He is an awful teacher. He lets the class out to early. Math is a subject that a person cant learn by themselves
He's a good teacher, he has silly ways that helps you remember the information. He's a sloppy teacher but he's easy and very helpful. His test are also easy. (He lets' class out early everyday)
Explains very well and lets you out almost an hour earlier, but you still have to do a lot of studying on your own outside of the class.
Can't teach. Doesn't care about students.
Work is extremely difficult but he's a very very very generous grader. Doesn't really take attendance.
Overall, not bad.Explains fairly clearly,grades like any other math teacher, if the answer is wrong, than it is wrong.If not the ****ing departmental exam, would have gotten an A-, now a B. If you are sensitive,don't ask him q's in class
He's a nice a guy, who tried to be funny. It dosnt seem like he cares too much since he lets you out about an hour early all the time. The tests arent easy but arent too tough.. If your desperate to fill a math class hes your man
He is a great professor. Class gets out early everyday and small amounts of HW, which the tests are directly derived from. Before class he always asks if anyone has questions. He is very loud, so you stay awake, and humor is silly. Good methods too.
He's the absolute best math professor I've ever had. Although he moves at a fast pace, he makes sure your able to understand the concepts, and he encourages students to ask questions.

He's an OK prof. not much comment about his teaching. Test are ok not so hard not so easy. But one thing is true that he is late all the time and you get to leave like an hr early so if you prefer short class, take him.
When a professor lets you an hour early and than gives you tests which take the full 1:40 nothing good can be said about this guy. He is a very nice guy though. there are 5 questions on the tests so you better know your stuff well!
I had this guy for Pre-Cal and Calculus, and boy what a difference. While he's a nice guy, he seems to enjoy making his tests extra hard. About half the students in my calc class dropped or failed.

Absolutely the best. Clear, consistent, helpful, very knowledged on the subject. Great humor, easy tests, no graded homework.
He sucks. Math is not my best subject but he was by far the worst professor ever. He doesnt care to make sure everyone in the class is upto date. Horrible he was a waste of $$ I had to drop his class - DO NOT TAKE HIM
This guy was great. He's very clear and always willing to answer questions. Someone once missed a test and he let him take it over again. Very nice guy..as long as you take good notes and study well, his class is great.
Great Professor. Clear, funny, and nice to talk to. He talks loudly so that you don't fall asleep, very helpful in my case.
he is smart, helpful, yes he is late and leaves early but he teaches in 30 minutes everything you need to know..just do hw and study for his hard tests. i am taking him in the fall for calc. he does care about your success but you have to apply yourself.
No attendance, 1 hour classes, Tests are hard but if you are willing to do hw and review problems and go into the tests knowing you will do well and don't like staying in class he's great.

Good teacher if you're willing to work. He usually ends class half an hour early. If you ask him for help he'll assist you. I got an A-. You MUST do you're homework inorder to pass the test and class.

HE'S NOT THAT BAD...YOU JUST NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL, AND VISIT THE SACC OFTEN...COMPARED TO FRED BUCKLEY AND PROFESSORS LIKE HIM, GARTENBERG IS AN MUCH MUCH BETTER..

If you suck in math don't take him. If you have a good understanding of math and you're smart enough to do the homework he assigns then you'll be just fine.
2206 is probably the hardest class in the school, so if you've already failed and have to retake, take him. He makes it more clear the second time around, but if this is your first attempt at the class, take someone else. You really need someone who'll go over everything carefully. He goes fast.
He is very hard. If you are not that good in math then do not take his class cuz you will get nothing more than a fat F***.
His tests are nothing like the samples he gives in class or the howework questions. His tests are much harder! You better know your stuff before taking a test, or else you won't do well. He is really not that reliable after class and doesn't help that much.
I use to love math before I took his class. Anyone who didnt take math for a while, dont take his class. He does no review, and yells at you and makes you feel stupid when you ask a question. Just do his homework and ask a lot of questions!!!..teach urself!

His class is like a machine - what you put into it, is what you get out. 3 hard tests, and a dept. multiple choice final. He's not helpful, confusing, BUT better than Buckley for sure. Your solution? Lots of SACC tutoring and do all the problems in the book. Don't rely on miracles in his class.
he is a bad professor. never answers emails or phone calls, doesnt teach, and gives out lower than deserved grades.
Take this guy only if you intend on studying a lot outside of class. Always leaves class 30 minutes early and does not do enough sample problems during class. Likes to make fun of students that ask questions.
Nothing you do can help you earn a good grade with him, He told us not to use calculators all semester but on the final we had to, and the entire class was lost, very unhelpful, talks down to students, and doesnt seem to care, Guaranteed to lower your GPA
by far the worst professor i've ever had. he failed me and lowered my whole damn gpa bc he only gives 3 exams and wouldn't let me retake the final, which i couldn't take because i was in the emergency room. never replies emails, can't teach, yells at students, always late to class and leaves early.
This guy was absolutely dreadful....he ruined my GPA...he is kinda nice but doesn't seemt to care about his students. Will yell at you if you ask a question....and you need to go to SACC....its the only reason i survived this course.
Math is not my subject and he doesn't make it any easier. It's an intense course because he goes so fast. His review sessions are a joke. Even hours at SACC did not help me. He let classes go early because he goes so fast during lessons.
DO NOT TAKE THIS MAN HE IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO BORING. HE IS NEVER CLEAR HE COMES IN HALF AN HOUR LATE AND LETS YOU OUT HALF AN HOUR EARLY. HIS TESTS LOOK LIKE THEY WERE WRITTEN BY A 5 YEAR OLD. AVOID IF POSSIBLE!!!!!!!

yes hes hard, yes hes an ass, but if you really pay attention, i mean really really pay attention and don't let yourself wander for a minute, you'll do well. he writes his own tests so the ans are weird, but if you do all hw, its no problem. be careful when asking questions- he blows up on ppl. he will ridicule you. but lets you out early

This class could be hard if you never took Calculus before! Hard to understand the professor's explanations if you are not familiar with the material!
this class is meant for those who want to learn something. take him if u seriously want to learn math.
It is odvious that this teacher is very hard and does make fun of his students. But he does this for a reason! The reason is he wants his students to learn. Ive gotten made fun of millions of times, but I learned from my mistakes. He is definitly one of the best and most challenging professors i have ever taken and i got an A in the course.

Really hard! He actually called someone stupid in class and told them to drop the course cuz they werent gunna pass! Total JERK and a HALF. Didnt answer a question until we all told him he was teaching wrong. Dont take him if you want to pass math with a half decent grade. Wanted to run away after a few minutes of this HARD-to-UNDERSTAND person.

He is a nice person and if you ask he will take time for you after class. But his explanation is not easy - basically you have to study all by yourself or you have to know material before hand. if you want to have a professor who explain everything for you, he is NOT the one. you can ask him to choose multiple choice test or not.

He is a really nice guy. He was a pretty good professor, and I did learn the material from him. But his tests were ridiculously hard. He somewhat prepared me for the final. I got a B- in the class. I used to be an A student in math, but college math is hard no matter what teacher you have.
if you study and go to a tutor he is okay. other then that i think he moved pretty fast but you can ask questions and he stops

he came to class w/ a textbook thats it. exams he wrote out and were barely legible. obviously doesn't put much effort into teaching, the class wasn't on blackboard.He goes to fast and intimidates students from asking questions. assumes you know everything just because he does but if we were teaching for 40 years it be easy to. Don't take him.

at first he was intimidating but after a while you get used to him and his teaching methods. he does go fast but he's good. you need to do your hw to follow along though.
If you want to truly learn Mathematics take him. His exams are very tricky and require deep thought. This is far from an Easy A. He doesnt curve. To earn your grade you will have to work hard. The satisfaction of getting a good grade from a demanding teacher feels great at the end. Take him if you want to be challenged!

hes tough, but if you do the homework and ask him for help, you'll do fine. he's intimidating because he wants you to do well. pay attention and do the work and he's a great teacher. don't and he'll probably tell u to drop the class

Prof's a nice man but can't teach for his life. His grades are solely based on his 3 tests. I taught myself the material & got an A. His tests aren't that hard if you know the material but if you're looking to be taught, he isn't the man to do it. Class Attendance isn't required but if you do go he'll start late and end 1/2 an hr early.
i thought this class was pretty hard & i love calculus. attendance is never taken but you need to go to class AND do the homeworks to do well. tests are really difficult if you dont study and most of your studying will be from the homework. he goes kind of fast but he'll stop if you need help. most of the lectures end early [at least 20 min]
This professor is truly awful. He comes to every class 15 mins late, and races through the material. When you ask a question he yells and insults you and then says he has too much to cover and there isnt enough time to explain. Then he ends class 30 mins early (not enough time?) He does not write legibly on the board and makes mistakes often.
This Professor is not the best, I will be honest. I do not recommend him, especially if Math is your weak subject. I was very good at math before I went to his class and when I went to his class it was a disaster. I went to EVERY class AND tutoring and did not do very well on the tests. He races through the material. Do NOT do it. = )

He is not that bad. He explains clearly the sequence for solving each problem. Just remember the scheme how to do it. You don't need to understand cal to do good. Do the homework and PRACTICE FINAL samples, he didn't cover some of them in class. Got "A" by doing all the homework prior each test. Didn't have troubles with his class.

This is by far the worst professor in Baruch College. He can't teach for life. Guys stay away from this person as possible. He goes way to fast through the material and yells at people if they ask questions. NO NO NO stay away from him.
I like the way he attracts students' attention - blunt but earnest. His explanation gives insight to understanding a difficult concept, but applying it to actual problems (lots of hw) is your job. I wish I took him in regular semester, not summer course for the sake of time.
dont say I didnt warn you... STAY AWAY from this professor. The WORST professor in Baruch. He comes in 15 mins late and then rushes through the material to end class 30-45 mins early. Be prepared to learn everything yourself unless you know everything about calculus. Insults you for asking a question. Exams are barely legible and extremely HARD.
I have to say he is a smart guy.He teaches culculus in a brilliant way sometimes. but u may get sleepy in the class. Attendence is not nesssary. Tests are pretty easy even I didn't do the hw a lot. Asians can take it with a easy A!
If you want a Professor who is organized and comes to class prepared, don't take him. His handwriting and his tests are illegible. If you ask him questions, he won't answer you because he claims he explained it crystal clear. Save yourself.
His xams r very easy, if you just try to stay awake in class, all the problems he does in class r almost the same in xams(with few changes in numbers), with strong background in math, u dont even hav to go his class, just go to the xam date...he also gives u take home tests

He is not helpfull at all. He does not attend class at the final lectures for review. If you are one of those people who need review time in class before exams never take him. He is extremely old, grouchy and can not teach at all.
I had to take this awful 2207 class a few times. I finally passed the course the third time with him. His exams are the easiest, but, read the book from cover to cover, take notes, go to every class, SACC if you need it. Luckily we had a take home exam before the final which everyone got a tutor for and an A on the last exam going into the final.
