Lectures are easy to follow if listen closely and pay attention. tests come straight from his study guides, which are very detailed and he gives very generous curves. As for the clickers, he's spent hours on the phone with the company, and is trying to get us our money back. he's very helpful and willing to do whatever he can for his students.

Professor Evans is a good guy. He genuinely cares about the students and REALLY wants you to learn. He can be a little scattered but I like him alot. SI sessions can clarify information and the tests come straight from the study guide he makes you! Tests are online and you have a 4 day window to take them, which is extremely convenient.

Dr. Evans is the man! Will go out of his way to make sure the entire class understands the material and if there is something on a test that most of the class misses, he will drop the question. Great study guide. Take him!

You can make a good grade in his class if you study and do all the work assigned. His lectures are a little boring at first until you realize that the tests come from his outline and notes you take in class. I liked the class and made an A-. He likes discussions and works hard to clear up any confusion. He's a great guy also.

Professor Evans was a great teacher. He made sure you understood what was being presented in class. SI sessions were helpful as well. Attendance was extra credit, but going to class will help you as well. I loved his sense of humor. He kept us engaged. I highly recommend him. My highest grade yet is in his class.

I absolutely loved having Michael Evans as a professor. He was extremely helpful. I had an A+ in his class with ease and I hate Government courses. Attendance required but it helps your grade a lot. When I took the class we used an ebook so everything was online which made the class even better. He is a marvelous professor!!!

Professor Evans is a very approachable and enthusiastic instructor. I found that he was more than willing to meet me halfway, provided I put in the effort. He has also been supportive of me outside of the classroom when I talked to him about which career path to take -- which was really going above and beyond what he is required to do.

I have a weak background in math and excel, but he explains all the research and statistics well. I got an A! He will explain until everyone in class understands. lots of handouts. tests are open book and online. keep the handouts & do the study guide. you will get an A! best prof for 3800 by far. highly recommended, i would take him agin.

Dr. Evans is a fabulous professor. I had the privilege of taking his research methods class when he first came to GSU. He expects a lot out of you, but that is what makes him such an excellent professor. He pushes you to really develop into a strong undergraduate academic. He was always willing to meet to discuss grades, ideas, etc. TAKE HIM!!

Dr. Evans was a great professor. He made what traditionally is a very tedious, mandatory poli sci class engaging and showed us the inherit value in learning the material. His office hours were always helpful, and he was truly committed to helping us understand the material.

I took Dr. Evans for American Constitutional Law. Everyone that came to class and took notes received good grades. His lectures are well organized and easy to follow. I took this course (that every other poly sci major seemed to dread) and enjoyed it so much I took his political research class the following semester. Best professor I had hands down

Great Professor that demands much of his students, BUT also clearly explains what he is looking for and why. Not the type to stand and deliver without involving students, encourages dialogue and interaction. Tests are detail oriented and require critical thinking. Wants to challenge students but wants them to succeed as well.

Great class. You must come to class and take notes to pass (extra credit for attendance!) There was one group project but it was pretty straight forward and easy if you work on it throughout the semester.

I have learned a lot taking his American Constitutional Law course and would really like to be able to take another course from him.

Evans is a wonderful teacher! As long as you show up for class, ask questions, and let him know you are there to learn, you should have no problem. He is more than willing to help you out. He does give a group project, but again just show him that you've been working hard and your grade will be high. He also DOES give study guides to his exams.

Professor Evans is overall a great teacher. I was in his online section and he did all that he could to make sure I understood everything when t came to be assignments, tests, and my grades. The online component was time consuming but if you do your part and complete each week's reading along with the questions involved, you'll have no problems.

I've never needed to show up to his class and still get high As on his exams. His exams are exactly what the study guide is, sometimes word-for-word. He does go out of his way for any and every student to make sure they understand something or that their textbook is working, etc. He's very nice and friendly. Lots of reading, but easy reading.

Professor Evans is very knowledgeable and respected, proof is that he wrote the book. Homework will take you no more than 40 minutes a week, you don't even have to read everything. With just a little effort you will make an A. Accessible outside of class , SI sessions are very helpful, gives detailed study guide and in class test review.

One of the best instructors I've had at GSU. He is very understanding and wants to do everything to help his students. There is a textbook that you read and complete study quizzes each week. There are only 3 exams and if you study you will make A's on all of them because they are fairly easy. The lectures are quite boring but sometimes helpful!

I got an A+ with going to class probably about 3 time total. His lectures were so so boring but everything was online/in the book so you never have to go. There was an extra credit opp announced in class so you could only get that one if you attended, but there were a lot more. The tests were word for word from the study guide. Such an easy A+

This man is nothing short of amazing. This professor is all about his words. Meaning if he tells you something that's exactly what it will be. He is sweet as pie and makes class enjoyable and the best part a good lesson. I don't care much about the law but he did increase my interest and understanding of the world I live in and the rules around it

i HIGHLY recommend you take this class. it was super easy, just do the work in the chapters, and fill out the study guide for the tests and you are guaranteed to make at least a B. there's 3 tests, not cumulative, the study chapters in the textbook are a part of the grade and will help you study for the tests

I took Professor Evans online and I enjoyed his course! We pretty much worked with Modules online as our homework assignments. As long as you get ahead of your work and take decent notes, you should do well in this class. He is a very considerate professor when it comes to grades or any possible issues. He gives study guides that match the tests!

Pretty easy going online class! Work is easy, and the study guide perfectly equips for exams, and there is tools on Google to help with class. You can complete work late with no penalties.

I definitely recommend Dr Evans for this course. He is clear about everything that you need to do to be successful in class. There are 3 exams which are not cumulative. There is a lot of reading to do in each module, so you need to keep up with it. All of the homework is multiple choice after each section in the modules. Study guides are key!

Weekly assignments that you can find on quizlet. 3 Exams got As on all of them. Just use the study guides & quizlet and maybe join a groupme. He also gives a lot of extra credit opportunities I ended the class with a 102.

Took this class online. There are modules to do every week with easy 2-5 question quizzes after each one. 3 Tests total (final is not cumulative), taken in the proctor lab. His tests aren't hard but you do have to study. Thankfully, he gives you study guides that's helpful to fill out each week as you go along. Offers a lot of extra credit!

I enjoyed his online class. Although it was online it was pretty easy! Only have 3 exams and like 15 modules with each being due every Sunday. Also you have like 3 extra credits. DO ALL EXTRA CREDITS!! I passed with 101. Its so worthed and the exams are 50 questions multiple choices. Also youll have to attend a museum , its an easy grade.

I took Dr. Evans for a summer online class, he is super super super accessible! There are realizeit moduelsls & quizzes due every week ( you can retake until you get 100). There are three exams not super hard, but you do need to study. There is also room for extra credit opportunities, def recommend!

Highly recommend this teacher. He gave us weekly reading modules and the answers are on Quizlet. But I would still pay attention while reading as it helps on the tests. The 3 tests are pretty much from the study guide so I would recommend filling that out as you complete the modules and quizzing yourself. Should be an easy A if you put in work.

I haven't met him yet since I have to take my course online but he is nice. There's a lot of reading rather than work. The reading is required but he makes sure to highlight the important sections through the chapters. He also specifies what his exams will be on so that really helps a lot. I am not the best at American Government so the criteria was a bit difficult for me. We used Area9 for our textbook and learning material. There were a few activities outside of Area9. The test are on lockdown browser and webcam. The test cover a lot of material and you have to prepare at least a week in advance to make a good grade on the test.

Professor Evans is great! Makes himself very available for students. No surprises on tests, will be tested on everything from Area9. Great communication, and cares about his students. Won't regret taking his class!

One of the easiest classes I've ever taken in my life. Just read the required chapters each week and get an "expert" rating and you'll be good to go. I would study the night before every test and I never got below a 93.

Evans is a very supportive teacher! His online assignments aren't hard to complete. It makes sense to take notes while doing the assignments so that you don't have to look them over again when studying for the exams. There are even free tutors who can help you before the exams. Take his class. You won't regret it.

While I didn't interact directly with Professor Evans much, his correspondence was great all semester! Everyone always freaks out at the second test, and it is hard, but there was a lot of lenience with the tests (lowest grade weighs the lowest, curved). Lots of reading, modules can be frustrating. This class mainly revolves around Area 9 homework, the exams are also based on the Area 9 chapters and questions. Exams are lockdown browser and camera on. Exams are not too difficult if you study the material and use the study guide. Area 9 is pretty simple and he offers a lot of extra credit opportunities. Good professor and easy.

The class was asynchronous so you have to make sure you are disciplined when it comes to work. He's nice when you do talk to him, and the class was somewhat easy you just have to make sure you read the textbook.

He provides tons of extra credit and the study guide has questions directly from the test. The textbook is slightly biased but it has a highlight feature that highlights what you need for the study guide. You don't have class meetings. Definitely recommend this class for an easy A.

This course centers around an interactive online textbook written by Evans. The book is written well, the software can be annoying. There is clear communication through weekly announcements, but you do not directly interact with the professor. Take all the extra credit. SI sessions are helpful, the material discussed there is similar to the tests!

All assignments on interactive textbook. Taking notes on the highlighted areas and frequent questions that are asked when reading the textbook will set you up for success. The tests were very simple if you read over the material. You are obligated to read because it is graded. There are many extra credits and tests don't affect your grades harshly.

It was maybe two hours of homework per week maybe three. I would suggest your class working together to make study guides. I would have failed with out my classmates. Professor Evans actually wrote the book that is used for the class. It reads for you and you answer questions as you read which helped retain info.

This class has weekly assignments which are really easy and are worth 50% of your grade. As long as you do them correctly, you will have a 90+ on that section. There are 3 tests and as long as you did the assignments you will get at least a C. Some extra credit opportunities, but they aren't really needed because it is such an easy class.

I took the online course for polls 1101, there are 3 tests and there was weekly modules on "Tophat" which there a lot of reading. There extra credit make sure to do it as well as doing the modules and reviewing for test.

First and Foremost, I would recommend doing the easiest assignments to the highest grade possible. These grades can add to support you in your low scoring exams. On average, my exams were ~80%, but all my Top-Hat Assignments were 100%, worth 50% of my class grade. Do make sure to fill out the study guide as well. Like!

Weekly TopHat assignments. Weekly assignments can be a little long but not bad when you realize there are no quizzes or writing assignments. Only three tests throughout the semester, last test counts as final. Has opportunities for extra credit with PRSP.

This professor uses top-hat for all assignments which was easy when it came to where everything was located. There is a lot of reading done in this class but he does give you a week to complete the work so I would start early in order to be stress-free later in the week. Three tests and your highest test grade is weighed the heaviest.

Just take the course if you need it! There is some readings to do but I don't even read them. I just go through the material and fill out the study guides and read those instead. Just doing that, I got an A on each of the tests (3 tests in total) and that was it, EASY!!!

I enjoyed his class it was very straightforward and easy. Homework was literally half of your grade so it was easy to secure those points. Exams were decent and were accurate to the study guides. He even gave extra credit points to add to your test grades. Never thought I would get an A in a history class until now so I highly recommend him.

The class itself is easy if you do the study guides and assigned top hat work. You're looking at about 90+ questions on top hat per week. Plus there's multiple weeks in one test so the study guides are literally a must to pass the test. Wouldn't recommend for someone who isn't willing to read. The professor himself is really nice & encouraging.

Overall an easy class. You need to participate in unify college bowl which is 5% of your total grade. Also there is extra credit ie, you just have to do surveys. Highly recommend this class an easy gpa boosting class.

Class was pretty straightforward. You had a couple of reading sections that came with quiz questions (for a grade!!!) and then a test after a couple of the sections. Honestly everything he assigned in a week could be completed in a day, but overall the best pols teacher ive had so far!!!

Even though this is an asynchronous class, it's still easy to learn and reach Dr. Evans when needed. I really enjoyed using TopHat and the clear layout of the course. You also get to engage in dialogue with students and take a deep dive into politics. The course isn't difficult, but staying on top of weekly work and doing mild studying is a must.

Work was put on TopHat which took about 2/3 hours a week to complete which seemed sort of overwhelming at times with other classes but it was interesting, and quizzes got study guides to go w/ them so it's pretty easy to receive an A. Professor is easy to get in touch w/ as well and very nice, overall a pretty good class, I would take again.
