this man is so, so boring. he talks more about himself, goes on and on about examples, and generally bores you to tears. trust me.
he is boring as hell but he lets you take the test over as many times as you want but they are kind of hard

he talks about himself & his son, he gives you a test while you're unprepared, then the next class meeting he covers material you were just tested on. He can't schedule properly, he's always late to class & talks just to hear himself. you teach yourself.
I felt he was a good teacher. As long as you pay attention to his lectures and study for exams you will recieve a good grade.90% of the exam is straight from info in the text book. He is very helpful when I had questions. His grading scale is very fair.

He was a very difficult professor, the test were very difficult, but at least he let you take the test many times over. No matter how hard I studied the test were impossible.
No no no no no no. Class is boring, teacher is always late, you don't learn anything. The only thing I learned, was that he was one more professor that I would NEVER take another class with.
His lectures can carry on a little long, but he has a lot of interesting things to say and i enjoyed the class. Tests were a little hard, but he allows you to make up the first few tests 2 times.
It's fairly obvious that you people are looking for a free ride. Braun is interesting, a good listener, speaks to current topics. Tests are tough but that's why you study. You'd get more from his classes if you actually wanted to learn anything! Great guy

First two class days; he went over the rules on how to be a student. He speaks in the same monotone in a creepy caring voice. This man suffers from his monsterous students and must be gently put to sleep.
What an insightful man, makes you use your own mind in making decisions about life. I want to take him home with me.
he's creepy in a really bad way. his tests are picky and hard, but he lets you retake them. he is chronically LATE everyday and keeps you late because of it. i didn't learn a thing. i would never take his class again or recommend anyone else do.
His test is easy if you read the book throughoutly..Also, he lets you to retake the test regardless of how good or how bad you did. He will lock the door after the class begins, so don't be late!
Great guy, i wish we had more teachers like him. he is full of knowledge, not only you learn about psychology but you leave the class learning more about yourself. this class will give you a new perspective on life. believe me you will be hooked
He is a very bad teacher. He talks about only 10% in class of waht is on the test. It is ALL reading, and class is very boring. He is late everyday.
As long as you show up and pay attention the tests are easy and there isn't any homework besides reading.
His tests are easy, his lectures are boring. There is only one sometimes two extra credit assignments.
this class was very interesting, the lectures were reflected in the tests as well as the book material. He's not an easy ride but if you're looking for one you probably should not be taking a psych class.

This teacher kind of creeps me out, he picks favorites in class too especially if you are a girl so watch out! Otherwise though he is super easy! His lectures are very boring and have nothing to do with the test. As long as you read you will get an A.
he's awesome! my favorite teacher at ElCo. he's really understanding. i rarely studied, and got a B. take him if you want a down-to-earth teacher.

He is the worst professor i've ever had! I've never been in a more boring class in my life...his lectures are pointless...they have nothing to do with what's on the test...he just sits there and reads out of notecards...he makes a class that could be very interesting the worst class in the world!
he is one of the best teachers i've ever had...(simple as that) i suggest anyone interested in the medical field to take this class.

This class is sooooo easy. If you're good at sleeping with your eyes open the class goes by pretty quickly. Just skim through the readings and you'll get A's on the tests... I'm sorry, ADVENTURES.
Not much of what he lectures on is on the test. You HAVE to read the book in order to pass the tests. I received an A. Interesting material - it could be presented in maybe a more interesting manner. Btw, he's a very nice man.
Awesome professor; wanders some, but cares about students a lot.
I really got a lot out of this class. He's an informed man who listens to his students and will help you all he can if you have questions. I highly recommend him.
his lectures are okay, but you can't just write down what he writes on the board. you have to try and write down everything he says if you're not going to use your book for studying. the good thing is that he always goes off schedule so you don't have to sweat as much.

He is an amazing teacher. I finally found a teacher at El Camino who has compassion and love for his students. He talks about real life matters that inspire you and makes you feel loved. He is an amazing person and I highly recommend his class.

I loved this professor. He was interesting and if you do the work, his class is not that hard. You do have to study, but he is clear on what you need to study and his tests are pretty clear. I learned a lot in his class and I felt he was my favorite professor at El Camino.

He is a very nice man but he tends to go very off-topic on his lectures. There is a TON of reading for this class. If you read the book you will do well on the tests, excuse me, adventures in learning. He is very smart and cares about his students. I don't like how he covers very little material in his lectures while there is a ton of material covered in the textbook. He also tends to repeat what he said from the last class during like the first half of the next class. But overall, a decent class.
my feedback on dr. braun isn't as positive as the rest. i didn't think his lectures had anything to do with the test material. Test material was very unclear to me and so was what we actually had to read. I would not recommend him, I do well in school, but not in his class.
A nice guy but his lectures are a few chapters behind the syllabus reading. In addition, his tests are on the few chapters in the syllabus, so lectures don't particularly prepare you for his exams. The exams are of average difficulty. I zoned out a lot in this class. Friendly teacher, cool material, but his teaching style didn't work for me.
Even though its tru he could have explain in more detail what was on the book if you read the class is pretty easy, but I think a human sexuality class should be more excting, Dr Braun is a good person warm-hearted and im willing to take more classes with him.Take this class is easy and I learnt several useful thing:)

He is a very nice and warm hearted person. But the exams are not based on his lecture. You are on your own and read the book! The study guide is not helpful. Unclear test materials.
Dr. Braun is the best! His classes were always interesting, and he is very helpfull if you dont understand something, be sure to read the assigned chapters though, because 80% of the tests are from the book. he offers a nice amount of extra credit so you can pull of the grade you want, there is no reason not to get an A in his class.
Dr. Braun is a very nice and personable professor. He sometimes has a good story regarding his experience as a psychologist. However, for the most part, his lectures are extremely boring. He spends most lectures reading from the text book.
Dr. B. is cool. The lectures are interesting. The tests are not from the lectures. You have to read the book to do well on the exams. He offers lots of extra credit during the semester. If you have half a brain & come to class, you'll get an A. (one guy missed about 15 days, and showed up on day 2 of a 2 day final and wonders why he is failing.DUH
Dr. Braun is a great professor to take if you are very interested in learning about the subject matter. If you're just trying to pass the class I reccomend someone else. He is a very caring person but your ability to focus will be tested. The great thing about him though is you can retake the tests twice. I never stressed about his tests.
Really nice guy. His tests are multiple choice and pretty easy as long as you READ THE TEXT. His lecutres may seem irrelevant or pointless at times, so make sure you READ on your own. He even lets you make up bad grades. I'd recommend him if you want an easy A.
Mr. Braun is a really good teacher. He really cares about his students and wants u to pass his class. AND what teacher is willing to let u make up tests until u pass them umm....NO ONE!
Dr. Michael Braun is a great teacher. I enjoy his class because he teaches you about how our mind works and cares about you. I didn't do to good in his class, but I learned a lot and enjoy it very much.
This is an interesting class but the teacher does not cover everthing that was on test you must read to do well on tests, read read read and you will get a high grade, you can make up the first 3 tests if u get a bad grade. gives lots of extra credit,NO hw. He is a really nice guy and lecture are sometimes boring, i would definetly take him again.
BORING!!!! dont even waste your money buying the study guide, you won't use it. I learned more about his son gabriel than anything... Oh, and you will end up making a bunch of extra credit stuff to get A or B. Take him only if you are desperate...
Dr B knows sooooo much about life & human behavior. He is really compassionate & very kind. His lectures are very interesting & drift from one subject to another. However, his exams are entirely from the text book! Read each chapter TWICE, take a lot of notes & you can get an A. He also has an extremely generous policy of retaking the 1st 3 exams!

My Psych5 class is fairly easy, but be prepared to NOT fall asleep!! Lectures don't really follow material fast enough, but if you read the book the tests are straight from it. He's an okay teacher, I'd take him again.

He's pretty cool and he's very easy. Everything with him it's very straight forward. He gives you a lot of extra credit so it's very easy to get a good grade. All of his test are multiple choice and if you read the book they are very easy. I'd take him again if I could.

He's kinda arrogant. He also tells way too many stories and it's like I dont care about your stupid stories, just get to the point. Anything he doesn't cover in class you are still responsible for knowing. But if you read the book it is pretty easy. I prefer the book to class

this teacher is reasonable. extremely approachable and understanding. he does have a few rules but they are easy to follow and pretty much make sense. which is why he locks the door if your late. he does let you make up the first 3 test 3 times. and it does help. even though he doesnt go over all the chapters in class you still get a good sense.
Dr. Michael is a nice guy, however if you want to do well on tests all you need to do is READ THE BOOK! His lectures hardly EVER pertain to what is on the test, so the majority of the time he tells stories that really are a waste of class time. He is laid back with allowing you to retake the first three tests and attendance.
Lectures are a little vague but if you read the textbook and do all of any offered extra credit, you will succeed.
Terrible teaching methods
One of the best teachers I've ever had. He truly knows what he's talking about and basically, just an easy class. He talks about politics and religion, but it all retains to psychology.He lets you re take all 3 test 3 times, very easy A, and he allows you to see him at office times, whether its personal counseling or just talking about the class.
His lectures are often off topic but it is a very interesting class. as long as you study from the book you will do well. He is an interesting person though. overall good class
Very interesting class. He doesn't really lecture - you have to read on your own. You have 4-5 exams and 1 final; attendance is mandatory. He allows makeups for the first 3 exams - do it! You watch some cool videos in class. If you want a chill and easy class, take him. Basically, come to class (it's worth 30%), read, and you should do very well!

Does not cover the material in the test during lectures. Dr. Braun seems passionate about the material but does not clearly cover the material. He will make you earn your grade and you will probably have to read the whole book. Overall, do not recommend this instructor since I dreaded going to his class.

I have taken him for three classes. He is super nice and the test are easy if u read the book. YOU MUST READ THE BOOK!! I did not do the extra credit so I got a B but if you do the extra credit its a easy A. You pretty much get to sit there and listen if u want or play with your phone either or, but the most important thing is to read that book.

Really easy going guy, though his lectures can be dry at times. He tests on the outlines he gives during lectures and also from the textbook, which is more of a collection of various studies and ramblings. His tests are easy, 30 questions, with a free extra credit question. Two papers, but both are very simple since they are about you. Recommend!
Mr. Michael is a great professor, his lectures tend to be very long, but if you follow along with the textbook you'll be fine. No study guides for "adventures" (a.k.a exams), so make sure to pay attention and take good notes; also study from the textbook!!!
Dr. Braun is passionate about psychology and is a nice guy. His teaching style is a bit challenging and unreasonable. You are required to read the entire book and take exams on the chapters without a study guide. Test questions appear out of nowhere and even after reading the material, you can't remember the small details that come up in the exams.
Enjoyed this class very much! He lets you participate at any given moment. He will answer any question you have thoroughly. Loved reading the book every night; I learned something new each chapter/section I read. I would take him again! Also, he lets you retake the test if you did not pass.
Braun is amazing! He is helpful, & always willing to answer any questions you have. However, this class requires a lot of heavy reading. Also, there is no study guide provided, so be prepared to read the entire book to do well on this exams... his exams come straight from the book. But despite that, I would still take him again if I had the chance.

Braun is a great prof. Be prepared to be an independent learner though. His voice is kind of monotone and it's sometimes hard to stay away but he knows his stuff and I learned a lot in his class. He's a nice guy and loves what he does. A LOT OF READING!
Very relaxed guy. Lectures for most of the class. No homework, just multiple choice chapter tests.
This class will be easy if you love psychology but if you don't it'll be a struggle. I personally loved his class but be ready to study everything on your own. His lectures are pretty vague but interesting. Use the study guide book, it helps a lot!
He's very very boring. I'm a psych major and love the major but he makes you not want to come to class. You can't get out of your seat and there is only lecture. You must listen to his lectures for over an hour!

Brauns a really nice guy who wants you to succeed. show up to class but just study the book and you'll be alright. his curve will keep you alive so dont trip too much
Dr. Braun is a great guy, but he literally teaches out of the book. 6 tests, 1st one you can retake. Tons of reading, offers tons of extra credit for going to events that pertain to the class itself. I got a C because I couldn't do the extra credit due to my time constraints. Otherwise, I would have gotten a strong B. Be prepared to study a lot!
High School level class. Very easy, difficult to stay interested. Be ready to watch movies that are outdated and talk about topics in class from more of a personal level than a professional one.
Honestly, the worst class I have ever taken! He does not teach at all. All he does is talk about random experiements that have nothing to do with the course. You have to teach yourself with the book and study guide, but it's really hard because he does not tell you what is required. Not clear at all.
Professor Braun is a very sweet man. His class can be easy bc it only consists of multiple choice exams. However, having that said, READ,READ, READ the textbook! Dont rely on definitions. Alot of it is theory and application. Theres only 1 written assignment thats 2 pgs for a museum of tolerance visit.
Dr. Michael is one of my favorite professors at El Camino, I have had him for two classes now and his classes are fairly easy. If you attend class regularly, take notes on the lecture, and read the chapters out of the book you should get an A. He gives out extra credit and it helps because there are no assignments the grade you get is from tests.
Lectures have NOTHING to do with the exams. He does give extra credit which is a PLUS. But VERY boring lectures. Just reads off of a sheet of paper and goes very fast. Questions on exams have random statistics that he takes out of the text. If you don't read you won't get an A. If you don't plan to read you won't succeed.
Great lecture class, note-taking isnt necessary but you must read to pass the class! Dr. Braun is very helpful but again if you dont read you wont know what hes talking about. His lectures review the reading material in the order they show up in the book. I would recommend! Open and comfortable atmosphere.
Dr. Michael has a really great class but expect to read and re read the textbook a lot. He offers a study guide in his book requirements and I highly recommend filling it out for every chapter because it'll really help. be careful not to get behind on the reading, it'll make for a really long night the day before the test.

Great person, but not as a professor, his lectures have nothing to do with the tests. When you try to get a better understanding, he kind of puts it off and says "study your study guide". He's not very direct. Wish his tests matched his lectures, because he's a nice guy.

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! Unless you are prepared to read all the chapters on your own and teach yourself everything then go for it. Be prepared to hear lectures that won't help you for tests and stories about his life. The only plus side to this class is that he gives out extra credit.
ATTEND EVERY CLASS - he basically highlights all testable and important material during class. TAKE GOOD NOTES. I never once read an entire chapter - I would study my notes from class the night before exams and skim the chapters and definitions. Got an A in the class. Do the extra credit - bumps your grade up a lot. Attendance is 20% so will help!
Also, pay attention to percentages he throws out during lecture -- almost always on the exams!
The thing with Dr. Braun is that he's a really good person. He seems to really care about his students and his lectures are some what helpful. Abnormal Pysch is a tough class IN GENERAL. I busted my ass for an A. If you dont have a book, you WONT PASS. He's test are 100% from the book, so expect to read. These last two comments on here are nonsense
I took Mr. Brauns "General Psychology 5" and he is a really nice person but his class is super hard. You don't get any homework but that means your grade is primarily based on how well you do on your tests. He does give out extra credit but its rare.... Goodluck if you plan on taking one of his classes!
DONT take him. He is a nice guy but not a good teacher. His tests are nothing alike to the lecture. He never wants to help you, and locks the door to whoever is late. I took Dr. Braun for two Psych courses and got A's. The only way to pass is by reading the textbook. Dr. Braun is very nice, but he does tend to go off on tangents, which can get boring. Lectures aren't that great. So do yourself a favor and read the textbook. Yes, attendance is mandatory.
Wish I took this class online or with another teacher. All Dr. Braun does is read off flashcards. His PowerPoints are very vague. The textbook is NEEDED. Read thoroughly and you'll be fine. Sucks that attendance was kinda mandatory; learning is basically on your own.
He's sweet, funny, and caring. He gives no homework whatsoever, and you are graded on tests only, which he gives every 2 weeks.

He gives a presentations but that doesn't always mean that everything on the powerpoint will be on the test. All he is reading from the presentation is vocabulary words, even then he doesn't put the definitions there. He give examples on certain things but overall I never looked forward to this class.
I am taking Psychology 5 for Professor Braun. Very horrible teacher in my opinion. Lectures help a little but you're pretty much on your own and you have to read the textbook to pass. Dr. Braun reads off of notecards during lectures but always gives the class an opportunity to discuss and ask questions. He is very helpful and approachable. There are three homework assignments and three tests. Before each test, he gives you exactly what you need to study.
I definitely had a love/hate relationship with Dr. Braun. At first I was frustrated because this is a difficult class. He reads off notecards & his slideshows don't have much too them. I read every single page of the textbook & it honestly prepared me for the future. He is a very sweet man and doesn't intend to be mean. Just study & you'll do well.

You have to read the chapters he assigns. We took 4 tests and as long as you read you will be fine. Don't know why people say he's a bad professor. He gives no hw, you just have to read and study. If all that is done then you will pass. He's funny at times too.. if you don't like to do things for yourself then this isn't the class for you
Dr. Braun is a very nice man, but he doesn't update his lectures or his exams with the new edition of the textbook. He tells you to get the 13th edition, but all of his exams are based off of the 11th edition. You need to read the textbook or you will not pass. His lectures do not contain all of the info needed on the exam. Would not take again
I think Dr. Braun is great. I don't know why so many people don't like him. His class was one of the easiest classes I've ever taken. He gives you study guides with what is exactly on the test. And he's very flexible. If you miss a test, he let's you make it up all the way up to the last day of the semester. Such an easy A.

I've taken him twice & everyone complains saying hes bad at lectures and doesnt teach much. In reality, everything you need to know / what he reviews is all in the book, so the lectures arent as important. There is no homework, youre only graded on tests. All you have to do is read the book & study to pass. Pretty easy! Take him, hes nice and funny
Dr. Braun is a simple man but that also goes for his lectures. The powerpoints do not give a clear indication what he expects you to know. There are no study guides, he says prepping for the test is reading the textbook. Your grade is a reflection of your test scores. No homework. Some extra credit opportunities.
I finished taking his psych5 class and honestly it wasn't horrible. No homework aside from one small paper. The rest of your grade depends on tests. He lectures most classes, which get boring. However, if you show up and read the book for the exams, you'll be perfectly fine. Although he's a nice man, I wouldn't take his class again.
This professor is the absolute worst. So if you ever end up with him please drop immediately and go to another professor. His lectures are boring because he just talks (no good material so READ THE BOOK); and he has about 4 tests and a final in two parts. also, he lost our whole class' second test irresponsible and decided we retake it or drop it
