Boyle's lectures are STRAIGHT from the book. Just take notes and study those for his tests which are VERY GENERAL. He curves all tests and gives study guides too. He doesn't take attendance. If writing enhanced, he just requires one APA style paper about anything from personality. Good class... easy A.

Run rabbit run rabbit run. This professor is not involved with his students His exams mostly consist of inferring and guessing answers. I usually make As and this wasnt. Very ineffective instructor- his lectures include reading the textbook (with lots of coughing, pauses and clearing his throat) and sprinkling a lot of his anecdotes. No discussion

He has weekly asgmts. where you answer a question about that weeks material. Every 4 weeks there is a test (lockdown browser) worth 50 points (you have 55 min.) Extra credit is for every 1 PERP point you do he gives you 3 w/ a max of 3 PERP point you can get up to 9 extra credit points. I didn't buy the book or watch his lectures I used google.

all he does is read from textbook and his notes. He uses no powerpoints and flys off topic constantly in lectures. You'd have an easier time just reading the book than going to his class. BUT he's an extremely caring professor and will help if you go and ask him. also the only grades in the class are the exams and a PERP extra credit.

Super easy. There are no powerpoints. A lot of students complain about that, not sure why, but here's a heads up for it. He is a caring man. Only grades are exams though. Which, if you are like me, and have test anxiety that is awful. You really only have to show up on test day. That is what most people do.

He is so nice! He does not do powerpoints, so his lecture should consist of taking notes. He teaches right from the book. I had four exams in this class with the opportunity of extra credit through Perp. I highly recommend this class. It's so easygoing that I had to remind myself to study for the exams. I even signed up for another class of his.

Great teacher! Gives great feedback on assignments. Gives study material before each exam. As long as you do all assignments on time and pass every test then you can easily get an A. I would take this teacher again.

Took this professor online, you have to watch his lectures to pass this class. I read the book and still didn't get this professor. There isn't any assignments in this class so if you don't pass the test, you don't pass the class. Not sure why others are saying he is easy, because he is not....

Professor Boyle is a great professor. He is very clear about what is expected and as long as you follow his instructions and do the work, an A should be achievable. He provides lectures and pdf overview of the content, but it is necessary to watch the lectures in order to do well on the tests. Overall, easy to understand and interesting material.

Honestly, it wasn't a great time. It's his book, tests have their issues, and lectures are dull and lifeless. It's not that its hard... answer right based on his book in the test but it registers as wrong. Horrible at correspondence. Class could be interesting, but isn't. Real information is hidden in a textbook full of anecdotes.

I've literally never been more frustrated by a class & professor EVER. His lectures are long & he repeats examples A LOT. The study guide contained information that was NEVER covered in lecture or book. The tests are all GUESSWORK. He basically wants you to answer how HE would answer. Only graded on tests whose questions are vague and confusing!!!!

One of the more caring professors I've met. The only grades are 4 exams and then 14 3 point weekly assignments (1 assignment/week for 3 points). You do have to study but just watching the lecture is fine. The book is something he published and his lectures are word for word, so don't worry about buying the book. He is a monotone lecturer but nice!

You must have the textbook for this class and will read it every week. Awful lectures that don't talk about what was in the reading. His exams were really hard and would ask about things that we never went over in lectures or textbook. He does provide reviews for his exams. He also wasn't also accessible over email. He does curve the exams though

He wrote the book. It's poorly written with no index, graphics, nor proof reading. He talks about a concept in 1 paragraph and spends the next 2 pages with case studies. None of his lecture videos worked. He was horrible with communication. Test questions were equally poorly written as the book. 10 pt curve. No clue why. 0 communcation as to why.

Professor Boyle is incredibly ableist. He has a lecture on chronic illness that talks about how chronic illness "sometimes can start out legitimate" and makes chronically ill/disabled people out to be liars who manipulate and take advantage of their "enablers" (caretakers). Tests are poorly written. Lectures like a dry Baptist preacher. Reporting.

Overall, he wasn't as bad as many would say. The only issues were the textbook being brief on certain topics but the lectures kind of save you. Yet, it was still interesting to learn about family dynamics from him. Not really good with communication as far as sending emails but gives the option to call. He does curve exams so that's a plus.

Worst professor ever! I literally cannot even begin to explain he bases his class on a book that he wrote, and the book is not backed by any science or research whatsoever. It is purely based on his opinion. This makes exams virtually impossible. Its impossible to get ahold of him via e-mail. I don't mean hard; I mean literally impossible. TEXTBOOK
