such a nice guy, very helpful and friendly. you gotta read to do well on the tests tho. and take the practice quizzes online, a lot of those questions will show up on the test.

He is a good guy and really wants to see his students pass. I wouldn't suggest tryin to pass w/o reading though.

Real nice guy. You don't have to go to class and he assigns no homework. Just do well on the exams and bonus mastery exams are always helpful and easy. A good way to study is to take the online quizes.

My toughest class, but my favorite! I study a lot every week and I'm goin' into the final with only a B. But I've learned more here than in any other class so far...

You just have to study for exams and that is it. To study just look at the website for the book. You dont really have to go to class but sometimes he has exam questions about stuff he said in class. He's a great professor and is funny sometimes.good class

Very inspiring- You'll prolly get a C on his tests if you study for them the night before. He drops your lowest grade and doesnt take attendance. Cool guy!

I absolutely loved this class! I want to be a sociology minor now just because I was so inspired by Pr. Fraleigh! he's so intelligent and passionate about what he teaches he says this course will change your life...it did!

Not a big fan of sociology, but Fraleigh makes it fun and interesting. I definitely reccommend this class. Be nice and give him a chili pepper.

Prof. Fraleigh is a great guy and a good professor. Lectures aren't boring, and there is no homework. Four midterms, lowest grade gets dropped, and opertunity for easy bonus points. Just show up, do some reading and you will def. get a good grade. I'd definately recommend taking him.

Great guy. You learn a lot. The tests are hard and you definitely need to study a lot but if you keep up on the reading and go to class you'll be fine. Very nice professor. I would defintely take him again and recommend him. Funny classes. No work other than reading and studying for tests.

Prof Fraileigh was an awesome teacher. He really made class lectures interesting, and made me laugh a lot. Make sure to read the book as much as possible and go over the chapters using the course website.

Pr. Fraleigh is one of my favorite professors he is so into what he teaches and really knows his stuff! I would definatly recommend/take him again Exams are difficult but he gives bonus points after so it's worth it! overall Awesome guy!!

This guy was the MAN! Tough, but interesting. Sometimes boring, but helpful. The web site really helps for the exams. If you read the chapters you will pass. And he doesn't take attendence!

I loved this course, it was very interesting. He is a great story teller, although sometimes longwinded. The tests are easy with moderate studying, Hard to get an A, but very hard to get below a C. Great Guy, take this over psych!

He's a good professor. The tests are kind of hard, but if you study and don't miss to many classes you'll do fine. He also makes up study guides/practise tests and puts them on his website for each chapter, which help alot.

Test are too hard...Almost impossible to do.. I have studied a lot for his exam but still I did bad. There is too much thing to memorize.And final is cumulative. Great teacher though...

I was interested in the topic before taking the class but it wasnt what I was expecting. He is a good teacher but his tests are hard. Doesnt really stay with the book but you do watch a lot of films in a night class.

Looks like Bob Ross without the afro...good teacher, classes are all discussion, who knows where he gets the test questions from. Participate in class and put a little effort into the papers and you'll do fine

you have to basically study everything on your own, and a lot of people have trouble on the tests. hes pretty quirky (its the only word to describe him) and its fun to spend class laughing at what he says, good class to take!

this guy is the man. there is absolutely no work to do in this class at all. no papers, no projects, nothing. got A's on the exams with minimal reading and studying. doesn't make you take the final if you get all A's. if you don't like doing work THIS is the class to take.

Ignor the Bozo who said you get all A's without going to class or studying. I studied my butt off just to get a B, and a lot of the exam questions are not from the book, so if you miss a class, you got a problem. I don't know ANYONE who thinks this class is easy. Great teacher, though!

This is definitely t he best class I have ever taken, and Dr. Fraleigh is the best prof. I never worked so hard in any class before, or learned so much. This class is amazing! It literally changed my life. It should be a required class.

Interesting class, you need to keep up with the reading to do well. He values students' opinions and ideas and is always concerned with the class progress. Recommended.

Fraleigh is a cool dude. His lectures are very interesting. The class is also pretty easy - he ends up dropping the "hard" questions from the tests. Final grade is composed of four exams and then a final. No papers or attendence policy. You learn a lot -and the tests aren't that bad - he makes the mateiral come to life with interesting stories

you dont really have to do much work, and he can be kindof all over the place in his lectures, but hes a real good guy and very understanding about other stuff you have goin on

One of the best teachers Ive ever had. His lectures are interesting and he is a really funny guy. He is the reason I want to minor in sociology. I do not think anyone will regret taking a class with him.

Fairly hard class. First day he says the ave. grade is a C+/B-, and I was hoping to get way above. However, he was right on. Currently with a B- and put more effort into this class than any others. Very interesting though. All exams are multiple choice. Good class, just hard exams. Very nice guy, extremely helpful. Hilarious!!!

Tests are tough all multiple choice. Have to read the book. Not alot of homework. Very helpful if you need help. Could do a better job of giving students idea of what kind of questions are going to be on the test. Would help if key points of lectures were on powerpoints

Taking a course of Fraleigh's was quite an experience. Attendence isn't mandatory, yet still the classroom is almost always full. The tests, however, are a whole lot easier if you do attend class on a regular basis. He's funny and he really knows his stuff. Take his class. Sociology is interesting stuff, and Prof. Fraleigh is excellent.

a good guy, but class can get a little boring at times. its a lecture class so if you can sit and listen for the time your ok. tries to help students out a lot and as long as you do the readings(which there is a lot)you will do fine. i don't read the textbook and just show up to class and have a c- so the clas isn't impossible. definately take him

Prof. Fraleigh is the nicest guy you will ever meet. He is a very good teacher and as long as you come to class and pay attention you'll do fine. Reading is assigned every week at beginning of year so you know what to do and when to do it. Course is easy

Fraleigh's class is great. He gives interesting lectures. Attendence is not mandatory either. If you read the text, and remeber his lectures, you will do great. He is also gives extra credit. I don't really see how he can make this class any better, he only gives four exams and a final..the perfect class for a college student. INTERESTING TO0.

They are no homeworks, but the test are hard you have to study a lot and they are all multiple choice but there are some question very tricky. You have to attend to class because many of the questions come from lectures. you have to study all becuase you do not know what is comming for the test. After all he is a very nice professor.

this professor likes to go out on tangents. However, some lectures are very interesting. His favorite topic is about sex and it is mentioned in every lecture. A lot of times though, the lectures are very boring and dull. You must read the chapters to pass, but you can problably get by using just studyspace. Overall great professor.

You only need to be there for exams and classes after. Between class lectures, do not cover terms that are on the exams but are general idea/story lectures. So, you if just need the class as a req, you won't learn much in it. Tests are not too hard. Do quizes/vocab from study space.

Professor Fralegh is great! This is the best class I have taken! The class was interesting and the professor was very helpful. The tests are hard, but 1/3 of the questions come directly from his lectures, and they are not in the book. So you hafta go to class. But if you do, you can do well in the class. I highly recommend this professor!!!

Overall a great class. Does his best to make the boring subject interesting and often succeeds. Would recommend taking. Very fair.

Lectures are mostly large tangents, but they are generally interesting. 80% of the tests are from the book. They are fairly difficult, so more than a casual reading is necessary. Anyway, he's very friendly.

Very easy and entertaining to listen to, and not bad to look at either. He has a passion for the material that makes it enjoyable to go to class. the book is not bad, 1chap/week. exams are mix of lectures+book. overall great class, would take anything he taught.

If you like to read, this is the class for you. Class is somewhat dry and not interactive, but if you like listening to lectures, this is the class for you. As long as you carefully read the book, you'll do fairly well in the class.

This is the second class I have taken with Professor Fraleigh, and I took his SOC 251 for just this reason. He is an extremely enthusiastic professor and accomodates students more than any other professor I have had. He is very respectful of students and values their opinions to better his classes.

I have taken Fraleigh for 2 soc classes at bryant both very interesting. Sometimes his lectures can be lenghty but do relate to the textbook topics. Make sure to read the exam questions are derived from the reading. Really nice guy, always there to help

Excellent Prof. No homework, no attendence, no projects. Grade is comprised of 5 exams(of which he drops your lowest grade).Although attendence is not mandatory, I still found myself wanting to attend. Simply read the book and utilize the study space in order to be successful. He takes about 15% of exam q's directly from the study space.

Fraleigh is an awesome teacher who really knows the material. The class requires a lot of reading, but if you do the work you'll do well. He is very helpful. Why should he give out a study guide, aren't we in college?

I would definitely recommend him. He loves sociology and his class is really interesting. There is a lot of reading, a chapter a week usually around 35-40 pages. You need to read and know the details but his tests (multiple choice) really aren't hard if you do the reading. If you put the time in you can get an A. I am taking him again this semester

Dr. Fraleigh is great. The concepts are difficult but his lectures are so interesting he makes you want to learn. This is my hardest course this semester and also my favorite. I wish I knew about him when I was a freshman.

This is the best class I have taken in college. The reading is mostly interesting and Dr. Fraleigh's lectures are excellent. Today's lecture on Marx, Hagel and the dialectic was what a college course is supposed to be. I am so glad that I took this course and I will be taking Dr. Fraleigh again in the spring if I can get in.

He is so passionate and wants to help his students to achieve things they never believed they could. He has a tough life growing up and found meaning in sociology and his passion is apparent every lecture. He has a great sense of humor and can relate to students. Class is only hard if you don't read. Take him and you will NOT regret it.

Not the easiest test but a very good Professor.

Professor Fraleigh is one of the sweetest professors you'll ever take. It's a very lecture-based class, no class discussion. We take tests every 3 chapters and the tests are moderately easy. He seems to care about his students and has a down-to-earth personality. Lectures are pretty interesting but slow, so you may zone out. Take his class!

Extremely nice and willing to help but lectures are boring. Gets off topic quickly. A lot of reading and the exams are very hard. The class is essentially self taught. As the semester progresses less and less people show up.

Exactly what you should expect from an intro to Soc course. One downside is the stupid Inquisitive assignments due each week. He thinks they help us study better. For me, personally, they're just an added 1-hour of work each week and they don't help. If you're not stupid, you can easily get an A in this class. I skipped it a bunch of times.

Very easy class if you simply go to class and read about an hour a week. Minimal studying required if you take good notes on the chapter. Very nice professor and is understanding and willing to help if you need it. Keeps class interesting by dissecting into specific areas of sociology.

Easy A, come and sit in class, listen to the guy talk and do the reading and you should do fine.

Nice guy and willing to help anyone in office hours, however exams are so irrelevant to the text and class lecture. really difficult to get a decent grade. Don't take
