Professor Buono was an engaging and enthusiastic teacher, you can't help but enjoy this class and his recycled jokes. Attendance is a must. The tests are tough but if you know the material you'll do fine. This class covers a ton of info, but Professor Buono is very approachable and helpful. I'd give him an A+ even though he gave me a C.

I love this man! He makes everything so simple, easy and interesting. So funny! If you go to class and listen you will get an A, easy A... just understand all the material that he goes over in lecture. There are 3 tests each have an essay question that he gives you the answer to and a short final paper at the end of the semester. Take him!

He is inspiring and wants his students to succeed! His teaching style is really clear, he gave us the essay question a couple days before the test, so there's no reason you should not get anything less that perfect on that. He is probably the best teacher I have ever had so far. I learned a lot and got a decent grade on a hard subject.

As an online class, we were required to watch the lectures at our own pace to prepare for the exams. The lectures were enjoyable to listen to and were very easy to follow. As long as you manage your time and take thorough notes, a passing grade is surely attainable. Thank you for an awesome and inspiring learning experience

Spend as much possible time ever studying. Just rely on him for using past student notes, and take advantage of the lectures. Ask him more questions in each class. It makes it fast, and less annoying to people to take notes. The test questions are completely confusing, and are more unexpected than you can believe. So, write TRANSCRIPTS, not notes.

Don't study less than three weeks, three hours a day on notes. Don't start watching lectures, even a week before a test. Try a month. Don't stop asking him questions. Don't let him pause to stutter. It really breaks focus for studying the lectures. Don't write just notes, write TRANSCRIPTS. Share notes. Don't write too many notes over 80 pages.

Find former notes in the class. Find the time to study notes not more than 3 hours daily, at least of 22 days to finish watching the lectures, or going to class in person. Find adequate time to study three hours directly. Write the lectures as TRANSCRIPTS, and find the least discussed and minor examples he explains in class. Test questions!

It was awful. Only at least 3 other people out of the other 256 in the Groupme would bother making notes. Less than half the total class came to in-person classes. The professor stutters and breaks his own lectures. He doubts the students' progress too much. You can only rely on Student Success Center, and past students' notes. Share notes.

Find another class, or study hard for three weeks before any exam. This class is pure stress. No extra credit. All test questions is random selected for each student. No way to take one with another student. Almost no one bothers asking questions in class, so he stammers and interrupts the lecture too many times to ask students for questions.

The class is too discouraging. Find another that at least makes studying with a group help your chances happen of passing. Just failing two of these tests automatically make you fail the class. Don't write over 80 notes for each exam. Write enough to memorize, but write down everything said in each class as a transcript. It is that hard of a class.

Save yourself the stress, and take another science-based class. Anthropology, botany, etc. But, If you do choose this course, know this. No extra credit. Every class is recorded, no attendance needed. But each lecture takes over 3 and a half hours of writing. The tests are never the same for each person. So, you need notes on all lectures.

Don't take him. It's never improved. He only continues to whine about people not studying enough despite the majority of the class always passed the tests with flying colors. And the tests are too stressful. Too many things are recycled. It's awful. The GroupMe isn't much of a help either. It's meaningless.

Buono was a great professor. His lectures are funny and they made a lot of sense for me, and I enjoyed the subject. You can tell he genuinely cares about the subject and students. The past comments all rating him a low score should be disregarded. As long as you go to lecture and study you will do great.

Don't underestimate the rules. But don't let the lectures intimidate you. It can be done to learn these complex topics in an adequate amount of time, but the limits regarding the test questions can be discouraging. I would say you should study with others, and share notes. But not to the point where they are completely alike. Cover each lecture.

I've never left a review before but I'm making an exception because some butthurt loser is review-bombing this guy. His class is great, he moves fast when lecturing but begs you to stop him and ask for clarification. The exams aren't cumulative and you can use your notes, no memorization is required. So the only way to fail is to not pay attention

One of my favorite professors that I've had. This is a difficult class but the professor makes sure to be as thorough as possible, repeats info multiple times, is passionate about teaching, and encourages questions always. Tests are hard and feel tight on time but come to class/rewatch lecture recordings, take good notes, and study. You'll be fine!

Take this class if you're looking for hard work. Don't go to off topic in the GroupMe chat, just use the old notes he shares, and write your own. He was right about the recordings being too long to procrastinate on. Use your time wisely, and you should have some decent notes. Some downtime in the library wouldn't hurt.
