I think he is really good,i learned a lot from his class and i would recommend this teacher.he gives the final before hand and thats a good chance to get an easy A.take him

Mr Cho's class is the best choice I made so far.His class was the first one I took at SMC,and I dont think there could be a better teacher to have,especially if you are new to college.He was so nice,helpful and comprehensive in class.Math(which can be horrible)was fun&interesting to learn with him.I would choose him as my teacher again if I could.

Collects hw every day, but is very lenient on letting you turn it in late. I did all the hw and projects(reviews) and attended class daily an got an A. It's probably best to take if you've seen calculus before and just want to advance to math 8. Overall, I would recommend to take.

Good Teacher. He explains EVERYTHING that you will need to know for his test. His class is only easy if you do the homework and the projects. I'm taking my next class with him again.

ok his english isn't perfect but he isn't a bad teacher...quite easy if you do the work and come to class well for all math classes you should go to class or else you'll fall behind unless you know it already. the guy teaches well, you don't even have to understand his english half the time to get the material anyway.

Mr. Cho is a great teacher! Trust me. In the beginning I was gettting a D and by the end of the class i got an A!! Just make sure you do ALL your homework and ASK QUESTIONS if you dont understand. He's willing to help and hes nice. You should definetely take him!

Mr. Cho is a fantastic teacher. I enjoyed listening to his lectures because they were not only easy-to-comprehend, but also entertaining with the appreciated joyfulness that he displayed. If you understood the lectures and did the homework, then there is no question that you could have just walked away with a very easy A. I am still thankful today.

Perfect! He is the best professor in Santa monica at least math course. Even if you are not good at math, you can understand Math with Cho. If you ask a question, he always give you answer with easy way. You have review before test. There are mostly same as test. And There are alway extra credits on the test. You are lucky if you take him.

Cho is one of the best at SMC and I HIGHLY recommend him. He is extremely patient, VERY friendly and knowledgeable of the subject. He even worked for NASA, but isn't condescending AT ALL! He really is the best of both worlds! You learn a LOT, and if you care to look at the practice tests, which DO pop up modified on the test, you'll get the A too!

Hard to understand at first, but slowly you begin to realize it isn't because of his accent, but your lack of willingness to REALLY learn and have fun with it! If you came to learn English, wrong place. If you came to learn MATH, there IS NO better place; for both the learning AND the grade. Doesn't make math more complicated like other profs!

For those who criticize his English, shame on you. I learned from his class (this may sound corny) that Math itself is a language that needs to be learned and mastered. Cho helped me be fluent in that language. I'm so glad I took his class! I actually kinda get it now! Allows you to understand Math. Uses common sense unlike most other profs!

Mr. Cho.. Mr. Cho.. Mr. Cho.. haha what a fun/comedic semester. Mr. Cho is definitely one of the best professors at SMC by far. If you are serious with this class, you will easily get an A. He assigns extra credit on every test and drops your lowest test score. Best of all, you can even turn in all your homework on the last day for full credit!

Take this class,and do your work, you definitely get A. Even there is extra credit that is 10% over all. This is huge thing. If your final grade is B, then you gonna add up 10% for getting A.

This guy makes me laugh, quotes "im not an actor, im not Tom cruise." Don't ask questions, he doesnt like them, he will say. "are you awien? you come from pruto?" Pretty easy class, just do the homework and you should do alright. Quizes are easy, theres like 4 quizes and a final. the quizes consist of two chapters with 10-15 questions; final is 50

Prof. Cho is a hilarious man. He explains everything clearly and cracks up lame jokes that will make your day. I would highly recommend taking him!

Great teacher! Always available for questions, never makes anyone feel dumb. Homework is all odd numbers so you can check your answers- so you get the material. Tests are straightforward. A lot of extra credit. He goes a little fast through the material, so pay attention. But he will always slow down and answer anything someone doesn't get.

This professor is super funny and EASY!! Kinda conry jokes, and calls you an alien sometimes, but extremely good teacher. Easy to understand and to follow in class. Could turn in hm last day and still get full credit. Test reviews are almmost the same as test. Easy A if you pay attention and do hm.

Took during summer session, 2006. Collected homework. Not very willing to go over questions from earlier math, so be prepared. Answers questions. I don't recall if attendance was factored into the grade, but it may have been. Overall not a bad teacher, and I thought somewhat funny. At least once I thought he was wrong about a test question grading.

Great teacher but really hard on test. The tests are really long and he does not give enough time to take tests. I never got to finish not even one test.

So many people dropped.Half the class left by the end of the semester.This teacher is not bad, most of the people probably didn't understand algebra.He can be funny at times. Just really heavy accent which you can get used to. He gives reviews so you know what will be on the test.

I HATE math but he really does teach and if you have a question he will answer. He tells you weekly how your doing in the class and is funny calls pple aliens and terrorist super amusing. I got an A because I really tried and other got B. Want to take him again for math20. Needs to teach more classes! I really did learen from him.

His tests are extremely easy, and if you do the study guides, they're extra points. Homework is more or less easy as well. He helped simplify math, such that I'm not anti-math anymore.

I took his course over the winter. This is NOT an "easy A" class. Be prepared to study EVERYDAY. His tests are based on the review and he offers a lot of extra credit. Be respectful and he will answer your questions and clear up any confusion. This is not an easy subject and this class has been extremely challenging but I still received an A.

Seriously one of the best teachers at SMC. if u want a teacher that goes by the book I highly recommend mr cho. One of the funniest teachers. He's also a wicked cool guy. I got an A. Best professor to have in the winter or summer. He goes a little fast but he drops the lowest test grade. All his test are based on his review sheet. Explains stuff really well. I took math 2 with professor Cho during the summer and he is an amazing teacher. He goes over everything the book does, step by step he also replaces your lowest grade with your final grade and offers a lot of extra credit. To get an A in the class, do the HW!!, and go over the practice tests! His tests are very similar to the practice tests.

the Math classes are hard for most of the students. You need to work hard for a good grade. Professor Cho gives a good chance to raise you grade by extra credits: attendance + home work + review sheet give you a lot of extra credits.Follow all this and you be totally fine. Mr. Cho is a great teacher. He provides all reviews prior to the tests and finals. It is easy to receive an A in his class if you attend regularly and do the homework. He can be hard to understand at times and will jokingly call you an alien. If you are patient and ask clear questions you will get the help you are looking for.

He's very helpful and lets you know what to prepare for he won't surprise you with any stuff that he hasn't cover. He's extremely helpful as long you do your part he will do his part and all you really need to do is the HW because that is practice for the test, he will say that himself. EXCELLENT Teacher.

I was taking Prof. Cho's Math 7 class in winter semester. Although he sometimes made some small mistake, his teaching was clear and easy to understand. He also gives a lot of extra credits. If you want to get A in this class, you need to do all the homework, review and study his note.

Professor Cho is a very fair and helpful teacher. He explains the material in a very clear way and prefers to avoid confusing and difficult definitions from the book. His tests are very fair because they are almost entirely based on homework. If you do everything he assigns you will always be 100% ready for them - just don't be lazy and study hard.

You have a lot of extra credit. His lectures might be a little confusing, and his exams are fairly easy (if you did the study guide, and memorize the procedure he used). In the end you'll get along with it.

This is a difficult class, but Mr. Cho is the best math teacher I have ever had. 4 exams and a final (replace lowest exam), mandatory homework, extra credit. Highly recommend this teacher for Math 2. You have to spend time to do hw, review sheet and come to class every day to understand the concepts. Don't make your own rule or then you will be an "ALIEN". DO all the hw, ready for test and for review sheet make your own number and try it by yourself to earn a excellent grade.

Most people don't like Mr. Cho because he actually pushes students to do their best and not slack off. His tests are easy if you actually did your homework and paid attention in class. He's an amazing professor and really cares about his students!

This class is incredibly productive. If you have troubles with math, you CAN learn a lot from Professor Cho. Nonetheless you have to do the homework and attentive in class. He's a very straightforward professor and is always willing to meet during office hours and tell you what you need to succeed in the class.

Admittedly, his level is not low. Takes attendance both in and out. Explain the lecture material clearly if you pay attention. Wouldn't be inpatient if being asked to explain the same problem again and again on review sheets. He has strict point by point grading system in test paper. Take him if you like challenges and straight-forward tests.

I met with this class once a week for 3 hours. The lecture is quite long since he will never let you out early. Although the lecture is long he is a wonderful professor. All the notes you take in class will be answers to the homework questions which will also be the same ones on the test. He is the best math professor I''ve ever had I recommend

It's been 10 years since I took math and I honestly thought that coming back to it would make me hate it more. Good teacher, gives you everything you need to learn and receive a good grade. The practice tests he gives are extremely helpful. If you get perfect on exams and show up to class everyday you will get 110%

You need to do your homeworks and work maybe 30 min a day you will get an A+. He is not a great professor but he definetely is not bad!!

Professor Cho gives a study guide (for extra credit) before every quiz/test which is almost identical to the actual quiz/test itself. So as long as you practice using the homework and study guide, you should do well in the class. I got an F the first time taking math 20 with another professor, but passed Cho's class with an A+.

Professor Michael Cho is a good professor, he encourages at every students to study hard. He covers all material of the course and the homework that every student need to do is the complement for a better comprehension of the different topics in the course. I recommend this class.

An amazing professor ! If you really want to pass his class, you have to do one simple thing STUDY!! If you have a hard time learning I also recommend counseling 58 take these two classes and you'll definitely get an A. No excuses he gives you a study guide study practice and you'll pass. The study guide is almost the same as the exams.

Prof. Cho is an amazing teacher. His English may be broken but that doesn't stop him from teaching well. Extremely organized and teaches by the book. He's open to questions and really tries to help everyone. He also really cares about his students, he always tells us to study and better our future. He has a list of the entire semester's homework ready the first day you come to class. He follows that and stays organized. Test are not hard as long as you do your homework, simply study. He also gives us take home exams which are basically the same as the actual test. It helps a lot, he gives extra credit for them too. He's a great teacher.

Pretty easy A but you have to put in the work. He provides a list of all the hw you have to do (It's a lot but it helps you learn), gives study guides for exams (study them because the exams are the same thing as the study guide, he just changes numbers around), and the math lab is also there to help.

Do the homework. It is test heavy, but it is guided with a take home. Don't fall asleep and be lazy.

He gives extra credit study guides that are identical to the hw problems in the book and they show up on the exam the same exact way, so all it takes is practice to ace the class. He can be vague and harsh in his lectures but there's no way to fail if you just do the work.

Easy class. Homework is already assign on the syllabus. Tests practically come from the hw and study guide. If you don't do all the hw, your grade could drop. He does have an accent, but you're still able to understand want he says. Straight forward lectures.

Gives good feedback in each exam (4 in total). Every extra homework are questions from the test so homework is a MUST in the class. Has an accent but you get used to after a while, clear lectures and very funny and organized. Gives funny stories and just has a great attitude. RECOMMEND HIM!
