I took Comp II this past summer, he is one of the best instructors you could hope for. He encourages you to "take chances" with your writing. He is always positive. He is also very knowlegable about current and past events.

He is the best english teacher i have never had. Since I am a foreign student, english is not my strength. however, thanks for Mike helped me out. He encouraged me, and told me that if i work hard everything will be fine. finally, he gave me an easy A for the semester.

Mike Earle is a great teacher for those who really want to learn. He encourages students in all aspects of writing, and also promotes "thinking outside of the box". His class is interesting, and he uses a wide variety of subject matter in his curriculum.

I never really liked English based classes, but Mr. Earle made class bearable. I learned alot that semester.

I feel 100% more confident about my writing skills. Mr. Earle lets you write about stuff in your own way and grades you based on your style, not on his or anyone elses.

He was always very encouraging of students. He treated every student with respect, even the ones who didn't deserve it. He is very open to suggestions and invites criticism. He is a great teacher, but not of English. He teaches that well enough, but that isn't where his strength at teaching is.

don't listen to the negatives.. mr. earle was great! he is very kind and open correcting major mistakes or letting you turn in a paper late. He is a very sweet old man with cool tattoos on his arm! I recommend him if you already have a handle on writing like I did.. as for others.. I would suggest someone with a little more writing 101.

This class was definately an easy A. He is a very fair grader! Down side is, is that you have to turn in a paper every week...but hey it's Comp II what do you expect. Mostly watched movies...sometimes class seemed kind of pointles...but an easy A for a prerequisite that most of us must take:)

Excellent professor for those who have difficulty with gorden rule. Small papers due just about every week and format of research paper made it easier to tackle. show you are making an effort and he won't take much off for late papers within reason.

Great semester! Dr. Earle was a wonderful professor who makes it a breeze for someone who has some skill in writing. 1 250 word essay per week and you are on a roll. I highly recommend this class.

Excellent professor! He is always willing to answer questions. There are weekly assignments, but they are a breeze if you attend class and read the required-reading. I would highly reccommend taking ENC 1101 with Mr. Earle!

mr. earl is a great teacher he treated all his student with respcet. he didn't give a lot of homework. i passed his class with a B. he did dose of in some videos but other than that his class was a breeze.

He is a wonderful teacher. Very fair. One or two essays due every week and that adds up to your word count for the class. Very laid back. Do your work and you'll pass with no lower than a B.

Mr. Earle is a fantastic professor! The reading he assigns is mostly short stories and they are very interesting. There are weekly assignments, but nothing major. This is a great class.

Great teacher. This was my second time having Mr. Earle and class was actually a bit more interesting than ENC 1101. It's an easy A, attendance is not mandatory, but he gives you extra credit for each day you are there. Easy essays. One due each week. Adds up to your 6000 word count for the semester. I highly recommend him.

I took Mr. Earle for ENC 1101 and 1102 and both classes were GREAT! He is a wonderful professor and grades fairly. He is willing to help as long as you are willing to ask. This is a college-level composition course, so of course you should understand the basics of grammer and punctuation BEFORE you enter this class. Very interesting guy!

Took this guy online, loved it. Very nice structure; short stories that keep you interested along with a quiz and a discussion post every week, second half of semester was based off watching a movie and writing a review for it; how fun! Pulled an A...very fair teacher.

I was dreading this class since I failed it a few semesters ago (my own fault). But this class was great! I took it online. Yes there is writing involved..it is comp 2..but I didn't find it to be unbearable or difficult. Two writing assignments, a bunch of short stories & quizzes, and a few discussion posts. Take him!

THIS PROF. IS VERY CLEAR ABOUT WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ASSIGNMENTS. HE IS WONDERFULLY ORGANIZED. THE WEEKLY SCHEDULE IS SPELLED OUT COMPLETELY. GRADING IS REASONABLE. I WOULD DEFINITELY TAKE ANOTHER CLASS THAT HE TEACHES. SOME OF THE WEEKLY QUIZZES ON READING CAN BE SLIGHTLY TRICKY, SO KNOW THE MATERIAL.

Professor Earle is amazing. I took his Comp 2 class online and would not have changed a thing. He is a GREAT teacher! If you like online classes you would love his class. The short stories that you read are enjoyable and not boring! TAKE HIM!

He was a good teacher. He was helpful. He did not go over punctuation a lot, but if you are in this class you should know enough with the help he gives you. I had a family emergency and he was very understanding and helpful.

Wonderful and supportive teacher. Not a hard class. Sometimes the material is a little boring, but it's a great way to get through a required class with an A and a good prof.

This class was so so easy, and the subject matter was really straightforward, if a little boring. Mr. Earle is really focused on student success, so if you finish everything in his class, you can work on stuff for other classes. He is a fair grader, and he works hard to incorporate his admittedly dull subject into a useful manner.

This is a great professor, he gives feedback and if you make a mistake you can try again. the due dates are not set in stone and you can make up work. just show up on time and do the work and you will def pas. This professor is a great help and even said he would help re read my work from other professors. great teacher and you will love his class

Best professor I've ever had! He wants to see his students succeed. He leaves helpful feedback on all papers. This class takes about 3 hours a week for homework. He offers plenty of extra credit options. Very lax on grades. You WILL pass this class if you do the work.

Love this professor! As long as you show up and turn in the easy assignments, you will get an A! He will give you plenty of times to redo or catch up. Lenient grader. He offered to be a reference when signing up for scholarships and followed through just as he said. Take him if you have the option!!!!! He is funny, smart, and you won't regret it.

Professor Earle is amazing! He cares about his students and he definitely wants to see each and every one succeed. I took Professor Earle for The College Experience and enjoyed that class so much I jumped on the chance to take him for Comp II. His syllabus contains everything you could possibly need to succeed.

15 short stories & quizzes, 15 movies, 1 research report. We watched a movie every week in his class and then had to write a short analysis. For extra credit, you can watch more movies from list. 6,000 words total had to be written by end of semester. I would definitely take him again. Great professor overall! Loved him..

Professor Earle is a really fun teacher, but his class is very disorganized and hard to follow. There are a lot of assignments and zero due dates so be prepared to develop great organization habits. He's very nice but I think he's been teaching for too long and has a hard time keeping track sometimes.

Me. Earle is the BOMB. He explains the assignments in class. He wants you to write every week but the only way to learn to write better is to keep writing. Ive taking his classes before and I will take it again.

I loved him! He has been teaching for awhile; he's full of tattoos, funny stories and experiences! I actually learned some interesting stuff from this "pointless" course. Super lenient grader; no specific due dates so things can get a little disorganized, but he's charming and wants you to succeed. IDK if i would take him for ENC but i enjoyed him

Great professor, A lot of work though a short 5 paragraph essay due every week. There is a final research paper. He is not harsh with grading at all, i received one C for a paper and he let me redo it.

Dr. Earle is just a great human being, plain and simple! He doesn't expect you to be anything you are not but does expect you to show up, do your work, and participate! If you have an issue, communicate. He's like 80 so he's been around, has fabulous stories, has pretty much done everything and knows his stuff!Take a class just to say you met him!

Prof. Earle was such a nice man who made class a joy! Most of the assignments were online as modules and we had to do a few papers that were quite easy. I would take him again for any of his other classes.

I took this professor during another term at SPC. He really is a fantastic teacher and it's obvious he really cares about his students. The workload is considerable however he gives you everything up front and you chip away over the course of the semester. He really makes a quite boring class fairly interesting.

This professor is actually really cool and its super easy to get a good grade! The only thing I dont like is how he fills the grade book with zeros for all assignments and then changes your grade as you about the class. Other than that the work load is super easy, I can bust out an essay in 20 minutes and receive an A. Super easy going!

Professor Earle is a really nice teacher. He really cares for his students and loves his job fully. Most of the class is watching documentary movies and writing papers (not to hard). We had one research paper to do and he spread it out throughout the entire semester (so not everything is due at once). I'll be taking comp-2 with him to.

He is such a kind man. He clearly cares about his students as people, and hes flexible if you ask. The class is pretty easy - you dont have to put a lot of time into assignments or go to every class to get an A. I still go to class to hear his stories because hes a super interesting guy

Lots of small yet easy assignments. Review the Course Content, as there isn't a due date for anything and you can get confused. Always work ahead, and do the unit quizzes as soon as the unit has been reviewed in class. Pretty easy assignments, just lots of them. One 500-word research paper, 12 quizzes, and one presentation.

Mr. Micheal Earle is one of the most amazing people I have ever met in my life. His experience, opinions, and insight have inspired beyond what I could have imagined. He is fascinating. I'd always suggest to stay every class to hear some incredible information he provides towards the end, especially considering the subjects at hand. Love him!

I have taken this professor for multiple classes that he teaches; he is by far one of the best I have ever had, willing to give good feedback and helpful tips. The assignments are average difficulty, and he is flexible on turn-in dates if something comes up, but if you don't show up and don't turn things in, you won't pass.

Professor Earle, is outstanding. Its college so yes you have to do homework. One paper a week on an old movie usually. The paper is roughly 500 words and you have 15. This guy wants you to succeed and learn. Invest in yourself and you will be rewarded. He is extremely and frankly to lenient on slacking students. Do the work youll Get an A+.

If you have a chance to take his class, than you should grab it. He is amazing. The workload isn't crazy or anything like that. I took his Live Online class and loved it. he is a super chill dude and will give you extra credit and then some. he opens his course early so you can get ahead and he grades in a timely manner and gives great feedback.

Dr. Earle is the GOAT! He gives out extra credit like Oprah gives out cars. He is also a lenient grader. I took him during summer, so we would watch two movies a week and write a 300-350 word essay on each movie. There were some short story quizzes that were easy. Lastly, there's a research paper. You compare/contrast a movie/book, 1000-1500 words.

Dr. Earle was a magnificent professor. I took him for Composition II last semester. He is very funny and insightful. We watched film noir and wrote essays each week. There are also short stories with quizzes online and a research project. He is definitely one of the most interesting professors I have had! I would highly recommend taking him.
