amazing teacher. i wish all my psych teachers are like him. he is a very funny and quirky guy but if you dont pay attention, youll lose him.....he goes really fast!

I like this teacher. He made math fun and interesting and easy to learn. Yeah he was hyper but it helped with visuals. He goes fast but it's really up to the student to catch up; otherwise you'll be so behind you won't ever catch up. Tests are easy

Gardner is awsome! He's is a little hyper, yes, but he is also very entertaining. The tests are straight from the book. You get to take the test twice, once alone and once with 3 others, because of the group tests I got 100% on every exam!

Cool teacher. Very hyper... looks and acts like a tweaker/cokehead. Go to class, pay attention and you will pass for sure. He'll make you understand everything. Take his class if you need stats.

Hes a very good teacher...for someone such as myself who hates math and had to take it he makes it easy and fun. I love the way he teaches, group work helps and he will go over things if you dont understand. Yes he is hyper but that helps along the way.

not a bad teacher. really hyper. sometimes goes too fast but if u have questions he's happy to go back. gives group tests, but u only get the group score if ur test score is 4-5 points away from the group score. his grading scale is helpful.

AMAZING! i didnt know for a while what i wanted to majore in. after his first class i called my parents and told them the happy news.. . . . . he makes it sooooo interesting that you cant get enough of it! and his exams are in groups!!!

Awesome Professor!!!!!!!! He knows what he's doing and he makes the course fun and funny. Very Energetic!!!!!! You HAVE to Study and read the book to pass the class. Exams are a piece of cake. I recommend him 100% :) For Psych and Stats.

He is a funny teacher that will make you laugh everyday. If you want to pass the class you have to take notes really well and read the book. If you want to get an "A" in the class go to his office hours, and he will go over the book with you that will be on the test.

if you have to take this class Gardner is the teacher to take. he's totally crazy (in a fun way), will keep you interested and focused. he really wants his students to succeed and will help you figure it out as long as your willing to put in the effort. Gardner is a riot- very cool teacher.

For the non-math student needding to fullfill that pesky 2nd yr math requirement, this is your class. Gardner is a gifted communicator in a wildly quirky way. Just make every class and study, and you will do well.

If your first language is not English, then don't take his class, because you won't understand what he talks about. He speaks very fast, just as if he were on drugs, but lets be fair, he is not. He is just that way.

Hes possibly the easiest teach! He gives out the formulas for exams & lets you work in groups w/ the same exam you just took on your own. He goes over EVERYTHING youll be tested on. He'll answer any q.'s asked. Class participation is just raising your hand when he gives you a mult. choice q. FUNNY!!

Awsome teacher! Doesn't get up and just lecture to you, he communicates!! Very hyper, but that's what keeps you interested. If you listen and take notes without reading the book u can get an easy A (i got one and i didn't even have a book).

He is a great teacher. This is not a super easy class, but he teaches a lot of interesting info. The last psychology teacher I had was super boring, but he is the complete opposite.

Gardner was great! Just looking at the faces he makes made me laugh so hard. Good teacher, knows the material inside and out. Completely fair, Tests are easy if you study. He hates when people take notes when he's talking, just listen, he'll keep you interested enough to know the subject without notes.

Gardner is a teacher with a passion for what he knows. He loves his work and it shows by the enthusiasm demonstrated in his teaching. You do need to study and listen closely. He is fair, fun, and informative. I wouldn't take anyone else!

I LOVE MIKE...he has to be the best teacher i have ever had in my life. He is funny and just makes the class so fun and u will never get bored. I got an A in the class and I have a mathphobia. I am going to take him for every psych class he teaches.

Very funny!! He likes to help people. In my opinion, he is very easy in the Stats 1 class, but he is tougher on Psych 1 class :(

He is a very entertaining person and a great teacher. He's very organized and tells you exactly what you're responsible for knowing. Tests are straight forward if you've been to class. I enjoyed the semester.

Thought he was generous and pretty easy. Drops your LOWEST test score. Very funny. I don't recommend him if English isn't your 1st language-talks superfast. If you have 1/2 a brain, you'll get an A. DO the Homework!!

I LOVED HIS CLASS!!! Some ppl says that if English is not your language, don't take it... I do agree with that in some point, but I am a foriegn student and was able to understand what he was saying even though he speaks so hyper! If only you just listen w/o taking notes. His class is very organized and he always there to help us.

Don't take him over the summer if you can help it. His teaching style is awesome for a regular school year when you can soak him up, but over the summer you have to work overtime to absorb what he is saying. It's still a passable class, but painful to get through! He's a terrific teacher, but it's a tough subject for a 5 week class. Go Mike!

GREAT TEACHER. I've never actually looked forward to going to class like this.. He makes you want to learn, hes hilarious and knows how to make you understand all the concepts by relating them to experiances he has had (which are all soo funny). I love him!!

He's a weird but cool teacher. He doesn't drop the lowest test score, he drops the lowest of the first two test. You take two parts of a test. One that's with a scantron and one that's not. The one with the scantron you take by yourself, then you take it with a group and if your group score is within like 4 than you're lucky!

Excellent teacher. He's knows what he's teaching and he has the passion in psychology. It's a great class to take during winter or summer because he's never boring! In fact, he's like a comedian to me. That makes me wanna go back for more. Yes, he talks fast, but you'll get used to it. Pay 100% attention to what he says cause they might be on test!

I took him this summer. It was very fast paced. Don't miss a day. Read the text! I got a C...I think if I took it during a normal session it would have been easier (more time to learn and comprehend the subject). He is a good teacher. He will explain as many times as he needs to. Don't be shy to have him explain. I recommend him.

Good professor. Talks fast like he has ADHD, so may not be a good choice for ESL students. He also teaches at CSUN, so he does know his material. Tests are taken as a group and by yourself, and you get the higher of the two grades. I got a "B" in the Honors section because of my memory, but that was not his fault. A funny guy who I would recommend.

Prof. Garder is very funny and helpful. My goodness, you can't believe how funny he is. He goes to this natural joke to his silly jokes and actings he does in class. One of the BEST teachers. You DO have to read the books. It'll help you go over the discussion N esp with his tricky exams. Recommended! Advice:read his book in advance and read again

Greatest teacher ever! He's so hyper & enthusiastic & he makes it fun to learn Psychology. I barely used the book because I paid avid attention in class everyday. I actually LOOKED FORWARD to class every M/W...take him if you want to learn & have a fun class! (I got an A...easily...never studied...drops lowest test grade...no essays or projects)

Easygoing and giving knowledge if you listen. Tests are easy and class discussion very interesting and helped a lot with the test. Attandance is necessary.

Mike is a great teacher, unlike many boring professors his energy and humor makes you want to listen and pay attention which is obviously helpful when it becomes test time. He has countless examples to explain everything he teachs which too are very helpful. If youre planning on taking psych take Gardner, hes an excellent teacher.

I took Gardner for Psych and loved it so I took him for stat. He doesn't make you memorize ridiculous formulas and he'll explain things over and over if you need clarification. Book use is low but he gives you a survival guide he makes himself that has all formulas and most of the homework. It really helps out. If you need to take stat, take him!

hes real easy and very helpful, just read what he tells u and u'll be fine. warning, he tends to ramble about random things while he lectures and he's hyper

His statistics class is about as easy as they come.. because he's fun, explains things well, and has extra credit opportunities. A little zany, but lovable!

Mike is an amazing teacher. I took him for both Psych 2 (got a B) and Statistics (got an A). In Psych, you must read. He's into concepts not definitions so make sure to go to class. He doesn't collect homework, but do it especially for Statistics. Class is very fun, never was boring, and you'll laugh a lot!! If only all classes were like his!

LOVE Professor Gardner! He is upbeat, fun, intelligent and keeps the class engaged. He is a fast talker, but will make sure the class is following before continuing. He is genuinely interested in your questions. He grades on tests and attendance alone. The tests are all multiple choice. Take good lecture notes! Extra credit for perfect attendance.

Mike Gardner is the best teacher I have ever had at a community college. He is interesting, funny, helpful and knows how to keep you awake. He will not proceed with his lectures until everyone understands. You need to go to class every day, new concepts every day.

I was afraid to take Stats, math is not my forte. I've been out of school for YEARS, but Professor Gardner was AMAZING!! I worked hard in his class, you have to, but he made it worth it. He's passionate about teaching and finds a way to make even Statistics enjoyable. I would take any course this professor is teaching. He's one of the BEST!!

The most layed-back professor I have ever had. He's hilarious! I always looked forward to his class. Tests were multiple choice, based on notes, lectures and reading. Highly recommend getting the textbook and actually reading the chapters. Great professor! I really enjoyed his class, he kept us all laughing.

I liked his class. The class actually taught me how to be a happy person. In order to do well in the test, read ahead before the class,take notes what he writes on the board, and match the notes with the text before the test day. I had summer class, and it was super fun, awesome!

I just love him!!! He?s passionate, charismatic, & FULL OF LIFE! His tests are multiple choice, & can be tricky. (It?s based on understanding the concepts & using critical thinking.) Write down what's on the board, & read that section! There is no final. The final grade is an accumulation of points earned on tests, attendance, & jeopardy. Got an A!

Consider yourself LUCKY if you experience this mans class, nonstop entertainment and will get everyone interested in the subject. I had no desire but learned so much. No midterm or Final, 5 quizzes drops the lowest of first 4. Tests are based on conceptual understanding not memorization and he grades based off statistics dropping pts helps you out

Gardner is the man when it comes to Psychology! Consider yourself lucky if you can add his class on time. He is a true genius and full of energy like the energizer bunny.There are 5 quizzes no final or midterm & drops the lowest score of the first 4 & there are group quizzes to help you. I learned so much and wish he taught other classes here.
