not a 5 is because you're essentially teaching yourself the material. His ppt slides state exactly what the textbook states (the textbook can get a little confusing). He is an easy grader and you basically get full credit for every assignment you submit. His tests are easy and he gives review sheets.

I took this class in summer 1 (4week) it was a lot of work to get done literally in 3 weeks since. You have 10 hw assignments 3 response papers 2 quizzes and final term paper. The workload is doable but it's a lot for the short term. I would say easy class. As he's an easy grader. I recommend.

If every professor in the world graded assignments like he does no student would ever fail. This unfortunately will probably be the easiest class I will ever have to take as a college student.

He's a very easy professor and grader. The class is online-asynchronous, so you can learn at your own pace. Weekly 400-500 word summaries, no long or hard writing assignments. No exams with the exception of 2 quizzes throughout the semester. Very nice and easy-A professor. Highly, highly recommend!!

TAKE HIM! This is one of the best classes I have taken thus far. Easy grader. The professor is accessible outside of class. If you do the work, there shouldn't be a reason why you can't pass the class.

Great course. Reading is very interesting. Took class for summer session 1. If you do the assignments you get full credit. Professor Bourgoin is such a great guy, sure his class was easy going but I did learn a lot.
