Great Prof. BUT SOOOO HARD!!! Be prepared to work!! and learn :)
Sexyist Man Alive!!!!
Really Cool and very hot
Good looking and very interesting! He's a ten.
Hard, but interesting ... and you wanna go to class just to see him
Made me glad to be a history major! Interesting course and a GREAT teacher
Best prof I ever ... and very clever
Great Prof
You're the man!
Made me a History Major -Love his Southern course
Best course I've ever had.
in history course you shouldn't teach philosophy
My favorite prof
Very cool guy, always has time for students.
Nice guy. Don't EVER hand something in late. Hard marker! Smart tho!
Very enthusiastic, can keep your attention and always has shiney shoes!
very approachable and friendly

Very yummy!!!
Boyishly sexy and yet smart too!!!Yum
Beautiful, minus the forced part in his hair, too bad he's married with kids

Great professor-i've learned so much!!!
Great guy! Great Prof! Have you ever not seen him in a suit?
Professors don't get any better. Has provided me with the most encouraging comments. Always has time for students, values their opinions.
the nicest prof and person ever! Always makes time for his students. Snappy dresser too!
should have been a preacher
lectures like william shatner, alot of useless information
Wonderful prof.-extremely compassionate!

Nice guy...a little too excitable for me, but very helpful.

Great Prof, best one in the history department in my opinion.

Amazing! Never a dull moment, makes you want to go to class! He's a fair marker, if you know your stuff you'll do well.
A fair marker for sure---he is the easiest prof in the department. Simply repeat his "brilliant" insights and you will get an A--whether you or not you can write. I thought that I was taking history, but it is really intro philosophy. A real nap
Best History teacher in the department
My first history course...and I have to say he makes it pretty interesting. A snazzy dresser, and not to bad on the eyes, intellegent and always helpful to his students. love this Proff.
really nice guy, really cares about his students and about the course. a little unclear at times, very philosophical approach to history with little empathisis on facts like dates and places
My favourite professor!!! I look forward to his lectures. He responds quickly to e-mails, and he attempts to have every student interested in the subject. He also gets to know students on a personal basis. He's not hard to look at during class either! ;)

Best prof I've had...very approachable and great person - get a bad rep for dressing professionally -what a shame.
Absolutely love Dr. D! He is the best professor that i have had, I highly reccomend you take one of his classes! :)
One of the Best I have ever to help you no matter what it is on or when it is for. Always interesting and fun. Discussionhad!! Always willing groups can be a little hard. Take one of his classes!!
too much work.
Dull, and unengaging
Great class even if it is at 8:30. He loves to talk so be wary. Class Presentations will be cut off by his additional comments! Nevertheless, he's really interesting, kinda talks like William Shatner and easy on the eyes.
amazing professor! Always there to help his students, and he is a truly brilliant man. not to mention, he's pretty darn nice to look at.
An excellent teacher
Smart and sexy man on campus and yet a nice guy at the same time!!! Will definitely take more of his classes.
He doesn't teach etiquette. He might impress some chicks, but that's not what he is paid for.He resents students. We were all used as hostages during their frigging strike.Eh dennis why don't you strike when classes are done? You think teaching labour relations excuses u heartless dilettante.
Good prof who encourages class discussion and draws you into the subject matter. Decent marker on term papers, yet demands way too much on the final exam.
Awesome prof, very engaging!!! Worth every penny I paid for this course. A++
A great prof, always willing to help you with papers/assignments. Very easy to listen to, very knowledgable, and a real hottie ;)
He is very unclear, weird use of words. Hard time understanding his teachings.
He's a wonderful teacher and very empathetic!!! (PSST...and very open to mark UP-grades. Just have to attend class!)
Nice prof ; boring class.
Such a great course. He was really big on discussions, so he could find sly ways to make sure you were paying attention and on the right track. He's also very accepting of individual writing styles. I'm a science major in an arts class and he was very enthusiastic about a science spin I put on a history paper.

Dr. Dennis is such a wonderful (and sexy) history god! Compassionate, smart, funny and entertaining - all you could ever want in a history prof. YUMMMM
snazzy dresser!
One of the best profs at Acadia! Even if you are a slacker, plead ignorance, get help and you're rockin with an A. Choice classes.
Awesome Prof! Willing to help out students as much as possible, lots of reading but fair amounts of work.
He is the best. He cares about learning. And he is HOT!
Very Compassion and very smart. Was there was more of his kind at this institution.
He seems to look for the answers he gives you in class recited back. . . thought this stage of education was more about questioning and exploring material rather than regurgitation. He would do well as a graduate level educator -but not so much here. . . WHY THE 8:30's!?!?!
He's the Man!
Awesome prof. Understanding and so intelligent!!! :)
Dullest class ever! He knows what he is talking about but it is hard to learn anything from him. He is extremely hard to take notes from since he goes sooo fast. He bounces back and forth in the time periods so you never know what is going on when. Oh, and he LIKES 8:30 classes, well most of us don't! Needs to lighten up course (esp. after strike)!
He was a great prof but he does talk rather fast. He is extremely intelligent but at 8:30 in the morning most of us can't quite keep up completely. I did learn a lot from him though and he is soo interested in the things he is teaching, it makes you want to learn. there is a very bit of reading..
Way too overbearing. Says "wild" and "time out, people!" way too much, and refers to his students collectively as "gang." Too much to take so early in the morning. More about historical ideas than events, and is hard to follow. Makes you discuss the concepts with the person beside you every ten minutes, which is inane and annoying.
Awesome prof. Keeps class brisk and interesting ... if you can't handle 8:30s then don't take these classes.
awesome
Really cares about his students. He has a heart of gold.
all acadia professors can learn something from dennis. dennis is the kind of person that is meant to teach... he is great at it, and he sincerely cares about your success. he needs a raise because he is substantially better than any other professor that i have ever had.... acadia is lucky to have him.
If you attend class, do all the work and put the effort in you will do good. He is a fair grader, and is more than willing to help.
He's a great professor. For any History Students, you will not find a professor more passionate about what he is teaching, or more eager to share that passion with his students. He tried to tie together all the historical thread to focus on the big picture, which is a powerful way of teaching history for those who catch on. One of the best Acadia.
This guy was the reason I switched my major to history. Besides being a total cutie, his lessons had depth, were extremely challenging, and he had a good sense of humor. Some of the readings really made me think, which is what a like, rather than memorizing facts.
Dr Dennis' lectures are amazing. I've taken multiple classes from him and I learned so much about American history. You have to work hard to get good marks, but he's very willing to help.
It's evident that Dr. Dennis is passionate about history. He brings an abundance of energy and enthusiasm to class. His lectures are also very informative. The material is fairly easy to follow, but you have to keep up with the readings. And there are a lot of assigned readings, especially for a 1st year course!
Passionate about the subject matter & is willing to help students in whatever way he can. His lectures are really engaging, & he is just a nice person all around. Going to class, doing the readings, & going to his office hours/tutorials are essential to doing well. Would definitely take another Dennis course!
Dennis is my favourite prof! Office is always open for questions, he wants to be involved in the work you're doing and he answers emails immediately. Is very knowledgable of the topics covered but wants you to be too. Has high expectations but if you keep in contact with him a good grade is achievable. His class is a lot of fun!
Simply awesome ... changed my outlook on everything. Was brilliant at the Martin Luther King Day conference! I love this man!
Best and most caring prof ever! Easy on the eyes, too!
A true gentleman, passionate about his work and progress of students in his class.
Michael Dennis is passionate about everything he talks about. He is definitely there for you if you go to him with questions in class or office hours. Do the readings and participate in class and you will do extremely well!
Professor Dennis is fantastic! Even though his lectures are early in the morning, he keeps it interesting and engaging. Do the readings, participate, and you'll absolutely love him. He loves it when people come to his office hours, and just loves talking about his subject. He's a genuinely likeable prof, and that translates straight to the course!
Dr Dennis is really passionate about the courses that he teaches. He tries to make the course material matter to his students. As he walks them through history, making connections and thinking critically are areas where he pushes students to quite readily. He truly cares about his Student's success and wants them to become a leader in society.
Michael Dennis is a very knowledgeable person. He is very passionate and really knows what he is talking about. He does a great job at tying critical thinkers and puts emphasis on the important aspects of the course.
Dennis is the best prof I've had here. He's incredibly well-spoken, he's clear with his expectations, his readings and assignments are challenging at times, but 100% reasonable. If you're ever struggling, his office hours are fantastic, and he is willing to talk with you until you fully understand. Definitely take his class if you have a chance!
Really passionate, smart and approachable. Would recommend. He's a pretty funny guy.
Straight up best prof I've had at Acadia. He's so well spoken, and his lectures are amazing. If you're struggling to keep up, go to office hours! He'll seriously talk with you until you get it, and provide extra reading if you're really interested in something. 10/10 recommend.
Dr. Dennis is a phenomenal prof with lots of charisma. Lectures are engaging and enjoyable even in the early mornings. He is also very helpful and encourages his students to do well. Best prof I've had yet.
Dr. Dennis is the most passionate professor I have ever met. He makes 8:30am lectures easy to go to and has a great way of teaching. No one has an urge to be distracted by phones or laptops when he teaches, because he engages the whole class & makes everyone interested, I love it. He has awesome feedback and makes sure students do their best
Okay, RELAX when writing on the board, its not a race! It is nearly impossible to read this mans writing, he gives little to no hints on what the exam will be on and overall this class is wack. DO NOT TAKE IF YOU DONT LOVE HSTORY
Awesome - engaging, empathetic, and enjoyable to watch!!!! Ladies and Gents
Dr. Dennis is the best professor in the history department at Acadia. He genuinely cares about you and your success. He is always willing to help you out if you ask for it. Very engaging lecturer. He is so passionate about his teaching, and you can really pick up on that. HIGHLY recommend.
I transferred out of Acadia, but he alone would be a reason to transfer back. I recommend Acadia University to everyone as a great University but you MUST try at least one of his classes. He rewards those who put in the work, not just with grades but with knowledge and understanding. If you put in the effort you will be rewarded!
Michael Dennis is the best professor in the entire university. He is so kind, engaging, and understanding. He definitely expects you to participate and put in the work, but he genuinely cares about your success and wants to help you in any way that he can. He also takes the time to get to know you as a person. An absolute must if you go to Acadia.
He is an amazing and caring professor. I would highly recommend taking classes with him whenever possible!
Dennis is a really understand and fun prof to have, you can tell he is very knowledgeable! It is very reading heavy and if you don't read then you won't be able to get your participation points. He also posts slides but they often don't contain much of what he said when lecturing, so make sure you take notes!!
Dennis was a pleasure to have as a professor. The class was definitely difficult and you'll have to attend and take notes, but it's absolutely worth it. He's passionate, entertaining, and empathetic. I'd love to have the opportunity to take him again!
Best History teacher in Acadia. If you show up and take notes you're A is guaranteed. Just be careful in class because sometimes he tends to lecture quickly as it shows he's very passionate about what he's teaching. He cares more about quality than quantity. Therefore expect him to challenge and improve your critical thinking and understanding.
Hands down best prof I've had. His lecture style doesn't pair well with passively taking the course, you have to be taking notes the whole time because he rarely has text on the slides, but there's not a moment when he's not engaging the class. Incredibly responsive in office hours and really cares about all his students.
Best History prof around. If you have the opportunity to take a class with Dennis please do, the most thoughtful and understanding prof at Acadia. Cares about the success of his students and puts lots of time and effort into his lectures to make them captivating. Make sure to take notes. And if he plays a song in class, write it down, bonus points!
He is an absolutely amazing prof and all his classes, he's very passionate about his class and his students and is excellent with feedback and guidance, if you have classes with him or see classes that he's teaching, go for it! You'll absolutely love it
Dr. Dennis is "lecture heavy," but with interesting and engaging lectures. You can tell he is passionate about the topics covered. Very reasonable marker, and is very understanding when it comes to personal situations and needing extensions. Critical yet fun classes.
Dr. Dennis is the best history prof at Acadia. His lectures are interesting, he is an extremely fair grader, and he truly wants his students to do well. His lectures are packed with information, but honestly as long as you show up and pay attention you're guaranteed to pass with flying colours. 10/10 prof.
Prof. Dennis' lectures are engaging and thought-provoking. Attend class, take notes, and use resources like Unstuck ai to ace this course. Reasonable grading, understanding of personal situations.
Does not post much info on slides, so attendance is mandatory. Really great prof, good lectures, fair grading, not an insane amount of work
What a guy. Dennis is genuinely the most caring and kind prof at Acadia. Always open to changing the syllabus, giving extensions, and covering alternative assignments. Don't expect to tune out in class, show up and take notes and you'll do well. If you're confused, he'll go over things as many times as you need. Peace, love, and Michael Dennis
