This class is not hard. However, you MUST STUDY!! And i don't mean the day before the test. Read the chapters, keep up with the notes, and he will help you get an A. He's very interesing. Although you have to study, you will learn some interesting stuff. I enjoyed it.

Mr. Dalman is one of the most amazing teachers I have ever had. Not only is he helpful in many ways, but he is straight forward and tells you exactly what he expects from you in his class. He is definitely worth taking!

The class is hard and boring. You need to like science to do well in his class. The video, lab, and extra credit assignments will help you but everything else you have to work for. I passed with a C but just barely, the extra credit saved me. If you are bad at science don't take any science classes at Blinn. All the teachers are hard.

Oceanography was sweet. Dalman was cool and laid back. It was a pretty easy class all you had to do was study what he told you not so much using the book for everything. Our class came with a lab book and If you answered all of the questions in the lab book you should be able to pass.

Great teacher loves to get students involved in labs and activities. Very energetic . Test can be hard if you don't study

Oceanography was a easy with Dalman . Lectures are easy and fun. Watch out for pop quizzes study online stuff for the exams

Have him for 1403 blended . Nice teacher, I like the blended class half the class is online and half in class. You must stay on top of the online stuff other than that the class is great!

Dalman is a fantastic teacher. Recommend him highly! His blended course is awesome. Just watch the videos, and do the online quizzes (answers are in the textbook). The lab sheets are easy, and you do them in groups and you have the whole week to do them.

Dalman is so chill. He wants you to pass. Make sure you buy a clicker so you can take the quizzes in class (he gives you the answers, basically) He will give you extra credit just by helping him wthe recycling around campus. The assignments are the in-class labs and the tests. The labs are group work but we would each do some and then copy.

i took online, you can look up all answers to weelky quizs and the geology labs on google.. i never opened my lab book or kit so dont waste your $. Tests are department standard and have to be taken in the learning center. For a online science it really cant be more easy. Great lecs, kept my attention. I would deff take him again. Great class.

Never watched a lecture or opened book, but tests were hard and class was time consuming. Everyday you have a MG hw, lab (most days), and discussion (easy). I made high Cs and low Bs on all tests but he curves the tests and gives about 30 pts extra credit. Do well on lab, extra credit, and MG and you can get an A or B. Don't try and you will fail.

Took him online for summer II along with another class. I can honestly say this has been one of my hardest class. Gives a lot of work but i felt it was fair due to 4 credits in 5 wks. Gives a lot of extra credit which is very helpful. Hardly studied for his tests and they are very hard. Finished with a B. Will take him again!!!

Very good professor. Cares about you and understand that life isn't always easy or fair. Keeps you upbeat and awake for sure! I definitely recommend him to anyone.

Took this online in the summer. He is super animated so his lectures aren't boring. Its not necessary to read the book. DO THE STUDY MODULES ONLINE they are literally word for word his tests, I made A's on all of them. It is a lot of work if you do a summer class but that's to be expected. Overall he is a good prof and I would take him again!

I took this class during the Summer mini mester. That was a mistake but our professor was very helpful if you had any questions. There is a lot of reading involved with this class to be prepared for that. If you do your work, participate in the discussion post, and study you will do okay. I was going to drop this class but I am glad I stuck it out.

I took this class as an online class. Definitely need to concentrate on this class, there was a good bit of homework. The tests are like the study modules, so do the modules! However, some stuff came from the book. He curves the tests which is nice. This definitely was not an easy class, but it was not bad. If you take it, just be prepped for it.

This guy curves tests like no other and considering I studied the day of for his lab exams, this was a blessing. He is super passionate and just wants you to take interest. Respect his passion and the nature of the course and you'll do fine.

He is passionate about his subject and works hard to help students understand the material. The tests are hard if you don't study for them, but he does curb them. If you work hard and try to understand the material, you will have no problem in this class.

Easy grades such as online homework and weekly discussion posts but exams are pretty hard and I studied quite a bit but I assume that will be with any geology class! lab midterm was by far the worst, class average was a 55 lol. MEMORIZE DYNAMIC STUDY MODULES. They're extra credit too! Not the hardest class I've taken but don't expect an easy A.

The class does involve a lot of work, but if you stick to it, you'll be fine. The professor is a very funny guy who you can tell loves his job. He is man who is never in a bad mood and expects us to master the course which is a good thing. The class does involve a lot of work out of the class, but the things you learn a worth it.

Class was a good class to take for non science major

I took this class to cover one of my life science electives. I would recommend taking this class and professor. It is a lot of homework and 7 tests, but the homework's and lab write ups are not that hard. The exams are not that hard either. The key to making good grades on the tests is to study the mastering geology dynamic study modules.

Not horrible, just make sure you do your homework every night and keep up with the labs. If you do that you should be at all A's other than the exams, just study the study modules and MAKE SURE to understand the processes behind them and don't just memorize because there are true/false on tests. His curves will save you, expect a B.

Out of all the science classes at Blinn and the killer classes and professors, this is not even close to terrible. It's easy knowledge and all you have to really do is put a little bit of effort. If you spend a good day or two on the mastering geology modules the tests are easy and mostly true or false honestly. I'd take this class over any other

Much respect for Mr. Dalman, a lot of material but very helpful in passing this class. I did not do well on the 5 tests that were given but with extra credit and completion of most homework (a lot) I passed. Very intelligent in this subject and awe

Took this class online for the fall semester, and Dalman was awesome. If you are not good with science courses I highly recommend taking this online like I did. It seems like a ton of homework each week at first but its really not. Only thing is there are 7 tests within the semester.

First this is a college course. So I am not sure why all the people are complaining about no reviews. Duhh. Welcome to college!! He posts his cell phone , I texted him all the time with questions I would tell anyone be prepared to do some work to get. An A in his class. ( yes I did ). It is not non-science majors course.

I freaking LOVED working with Dalman. He is one of those one in a million teachers who actually care about the students, their well being and their grades. His class pet Whiskers the catfish is awesome. DO NOT be on your phone during class tho, he's hardcore about it. Also - DON'T cheat, and don't buy a pre-owned lab because HE CHANGES THE ANSWERS.

Took Dalman for an online summer course and I would highly recommend. Tests are HARRRRD but if you study homework you will pass. Make sure to do the extra credit because it will help in the end w/ tests and your final grade. All tests had to be taken at the testing center or pay for ProctorU. He curved every single test, even the final! TAKE HIM!

I highly recommend this class with prof Dalman if youre lookin to get a life and physical science credit. There are lots of online resources that you can use to make this class really easy. Quizlet came in clutch for this class. This class is the way to go if youre lookin for a easy transfer credit to your college or university.

dalman is a good professor b/c he is easy to contact. this class is easy if you USE YOUR RESOURCES!!!!! quizlet comes in clutch and so does chegg. the tests are super hard so be prepared to study the mastering geology and the lab quizzes. be prepared to use flipgrid for labs. tests are proctored!!!

One of my favorite professors that I had at Blinn. As long as you give your best effort you will pass.

Dalman himself is great. He is super charismatic and very passionate about geology. However, the course is A LOT of work. Do not take this course if you are going on vacation or are busy in any kind of way. There is at least one lab, homework, and discussion post due every day and it is just a lot of information all at once.

The subject Prof Dalman teaches can be very difficult if you are not interested. To pass his class, you MUST understand the course material completely. This class is very easy if you are interested in Geology, its very difficult if you are taking to fill up a schedule. 100% recommend, one fo the few Prof whos class was fun every day.

Professor Dalman is a great professor! He gives his students all of the materials that you will need to do good in his class. And when he says that this particular thing will be on the test, it will be.

Be ready to work! The professor is awesome and a great professor!! If you pay attention you will get to learn some interesting facts about things we take for granted. He also gives hints that are going to be on the test, so if you takes notes you should be good to go

I took Professor Dalman for Physical Geology and he was amazing! He is really interested in what he teaches and tries to make it fun which is always a plus. He is so easy to get in touch with and answers back fast. Personally I definitely recommend in person not online. The effort you put in is the great you will get. His class was one of my favs.

Prof. Dalman was a great professor! He is clearly passionate about the subject and very knowledgeable. I appreciated how accessibly he was for questions, even on the weekends. The course is moderately difficult, especially memorizing all the rocks and minerals, but the labs and assignments are helpful for understanding the material.

Great teacher, very enthusiastic about his topics. I took it in a 4 week summer class, and I would not recommend doing that as it is very hard to balence all the coursework in 4 weeks, but I can see it would be much better in a normal 8 week course. Overall as a professor he is amazing.

Professor Dalman is one of my favorite professors I have ever taken at Blinn. He is very enthusiastic about Geology and encourages all of his students. He is very quick about emailing back, but he gives out his personal phone number so we can text him with any questions at any time. He is very funny and very caring towards his students.
