This is the best teacher to take for calculus. I hate math in general, but his class makes it easy. He explains everything clearly and is always willing to answer questions. If you take notes in his class, and do some homework problems, it is hard to fail this class. My only gripe is that apparently he is not teaching Calculus 2 or higher for now.

Really good Teacher. He explains everything and if you need help, he is more than willing to help you. He reviews over the material on a test or quiz right before you take either so they aren't too difficult. I enjoyed this class and would highly reccomend it!

Attendance is not mandatory, but he does not use the book. Therefore, if you go and take notes, his tests are straight from that. He writes out everything and explains well

Great teacher! He does not assign homework, he just gives you "suggested homework" which actually helps you with the quizzes and tests. If you work the problems you will do fine. His tests usually come right from the problems. He gives an overview before every quiz & test. Attendance will only help you in borderline cases.

Fulkersons a good teacher, he writes everything down and explains it well, though it can seem confusing at times. His quizzes are pretty good study guides for his tests, which are pretty difficult. If there are problems though, he'll curve them. Overall, a very good teacher that cares about how his students do. And he's a pretty funny guy sometimes

I think we can all agree is not everyones favorite. Professor Fulkerson makes this class more enjoyable than others. Quizzes are once every week pretty much and he reviews before the quiz. He wants you to learn your stuff. May be a stickler not letting you out early but it's well worth it. It'll pay off when you take your tests.

If you need to take College Algebra, take it with Fulkerson. He is nice, interesting and easy to understand. He does tend to over explain at times, but that's a good thing if math isn't your strong suit (like mine). He is SO helpful. I missed two quizzes and I'm making an A. He can also be a goofball and big math nerd, but it's endearing.

The material was right out of the book so the level was normal, but he teaches it to where you will understand. I definately recommend him especially if you don't like the subject.

Mr. Fulkerson's class was extremely easy. It is perfect for the person who maybe struggles a bit in math. He explains everything in detail and doesn't mind meeting with you out of office hours if you have questions.

HW is assigned weekly/bi-weekly -typically not too demanding, though, there is usually one, maybe two, difficult problems. His tests are a little more difficult - no notecards - so be prepared to know definitions and proofs. His grading is tough but not unnecessarily harsh or picky. All in all, excellent professor. Highly recommend for any class.

Fulkerson is a really nice guy & explains the subject well. His basic algebra techniques are a little different from the way I learned, took a little getting used to, but interesting. Want an A? Go to class & do the homework - that's all it takes. No note cards on tests. Had him for CALCULUS 2. Would definitely take any math course from him.

You can also ask him any questions and he'll devote time in class for all questions. Extremely helpful and always wants to make sure that everyone understands the material. Show up to class, and you'll at least make a B.

The man is the greatest thing to happen to UCO's math department since Byrne. Actually, he's considerably kinder than Byrne. He genuinely desires for you to do well, and he will review everything as many times as needed to make sure you understand it. Fire Hopkins, and give her classes to this wonderful human being.

Hands down he is one of the greatest professors I've had. I took him for College Algebra and I loved this class!! He explains everything to where you should have no problem understanding the material and you can really tell that he loves what he does.

Probably the best prof I have had in a long time. There are assignments but he doesn't collect them, just there to help you learn. I only do assignments when i don't understand, which was only twice. There are quiz's, usually pretty easy and sometimes take home. Study the quiz's and your set for the exams.

I took this online college algebra for business class after failing the in person course. Fulkerson was amazingly helpful & super understanding. He's actually the coolest dude I've (never) met. He drops the three lowest scores of weekly quizzes and offers replacement exams for low score Definitely take him for this course! You will not regret it.

Great professor, explains things really well. This professor was one of the best I've had in a long time. Homework is optional, 10 quizzes(most of them are take home), and 4 exams. Study the quizzes and in class notes and you'll be fine, didn't open the book once.

10 quizzes; some are take home and some are in-class. 3 exams and a comprehensive final. He assigns homework but it is for your own benefit, meaning you don't have to turn it in or do it. He is very willing to help anyone. He also saved my butt by curving my final grade. Take him if you can, he is an amazing professor and human being!!!

Fulkerson is a great teacher! He is helpful in every way. I had him for Calc 1 and I passed the class without doing the suggested homework. Just take notes and read those. Show up to class for the notes. The quizzes and tests are just like the notes!

I was dreading taking College Algebra because I'm not a math person, but taking it online with Professor Fulkerson was the best thing I could have done. He sent weekly emails to remind us about the modules due each week, and even has a YouTube set up how-to videos for each new section. Highly recommend.

If you understand math pretty well, I highly recommend this class. You can either use your physical textbook, the online textbook, or watch his videos. I only watched his YouTube videos. You have a set amount of homework and quiz or two each week. 3 exams & an optional exam then the final. I didn't contact him once b/c I understood the material.

I took Dr. Fulkerson's Calculus III class over the summer. He was very willing to answer questions and was clearly committed to ensuring that students understood the material. He assigned seven quizzes, with the highest-graded six applying toward the final grade. There were two main sectional exams, one final. Excellent professor overall.

Easiest class I have taken thus far. Took his college algebra course online. He provides youtube videos for you to watch which are extremely useful. Exams are not timed which means you can spend as much time on it as you need. As someone who needs more time to spend on math this class was so needed.

He explained everything really well and answered everyones questions until they understood the problem. Doesnt assign homework, just exams and quizzes. So far my favorite professor Ive had.

Dr. Fulkerson does an amazing job at making his class easy to succeed in. The online class has weekly modules, and in each one is a quiz/video that relate to that topic. I never thought that I could actually learn math from videos, but he makes them so clear that I never even had to email him with any questions.

Fulkerson rocks. He posts videos on youtube for every section and makes it so easy to understand. Online, he makes us do around 25 questions of homework with a 10 question quiz per week. Never thought I would learn so much from youtube videos but he explains it so well.

I took him online and the class was a breeze. His lectures helped me to understand what I couldn't learn from the online textbook. He was also very understanding when I had a glitch with my network and was unable to turn my homework in on time. The only grades taken in the class are the quizzes (one every week) and exams (four).

Doesn't grade homework, but you should do it. Lets you use a graphing calculator. We spent a little to much time on thing in the beginning so the end of the semester was rushed. Gave us a formula sheet on the last 2 tests because of it. Helpful, reasonable, and wants you to learn things.

I hate math in my high school years but when i went to the UCO i took all my math courses with him . Easy just follow these steps: 1- Take note of what he write on the board ( don't bother with the textbook) 2-Three quizzes before every exam, the quizes will come from the notes. 3- Exams will be the same as the quizzes so just study them. Profit.

If he ever teaches Modern Algebra again, do not hesitate to take him! He is an awesome professor; his lectures are easy to understand, his exams can be difficult, but that's only if you don't study properly, and he is always accessible outside of class.

Homework and attendance not required, still recommend you come and do work though. He's SUPER good at explaining concepts and very thorough, he'll explain it multiple times which may be tiring but it helps stick. Super helpful and willing to meet outside of class to answer questions or work through problems. Exams are just like the quizzes. 10/10!

Professor Fulkerson is very knowledgeable. He also wants his students to learn, which is awesome! Math is hard, but if you ask him questions he is eager to help and explain. He gives homework, but its not required to turn in, only grades are quizzes and exams

I would not take this course if you have not taken math in a while. This was my most fast pace course and I would not have stayed caught up if this course wasn't a review for me. He is very knowledgeable and tries to help as much as he can.

I took Dr. Fulkersons' class online, so he had videos over all of the areas he covered. I'm terrible (terrible!) at math and was a little worried, but his videos were great at explaining things and helped me to understand things I never understood in high school. Highly suggest him, and I would gladly take him for higher courses if I needed them.

Dr. F was great, real sweet and you can tell he has a passion for teaching and math. He gave us recommended homework that wasn't required to be turned in, so if you have him I suggest doing at least a handful of problems out of them so you don't fall behind. He gives take-home quizzes, and the only other grades for the class were the tests. 10/10

Dr. Fulkerson is one of my favorite professors to date. He knows what he is talking about, making it easy to understand the subject. He sets clear goals and expectations. I took his Applied Algebra class online. For me, it was easy as long as I completed all the work.

A great math teacher who actually explains what your doing and the why behind it. Cares heavily about the subject and really wants everyone to pass. No required homework but will give out recommended problems for practice you can ask him for help on. Every quiz but one was a take-home quiz, handful of tests that are like the quizze just different #

Dr Fulkerson is an AMAZING prof I took him for trig and he explained things into depth and made class something I enjoyed going to he doesn't get required homework, but it is recommended he gives a good amount of take home quizzes which I loved and they aren't that hard his exams where easy as well he is very helpful and explains things awesome!

I took this course online for applied algebra and it was nice and easy. I never had to ask him questions because his easy to follow youtube videos and mymathlab. I recommend this teacher, especially because in high school math was my least favorite subject but his course is so easy to understand, it might be one of my favorite subjects in college!!

The online course was formatted well and the workload was light. Fulkerson made detailed instructional videos for each topic. Any time I emailed with a question, he responded quickly and kindly. He loves the subject and cares about students. I have already enrolled in another of his online math courses for next semester.

All the assignments were completed through Pearson+ and were pretty easy. There were YouTube playlists for each module recorded by himself. He was able to incorporate discussions so that students could interact online. Super easy!

I wasn't sure about taking this class online, but Fulkerson was a great professor. He provided video lectures for each topic, was very responsive to emails, and allowed a page of notes for the midterm and final exams. Highly recommend.

I didn't do much in this class and my grade reflects that but it had nothing to do with his teaching. He was very understanding, grading is clear, and you get a cheat sheet on proctored exams. He is responsive on emails, he shows you step by step how to do homework, and he doesn't give you a crazy amount of work. I would recommend him to everyone!

There's videos, just take notes and do the weekly assignment and you should be good. He genuinely made it easy to understand math. Loved his class!!

He is always on top of communicating and reaching back out whenever you need help. Material is easily accessible, plenty of resources to help you, and everything is straightforward.
