This class was so easy. The review is basically the test. If you take anyone of his classes you won't regret it. It's probably the easiest "A" you will ever get!
He is a great teacher..super easy..i would recommend him to anyone..
He is such a nice guy and everyone will get an A, but you won't learn a thing. Don't buy the book, just go to class. He gives you all the test questions and answers in the class before the test. And he'll let you get them later if you missed them. Easy!
Super easy class, but bid waste of money. Boring, tells the same stories too many times, dont even have to attend class to get a A. Did not learn squat, but super nice guy.
It's such an easy class. He gives all the questions and answers before the test and all he does is tell stories. You don't have to take any notes...just write down the test questions. Only one group project which he talks you through anyway. Take his class if you can
This guy is a sweetheart! He wants you to do well and he is very understanding about everything. He tends to tell the same stories over but it's ok. I have his class last and its a breath of fresh air after running around all day. If I could take him everything I would.
HE IS A GREAT TEACHER. HE HELPS YOU MORE THAN ANY OTHER TEACHER IN THE SCHOOL. HE IS VERY DOWN TO EARTH AND LETS YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IS ON THE TEST. HE DOES ASK THAT YOU COME TO CLASS. EVEN IF YOU DON'T COME CLASS YOU'LL STILL PASS.
has got to be the best professor teaching today. Tells interesting experiences(he knows his stuff)and is very straight forward about exams and assignments. Its almost impossible to get anything lower than an A.
BEST TEACHER EVER!!
He's one of the best professors on campus. If he sees that someone may not understand a certain topic, he will go over it again and again until everyone understands. He wants the best for everyone. It's almost impossible to not get an A.
mr flint is one of the nicest teachers i have ever had. he truly cares about his students. he will go above and beyond to help you with a question. grades consist of a midterm, group presentation, paper, final, and attendance. TAKE HIM
Wonderful teacher... definitely the best I've ever had. Great stories, and he makes sure you actually LEARN the material without making it boring. I had his class at 8:30am, and I never missed a class. TAKE HIM!!!
This guy is so awesome that even though i didn't take him this semester I'm rating him to the max. By far the BEST professor I have had in my education career. I think I learned more in his class than any other class.
he dosn't really talk about the class but you learn from his experience and he gives all the questiions and answers and then u have a test.
Impossible not to get an A. Given exact questions and answers to the test and the presentation you have to do, you are guranteed a 95 or so just for attempting. Great teacher and nice guy. Take him at all costs.
Awesome teacher. Incredibly easy! Gives you the test questions before hand. Guranteed an A if you just go to class. He tells stories the whole time and you will find him repeating the same stories over again. Hes a great person and a better teacher. Take him if possible
his class was so boring and i feel horrible saying that because he is sooooo incredibly nice and wonderful and all that good stuff. gives u the exact questions and answers to final and midterm. (attendance not mandatory no matter what he claims- he wont hold it against u). He's great!!! take him!
I had him for poliCE&society and CJ Systems and I just loooove me some FLINT! he is the coolest guy at UCF! gotta love story time plus his tests are easy, project-easy! TAKE HIM!!!
Best teacher I've ever had. Interesting fun class
AWESOME professor!! Would def. take again!
as long as u go to class u'll be str8
Wonderful class. Learned a lot in his class. Project was fun and test were easy as long as you come to class. Will help you out with anything...Wonderful professor....
the sweetest teacher i ever had(i am a junior). this teacher is every students dream. interesting(has alot of cool stories), easy(before every test he puts all the questions and answers on power point display and allows you to write them down word for word (even the multiple choice letter the answer belongs to),& doesn't penalize for absence.
A student's dream teacher indeed. Extremely easy (literally gives you all the test questions/answers), very nice and laid back, and just cool all around. Attendance isn't mandatory. I highly recommend him.
Take him!!!! Easy A
Class is a little boring, but he is a great guy. Take this class, it's definitely an easy A. :)
Great professor! Definitely take him if you can! As long as you go to class, you will get an A because he gives you the exact questions and answers. There are only 2 tests, a short paper, and a short group presentation. Everyone gets an A on their presentation and paper.
Flint is awesome. He gives you all the questions and answers to the tests before the test and his stories are really funny. He gets kind of boring but he's nice as hell and wants his students to pass w/ good grades. Take Flint if you can.
Awesome teacher great guy! Easy A take him.
Professor understands that college does not have to be hard for the students. He will make class very easy and will use stories from personal experience to teach the students. There are no tricks to his exams because everything is covered in class.
super easy class. The presentation is the only real work and thats not saying much. He basically wants you to say something in a group presentation and you know how that goes. He is so easy going and is is very pleasant to talk to. It seems that he is more concerned with your overall college career and not just how you do in his class. Take him.
Awesome teacher, very nice, very helpful. Take him
This class is an easy A. Flint is a nice guy, spends class time telling stories of his own personal experience. There is a midterm, a final, and a paper/presentation. He makes it all very easy so you can get a good grade.
You learn a lot and get a good grade doing so. A model professor.
Awesome Prof. Must take him. He is interesting, understanding, and helpful. Gives reviews of the test questions! Highly recommended!
Excellent Professor .
Awesome professor. I'd definitely recommend taking him.
if you dont get an A in this class, you dont belong in college
The easiest professor ever, but the most interesting at the same time. He has lots of great stories of his experiences, guaranteed A.
This guy is the easiest professor in history. if you just come to class. Do the easy group presentation. You can't get anything but an A. The test are word for word from his power point notes. If you can;t get an A in this class just quit school it's that easy.
Really easy teacher but makes class interesting with his experiences.
Very interesting and easy class...he has a tendency to have a lot of interesing stories but forgets that he tells some of the same ones over and over...gives you the questions in advance so all you have to do it show up for the test and you will do well...so go to class if to only get the questions...his class goes by quickly cuz it is so good.
unless ur brain dead ur goin 2 pass this class
Easy..but you may want to shoot your self in class when he goes off on one of his rambling stories. Nice Guy but is changing his teaching method just a little because of morans who have to cheat on a test where he already gives you the answers!! wow HE GIVES YOU THE ANSWERS! and people are still cheating thats boarderline retarted
Class is boring, but he gives you all the answers to the test. He can run off on tangents, but I would say he's one of the easier professors to take. Final is easier than the midterm.
Flint is the best CJ teacher at UCF. So easy and incredibly nice. Has the greatest stories. Gives all the answers to all tests in class. take him for anything you can.
Took him for Organized Crime and was very disappointed in the class. Students plagarized on powerpoint presentations and the test answers/questions were given verbatim to the class. If you take pride in your learning, don't take this class with this professor.
An excellent teacher. He makes the material very interesting and simplistic to learn. He hands you the answers to all of his tests on a silver platter, which in my opinion helps me learn the material even better, because then I don't have to go searching for answers. Take Flint whenever you can!
Great Prof. He is one of nicest and fairest teacher I have had. I would highly recm'd
NEW UPDATE ON FLINT!!!! He no longer gives you the questions (he may give you a couple at the beginning) and the answers to his exams. However, if you pay attention to what he puts up in the notes, then you should have no problem figuring out what is exam material and what isn't. Pay attention to whatever he has written in RED!!!
Best Criminal Justice Teacher at UCF. He really cares about his students and wants the class to do well. Didn't really use the book much. Take him!!
I adore mr. flint. He is very sweet and makes it very clear what students need to do to well in his class. If you the chance, TAKE HIM!
I have been taking Flint for the last 3 semesters. Had him for Criminal Justice Systems and it was so easy, I got an A+. Then in the Summer I had him for Police and Society. It was just as easy but since I knew this I thought I could slack a little more. It was a bad idea. I did bad on the first test but was able to pull my grade up with extra poin
Only 2 exams and 2 pop quizzes; gave very good reviews for exams (almost told us the exact questions on exam); very nice and fair minded - the type of cop every cop should be; 1 group presentation with paper - just do them and you should get a B, put a little effort into it and get an A; I took 3 classes with him and am glad I did.
This is one cool professor. Flint is an excellent teacher that has street knowledge. All of these other CJ Professors just know the book knowledge, FLINT has both (street smarts & book smarts). Great guy and has interesting stories. I have alot of respect for Flint!!!
Boring, boring, boring, but he has encouraged many students to draw by his lectures. If his slides were available online class size would be cut by 75%.
HE IS THE BOMB!!! ATTENDANCE IS NOT MAN. BUT RECOMMENDED B/C HE MAY GIVE IMPORTANT TEST QUESTIONS ALSO U GET XTRA PTS FOR GOOD ATTENDANCE. 4 QUIZZES, M.T, FINAL, & PRESENTATION. THE QUIZZES ARE THE HARDEST BUT WILL NOT CAUSE U TO FAIL... FLINT CARES AND WILL HELP U IF HE CAN!
Flint is awesome. Take him. Easy and informative. Just make sure to read or else you are screwed.
Very nice- funny stories! Quizzes sometimes arent over the chapters they are supposed to be- but still do the reading- you will be fine with the curve. Very thorough reviews for exams.
Very good teacher. Interesting, fair, and relatable. Class is quizzes, presentation/paper, midterm, final. Gives extra credit for good attendance. Quizzes are the hardest, so be sure to do the reading. Does curve if necessary and will drop the lowest quiz grade. No reason at all to not get at least a B.
Flint is a cool guy, tells a lot of cool stories from his experience in law enforcement. Tests and paper/presentation are pretty easy. Quizes are the hardest thing, you have to read tons of pages from the book. He curves and drops the lowest quiz grade. If you study a little bit, you should get at least a B.
Flint is my favorite college teacher. He is concerned about you getting his message, not about making the class difficult. He gives 3% of your final grade extra credit for just showing up, and he cares about you
Flint is a great teaher to have.He has a story for about everything but sometimes dose ramble. He is very nice answers any questions give extra credit for showing up. easy group presentation,4 quizes (kind of hard, but passable), 2 test (mid-term and Final), what comes from the quizes are one the tests and he tells you whats going to be up there
I took this class for an easy A based on these reviews and I can't argue that his class isn't that difficult. However, his lectures are completely pointless. Nothing he talks about it one the quizzes or exams. Quizzes are on the most random parts of the text but he gives you a 60% JUST for trying. Easy teacher, but pointless to attend class.
great teacher very nice, always helpful. quizes are impossible but its an easy B but hard to get an A. class is kind of pointless but the extra 3 points attendance makes it worth attending.
flint is a cool guy...quiz are randomly generated from the text...once you take the quiz, he will give the answers, and those appear on the test. so make sure u r there once he passes the quiz back
4 quizzes which are completely from the book.(hard part)midterm and final are basically the quizzes(easy part)and a three page paper. Hard to get an A because of quizzes but a B very possible.
flint is a cool guy...but his classes are POINTLESS! i dread going to class because i know i wont learn anything. There are 4 quizzes (very hard, randomly generated from the text..hard to pass) a midterm and final (which are easy!) just study for midterm and final and you'll easily get a B! Like i said, EASY TEACHER but POINTLESS LECTURE!!
Flint's class has changed from everyone gets an A to everyone gets a B or C. Everyone fails his quizzes and even with a big curve you still find yourself with a B or C. Tons of reading from the text. Class is boring, he just talks about his experiences. If you want an A your going to have to work for it otherwise you can coast an easy average grade
Flint is an expert, Hes seen it all. I had him for Corrections and Systems. Grading styles were the same. 4 quizzes fill in the blank (tough) but he wont let you get any lower than a 60, Midterm and final which are the quizzes over again but mult. choice (easy). You give a presentation with a group which is pretty fun. I reccomend him to anyone.
Flint is the BEST! I've taken him for 6 classes, never gotten lower than an A, and trust me I didn't try that hard. He has the 4 multiple choice quizzes, very random, but he usually curves the score like crazy, then you can challenge questions afterwards and end up getting 120%. The midterm and final are EASY. Trust me, TAKE HIS CLASS!
Don't bother buying the book because you can read all of the chapters and still fail his quizzes, since its on whatever comes to flint's mind at the time. Class is a waste, he just rants on about stories of his life. Incredibly boring. Flint's professionalism as a professor is frustrating for serious students, because he just doesn't care.
WORST TEACHER! DO NOT TAKE. Quizzes are random, reading the text will not help. His lectures are pointless. Didn?t learn anything from this guy...I am usually a straight 'A' student and haven?t made anything higher than a 52 on his quizzes
I was born into a police family, I am an A student, and I read all the chapters assigned and I still get 60's on his quizzes. Don't read anything because his quizzes are based off on what he thinks up at the time of writing it. If he likes you al lot you'll get out with a B. I wish I had never taken this class. It significantly lowered my GPA
My parents are police officers and I can't say that really makes a difference. In order to do well in this class you need to study the book and the notes very well for the quizzes (drops lowest one). For the midterm and exam, it is easier to study because most of the material has already appeared.
Always the same: 4 quizzes, multiple-choice midterm and final, a group presentation, and 3 page paper. Quizzes are unmercifully difficult, but he gives giant curves. Everything else is easy as long as you put forth minimal effort. Extra credit for solid attendance. Don't expect to learn anything pertinent from the lectures. Easy B or better.
Easy class. His quizzes are difficult but his exams are extremely easy. His quizzes are word for word from the book but everyone usually fails it. He even says so. Very funny Professor. Very lax and nice too. Attendance is required if you want extra credit but you don't have to come to class.
Flint is a nice guy, just a horrible professor. His quizzes are WAY to hard, and it's all fill in the blank from things he just thinks up off the top of his head. Reading the book is useless, and his powerpoints aren't helpful either. I'm an A student and this class was unnecessarily hard. I'm lucky if I get a C in this class.
AMAZING! Quizzes were "extremely" challenging but reading the book, attending lecture and reviewing the material can get you a good score on them. Definitely lenient with his grading. Midterm and Final are multiple choice. He is remarkable, challenges students but if you put the effort and seek his help he will review with you for hours.
Nice guy. Bad professor. He's a retired cop that was bored so he started teaching. His class is useless, and opinion based; Flint rants his personal views over course material. Easy class but a complete waste of time. NOT recommended.
Flint, Some say he is easy and some say he is hard, thats because you roll the dice when taking a class with him. Yes the quizzes are hard but he gives you a serious curve... so you are not graded on what you know,(you cant study for a quiz) you are graded on whether you can do better then the person you are in class with. good luck!
Flint is an awesome teacher, if your not a CJ major you wont gain much from his lectures besides a good laugh. As a CJ major I gained a lot from his experiences though
Mr. Flint is a greatn professor!n He is very understandable, he works with you. His quizzes are hard, but it does matter becuase he doesnt fail anyone, as long as you try, youll pass the course. Hes test and finals are easy because he gives you your quizzes and midterm to stud for the final. he is very easy!!!!!!!! I have taken about 6 of his class
TAKE THIS CLASS. This guy goes out of his way to help you! he gives you his cell number in the syllabus and you can call him day or night and will help you with whatever you need!
VERY HELPFULL if needed. Quizes are hard but tests are piece of cake. Also, requires group work which will give an easy A if you complete it! Attendance a must to do well. Talks too much but sometimes the stories have a point to them and helpful in learning the topic.
great teacher! is super funny and has great stories. he takes attendance daily and if you go, gives you extra credit at the end. his quizzes will make you feel like a failure, but he always passes his students. IF YOU ARE OFFENDED BY PROFANITY,DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! he is always there to help his students.
Flint never lectures on what is in the book. He believes it is your duty to teach the book to yourself. He will quiz you on the material and curve appropriately. He never uses the raw scores and will drop the lowest adjusted quiz scores. 4 quizzes, 2 exams. Exams are made up of the quiz answers. 1 group project, 1 small paper. READ for an A.
Flint has been my favorite professor at UCF. He is very knowledgeable and has a passion for what he teaches. Four quizzes throughout the semester, and drops the lowest grade out of them. Does a group project halfway through the semester which is an easy A. Two exams, both based off the quizzes he gives you. Curves everything to make sure you pass.
Professor Flint cares for his students. His quizzes are hard but he curves them. Quizzes are a mix of lecture and book. Exams comes straight out of the quizzes. One presentation, 1 paper, 4 quizzes, a midterm and a final.
Awesome professor with funny and interesting stories about being a police officer and correctional officer. Quizzes are fill-in-the-blank, but are steeply curved. Goes over everything in detail in class, and by his own admission is impossible to fail his classes. Even if for whatever reason you can't go to class, reading the book would suffice.
Pretty unpredictable class. His lectures are interesting enough, but he rambles and gets off topic. This makes it hard to take good notes. His quizzes are surprisingly brutal (the answers are very specific and fill in the blank), but thankfully he curves them a LOT and his tests feature the same questions. He tries to give you at least a C-
While Flint is a nice human being, as a professor I wouldn't want him to be mine again. He jumps from subject to subject, and sometimes gets sidetracked by a specific thing. His lectures don't really make sense. He gives three or four quizzes. They're fill in the blank. He has a midterm and a final. Get the book and read it and take notes
Lectures are confusing and seem not worth attending because of his rants of random subjects. 3-4 quizzes, midterm, and final. Quizzes are harder than tests; warns that you wont be able to answer all the questions. Why he still puts those questions on the quiz is a mystery. Retired cop who now teaches, lack of expertise shows. Will not take again.
He makes the class fun and worth taking. His quizzes are pretty difficult but he curves them and his exams are much easier. Only one paper assignment to do with a group. He gets side tracked a lot but it's pretty funny. The textbook is not required but it could really help. As long as you do his work and show up, you will not fail his class.
Lots of unrelated stories
Taken him twice so far once over summer and once in fall. All of his classes are the same 4 quizzes a mid term a final and a group project. Best advice take him over summer lectures Monday and you do quiz/test on Wednesday and presentations. He doesn't believe in F's as long as you attempt everything you'll get a C- even if you fail everything
Love Prof Flint! Super inspirational cop/military retiree. His class is very simple, four quizzes (basically two exams, a midterm, and a final) and also a group presentation (super easy) where you also have to write a 3 page paper. Super simple and I love his lectures although sometimes boring, he has some funny stories from his many experiences
Take him! This is my third class with him. 3-4 quizzes, midterm/final, and a presentation. I have a 97 in his class. Yea, sometimes he rambles on but study his Powerpoints, skim the book, and go to class (he gives extra credit) and you'll get an A. He is truly inspirational especially for those who want a career in law enforcement. Very nice guy.
Very easy class, lectures were interesting he spoke from experience, he is very loose and laid back but out for you to succeed, tests and quizzes are curbed to the performance of the class and not a lot of assignments, if you want to pass, take him he is also very helpful in giving career advice in the field.
Professor Flint isn't terrible, although his classes can be a bit frustrating. There is always 3-4 quizzes which are IMPOSSIBLE but he won't give less than a 60 and drops at least one. Grade really matters for midterm, group paper and presentation, and final. He gives you the answers but likes to add stuff we didn't discuss. He won't let you fail.
He is a great teacher, i have taken him in every class he teaches. if you pay attention and read the textbook you will pass with an easy A. expect a group project its super easy takes no time to do.
Prof. Flint isn't a "bad" professor, he is caring and believes in second chances. However, his quizzes are a bit much, all written 25 question quizzes, they seem impossible unless you have a perfect photographic memory. The actual multiple choices exams (50-60 questions) are easier than his quizzes.. However, he doesn't give F's. You won't fail.
I liked him as a person because he's funny and overall a good person. But quizzes are HARD bc 25 fill in the blank/short answer questions based on lectures and chapters in the book. And he flat out says hardly anyone gets an A in this class, and you won't become valedictorian by taking this class. But you can't fail due to the way he grades tests.
Nice guy, but the class is boring and structurally, it's frustrating. Don't get the textbook. There's no point. There's 3 exams plus the final & most of the questions are on Quizlet. Also gives away exam questions during class. There's one project which is super easy. Drops lowest exam grade. Adds curve. Just show up, use quizlet & you'll be ight.
Professor Flint is so easy! You could fail every quiz and he will give you a 60 regardless, plus whatever the curve is. He bumped my final grade up by a whole letter grade. Everything on quizzes are pointed out on his lectures and quiz questions are exactly what is on the midterm and final word for word.
Took CCJ 4076 Crime Analysis II online over the summer. Second time taking Professor Flint's class. Great professor, super kind and nice. His quizzes are hard but he always curves and if you fail the quiz he will still give you a 60 plus the curve. We had to 3 textbooks for this class but he gave us pdf's so all free.
There are no textbooks required for this class, however, he provides 3 PDF documents that the course material comes from along with weekly PowerPoints. The quizzes consisted of questions that were straight forward from the PowerPoints, or very trivial questions from the readings. You cannot get lower than a 60 on the tests.
He doesn't lecture past the midterm. The typical averages for quizzes are in the 50s. He does curve the quizzes so everyone passes. If you want an easy (but stressful) pass, take this. If you want to actually learn something about organized crime, do not take this class. And he forgets where he is sometimes.
Flint does not teach. He goes on tangents about his time in Russia, meeting Miss Colombia (or something), or whatever catches his eye that day. His class is not easy either, you have to read to get close to being able to answer his quizzes, but even then nobody gets A's. Be prepared to read and be bored to death in this class.
A lot of people didn't like his class. I thought it was easy. 3 Quiz can be tough, fill in the blank. Study pwrpoint+read txtbook, quizlet and you will pass. Esp since he gives a generous curve. Throws out lowest quiz. Midterm was easy but he threw in new material so watch out. Didn't study for final, got a 97. Gives A's on project. Boring lectures
Honestly, this class was all over the place. Test dates were constantly moved around and his lectures were basically just him giving talks about his life, which is interesting, but made learning hard. His quizzes are IMPOSSIBLE, but he curves the heck out of them. Gives extra credit just for showing up to class.
Flint has some interesting discussions and readings but doesn't provide clear grading criteria and instructions. He is not a tough grader though so as long as you put in effort you are fine. The hardest thing were the quizzes which he tries to make hard to prevent cheating but they are so difficult it would be impossible to pass w/o ctrl f.
Near impossible to fail, but quizzes are insanely difficult. There are sometimes large curves on quizzes and exams. His discussions are mostly geared towards people going into law enforcement as an officer. Examples are used in multiple classes and may feel repetitive if you have taken him before. Overall not a bad course but not an easy A.
His quizzes are beyond hard and irrelevant but he does give a big cure. However, if one person does well everyone's screwed over. Midterm and Final are easy and one group project which was extremely easy.
Prof. Flint gives three fill in the blank quizzes, a group presentation, and a MC midterm/final. All quizzes and tests are curved, and Flint will not let you fail because he feels that retaking classes is a scam. During his lectures, he tells great stories about his career and his experiences. Ask him for anything and he will be happy to help.
Class is discussion posts, group project, mid-term and final. He will never fail you and always grades with a generous curve. For an online setting he was non-existent in this course. We learned nothing as a class. Was on vacation in Canada while grading remotely. Bad at responding at email. He was so bad that students started calling his boss.
Hands down the worst professor I have ever had during my academic career. He is the most disorganized professor I have ever seen and will take weeks to reply back to you. Randomly closes exams before deadlines. You will not learn a thing. PowerPoints and syllabus recycled from 2007. He is not worth the stress, avoid this Profesoer at all costs.
I took Professor Flint for Police and Society. His lectures had nothing to do with the course material and they were very boring. His quizzes were almost impossible to pass even with hours of studying but he does grade on a curve. Extremely easy group project. I would not recommend unless you like lectures that don't actually teach course material.
