An interesting teacher with lots of enthusiam

he is an excellent professor. explains and lectures very well. willing to help out in any way possible. makes the material fun, interesting and applies it to everyday life, for a better understanding!!! GREAT

Great Personality, Funny. Definently keeps the material coverd very intresting. Great movtivation. ALWAYS in a good mood. However, he does have alot of time consuming work...and the test are pretty tough.

Great teacher, very funny. Gives take home tests. Only problem is he gives study guides for each chapter, and they take a while to complete, but he does give ample time to complete them. What ever you do, don't call him a devil! :)

Mike is a great teacher! He really makes sure you get what he's teaching. He is very concerned with student opinion on how he teaches and takes into consideration. He makes class interesting and fun. Study guides are a pain but they help A WHOLE LOT!

This teacher is fun, entertaining, silly and knows his stuff. Loves to interact with his class. Although he has more than the usual assignments, he makes them fun and learning is not a chore with his teaching style.

Excellent prof. I took both his general psych and lifes&d, just because he was the teacher. His studyguides will make you want to strangle youself though! However, he makes his class so comfortable, because he truly wants you to understand and learn. Very willing to help you with and questions. Take him, he's great!

Enthusiastic & thorough. You must read and do the tedious study guides but they DO help. He is flexible and cool. He does not respond quickly to some emails when he doesn't feel like it so you are SOL if you need a quick answer.

Makes you write short papers before every test but doen't grade them to critically. My brother and I took the it at the same time. He slept during lecture and studied later, I listened to lecture and didn't study and I made the higher grade. So go to class and you won't have to study too hard, but he does give good review sheets.

so enthusiastic! always smiling and in a good mood. he makes learning fun and relates class concepts to everyday life. shows a lot of video clips which make class more interesting. his study guides take a while to do, but u don't need to study for the tests if u finish them all.

Awesome professor. I took the class during summer and I was too busy partying to do the work so I got a C, but it was so interesting I changed my major after that class.

Devoley knows his psychology. If you do all of the study guides, learning options, and the TONS of extra credit he gives, you literally dont have to worry about your test grades even though they are multiple choice. He's a really cool guy, more than just a prof, he actually cares about his students! TAKE HIM! he's awesome.

You work hard for the grade, but it is there for the taking if you apply yourself. He's not bad to look at, so it makes class more interesting

I took both his gen. psych and lifespan class and i enjoyed it! He makes his lectures so interesting that you're going to want to come to his class. As long as you do all the learning options and the infamous study guides, then you'll be ok. I highly recommend Mr. Devoley if you need to take any psych class.

Really fun class. Some work outside of class, but you will enjoy it if you like Psych. Very fun lectures...really makes you laugh. I loved it. Easy Class...gives lots of extra credit!

This professor is one of the best!! If you have an opportunity to take any of the psyc courses he teaches, grab it...you will learn a lot and have fun. He is great.

Devo is the coolest psych teacher I have ever had! He really has a passion for his job. There is alot of work involved in this class, but he gives you ample amounts of extra credit to boost a low score on something. If you want a teacher who will help you LEARN the material and who provides a great atmosphere, take this class!

HE IS THE BEST PSYC PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD!!! he is sooo funny! he loves what he teachers and it really helps you get into the class. He does give out study guides that require a good amount of time to finish but as long as you stay on top of it you should be fine. I would recommend him for any class he teaches!!

Devoley is one of the BEST prof's I've had so far. He makes the course fun and enjoyable. He's really funny too! If you work hard, you can make an A+.

Devo is awesome! He is hilarious, helpful, and pretty much hunky too!! He's very understand of personal situations, and works with you to help you make the grade! Lots and lots of extra credit - but make sure you do the study guides and learning options - like he says they're learning options, but they're not optional. Overall a great teacher!

he's fun & its soooo easy

Gives lots of extra credit, but also makes at least 50 points of it mandatory :/ also makes the study guides for each chapter way too long, since we discuss it in class anyway, you basically see the same thing over and over again, and it bores you enoughto probably stop paying attention so far into the semester

Very entertaining and keeps your attention throughout class. Does have a lot of out of class work to do, but gives lots of extra credit so you can slack when you need to.

Devoley is absolutely wonderful. I learned a lot in this class!! He is sooo energetic and so funny, I love his class. He really ENJOYS teaching. 1/2 of what we talk about is sex & drugs, but he is so funny that it doesn't bother me. ha. His tests are typically take home, he gives TONS and TONSSSS of extra credit, and the papers are super easy.

This class is really fun. Prof. Devoley has a really funny personality that you will end up likeing psychology. He gives a lot of work to do that it has to be turned in the day of the test, but he also gives tons of extra credit, and if you do everything, you will have an A garanteed.

Freaking awesome teacher, a lot of work, but if you failed a test or paper you can make it up with the extra credit that he gives, and he gives a lot of extra credit.

Mike is an awsome professor and loves his jobs. He is incredibly funny and knows what he's talking about. His work is very time consuming to make up for take-home-tests! He grades fast and gives great lectures. TAKE HIS CLASS!

If you don't get an A in his class, its because your lazy. Don't procrastinate on the study guides! they are about 10 pages and take forever.

My favorite professor so far! He made psych fun, even though it was a lot of work! He gives a lot of time to do the work, DON'T PROCRASTINATE THE STUDY GUIDES!!! Would definitely take him again!

GREAT professor! I looked forward to this class and always felt like I retained what I learned. He had goofy ways of helping us learn by using sayings like "dinga dinga ding" lol. The SG were a pain in the butt, however, I feel they were helpful. The take home tests were somewhat difficult but better than having to take them in class. BUY THE BOOK!

I took Prof.Devoley's class a year ago, and I can't for the life of me find a Professor that engages their students as much as this professor did. All that is required for a student to learn from Devoley is attendance, and that is all he asks for. Don't miss class or your grade will suffer like mine did. Greatest Professor at LSC-Montgomery.

awesome professor. attendance is mandatory, but you really don't want to miss his classes anyway b/c each class is so interesting. SG are rough, but its worth it. As long as you meet him half way you can get an A. He works his butt off to make class fun, and defintley does.

I know everyone on here loves devoley, but his class is an excessive amount of work and not worth taking there are other profs you can take enjoy the same and not let all the work he gives you jeopardize all your other classes. It's super frustrating that he has so much work and it's not worth it at all. Not a bad student just not a fan of bs work

Devoley was the BEST! I had his class fall of '09, for Psyc. 2301, he was extremely helpful. His grading was fair, and he gave out a TON of extra credit. Lectures were great, always gives good examples that can be related to, and cares about your learning experience. I would highly recommend taking his class.

Devoley keeps you engaged. He does require a lot of reseach and paperwork but you find out at the end, it not only wasn't all that hard but actually enhanced your learning. You do have to manage your time well but isn't that a part of life anyway? Great guy and funny too. Now your test begins Mike D. with your little one coming into the world!

Wayy too much work required for this class, good teacher, funny, But the amount of work he assigns is beyond ridiculous...would not reccomend his class unless its the only class your taking

This is my favorite class, devoley keeps the class fun and entertaining. But what is the catch to having such a great teacher? Well if you are taking 4 classes,then you should probably drop them if you want to pass this class, to much time consuming. Way too much work. If you stay in the class,you might be at risk of failing the rest of your classe

LOTS OF WORK. if your not majoring in psych dont take his class. you will make an A if you do all the work. Take home tests. there are study guides (required) that are like 20 pages long PER TEST with a learning option (not optional)and at least 50 "extra credit" (which again are required) due PER TEST. its a ridiculous amount of work...

SO MUCH WORK! you have to keep on top of your work to earn an A. anything he assigns you have to do all of it and more. that means doing all the extra credit if you want an A. good teacher, but requires A LOT! you have to put in 110% of effort..so stay on top of your work.

This class is awesome and so is Devoley, the work is time consuming but worth it. I took this class with 4 others and still got an A. This is college people, the further you get in the more work is going to be required.

I had Devoley for general pyschology (fall 2009) and lifespan psychology (spring 2010). His power points keep you interested in his class. He offers a ton of extra credit that is fun (youtube videos, etc.) and his class is overall easy. I enjoyed it and would suggest anyone take it!!

I liked this class. My favorite actually, lots of work though. But you learn the material, i came out with a B but i earned it, i procrastinated the first set of study guides and take home test.But i stayed on it after that. Great class you will learn alot and it will get you ready for college.

Devo is HOMEWORK HAPPY!!! It is an incredible amount of work buuuut you learn the material. That being said he is hands down the BEST professor I've ever had. I changed my major because of his class. He makes the material fun and interesting and really cares about his students doing well. Also, his classes can be really funny.

This is one of my favorite classes I've ever had, largely due to Devoley. He has no problem helping students & pays particular attention to those w/ interest in the topic. He wants to hear opinions & loves feedback so don't be afraid to email. You will not pass this class if you don't do the fairly big study guides, as they are the basis for tests.

Professor Devoley is THE BEST - his class is hard in the sense that you have to study & the study guides are a bear, but class time is extremely enjoyable and the time flies by! His sense of humor is addicting and his style of teaching should be prescribed. Devoley Rocks!

Excellent teacher! Maintains student interest. Awards TONS of extra credit for class participation, sending him links to class related material, etc. The study guides are long so it's best to do a little bit every week. Great class!

2nd class I've taken with Devoley, you have to do his study guides but in class just jot his extra credit opps and listen. He is super entertaining and you will want to take all his classes.

I just completed Psych Mike's online class. Keep up with the study guides and take advantage of the extra credit. He is easy to work with and very informative.

This was my second year of Mr. Devo and it was as amazing as the first. Best professor at the school. Need the book but is nice about it if you don't have it by first class. Come to class, do your extra credit and enjoy!

He is an awesome teacher! Lets you know up front what is expected, he lets you know where you stand after each test so there are no surprises. He has take home test and lots of extra credit. Study guides are long BUT helpful so don't wait till they are due to finish them. The class is not hard but is a lot of work!

he's a little difficult and his work load is heavy, but he's a wonderful teacher who is passionate about his subjects. he's the type of guy that is actually happy with his career and his energy inspires you. he's also very easy to talk to

He is a really fun guy but be warned his class is difficult. His rule of thumb is if you want an 80 in his class you need to put in 2 hours of homework for every hour in class. Which was MWF 6 hours for me. I got behind constantly make sure you have adequate time... and DON'T PROCRASTINATE! Also nicest guy in the world. :)

He is a very nice and energetic guy. Makes class interesting but all work is done at home. Tests are take-home and HOURS of homework is needed to get a good grade. Do all the extra credit he offers if u want an A. Study guides are too long, tests are hard, and do not be absent! It will hurt your grade. I'd suggest another professor with less work!

He really is a great professor. Make sure you NEVER miss class. He takes off a lot of points for that. Do ALL of the extra credits he gives you and keep up with your work. He does give a lot of work but his lectures are SO SO fun!! And if you ever miss an assignment, don't sweat it. Do the extra credits! I look forward to going to his classes.

The best professor i've had in my 2 years of college experience! I got an A in his class, because i did all my work. Which is really not that hard, just pay atention enjoy his class and you will do great! He gives out Long study Guides, not required to do them unless you want a good grade.. Mr.Devoley makes his class fun and interesting!

Wayyy too much info for a general course. He gives 20 pg study guide'S and lectures that set land speed records. He just can't decide what parts of psych to highlight, so he puts it on you to learn it ALL at home. As a result I can recite a long list of psych topics, but know nothing ABOUT them. If you aren't a psych major, avoid like the plague.

Excellent Professor...does an excellent job at capturing the attention of his students and teaches the students to learn in different ways than most ordinary teachers do. One of the best teachers i've ever had.

Best teacher, hands down. TONS of information, but you'd better be ready to work if you want a good grade. It rules though because ALL the work is OPTIONAL. Fast-paced too. Psych Mike is the reason I changed my major to psychology. Class is FUN!

I had a rough start trying to figure out his style. There is a lot of work but it's just doing the book. He is very fair and gives you many ways to get extra credit. I would definitely recommend his class, but it is a lot of work!

funny proffesor, like his style of teaching just one thing that i didnt like was that he didnt follow his syllabus which confused me with due dates but over all hes a really good proffessor gives you allot of options to do extra credit allot of study guides but all the answers are in the book.

Took both of his classes and loved them! The class is not hard- you get study guides and tests and a bunch of extra credit. You get the grade that you work for. There's no way you can fail because you can always bring your grade up. Take him! There's never a dull moment and you'll come out knowing things you didn't know before

Devoley is an extremely kind, open, caring, and intelligent professor. It's obvious that he wants everyone to make an A by the amount of extra credit he gives out. I had 120% in the class and I barely even attempted any extra credit. Not making an A in his class is a reflection on the student not professor Devoley.

Amazing teacher. He knows what he teaches. This is probably one of the most enjoyable classes I have had. He gives lots of options for class assignments. You don't have to stress out if you put effort into his class.

Wonderful instructor! He answers emails in a timely fashion and is very willing to help you if you need it. I took him in an 8 week online class and loved it. He knows his stuff and as long as you do your work you'll make an "A". No reason not to pass his class!

This Professor gives off too much of his opinions, just teach we don't need to hear your opinions! He can be offensive with his jokes. He needs to think before he speaks. He talks or "teaches" too fast, he doesn't make sense half of the time. I didn't learn a thing from this class.

Fantastic teacher! Super easy. Such a sweet guy. Really enjoyed his general psych, so I took him again for lifespan. He is truly wonderful and so passionate about what he is teaching. LOVE him.

Went into this class having no interest in psychology. Left wanting this to be my major. I wouldn't be as enthusiastic to learn all of the material he assigned if it weren't for his extremely entertaining method of teaching. Others who say he's opinionated/ too hard were the ones not doing the work and refused to appreciate his creative humor.

Devoley is nice teacher. he will give you LOTS of extra credits and many attendance points. Tests will be home taking but not easy. Make sure time management. Do 5/5/5 or 10/10/10 every day, and you can get A easily without FINAL EXAM!!

Took him online in a mini-mester! WHOAW....lots and lots of work, but just because it was a mini-mester. He was fantastic and very knowledgeable. He really encourages his students to research new information. With good discipline it's very possible to get an A in the mini-mester.

Mr. Devoley is the bomb. I loved his class. He made it interesting to me because he gets the whole class involved in his lectures. There is honestly no reason not to make an A in his class. He gives ample amounts of "bonus" opportunities. He has a good sense of humor and is overall a great professor.

I was in his matrix class, and he was an awesome teacher.I am not gonna lie he keeps you up in class with his jokes and accents. power point is very useful, AS LONG AS YOUR NOT LAZY YOU WILL PASS! GET THOSE 5 5 5s done!

He always makes class fun and exciting! I loved going to this class because it was extremely interactive and I always learned something. Tests are take home, and extra credit is definitely available... You literally can't fail unless you don't attend class.

Awesome professor, his class is not that hard just put in the work and you will be fine plus he is not boring. I will say if you plan on missing class this is not for you because he does minus 50 points if you are absent. No quizzes, take home test it is pretty laid back, no note taking just show up and listen

Great teacher, his class is interesting and he gives out points like crazy. Tests are take home except for the final, but he gives a final review that is a duplicate of the final. I got an A in this class without having to take exam 4, or the final. There is no reason to have lower than an A in this class. Fun, interesting and an easy A.

Pretty easy class if you do your work!

By far my favorite professor so far. He makes the subject interesting and is pretty chill. He gives out loads of extra credit. In fact, if you do all the extra credit at first, you won't even have to take the final. Easy A and really good class. If you can take him.

Devoley is awesome! He came to teach our class after our prof passed away suddenly. I made a D only because I missed a lot of class! You can bonus your entire grade almost! He makes psych enjoyable and interesting. He's a hood guy in general and would definitely take him again!

Very helpful. If you go to class and keep track of your points it's an easy A. If you want a class where attendence isn't important than don't take this one. If you show up and do work it's easy. I enjoyed going to his class, he's very funny and entertaining.

I took Mr. Devoley's online class and it was wonderful. I definetly reccommend him! He teaches through powerpoint and you use the book quite a bit. There is a lot of work, but if you do it and don't slack off you will pass easily. All tests you take are at home, they are easy and exactly like the quizzes. PLENTY of extra credit.

Loved this professor! I took it online and passed with an A. Ya it's alot of work but if you put in the time and your dedicated you will come out with an A. I do have to say if your taking it online be prepared for alot of work! If your not self disciplined then do not do it. Once you get behind its very hard to catch back up. Good luck.

Makes class fun and interesting, and understanding of concepts pretty easy. Do all the work you can so you can have an A halfway to 3/4th of the semester and pretty much coast after that.

He very punctual, Disciplined,clear and fun loving person. He pays equal attention to all students. One should be very regular in homework, attending class, and exams if they join him. He is really good as teacher.

He's an awesome professor. He's funny, passionate, and really easy to talk to. Participation is a must. There is a lot of assignments, but you can choose which ones to do. Devoley is absolutely the guy to take if you are going to take Psychology at Lonestar. He makes the class super up beat and fun and if you arent that interested its at least fun. Gives out so much Devo Debit that its almost impossible to not pass the class if you engage in class discussion. So glad I got take this class with him!!!

Impossible to not make an -A. Is literally that easy. He gives this amount of work that are on points and you choose whatever you want to do to work yourself up to an A. Make sure to submit assignments on time and in the right file format, otherwise no points and no regrading. Make sure to understand all assignments. He will answer phone calls or emails, so do not be afraid to ask.

This prof teaches his online class with more interactivity than a lot of profs teach in-person. There is a lot of work to be done, so it by no means an easy A, but there are MASSIVE amounts of extra credit opportunities available. Take advantage of them and you can even skip some of the boring assignments. Do yourself a favor; take this class!!!

This class is super easy you just have to do the work which is not hard at all. Easy A. However, there are many aspects to the syllabus which can be confusing, so pay attention. I really enjoyed the class. Mike Devoley was very clear on what it would take to get an A. He was very hands on and encouraging every step of the way. I took his class online for the summer. He explains in the syllabus that reading the textbook is CRUCIAL in his course and he is right! Just read, take your quizzes, SG's, FP's and essays and you should be okay. Gives PLENTY of extra credit opportunities. If you take this class just make sure you have the time to read 8-16 hours a week.

This Guy is awesome, i took him summer 2015 and he is wonderful so many extra credit opportunities given in class and outside class and would RECOMMEND him to anybody needing this class... This has been my most fun class so far! Expect to participate outside of class. The assignments are optional and aren't long. Also most of the time they are fun to do. The professor is helpful and lays out the course for you and his lectures are never one sided and interesting.

Participation is a big part of your grade. Points matter. Study guides must be done. Crash courses on Youtube were also very helpful throughout the course and could also get points for watching it. Anything that can get you points, I highly encourage you to do. You can relate to some criteria and can be found pretty interesting.

I took him for an online mini-mester course and it was honestly the best experience I have ever had. Mr. Devoley gave incredible feedback and although Psychology was a required class, he made it so enjoyable. He is very giving and understandable and knows that we are humans. Online course-3 weeks seems hard, but for this teacher, he makes it relaxable and doable. I didn't purchase the textbook because I used the FREE trial on Amazon. So many options for extra credit because, "points is points." Really, phenomenal choice for an instructor in a topic that can be dry. You DO have to read, but you're rewarded for it. I highly recommend searching quizlets before his tests. A lot of the questions are not "straight from the text" answers.

This is the funnest class. Took it online. Works by a point system and if you do participation there is no reason not to make an A. Tests are timed, however if you fail them you can make up lost points via class participation. Class was really interesting but intense as i took the 8 week course. Would take it again and again though.

I took the 8 week course and this would have to be one of my favorite classes. The professor does challenge you, but it's well worth it. Modules/easy exams (quizzes) due every Monday, 2 easy papers, and 1 creative power point. He grades each module promptly and is a fair grader, do the work and you'll pass. Every grade is weighted evenly. It works by points and as long as you have a total of 1800 points at the end then you will receive an A. You could literally skip exams and just do extra participation(watch videos/read wiki and write a few sentences to review) to make up for the points you lost from the exam and still pass with an A. Although his online class does consist of a lot of reading and work, the material itself is not hard. All of my tests, including the final was online. You do need it for homework. None of the assignments is ever hard, not even the tests (all multiple choice). My only regret is not taking it in person.

Mr. Devoley was such an amazing professor. He graded all of our assignments at a timely manner and often provided feedback. I took this as a 8 week class and I can honestly say time flew by. He gives you many opportunities for extra credit which is nice. I definitely recommend taking him as a psych teacher.

This class is one of the best classes I have taken. Work is not hard at all and you don't even have to take the final if you keep up with the class. The lectures are so interesting. He is hilarious as well. I would highly recommend taking his class.

Best online class I have ever taken. It is A LOT of reading but the assignments are super easy. As long as you keep up with the work it is an easy A. 5 units, non-proctored test, and gives a ton of extra credit opportunities. Highly recommend.

So I took this prof online, for an 8 week course. It was fast paced, but def doable. He gives you a lot of chances to earn extra credit. Test are straight forward, he sends emails all the time so if you check them then you won't miss a due date. I will take again, for an 8 week course the work load was heavy but it'll be like that for any class.

Not an easy A you will read and work your butt off, but he gives you many opportunities to bring your grade up. You can also download the book on your phone so no excuses. Other than that great professor wonderful strategies and you'll get it done.

I took Professor Devoley as an 8 week online course! This by far was the must work I have ever done! I loved this class and the assignments. He leaves great feedback and tons of extra credit opportunities. Tests are hard and timed. Work hard and you will get an A!

I took him for an online 8weeks course. At first you will feel so confused with the structure of the syllabus but you will get used to it. He is very understanding if you have personal issues going on. He really wants his students to do well. He is very quick in responding to emails. It is not an easy A for me, you will have to work hard for it.

I also took his 8 week intro to psych class. A lot of work, you will read every chapter, but overall you will learn. Study that syllabus left and right so you wont be lost throughout the class. Assignments were not hard, but you have to do them. An abundance of extra credit. I was failing, but managed to pull off a solid A towards the end!

Devoley was awesome! Took this course as a 3wk mini and it was rough. Sometimes I stressed that I wouldn't finish all the required material in time for the cutoffs, but I did after studying for most hours of each day. Do all your assignments, plus extras offered, read his emails, and you'll be completely fine, should pass with flying colors!

Okay, so I just finished his three week minimester and I admit, Professor Devoley is one of the best professors I have ever had. Hands down. He is absolutely hilarious and WANTS you to pass. You will get the grade you deserve based on how much effort and time you put in. Did I die during those 3 weeks? Yes. But he really helps your grade a lot! :')

I took the Minimester online course. It is worth it! He provides the textbook for you, gives out a ton of extra credit, and grades really easy. Overall, he's just a fun guy.

Professor Devoley is awesome! He provides students with several different ways of earning points, as well as awarding extra points by emailing you certain "code words" to put into work you turn in. He is hilarious, a great teacher, very down to earth and is very genuine! It's a lot of work but his grading criteria is clear! Would take him again!

There is a lot of work for this class but if you put the time in youll get the grade you want. Extra credit was almost unlimited and by the time I was almost finished with the class I had a few assignments I didnt have to complete because I already had max points. Pretty funny, worth taking!

Mr. Devoley is AWESOME! You will feel overwhelmed at first while he goes over the syllabus, but you will get used to everything quickly! He gives amazing lectures and is super funny! This is my first semester in college. I have Mr Devoley and absolutely love him to death. He is the funniest and most genuine person that I have met at Lone Star thus far. He makes learning fun and I look forward to his class each and every day! I suggest if you want a Easy A and laid back class to make him your top choice!

Prof. Devo is great! I took his 8wk psyc 2301 class online. He gives you the opportunity to get as many bonus pts you want but you have to do the work. He is a fair grader & grades fast! Great Teacher! but be prepare to do your work, like you should!!

In his class points are points. It does not matter if you get a 60 on a test those 60 points will be added to your total number of points. Yes it is not mandatory to show up but if you don't show up it is minus 50 points each day. He is super easy going and give so many points out that you would have to try hard to not get an A.

Professor Devoley assigns a lot of homework in the course of 3 weeks but he also gives you lots of extra credit opportunities and every chance to succeed in the course. I would definitely recommend taking his course.

I would HIGHLY recommend this professor. I took the December Mini-Mester and at first, I was confused with the structure of his class. However, it turned out to be fairly easy. He grades based upon points this means that you can miss a few assignments as long as you do more of the other assignment.

If you ever have a chance to take PSYC, I urge you to take this professor! The class is easy itself, there's technically no REQUIRED hw, it's based off of what grade you want and how much effort you're willing to put in. The tests are all online and easy (quizlet) and even if you don't make the desired grade, you can just do extra hw to make up.

Devoley is the most amazing educator I've ever had. His style is not exactly traditional, but I found that it allows you to explore the things you enjoy the most about the subject. He makes it fun! His lectures are lively & he allows free reign of which assignments you do (on the condition that you reach the allotted number of points needed).

Professor Devoley might just be an all-time favorite for me! He uses a point system and has SO MANY different ways to get points, you can really zero in on your favorite(s), or you can bounce around and experiment. I love this guy! He is really focused on making sure you enjoy what you are learning and gives participation so you can study what you find most interesting. The textbook is online and FREE(!!) and to fail this class you literally have to do no work. To succeed, make sure to do the reading and participation/study guides. RRR everything!!!

I loved Prof. D! His 3 Wk mini was a lot to cram in there but it was easy stuff and you could pick and choose what you wanted to focus on to get your points. It's nice to work ahead. He is quirky with his emails but communication is by far the best I have had with any online class. REMEMBER RRR EVERRRRRRY THING! Points are points.

Took Professor Devoleys 3 week min and he is very personable and witty teacher. His point system confused me at first but then I understood the method to his madness and its actually pretty brilliant. If you make the time and do the work you will get the grade you want. I also apprecite how clear and concise he is with his directions.

He was a great prof., had an interesting grading system, but if you do as many 555's or 101010's (all extra-credit stuff) you can pass this class with over a 100. His whole class is basically extra credit. We had 4 tests but he decided not to have an exam so that was fun... super funny guy, talks about his wife and kids a lot. Overall great class

I have one more week and my mini-mester is over. At first I was overwhelmed by the syllabus, but once the course started it made more sense. He gives great feedback and a lot of chances for extra credit. I will finish the class with an A+ and I did it all while working full-time, being a mom, and wife. Great instructor!!!

Understand the Syllabus! and the time frame you are taking this class. He is a great teacher and you can always make up a bad grade by doing extra credit always RRR and do as many 101010, 202020, or 505050.

Do your hardest to not miss more than 3 classes he takes off MAJOR points for absences. He gives out SO SO many little writing assignments but if you do them immediately (DON'T procrastinate) & turn them in on time it's the easiest A you could get in psych. He actually teaches amazing and he makes the course fun. He is a character but a good one.

Fun and well rounded course. There is a lot of extra credit you just need to stay on top of your assignments and not leave everything to the last minute because, you're allowed and IT WILL be too much work to catch up on. I was not a huge fan of the course, however, I did really like Mr. Devoley. He makes the material as interesting as possible. LOTS of extra credit opportunities (Devo Debit). You can get a guaranteed A if you put the work in. Open-book tests and an easy final exam if you paid attention in class. Show up to class - absences will cost you.

(10/10) I would take any class this professor teaches again. Will definitely recommend this class and professor to others. Overall, I enjoyed this class and the pace. I tend to learn better when places under stress.

Took this course as mini mester and it was a lot of work but easy, he unlocks everything from day one so its easier to move ahead. The class can be complicated at first, so just read the syllabus and understand it, and the class will be easy. P.S. he doesn't deduct points for assignments, he just adds points and you need 1,800 pts for an A!

I took this course as an Online Mini Mester and I would take it again in a heartbeat! This class was not easy but I honestly don't think it would have been as amazing without the challenge presented. Honestly, best professor ever, for real. This experience literally changed my attitude toward school and learning in a positive way! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This was my first online course and it was quite easy. Initially after reading the syllabus, I was kind of overwhelmed but it was quite easy. Some advise is to NOT do work last minute because it will eat you up. Other than that, the course is on you and the grade you make is because of the effort put in. Also do not give this man a tough time!

He does get sidetracked sometimes but it's usually relevant to the class.

He is an absolutely wonderful professor. If you don't like one of his assignments you can do EC and avoid doing the work you don't like. It's an easy class, but it's a work heavy class. If you do the work, do extra credit it will be no problem. He made the transition from in-person to online so easy!

I took this professor for a 6 week summer course. He is very detailed in his syllabus. Study Guides are long and you have to apply yourself. He works on a points system. If you want to learn, pass and laugh at the same time please take this professor. He is awesome, he is funny, his videos are hilarious in a good way and he doesn't even realize how funny he is. I watched his lecture videos for my points and good laughs. The videos he recommends to watch for each topic are relevant, they will teach you so much.

His grading style is hard to learn but if you figure it out then you can get an A. You need 1800 points at the end of the semester to get an A, each assignment, or test. could be 19-1000 points and in the end, you add them all. He gives so much extra credit so there is no reason you won't get a good grade because you can earn so many extra points.

I enjoyed taking Professor Devoleys online Psych course. There are so many different assignments that could be done to get an A and its really structured so that you can get an A by doing assignments that you like doing. A lot of extra credit, definitely an easy A while still learning.

I did a mini for this course; everything moved super fast. I loved his grading style though. You have to "buy" your grade. Lots of opportunities to get more points. You can kind of pick and choose what areas you want to do more research in, so that you can focus on what interests you. Exams aren't hard. I thought most of the assignments were fun.

Went in looking to grind out a usless 8 week course and fell in love. Great prof, fun class. Point system takes a week or so to get use to but dont let it discourage you!

I took Professor Devoley class fully online and It has been the best online class I have experienced so far. He makes it guaranteed that you can get an A if you just do the work and extra credit. The textbook is completely free and he basically lets you learn the material at your own pace.

Professor Devoley class isn't that hard at all than I thought it was. You have to put in time and work for this class. You are basically working for points so the amount of work you do will be what you get. Just follow the syllabus even though it can be confusing. When he says 5/5/5 just put down 5 bullets with 3 to 5 words on each one. Good class!

He is very informative of what needs to be done. It seemed like the exams didnt matter even if you for As in the exams the study guide has nothing to do with the test. He takes point on EVERYTHING !!!! His grading scale is a point system he used. I would not finish the class because I got behind on the work and only 2 weeks left in the class.

Professor Devoley is a fair grader and gives you every opportunity to succeed. His grading system is a little different, where you earn points to get to the grade you want. So if you do more work, you get more points, and can get an A. So that's fair. His lectures are funny, and I like how he injects humor and current events into the lectures.

This is the second time I have taken one of Devoley's psychology classes and they have both been my top favorite classes that I have taken. The point system he uses basically hands you an A+ if you are just willing to put in the work. Overall a fantastic professor with a great sense of humor and a need for all of this students to succeed. 15/10 :)

Professor Devoley was FANTASTIC! I was a little overwhelmed at first but he gives you plenty of opportunities to earn points in his class and is very generous. It's not difficult to an earn A but you do have to work for it. He's a pretty funny guy, very knowledgeable, and posits a lot of thought provoking questions. I enjoyed his class. Take him!!

Professor Devoley is an amazing professor! I highly recommend taking his course if you need general psychology or lifespan and development. Its a lot of work but if you just do the work the class is an easy A. Devoley cares about his students and their grades, he gives great feedback and sends daily emails. He offers lots of extra credit. Take him.

Professor Devoley makes the study of psychology fun. He makes you work for your grade but it is worth it in the end. He provides lectures for the online class and his assignments are not hard. Once you put in the work, you will pass. He lets you know what is expected at the very beginning and responds to email in a timely manner.

So much work it became stressful and over whelming but overall great professor because he gave extra credit and would always respond to emails I went from a 40 to a 70 even if work was turned in late. He was very understanding, helpful, and motivational to his students to work harder to receive better grades.

This class was a lot of work because it was 16 weeks in 3 weeks. He is very generous, lots of lectures, wants you to succeed, funny, caring, and more. I really enjoyed this class despite the workload. : ) Thanks Mr. D for caring and reading our responses too!

He was a very easy grader mostly focused on participation, learned allot and he was very helpful and fast at responding emails.

I took him for 3 weeks class. It is a lot of work so falling behind will be a bad idea. His class is a points-based system so do all the work you can to reach the grade you want and you'll be fine. Very nerdy and knows his stuff well. He cares for his students' well-being. Because his class has a lot of work, it should be your only commitment.

I took this class in a minimester, it was a lot of work but not boring. His lectures are really good, do the work and you will get an A. I wish I could have taken his class during the semester so I could have really enjoyed it, I was working 2 jobs during Christmas break so it did get stressful.

If you are considering enrolling in his class DO IT! He's very encouraging and wants you to succeed. He uses a point system when grading, so every time you complete an assignment you are earning point rather than taken away. There's a lot of assignments, so plenty of chances to earn points. Amazing lectures, attentive to emails, yadadada. ENROLL!!!

The first 2 weeks are hard but stick with it. Per week you have 2 or 3 easy study guides + a 50Q exam (almost all answers online) + 200 points worth of participation. The participation points will make or break your grade, but they're also the most fun. Email him with Qs! Once you understand the assignments, it's an easy A. Highly recommend

If you are in need of the credits, take the class. Extremely easy, but if you are looking to learn something, then go with somebody else. I don't think it was worth my investment (time and money)

Take this class he is a very understanding professor he uses a point system but you will get used to it in the first week if you want an A take his class just make sure you go to class or it will effect your grade but I highly recommend him

Mr. Devoley was a great professor who had an interesting class lay out. Despite this interesting class lay out attaining an A was most definitely possible, especially if you put the effort in.

Highly recommend this professor. He is understanding and very thorough with lectures, explaining homework. Lots of extra credit. Make sure you turn everything in on time and understand the assignments. Do everything and you will get an A!

professor Devoley is awesome, and understanding. theres a bunch of oppurtinities to do good in this class. alot of good information. his ability to teach is on point.

Professor Devoley is very kind, patient and understanding of a students needs. The work is manageable in this course and is overall what one would consider "easy" however this class is by no means a blowoff class and one with a mindset of such minus well kiss a passing grade goodbye because this course requires consistency and grit.

Ngl just do the homework, and take advantage of his extra credit early to be able to chill at the end of the semester. I literally do not get A's in classes and I still managed to pass with an A. Tests aren't hard if you know what I mean (cough cough qui....)

This man is genuinely an amazing teacher and an even better person. If you are extroverted then you will be raking in extra points. his classes are engaging and entertaining. This is the only class I am excited to wake up at 8 am for.

Best professor I have had! Syllabus sounds scary, but do not drop this class. You will learn so much. He's funny and applies content to real world situations. Uses point system to grade and you can choose from a variety of assignments/lecture videos to earn enough points for the grade you want. Responds quickly to emails and offers extra credit.

As long as you do the work, you will pass. The grade you want is in your hands. You can do as much or as little to achieve your wanted grade.

If you aren't taking his class you're doing something wrong. I have never been excited to get to a class until I met this man, he is truly amazing!

One of the best professors I have had at lone star! This class has a lot of work but it is easy if you manage your time well.

Professor Devoley is very unique in his lectures and grading but still very fun. The class is a point-based grading system, so if you do badly on an exam, it won't affect your grade much. The syllabus and the beginning can be daunting, but I assure you, it is not as bad as it seems. You should be good if you can dedicate at least 1-2 hours a day.

Take him! Straight forward and honestly an easy grader. Tests are simple, and most of your points come from study guides and participation. It's really hard not to get an A. He also answers emails promptly.

Excellent professor who is extremely passionate about this field. DO NOT TAKE THE MINI-MESTER! You will fail if you take the condensed version unless you have the whole 3 weeks to sit at a computer, there is a ton of work in this class but it is constructive and the professor does an excellent job of making the class engaging and relevant

Professor Devoley is awesome! He emails back quickly, will give credit for late work, gives detailed feedback, and provides ample opportunity for points. His syllabus is overwhelming (I took a 3 week mini-mester) but he explains every assignment in detail. He does the class with a points system so it is easy to make up any lost points!

Mr. Devoley is an awesome Professor and I would definitely take him again! He is so hilarious and always keeps his lectures real. He allows you to participate in extra credit to increase your grade in the class which is really helpful for those who aren't good test takers and gives them a chance to improve their grade. 11/10 professor!!

I took the winter semester (not for everyone, very fast ). The class was easy if you put in the effort. Theres a point system so there are many way to get the grade you want. He's funny and loves feedback. Syllabus is a little scary but it's actually not as complicated (watch his syllabus video explains it all).

Hands down the easiest class! Professor Devoley makes sure you have everything needed to pass! Everything is online. I used my book for my Study Guides which are pretty easy. 1-3 final review questions were answered during lectures so you must pay attention!!! Lectures were very understanding! Different ways to get credit to pass!!!!

Take him! there's no way you can fail this class, it may be a lot of watching videos, but all of his work is easy, if you want to work for your grade, this is the professor for you :) and no final exam test, just a final exam fill-in-the-blank review, super easy. This was an 8-week course.

I loved his class! I recommend him 100%. I took his 8 week course and the class was easy if you put in the effort into it. Theres a point system so there are many ways to obtain your desired grade. His lectures are great and loves hearing from us. The syllabus may seem a little scary, but just follow along the schedule, and you'll do great!

TONS of opportunities to earn an A in his class. Just put in the effort and PARTicipate in the class and you'll be fine. He gives so many different ways to earn your grade. You truly earn the grade, you put in effort and work hard you'll get an A, if you slack off and don't do anything then you'll fail. HIS CLASS IS LITERALLY SET UP FOR SUCCESS.

I would recommend him, to anyone taking psychology. I took his 8 week class and it was easy, for the most part. The only thing that I struggled with, was the how much work is due each week; that mostly had to do with me working full time and just life. If you plan accordingly, you can easily get an A. Overall I would give his class a 10 out 10 :)

Cool guy, his in-person class sounds like it would be fun. The 8-week course was not bad at all, just don't get lazy. His lectures are pretty good and funny and he really knows his target audience. A LOT of things you could do to get a perfect grade, if you like opportunities and aren't lazy, TAKE THIS CLASS. That is all, dingadingadingading.

Professor D. was amazing! His lectures were really good. When I took the class, you earned your grade through participation points. He was always willing to be flexible with the due dates if you had any conflicting issues. His class was very engaging and enjoyable.

THE BEST PROFESSOR!!!!! At first, I was worried about the grading system but this class was so easy. He gives out A TON of extra credit and it's always super easy. I took him for the 8W course (I'm an active HS student) and I was able to get a 115% for the course because of how much EC he gives and I skipped the final assignments. TAKE HIM PLZ!!!!!

Easy grader and not an awful professor, but feedback came across as being harsh more often than not. I grew upset with my work because while I would receive As he sounded angry and upset in the feedback. A wonderful teacher otherwise just harsh, took it as an online class so not bad.

YOU HAVE TO TAKE HIS COURSE! The grading course is a little intimidating, but you'll love it once you figure it out! Make sure you complete your study guides thoroughly. There are so many extra credit opportunities as well! TIP: watch your videos at 2x speed and watch the lectures for hidden extra credit!

Mr. Devoley was one of the best professors I've had in college. The syllabus was thorough and included a free textbook. While there are many assignments, you get to pick and choose the ones you want to do (for the most part) and most of those assignments are pretty enjoyable. There's also so many ways to earn extra credit in this class as well.

I wish I had been able to take the class in-person. He seems very cool and is flexible with coursework and assignments. I really enjoyed listening to the lectures and highly recommend his course.

Professor Devoley is one of the best professor I had. I took his for psychology and Lifespan. If you try, you will do good. His lessons were very interesting. I recommend his class!!!

Probably one of if not the best professors I have ever had. He not only was an amazing professor and educator to me but also became somewhat of a friend. Mr. Devoley is kind, caring, and passionate about his course, and is overall hilarious and a fantastic teacher. I can't recommend him enough, PLEASE TAKE HIS CLASS YOU WILL LOVE IT I PROMISE!!!

I would recommend Devoley's course to other students. The textbook is used to complete several study guides. There are no real "exams". In order to get credit for the class, several assignments are offered randomly during lectures to complete at home. His lectures vary among many topics, allowing you to focus on what interests you most.

Professor Devoley made everything clear throughout the semester. Many amazing chapters to read. If you don't take the time outside of class to do the work, you will fail. He's a good and fair grade and sometimes gives you extra points just because :) overall a good class to take.

Mr. Devoley is the best professor I could have ever asked for during my time at Lone Star, I'm sad to part ways! His class has so far been the easiest to take and he cares about his students, he's also funny! Professor Devoley constantly finds ways to hand out extra credit, it's hard to fail his class unless you don't participate in the work. :)))

I took prof. Devoley for PSYC 2301 and PSYC 2314 and passed both with an A. PSYC 2314 has no exams, and you need the textbook for study guides which are 16 in total. He has a grading schedule which is made up of points where you can pick and choose what assignment to do like watching videos, movies, reading articles, etc.

Mr. Devoley is great! you can tell he loves what he does, and he provides so many opportunities for you to get the points you need in this class. You will have to read a lot and do study guides. keep up with your points! You learn a lot especially about the brain and how it explodes into this enormous collage and also about the Brainstem!

One of the best professors I have ever had the honor of learning from. The class was fully online "express class." The professor is very fair and gives a lot of bonus assignments for anyone who needs the extra "points" to get an A+ =] Great professor, responds to emails, the book is ONLINE, assignments have due dates, fair, will help you out. =]

This was an interesting class to take and do not regret it by any means. Cool prof as well, I just had a difficult time with the way this class is set up. very confusing and was easy for me to get lost and left behind it felt like. could be my own fault, but I didn't necessarily enjoy the way the class/assignments were ran if that makes sense.

Get used to the points system (ask for help if needed early on!) and you will be able to kick back and enjoy the class. The work is certainly doable, just make sure you are keeping track of your points. I paced myself by making sure I had a certain amount of points per exam. Devoley is great and really fun, but just know he is very opinionated!

I thought I was going to fail at first from all the information he had in his syllabus. However, it is SOO easy when you're a few days in. Based on point system. Not every assignment has to be done since it can be made up w another assignment. He was genuinely concerned when I was confused. GREAT PROFESSOR! TAKE HIM, YOU SERIOUSLY WON'T REGRET IT!!

He is VERY responsive with emails with any questions you may have about the course in general. STAY ON TOP OF THE WORK because it will pile up. If you feel like you are falling behind, EMAIL him. He is very understanding and willing to work with his students to ensure they do not fail, but YOU HAVE TO PUT IN THE WORK. Best 288$ I have ever spent.

I am currently taking Professor Devoley's Psych class and had has been the best professor I have had in all 4 of my college years so far. There are SO MANY opportunities for extra credit! It is very easy to make an A in this class! This class actually made me enjoy learning! I 100% recommend taking Professor Devoley!

This professor is overall the best professor I've had. He is super understanding and is open to giving second chances. I was so close to dropping the class because of my grade but he gave me a second chance and offered me extra credit to bring my grade up. He is truly the best professor ever and his ratings are 100% accurate.

Take this Professor!! I was going to drop this class at the beginning, because of my grade but I ended up bringing it to an A. He gives lots of extra credit opportunities. He responds to emails fast. This is by far one of the easiest classes I have taken.

Professor Devoley finds ways to make this class fun and getting an A is easy as long as you do the required assignments. There is a lot of reading, assignments, videos, articles, ect. However, it is all awarding when you complete all the work, gain knowledge about psych and get the grade you want.

Pure participation. So many ways to earn points, you get what you want (an A). I took him as an 8 week course, and it was very manageable. the textbook isn't mandatory, because you can get all your points from lectures or videos. Most of my points came from lectures. if you do a bullet point a minute, you get that many points. Very personable.

Lots of feedback and very active in responding to comments, questions, and concerns. I enjoyed this course and did not find it too difficult! If you make time for the lectures to receive credit for them it should be more than easy to get a good grade.

Easy class, just make sure you do all your work, and your working a full time job or more than 3 classes with this class. Over all I did find psychology interesting, I enjoyed learning from him.

There is no reason to not pass this class. This man gives soooooo much extra credit its insane! I'm a huge procrastinator and still managed an A! 10/10 would take again. Also man is funny so that was a plus.

This was an extremely enjoyable course, I would definitely recommend professor Devoley! He was extremely enthusiastic about PSYC, it truly seems like he's passionate. He makes all lectures enjoyable to watch with his funny commentary. Professor Devoley hands out loads of extra credit points, I am a big procrastinator and I still managed to pass.

Professor Devoley is great. He is caring and respectful of students. You will have to do the work and read the book to get an A, but it is pretty east. There is lot of extra credit opportunities. It is possible to take this class over the winter minimester and get an A.

One of the best professors I have had yet. Lectures were hilarious yet helpful and he didn't speak all monotone like some professors do. He grades assignments withing the next 24 hours and gives you credit for trying. Workload is a bit heavy but if you put in the work in time, you can get it done. SO MANY EXTRA CREDIT OPTIONS!!!!
