Dr. Goodstone is the best professor..i've never taken a psych course before and he makes me want to take more, but only if he's the teacher :-)

Great class because of a great prof!

Goodstone is the man! His tests are a little hard but he lets you know that ahead of time so just be prepared to do the work-class was awesome, he's just a great guy~see you in the spring!!!

Goodstone is cool, funny sometimes and the class is really interesting because he makes it interesting. He tells some good stories and worth paying attention to. You'll do well in the class if you show up and listen.

i really enjoyed this class. he tries to involve the class so you dont fall asleep. his tests are rough and you definitely have to study alot but there is never any hw. he gives you the option of writing a paper for extra credit. fun guy def opened up my mind to the subject!

I thought he was great. Good personality, and he is fair. I reccomend him to anyone. Looks like Chris Kattan too much, its almost scary.. AHHH

Dr. Goodstone is amazing. He makes class fun and is always very helpful if you run into a crazy situation. I would recommend this class to everybody. I had him for Psych 101 too and he made me want to take more Psych classes. You won't be dissapointed...

had Dr. G for org. behavior. Very intersting ONLY because he teaches it! Awesome and GENUINE person. Very helpful, not an easy A, but u will learn! love U Dr. G cute and nice to look at...

I took intro to psych with Goodstone and also abnormal. He is an awesome professor and I would recomend him to anyone who wants to really learn something in class. His tests are not that easy so u really have to study but he is a really fair professor.

He is so into what he does that he makes you inetersted. He wins awards and gets good feedback for a reason. He is one of/ if not the most sought after professor at the school. He really thinks about his teaching technique and is very conscientous about the class understanding of the subject matter. His tests for the more advanced courses are not easy, you NEED to really prepare. But it's about time someone set some damn standards at this institution. We are here to learn not to get an A... sorry im ranting

HE IS THE BEST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD!.... its one of those classes that you really dont mind attending, and actually look foward going to. Hes a bit on the hyper side which makes him entertaining to watch bounce around the room. Hes tests are fair, you know exactly what hes going to put on it if you are in class prior. If only he taught math, my life would be easier........

very funny dude, he knows his psychology too, hes able to take very hard concepts and make them clear by using real life situations

Org. Behavior psych. Learned alot. He talks & has the class engage in conversation. Writes alot. All intersting. Honestly not one day did I grudge going to class. Eager to teach and does it well. FOr the gals, he's nice to look at. Gives a paper and few tests, study and ask q's, you'll do fine!!

very fun easy class. i didnt buy the text and i did fine. take good notes and study them. there are three tests, semi difficult but if you know the material its ok. the test is from the notes but he words things so you have to think. one paper, really easy just application of a theory you learn...gives you the whole semester. GREAT TEACHER!

I love me some GOODSTONE!! I had him for Abnormal Psychology a few semesters back and he is great. You have to take good notes and really study the text. He creates straight foward tests and includes only info he has spoken about. He is awesome and I would recommend him to any student. He also seems like a really down to earth guy who you could see

Professor goodstone is the man. He is a great professor and really teaches. It is not an easy class but you will get so much out of it. Work hard and he will reward you.

One of the best teachers I've had. You do have to study and use the text a little but he lets you know what you need to read up on and what comes from notes. Makes everything really clear. Tests are a bit hard but if you study you'll do fine.

This is the best teacher I've had in college so far. His classes will always learn something and he presents information in a nice, clear way. You can tell he loves what he does and I can't really say that about many professors. My only complaint is that he keeps the classes to the LAST min almost everytime.

Great prof! You can tell that he has lots of experience in his field so it's not just out of the book. Tests are hard but fair. Pay attention in class and take notes! Something kind of hot about him too!

I was interested in psychology but never as a career choice until I had dr.goodstone as a prof. His lectures seemed more like story time from the looney bin and he was such a great teacher for me that I'm now going to be majoring in Psych at Stonybrook next semester... he's AMAZING!!!..and oddly cute ;]

This was the best professor I had at Farmingdale during the five semesters I was there. Amazing guy and great teacher, highly recommended. Uses interesting stories and lots of jokes to make the class enjoyable.

AMAZING PROF! I never enjoyed Psych this much before. His humor and teaching methods actually makes me want to get up and go to class! Textbook is necessary for your own reading to catch up on class discussion but no homework. Extra Credit Paper. Tests are hard though. So study! and I agree, there's this very charming quality to him. very cute ;]

BEST professor i've had at farmingdale. I'm not a big psychology person & the material is hard but he makes it extremely easy to understand & makes sure we understand it.Tells you you can text if you need to, but he makes u rly want to pay attention anyway!Def never thought i'd love a teacher this much.Keeps you til the end but you don't wan2leave!

He is a great!! teacher one of the greatest i've had actually, funny, interesting and very helpful. Heads up when and if you take his class remember the guys is a Psychologist so his test are not a bed of roses but if you study, read the book like he says and pay attention, you can't go wrong.I might even take on Psychology because of him.

He is by far the best professor I have ever had in college! He is hillarious, he knows what he is teaching, he is funny, and you don't want the class to be over when you get there. study for his tests, but they are not terrible, i strongly suggest this class, you wont want to sleep during it!

by the the BEST prof at farmingdale. he makes you want to go to class e ..so funny andgives you real life examples from when he use to treat people. you will learn so much. do the extra credit he offers bc his exams can be tricky if u didnt take really good notes

Like every one else says, by far THE best prof at Farmingdale. He's funny and makes learning fun. Great sense of humor and makes jokes all the time and uses some of his real life experience to relate the material. Definatly the teacher u wanna take for PSY 101 and PSY 231

I have to agree with allll the other comments about Prof. Goodstone i would highly recomend him hes just really funny, i actually had to put my head down so no one would see me laughing in class as hard as i was.. thats never happend at any other class at Farmingdale. if you have the opportunity 100% take his class

By far one of the greatest professors I have ever had. Took a summer course with him. He's funny, helpful and interesting. He is a fair grader and does everything possible to make you understand the material. Attendance is not mandatory, but most test questions come from the notes. Truly a pleasure to be a student of his.

This professor is truly talented and loves his work as well as his students. I wish I could take another course with him. Prof Goodstone will do what he can to help you as long as you try. You must skim the text and going to class is vital to get an A.He is a great mentor take him and you will not be disappointed.

He is probably one of the best professors at Farmingdale. You always learn so much no matter what class of his you take, yet learning from him is an enjoyable experience. I never once dreaded going to his classes. He uses humor to teach his students and to keep them interested. If he is taking a class I need, I will definitely sign up with him.

An excellent professor- the first real professor I had in Farmingdale. Has ALOOTTTTT of industry experience and relates to it in class via terminology. His jokes are funny esp about his age. Great person and loves his job! I recommend everyone take him because what you learn in class will stay with you forever

A great professor, he has an intense background in his field and that's what makes him great as an educator. We had a group project all semester in which required a lot of work, but it was all worth it because it prepares you for the real world.

One of the best classes I have taken. Dr. Goodstone genuinely wants all of his students to do well. I did not do very well on the first two exams and we met twice to discuss studying methods and he genuinely wanted to help. Easily one of the top professors on campus.

Professor Goodstone is a good professor to have! Be prepared to take a LOT of notes in his class. His tests are based more on the lectures than the textbook (which I barely read). Please laugh at his corny jokes or he'll make the rest of your time in class boring and miserable. He's desperate for even a little chuckle.

Professor Goodstone really does care about his students. The only complaint I had was that he felt overly nitpicky at times, leaving my group questioning as to what feedback is more important to follow. Overall though, I learned more from this course than some of my entire previous semesters.

This course is no joke, whatever you do, take the assignments seriously! Especially the exams, for this course there is only four exams, section assignments, and participation is used for grading purposes. Again, whatever you do, study... study.. study!!! The exams are difficult, but fair, little to no curve balls. Stay on top of things and study!

Please take Dr Goodstone you will not regret it!! He is so inspiring, I truly enjoyed his class and even looked forward to it. 4 tests, section assignments which are easy and he will bump your grade up one increment if you participate enough. Dr. Goodstone is caring, funny&kind. If you come to class, actively take notes, do the 4 assignments, and study for the tests, you can expect to do well! He tries to help you understand the material and is available outside of the classroom. 4 assignments for the sem.& 4 tests. Study and you're golden! If you participate, he will bump up 1/2 grade.

This class was better than what I expected, I thought it was going to be extremely hard but it was not. tests are very fair if you take good notes and pay attention and study. some questions on the test are from the textbook, but I didn't get the textbook and many people in my class didn't either and it was fine. section assignments are super easy

I love this man he is so funny, I actually want to go to class! He makes me actually want to learn and do well. I feel like if I don't do well he would genuinely be personally effected, like I feel as if he cares for us that much and it motivates me, maybe this is a organizational psych technique he uses to make us do well, regardless he is amazing

He's so nice, really cares about your grade. Attend every class, pay attention and take notes he does not post lectures online. Only four exams and four section assignments worth 25 points each (very easy grades though). As long as you pay attention and study you'll be fine. Ask him for help, he"s really chill.

Get ready to laugh, his stories he tells in class actually relate to the criteria that we are learning. He is a respectful man and easy to talk to. Respect his class and he will respect you.

This class is tough but extremely fair. You need to show up and take notes, he does not have online notes/presentations. He is extremely easy to listen to and the class doesnt feel overwhelming. 4 exams and 4 assignments (5 minutes each). This is not an easy A, but its a great class and i think he will raise you one letter grade if you participate.

Goodstone is extremely knowledgeable about the subject. His lectures dont include any powerpoints, its just him speaking so be sure to take good notes. The tests are straight from what he talks about in class so as long as you take good notes and study you will do good. 100% would take again, he gives such good feedback and is hilarious.

Great professor, very passionate! He gives great lectures with a lot of detail, no lecture slides but he writes down almost everything he says. Says textbook is needed…it's not, just show up, pay attention and study. Please laugh at his jokes.

Michael Goodstone is an exceptional professor, and his passion for I/O psychology shows in his lectures. None of the exams were cumulative, and the section assignments were simple. Taking notes, and listening to discussions will guarantee good grades. Textbook readings helped too. I'd highly recommend you take him. He's a great professor!
