Dr Dubon is a very easy teacher! great feedback on essays. Attendance doesn't really count but he said that he'd like to be contacted to know why you weren't in class. Only downside about his class is that it's 2 hours long, late work is not penlized & he give ALOT of extra credit! Just stay on top of things and you will do great, trust.

This class had a very clear layout and description of what was expected throughout the course. DuBon was very attentive and easy to talk too.There are about 3 main essays you'll work on but over the span of a few weeks for each essay. He's very easygoing if you just communicate with him. I would take this class again 10/10.

DuBon made my entrance back to college after 27 years enjoyable. I'm relieved to have had the experience I had w/him to balance out a not so great experience with another course/professor. DuBon is approachable, fair, respectable, understanding, clear on expectations, and available when needed. The course is outlined clearly and consistently. 5star

The class is structured and well organized. Instructions for assignments are always clear making it easy to understand how to do the assignments. The professor is great with answering questions and usually responds quickly

I had Professor DuBon for English 101, this was a very good class to take and helped my writing skills improve which is thanks to the assignments he had put out. This class is easy, if you do the work and ask for help if needed. Definitely recommend taking an an English class from Professor DuBon!

I appreciated the clear instructions for every assignment, making the class easy to follow. Everything was organized in a way that made the class easy to follow, and I always knew exactly what was expected. I also liked the many extra credit opportunities you offered.

I would describe Michael DuBons class and teaching style as incredibly flexible and supportive. There were no required textbooks and very little assigned readings. For the two essays that were assigned over the course of the class, there was a lot of freedom given to the students to choose whatever topic we wanted.

Professor DuBon is very straight forward in his teaching and very informative. He also is more than willing to meet and help understand the work or anything you may need help with. His lectures are thorough. He is very caring, understanding, and over-all a great instructor.

I went through a rough time outside of school due to family, relationship, and health reasons and he was so understanding. Not only that but he gives good advice and feedback on assignments.

He excels in online English 101. His course is perfectly organized, with clear weekly modules and engaging discussion forums he actively guides. His detailed, thoughtful feedback on essays focusing on argument strength, that truly improves your writing. He's highly reachable and responsive by email. Highly recommended for motivated students.

Mr. Dubon was an amazing professor! Although we only met once a week he does a great job at explaining the lectures & work we will be doing, there are a lot of discussions to do, but they are engaging & helpful. Overall a great professor, very nice and respectable!:)

Taking English 101 with this professor was a really positive experience, and I recommend him to anyone who wants to become a stronger writer. He is very clear when explaining assignments, and he always makes sure students understand the expectations before moving on. Moreover, everything in canvas is designed to help you build skills step-by-step.

Michael is an amazing and supportive professor. His assignments made writing make sense even though I hadn't written an academic essay for over 5 years, which eventually lead to be being able to do well on my final research paper. He always replies and is a genuinely nice guy when communicating. His feedback is clear and lessons were actually fun!

Professor DuBon was super generous with late assignments and understanding. The way he set up his class was very detailed yet easy to understand. He honestly made it fun to write essays (I like very detailed assignments). I'd definitely take a class with him again.

I loved taking his class, I felt that it was very fun and engaging. The course work may feel too much in the beginning, but you have a lot of time to do them. Really appreciated the flexibility, the clarity of assignment details, and the range assignments had— even if you've done some of the assigned reading before, you'll have a good time writing things out, as the assignments deliberately narrow your scope and make you consider only specific aspects of the story at a time.

Overall I am very happy with this class. To mention, I had to retake this class so in total this was my second time taking the same course. I was really anxious about how my professor was going to be. It turned out to be just fine. I am very grateful for that.

Micheal, was such an understanding professor, I had a lot of medical issues during the quarter I took his class and he was so understanding and accommodating. I appreciated the work load a lot (around 2 assignments per week-ish) it was very manageable and enjoyable. He always had a smile on his face and just made the class such a fun environment.

He is a great professor! He provides plenty of different resources and clear instructions for each assignment making it easy to get it done. Also provides many extra credit opportunities throughout assignments and is very flexible and gets back to you quickly whenever you have any concerns. Professor DuBon was an amazing teacher! He leaves meaningful feedback on every assignment I turn in, which makes completing my work feel a lot better! There wasn't an insane amount of work, and everything was reasonable to complete. I recommend his class one-hundred-percent, and I'm stoked I got to have him this quarter!

Overall, Professor DuBon is awesome. He gives good feedback on improving your writing. Also, he does a good job checking in to help you get assignments done and turned in. He kept the course very organized and simple, and I had no issues with finding what I needed. He definitely made the course a lot more enjoyable.

I honestly think this is a professor you should take, he is very kind and if you just talk to him he'll give you and extension for things or if you need help. He also excuses 2 of your hw assignments at the end which I thought was pretty nice!. The work he gives out is honestly not that hard, and if you just keep up with your work you'll be fine.

He's very flexible, and gives good amounts of help if you want it. He also has good assignments for self growth and to compare your work with others in a neutral setting.

Professor DuBon is a very caring teacher. He puts his students first and tries his best to help each and every student. The only downside of the class is he is very lenient, which isn't a bad thing as long as you are the type of person to not procrastinate. One downside is the assignments are very wordy and can be kinda confusing to figure out.
