Flax is the greatest teacher. He is one of the funniest and most interesting teachers I've ever had. I learned a great amount in his class, and I recommend you take him.

I feel Dr. Flax is gifted professor--extremely insightful in the area of abnormal psycholgy. He's not just a teacher, he's a facilitator, with an almost Renaissance-like approach to higher education. I would take any course offered by this man.

I looked forward to going to his class. The thing i like the most about him was that he talked to you on a person to person level, rather then a teacher to student. He made everything intresting and he was open to our thoughts. He is my fav. professor!

He's awsome. He makes learning everything so easy. Before a test he tells you basically word for word what's on it. I feel like i've learned so much. He explains everythings and does some really fun exercises in class. He's great.

He is a kewl guy. Easy to pass. The tests are easy to a point b/c he gives you all the terms, but alot of studying and few tricky areas. Other than that, class is not that boring. Take him if you want to pass.

class is a breeze.. he gives u 3 vocab test and a paper of choice and a speech of choice.. recommend u take him for psych...

He is very funny. He also does some interesting activities in class that I enjoyed a lot. The vocab tests are a little tricky, but manageable.

this guy rocks! it's hard to keep the attention of college students at night but he does it. he explains exactly what's on the tests (which are easy if you study for them). he uses examples from his life to explain different concepts. i'm looking forward to other classes with him.

Many people think he is funny.but what i think is boring.His test is easy.Just to study the term he gives u.Sometime he gives some activities in class.but i don't think we need it.

Super easy to get an A in this class..the tests are nothing but vocab words!!!did 1 oral report, gave everyone an A on it, 1 paper..easy! and no homework! he talks about himself alot, kinda boring..but if you want an easy class..this is the one to take!

Very fair professor. Strict with attendance, i was in a 3hr class. Will take points off from participation. Easy class though. If u got bad grades and did not go to class u will get bad grade. Goes over voc. so u could study earlier not last min. enjoyed class would take him again.

This professor is awesome. He really understands the material and explains it in an interesting way. I took this class twice before and dropped it because of the professors. His test are easy as long as you study the terms he gives well... I would recommend him..

Professor Flax is Awesome!!! He gives you all the dates for your test and when your papers are due the first day of class. Perfect attendance counts for a lot of your grade so show up!. He gives you all the terms that's gonna be on the test and all you have to do is study. A+ profsr, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, YOU WILL DEFINENTLY PASS!!!

Great Professor. Keeps the class interesting. Tests are fairly easy as long as you study the vocab he tells you to. One 3-5 page paper and one oral presentation for the semester.

This Pro is entertaning and fun to listen too. He makes this course excting. You will be flipping pagers through out the class. His tests are easy, make sure you underline the words as he goes through what to study for. By the end of the semester you will get tired of him talking about his family, Overall he is excellent. Make sure your not late.

great teacher, interesting & if you fail, you're stupid. 3 tests, all matching vocab, one two to three page paper, and an oral presentation. you can pick the date that you do it, and the sooner you get it over with, you will skate this class. just because i showed up for EVERY class,on time too, my grade that would've been a B, bumped me to an A

Great Professor. Really nice guy and he is straight to the point of what he wants. He has reviews for test test the day before and grades people very fairly. He is not boring at all and does not keep you guessing about what he expects from you.

Really great Prof. Knows his stuff. Attendance is mandatory as well as the book but he makes it interesting and enjoyable. Quickest 3 hours. Gives a review prior to each test.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY THE BOOK... just photocopy the glossary. Tests are vocab matching only. GREAT PROF!!! Funny and interesting lectures, I always enjoyed his lectures. Paper & project are both VERY easy. Make flash cards -- you'll ace the class like I did!

Prof. Flax is a good teacher. He gives 3 tests which are all voc. He will review before each test. You will also have to do 1 paper and 1 oral presentation for 5 min. His lectures and reviews about a chapter a class. He is funny and I enjoyed his class. If you do not want a boring prof, take Flax, he is good!

Fantasic Professor! One of the best I've had. BUY THE BOOK-first professor I had that actually used the entire book! Very entertaining personality, keeps things upbeat. He is a "old school" kind of teacher show up on time...appear interested that's all he really is looking for. His test were all vocab. and his lectures are mixed with personal stories that keep the subject from being boring. He was a great professor.

i thought he was an amazing teacher. he gives 3 tests which are all comprised of vocab words that he tells u to study, an oral presentation that can be on anything that you find interesting, and a research paper on 3 terms located anywhere in the textbook. just show up for class, study the words he gives you, and make an effort on the paper easy A

I highly recommend Dr. Flax if anyone is taking Psychology 101. Dr. Flax is entertaining as well as fair. His tests are very easy, if you study a bit.

Flax is awesome laugh at his stories you will hear the same ones more then once. Be on time he hates stragglers. 3 tests all mc definitions from the text which he will give you the week before. An oral report which you read sitting from your desk and a written report which is easy. He will be good to you if your good to him take this class!!!

Take the class do what he says buy the book and get an A.

Don't take this class for the Summer unless you want to study about 60 definitions every week. The test are easy if you studied and know the meaning. That's all the test is. Can't be late. Has a sense of humor.

Very easy teacher. Only 3 vocab tests. The definitions are exactly same as textbook so without books, it's very hard to study for the words. There's also 2-3 pg. paper and 2-3 min. oral report (which you can read from your desk). He's very funny at times, but can get boring b/c he repeats jokes and things he said 5 times in beginning .But very easy

He's a very easy going teacher as long as you do what you have to do. He does repeat his stories sometimes but he puts his emotions into everything he says. I had him for his 3hr night class and he was able to keep you awake. I found his class entertaining and easy. He gives out 3 vocab tests and tells you what to study. He's an easy grader as well

i loved professor flax! he's this funny old man that loves all his students. the word load is very light. 3 vocab tests, (he tells you what to study), a paper, & a presentaion. and no hw, midterm, or final. the class always has a learning part and then a class activity (so fun!!). i honestly looked forword to his class to the very end.

You will not learn much about the science of psychology but you will learn a lot of definitions. Dr. Flax is an easy grader if you make an effort in your work. He grades exactly what you earn. He truly tries to entertain his students and keeps you engaged. The three hour class flew by for me each week! I am glad I took Dr. Flax for this course!

Easiest class everr! 3 vocab tests, presentation in which you don't even have to stand in front of the class you can do it in your seat, and a paper. You'll learn more about his life and experiences than psychology but it's all worth it

Cons: Tests were harder than I thought. There were terms that he didnt even mention or said too quickly for us to find it in the textbook(You wont have time to write it down). Make sure you have the right edition book. Itll make ur life easier finding the vocab terms. Pros: he tries to make the class more interesting and has class activities

Dr Flax is an easy teacher. He goes through every chapter in the book and gives you terms you will need. There are 3 tests, an oral presentation, and a written paper. Very good grader! If you are thinking about taking him, do it!

Dr. Flax is a wonderful professor!...he keeps the class interested and compares psychology to stories of everyday life...he gives you alot of vocab words to memorize...and explains everything you need to do for the entire semester early on so that you can be ahead...if you don't do well in this class its your own fault!

Very easy professor. Three exams, one oral presentation, and one written paper. Tests are just vocab that he reviews for certain chapters usually 75 words and he picks out 25 of them, so study! He grades oral presentations leniently and your written essay as well. Attendance is important as well.

Easiest class I ever took. Tests are just vocab out of the book so you might want to buy it. He's very funny. Always let us out early. Couldn't tell you one thing I learned but he is a very nice person. You're an idiot if you don't take him

What a comedian!!! Going to his class was like going to a comedy show every time! I Loved going to his class it brightened up my mood on my darkest days! Warning! Professor Flax was awesome! His tests are vocabulary words he goes over in class the week before. He had us do a research paper and oral presentation, in which he grades EXTREMELY well. I recommend him !

Professor Flax is an amazing teacher. On the first day you receive your syllabus, he explains it thoroughly. The syllabus consist of 3 tests, Oral presentation, and a Research paper. It also shows you how everything is graded, for example what percentage everything is towards your final grade. Book is needed to study terms given for tests.

excellent teacher and really interacts with the class but if you dont have the text book & you dont show up for the reviews then your not passing. He reads from text book & gives interesting stories that go with them if your just starting to learn about psychology i totally recommend him. His test will be tricky but study & they're a breeze

Dr. Flax combines his extensive knowledge in psychology with interesting stories, both personal and fictitious. If you attend all his classes, it's quite difficult to fail. He grades extremely generously and basically tells you in detail what to expect on the tests. Highly recommend taking his class!

Professor Flax is a very compassionate teacher who cares about his students. He gives 3 tests which are really not that difficult. It's just matching definitions and he GIVES you the words you need to study so there is no excuse to fail any of them. He's funny and loves to make class interesting.

Great teacher. 3 tests for psycholoy 101. All questions are matching and he gives you every single term that will be on it in the review. He states the 25 terms that will be on the test. Class isnt too much of a drag. highly recommenced

I found professor Flax to be extremely interesting. He gave great lectures and really related the topics to real life situations. He has an extensive background in psych which helps. He gives no homework and is very easy to talk to. Id highly recommend if you want a good professor and interesting class.

I absolutely loved Dr. FLax. He's very intelligent, worldly, empathic, and is hilarious. The stories that he tells have profound teachings and excellent life lessons. I think everyone should take this class as a point of reference to living a more fullfilling life (when you pay attention). It's the teachings most of our parents never gave us lol.

I CAN WRITE A BOOK ABOUT HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS MAN. HE IS SO AMAZING AND I SERIOUSLY GET SO UPSET WHEN I REALIZE I CAN'T TAKE HIM AGAIN. I was hesitant towards taking a night class but I honestly enjoyed going so much and this class was extremely interesting and kinda made me wanna become a psych major so yea 10/10

Easy A. His class was very boring though and class participation is 20% so you pretty much have to attend if you want that extra percentage. He goes over all vocab day before test, that's the only day you really learn anything. Study night before each test and you should pass easy. One oral presentation and one essay that he grades very generously.

Even in a 3 hour night class he manages to stay fun and interesting. Forgiving and generous grading.

Dr. Flax is very caring, he is a great professor. I would definitely take another class with him if he had one! Study your vocabulary and you will do well. you get 3 test, 1 oral presentation on your topic of choice, start it asap and get it over with, so worth it! and your essay which is also easy pick your topic and do it and get it over with.

Professor Flax is my favorite Professor. He made everyone laugh with his stories. The vocabulary was hard to understand when reading it but in class he gives real life examples that are hilarious and help you understand the vocabulary better. No homework, just wants you to study vocab. English is my major and this class interested me in Psych.

Prof Flax is a real gem. Read the textbook, show up to class, go to the review session!!!! If you go to the review and listen to his mega monster hints you'll pass. He's a great man who wants you to learn something. You just have to listen to his stories.. which are actually interesting.

If you do the work, you will do well. Show up, do the readings, participate and pay attention to the review. Over the last 10 years this was my third attempting to take this class both times I dropped the class but no professor has grasped my attention like professor Flax, he artistically goes over topics and terminology and relates it to real life

Hands down one of the greatest professors. His lectures are comedic and engaging. The years of life experience that he passes down to students are invaluable. Great for general studies, or for those with a knack for psychology. Lenient grader and accommodates many situations. This course changed my life for the better, maybe it could for you too :)

Amazing teacher and cares about everyone. Very straight forward about the assignments and tests. He also does really great reviews that guarantee you'll ace his tests.

There's 3 test, 1 paper and 1 oral presentation. Easy grader! The final exam is not cumulative it is about the last chapters. Get ready to sit and listen for a long time but he is very knowledgeable. He taught great lesson that will follow me forever! Plus you get to share with your classmates struggles and it's nice to know you aren't alone.

the best professor ever honestly, the test is literally finding the definition for the word( he literally goes over it with you in class a week before you can't fail[use your phone's "voice memo app" to record the review ), one 3-5 minute presentation, one 3-4 page paper EASY. I'm being for real you literally can't fail this class.

Professor Flax is a awesome professor. He is so caring and has so much knowledge. His 3 hour classes feel like nothing because everything he talks about is related to real life. He is the most inspirational professor I have ever encountered. I am glad to have taken his class. To learn psychology and terminology just read the book. But to have a sense of what the final purpose of psychology. Pay attention to the lecture, he focused on what being healthy is, and ways to achieve it, from therapy, to manage psychopathologies.

Now that the semester is coming to an end I can say It was simple. 3 tests all vocab terms from the book which included with the course. One oral presentation and one paper. It's best to show up since he takes that into consideration and the last class will consist of averaging out your grades.He's an old man but funny he does talk a lot lol.

I loved Professor Flax! Overall, his class was very easy! He assigned one five-minute oral presentation and one three-to-five-page paper. He gave three exams which were all terms and definitions that he went over in a review session. Even though the class was easy, you can get a lot out of it if you pay attention and participate!

I was overwhelmed in the beginning of the class knowing there are a lot to cover in the textbook. Prof. FLAX made the class work and homework and exam managible. His vast and deep knowledge of the subject make each class meaningful and inspirational. He is a great professor.

Professor Flax's PSY101 class is a gem. His deep knowledge, engaging lectures, and forgiving grading make it a manageable yet meaningful learning experience. Unstuck ai is a great study tool to complement the textbook and review sessions.

Prof Flax is truly unique -- his teaching style is very engaging and genuinely cares about students' success -- one oral presentation, one 3-5 min paper, and 3 tests which he gives the answers for in a review session. One of the few professors that actually care about giving meaningful classes. He has a lot of knowledge and care for his students/class. He divides class in 2 so we get a break and get us to participate, do your work (1 oral presentation, 1 paper) and ace the tests (3). Is an easy class but he can also leave a meaningful impact in your life.

Super easy class you'll get an easy A. He yaps a lot so buy some Dunkin before class and you'll be good. I've literally left mid class to get coffee. Barely any work too just bring ur phone and chill. He gives u all the answers for the tests before hand only 3 tests. 1 Oral presentation and a paper due. That's literally it. Super reliable! I took this guy in 2017 i think i just remembered him for whatever reason, great guy really changed my life, i have seen a lot of teachers in my life but easily best or top 3. You would be lucky to be in the same classroom with this person.

Lectures were long but super interesting and funny. If you are open with responses and participate in class it's fun and entertaining. I would definitely recommend
