Rocks the house. An asset to the department.
This is the best teacher i have ever had in my life.
Great teacher and easy tests but bad life advise.
understanding people - hard grader, course title and description are misleading

he's always doing something different to keep the class interested... including shooting people in the face w/ a water gun... class can be fun but you definitely have to study for his tests
GREAT professor.. knows what he's talking about and explains all areas of the subject well. His sexiness is a little distracting but I personally felt this made me want to attend class more.
Frank is the most arrogant prof.!
One of the best professors I've had. Makes the class very interesting.
crazy crazy guy! incredibly energetic, never a dull moment and he knows what he's talking about. Will teach you and make you either laugh or think he's out of his mind...maybe both! but be careful, he gives hard tests, and thats all your grade is based on
no abilities
Wonderful, Wonderful professor. Anyone who doesn't like him has very deep seated emotional problems, and should not be studying psychology, but seeing a psychiatrist.
Very interesting and fun lectures. However, has hard but fair tests. Somewhat biased (even says so in syllabus) but can back it up. Would take again.

Really Entertaining and fun. Good teacher very helpful and easy to understand.
Arrogant. Thinks he is the best...GET A LIFE!
Very nice guy, however his test are very difficult, but he is willing to help you out.
He does all large class lectures, but you don't have to do anything but read the book at your own leisure until one of the three exams comes up, so it's easy

I am so bad at math, and he explains things so well. he wont move on to a new topic unles he is sure that most of the class understands. He makes class interesting, and he really knows what he is talking about.
I had him for Intro, and he was terrible. He didn't teach anything, he just talked about how great he was and how many drugs he did in college. If you actually want to learn anything or pass, stay away!!
boring lectures
incredible teacher. he teaches very well. if he noticed someone in the class didnt understand the math he was doing he would stop everything and make sure they were up to speed. definitely take him if you have to take stats.
H definately will make sure you understand before he moves on. He however does discuss some topics in class that is offensive and down right crazy for the classroom.
he's a good teacher, but u have to read the book to do well on the exams and make sure u study...he can come off a bit harsh at times
I don't know what these people are talking about. I had Mike Frank for intro and he was amazing. He does tell stories sometimes, but his lectures are always exciting and he knows his****. Must read the book for the class, but if you study you can easy get a good grade. I love Mike Frank!!
Dr.Frank is a good teacher, and pretty entertaining in class. Recommended.
Class is fun and he's very entertaining. No homework or quizzes, only 3 tests. Each count as 30% of grade and attendance is 10%. He puts notes online to study for the tests. Tests are difficult but you have plenty of time to study.
Awesome prof! He teaches with passion and is fair. GO TO CLASS! You learn a lot in there and he's hilarious. Lots of great stories and makes lecture interesting. Knows what he's talking about.
he made me cry my freshman year :-( and once he yelled at me for yawning. ok not yelled. berated me. hes a jerk. but i know some people liked him

This guy...I can't even explain him to you...but he's HORRIBLE. Stay as far away from his classes as possible if you even want to consider graduating on time
This guy is awesome.Every1 told me 2 take him 4 stat psych & they were right. He really makes u understand it & won't move on until u do.I recommend every1 to take him it was a good learning experience 4 me and he stimulated my interest in the subject. It seemed like it would be hard but he made it easy.Notes and book allowed 4 tests!Def take him!!!!
He is a rude man with a interest in statistical methods of psych. He goes extremely fast and there is no curve on any of his exams.
he is a very helpful professor..he has 5 million ways of explaining things to you to make sure you understand. He's very thorough. Material is a little tough, but if you do the homework you'll be ok. Tests are open book/ open notes so they're not too hard. Definately recommend him for stat. methods!
Lets face it the material sucks and is boring, but he really makes sure you understand it and will do everything to help you. He is a great proffesor and a really nice guy.

Excellent teacher, if you go to class and study your notes, you'll do well, he makes the class flow well by being interactive and keeps you awake by constantly switching it up, everybody's got their pet peeves, just give him respect and he's the nicest guy in the world
very clear and helpful
Very funny guy and a very interesting class. His class is like watching comedy central. However, the multiple choice tests are all that you are graded on and they are very very hard. I ended up getting a B+ but I worked my ass off for it
His guy is crazy, yet very intelligent. He makes the course interesting, however his tests are so dam hard, and I study all the time. It's well worth it and you'll learn so much, just show up and don't be late, participate and you'll do fine. I recommend him if considering taking a Psyc. course.
No one knows what he is talking about. He favors certain students. He has no problem calling other names. Unfortunately he has tenure. Don't take his class!
Class can get boring, but is very easy. He gives you a study sheet for each of the three multiple choice exams and there is no final. As long as you do the study sheet class is easy.
Extremely BORING lectures!! Tests are incredibly hard! Studying doesn't help. The only good thing is that he loves what he is talking about.
i took this in the summer so everything was fast but all the exams are open note and open book, and he did not move on until everyone in the class knew exactly what they were doing. I'd recommend him for stat, he's really helpful.
This class is the most boring class ever. Don't take this teacher unless you want to fail. He lectures for 2 hours straight, no break, and the tests are really hard. Even if you study you won't do as well as you expect. Don't take this class unless its absolutely necessary.
I had him for intro to psych & statistical methods and thought that he was great. His psych lectures are quite interesting as well as entertaining. The statistics class was challenging, but he had open book & open note tests. Overall, I really would recommend Professor Frank.
Can be very boring but gives a study sheet on what to study. I always knew what I got on the test before he gave it back. If you go to class and sleep but study hard for each of the three tests you can easily get a B.
the lectures are very boring and will put u to sleep however he is a nice man and gives u a study guide of everything on each exam but u have to study very hard to know all the material!! i thought i was gonna get a C but ended up with a B- so im satisfied
a great professor-especially for freshman students! kept class interesting even thought the material is kind of boring. the tests are hard though--so you actually have to study.
great class. study study study for the tests. they are hard but he keeps class interesting--the topics are great and he's very funny. experieced, has a doctorate in psych. and is soo interesting. take this especially if youre a freshman.
I have to tell you. I do not know what anyone was thinking saying that this guy was a greattttt teacher. He is completely arrogant...he uses unneeded profanities in class, constantly messes up and has to be corrected. He is always pointing people out and embarrassing them for "forgetting a calculator"..can we get any more petty? hated the class
Not a bad teacher, entertaining. It's easy to get lost. Everything is based off the text, you HAVE TO READ to pass. Attendence requirment. Tests are very easy if you study - he gives a handout with everything on the test a week in advance. Three tests (all mult. choice), no homework, no essays. Notes are all online.
He is a great professor! I loved him..If you don't study for the tests you definitely won't do good..he keeps the class interesting and in my opinion is fair to everyone..there are 3 tests in his class and attendance counts!
he was a terrible teacher. all over the place. always keeps you til the last second and will start a new section with five minutes left. always talks about sex and drugs and curses alot. kinda unprofessional. veryyyy boringgg
wonderful professor, he makes sure that everyone knows and understands the material before he moves to new topics.
unprofessional, but will at least hold your attention. will keep you until the end of class without a single break. will confront you in front of the entire class to ask why you're leaving early. generally annoying and crazy.
Wonderful professor! brillant man. he knows everything there is to know about stats! very helpful, he will always meet with you and make sure you understand everything! he makes sure every students understands all material before moving on. he curses a bit much and is a little unprofessional but overall he is a great teacher!
funniest professor I ever had. really tries hard to get you to understand the material. 4 tests that make up your grade, little homework, overall fun class.
def take for stats.he explains VERY WELL n is very wilin 2 anser any questions if u dont n wont go on if sum1 is unsure of a concept.3 exams multiple choice which makes up ur grade.hw only at the end of each chapter.if u do the hw n go to class u shuld b fine.for me it was easy becuz i took it in hs so if its ur 2nd time around dont worry 2 much
Hard class. encourages you to ask questions and likes it when you do. He is funny! He uses minimal cursing. You need the book definatley. It would be highly recommended to attend if you want to understand everything. 4 tests worth 100% of your grade. Makes it clear if you are screwed in the class if you dont understand something. Helps after class.
Take this class! You only have 3 tests and attendence is 10 percent of your grade. You do have to read the book and study but its a fun class and he makes it interesting.
I loved this professor, easy a for me. three exams are easy, he gives you a study guide with all the material you need to know. I never picked up the book, and I was fine. Although Im pretty good at test taking, its pretty easy if you study the info.
Stats is a hard class to begin with but he makes it understandable. as long as you come to class and read the book you will pass with a good grade [i get b's on the test when i dont read and a's when i do so its up to you]. dont have to be good at math just have to understand the logic, most tests dont have many math problems on them
Really knows how to teach! Everything he said I understood, it was almost magical.
Tries to be helpful, but he REALLY makes you feel stupid for asking a simple question. Really nice guy and great statistician. If you don't mind getting shot down every now and then, he is actually a really good professor.
Frank is pretty cool. There's only three exams the whole semester, no final. you just take a test every five chapters. go to class, pay attention. he takes attendance. if you miss, nbd, he posts all of his powerpoints online. it's pretty interesting too. overall, i like frank.
Had him for intro to psych and i hated him. exams were nothing like his powerpoints and he is a freaking creep. he slightly curves but exams get gradually harder.study guides he gives are not specific and quite broad. i didnt like him much
Prof Frank is a pretty interesting guy. He's really nice, very clear with his lectures, and funny at times. He's pretty good at staying on task and if you have him for psych you are guaranteed to learn a few cool things. I'd say he's a solid choice.
I loved Frank. His tests are hard but if you study in advance in know the material you really shouldn't have a problem. His lectures are very intersting and he does not want you to fail. He's a tough cookie but I would absolutely take him again. You're supposed to be challenged!! He doesn't baby you in class which I loved. Go Frank!
Doctor Frank takes a humanistic approach to teaching. He will take the time to help you understand the statistical concepts that you need to know as a psych student. He is always ava. for extra help during office hours. This semester he had a personalized final exam review on a free class day. attended. So go to class, do the homework and pass. 123
He was a fair teacher. If you aren't a good multiple choice test taker, I wouldn't recommend him for Intro to Psych because 90% of your grade are the tests and the rest is attendance with no extra credit. I ended up getting a B+ and I had to study. He really does want his students to do well though.
I'm not a fan of Frank or this class. He's an okay teacher but he seems a tad off to me. His exams are hard and all multiple choice. There are also two research studies you must participate in.
no hw, just do the study guides and review them a few days before the exams. not too hard, really good at answering questions. really knows what hes talking about, i found him funny and entertaining. i highly recommend him
I really liked Professor Frank. He was funny and smart. He emailed us the powerpoints so we didn't have to take notes in class. I'm glad I'm a psych major and will get to take more of his classes.
This class is easy in the fact that there is no homework but the tests are kinda hard. I'm getting a b in the class now but thats only because of lab and attendance. Both tests I have received a c on and i actually studied. I went to him for help and he was extremely nice about it but I still am having a difficult time maintaining a B
Such a difficult class, no doubt about it. Dr. Frank uses the textbook and the exams are extremely hard. But that's the only negative thing. I loved having him and he's cool and helpful. Would totally recommend him to anyone
I really liked this class. I ended up with an a-. In order to do well you have to read the textbook and study a lot for the tests. Only 5 tests but they are lengthy. His lectures were long but most of the time helpful. The textbook is what really got me through this class. It was VERY helpful and explain everything so amazingly.
Great, intelligent and interesting professor. I am a psychology major now because of his intro to psych course. Not an easy A, have to attend class, have to pay attention and have to study... but well worth it!!! He's awesome!
worst professor every statistical methods... doesnt even know your name the attendence sheet goes around by numbers relies soly on the book and will give you text book answer even if you dont understand his goal on the test is to confuse the hell of you you can study all you want using the book and his notes but your gonna fail either way DONT TAKE
To be honest, if you have the opportunity not to take him, DON'T.
hes all over the place
I'm going to be honest as i can: me personally, i would never take him again. He is funny and entertaining but besides that, his class is the reason why i want to give up. i want the semester to end so badly. His test are extremely hard and that is the the main thing he grades. textbook is mandatory and he teaches stuff you don't need to know.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!! Nice guy, friendly but just a TERRIBLE TEACHER! If you're good at math you'll do fine but if you're terrible at math like me, you'll never pass! In the beginning of the semester he says everyone will pass his class then by mid-semester he says he basically doesn't give Cs or Ds and unless you're doing good you'll fail!
Good teacher, knows practically everything there is to know about Psychology. His tests are long and vaguely relevant to his study guides. If you don't read the text book chapters, you're in for a rude awakening. I never thought I'd find myself celebrating with a C+ until I signed myself up for this class. HARDEST psych teacher in Stockton.
This wasn't the easiest class I've ever taken but it also wasn't impossible. You HAVE to read the book or else you're done. His lectures are supplementary to the text. I thought he was pretty funny although he occasionally crossed the line. He often ran out of time because he got too caught up in certain topics but I still enjoyed his lectures.
I really like Frank as a professor, he has an awesome personality and makes class interesting. His tests are hard but if you study you will do fine. A lot of people do not like him because he challenges you, but if you are willing to do a little bit of work then take Frank he's one of my favorite professors!
He is a really funny professor and i enjoyed his lectures but somehow I did not manage to do well in his class. I rarely skipped class and I would study for the exam and still manage to do poorly. I asked him for extra credit but he DOES NOT give any kinds of extra credit, which did not help me.
If you're looking for a challenge, take this class. You definitely have to work for your grade and you definitely have to read the textbook thoroughly in order to pass his exams. He is an interesting professor, but definitely not easy. However, he truly does love what he teaches.
Professor Frank is a unique man who loves teaching. His lectures were very interesting and I was always excited to go to his class.
I took Professor Frank for Intro to Psych, and honestly it was a very fair class. Students should expect to read the textbook if they want good grades. The reason I got an A was because I read, went to class, and studied for exams. There were no surprises on the exams. Just keep up with the reading and you will at least get a B.
There are 4 tests and attendance, that is all your grade is. Read the book. If you're not good at math, you might want to take another professor but he really is an awesome guy.
TESTS ARE LONG AND SPECIFIC BUT IF YOU ACTUALLY READ THE BOOK AND GO TO CLASS YOU'LL DO FINE. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY FOR A GRADE BUT ALSO IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL. FUNNY GUY, WILL ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE AFTER CLASS. WOULD TAKE A CLASS FROM HIM AGAIN
Very hard when it comes to exams.
Started the semester hating him! Now I would definitely take him again! He's such a chill guy and really knows what he's talking about. He's definitely one to crack jokes all the time and really likes teaching about sex lol. He knows how to make his lectures interesting and gives a study guide for every exam! Study the guide and read the book!
Stats is hard but Prof. Frank makes it as understandable as it gets. He breaks things down so its easier to understand why you are doing what you are doing. He's also hilarious. Can't miss class at all though, if you miss one lecture you'll be lost for the rest of the semester. the tests are hard but passable. study study study.
I took his intro to psych class and i really liked it. I learned a lot and his classes were really interesting. A lot of people complain that it's hard to get a good grade but if you do the work and read the book you will.
Dr. Frank is one of the worst professors I've had at stockton. I tried so hard to like him but he isn't helpful and comes across very rude and arrogant. None of his classes are required to graduate so take them with another professor if you can.
Professor Frank is very straight forward. I had him for intro to psych and he gives lectures right from the book. You MUST read the text that corresponds to the notes if you want to fully understand the material. His test are about 100 questions multiple choice (about 4 tests altogether) and they are right from the book. Material is interesting!
If you're a lazy person who does not like to read then I suggest that you don't take intro to psych from Frank. You HAVE to read the book in order to pass the exams. Everything that's on the exams comes from the book. His lectures are extremely boring... I basically taught myself, but the class is really easy if you read the book and STUDY.
Has some tough tests and is very quirky, but all in all a good professor
I had Michael Frank for Stat and for Intro. His intro class was pretty intro. If you read the book you'll be fine. His stat class is pretty hard. I'm not very good at stat though. All of his tests are open book so you need to take good notes and attend lectures. He's also really funny and makes his lectures as interesting as stat could possibly be.
Prof Frank only lectures. Its pretty boring and difficult to pay attention. The topic is easy but his exams have a lot of detail and you HAVE to read the book. He also takes attendance and only allows 2 absences or you lose points on your overall grade. But if you attend class, the attendance points give you a boost.
So many rules and regulations. Lots of lectures, reading, & homework.
Frank was not a good professor, he would do examples on the board and then realize he'd do it wrong. His exams constantly had mistakes on them so you never knew of you were getting a fair grade or not. Even with taking notes during his lecture, reading, and homework I was still only able to get a C. He picked on students who had a difficult time.
There's 5 exams based off 2-3 chapters. So no midterm or final which is great. Gives a study guide from the book so it's easy to study. You NEED to read the book. Attendance is mandatory but you can skip just get someone to sign you in. Do the required research portion asap bc there are online studies you can participate in to get your points.
Mike Frank is an incredible professor. He is so passionate about psychology and his one goal is to share his knowledge of psych to his students and inspire them. He's not the type of professor who's lazy and lets class out early or gives careless lectures, he makes the best out of every class and teaches in depth. Most inspiring professor.
Frank is a real gem. He's so hilarious, and the things he says during class really makes it enjoyable. Read the book or you won't pass.
Mike frank is an amazing professor. He's super funny and keeps class interesting always
Great professor, no homework, just class attendance and a few exams. Yes, you have to show up to class, pay attention, and study. If you have trouble in his class then you SHOULD NOT be in college.
Show up, read the book, pass with a B... at least.
He's a great guy. Super funny and plays good music before each lecture. He knows what he's talking about which is a great thing you want in a professor.
Professor Frank is one of the worst teachers I ever had. All he does is talk, talk, talk. Only lectures, super hard to understand and follow along. I studies so hard for his tests and failed all of them. Had to retake the course. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
He was okay, but I always fell asleep during his class. I never paid attention in class and still passed. Attendance is mandatory, but I did work for other classes during his lectures to keep me awake. He gives out study guides before every exam. Just read the textbook and outline it and you'll be fine.
In this class you really have to make an effort to teach yourself the material as 90% of the lecture isn't on the tests. he teaches formulas but the tests are mostly difficulty worded logic questions. There are four exams, mandatory attendance, and hw isn't graded. however you absolutely NEED to read the book and do the hw if you want to pass.
Professor Frank is a nice guy but a complete garbage teacher. Half the time hes doing stuff wrong on the board and needs to be corrected by the class. Doesnt really explain the material well. He really just does problems on the board and doesnt explain what hes doing or why. Tests are open note/open book which helps but you still need to study.
You will be lost regardless if you read or do the homework. He goes super fast and forgets that you don't know what you're doing and he does. Also, he messes up on problems and people catch the mess up so he's back tracks and did the problem wrong. So if no one caught a mess up he taught us the wrong thing the whole time. Only 4 tests.
Professor Frank has to be the best professor that Stockton has to offer. His jokes are weird, but it makes the class interesting. I don't think I was bored at any point during class, and he made the content interesting and easier to understand. You do need to read the textbook on your own, and as long as you actually study, you'll be fine.
Honestly one of the worst teachers I've ever had. Lectures the entire class period&then wants you to go home & read 80 pages of the text book, do the chapter tests,&do the study guide just to get a B on the test. Beware to have him say it ALL THE TIME. Also we had to do two research classes that he didn't say to us throughout the entire semester
Professor Frank was one of my favorite professors this semester. His tests weren't at all hard as long as you read the textbook and actually understand what is being taught to you. His lectures are very funny and he teaches in a way to make sure everyone understands. He's a great professor.
While Professor Frank's class was very lecture heavy he broke it up with his relatable and hilarious personality. As long as you read the book and take the practice chapter tests you will easily get an A. One of my favorite professors all semester.
Mike Frank was an absolutely AMAZING professor. His lectures were very detailed and interesting. He was honestly the funniest professor ever, and it made the class fun. Tests are quite detailed, but if you study your notes, the guide, and the book, youll pass with flying colors! 10/10 would recommend. Hes retiring though, so that sucks :(
he was pretty a pretty cool dude. honestly if you read the book you could pass the class easy.
Really cool professor. Guy knew how to lecture, the class was never boring. TA's were also very nice. Only had 4 Exams, and a few labs that were very simple. He was available outside of class. He is the type of professor that wanted to see his students succeed. I would take his course again.
