The class was easy. The teacher is not helpful and doesn't respond qickly to emails and mostly of the time, not at all.

He was always late to class. He took a long time to return tests. We never got our quizzes back. Did not cover 1& 1/2 chapters of the book. Overall, he is very unprofessional and not an effective teacher.

Took him for summer II, overall class average was a 63. Does that sound like a good teacher? He grades very unfairly and doesn't curve when it is clearly needed. Take this class if you want your hard work to go unrewarded.

No calendar, No syllabus, No communication, No notes, NO RESPONSE TO EMAIL OR PHONE CALLS!!!!! I would run far away from this professor I am one week from a final exam and have taken only one test out of three he has failed to post the others. Fumbling in the dark with this class and praying for the best. Uses webassign and it is HORRIBLE.

Possibly the worst teacher I have ever had. Only does examples on the board to teach, and stands in front of the example whileR he is explaining the problem. I had to learn everything on my own. He shows up late for class everyday. He does not engage or even look at at the class.

From not posting the syllabus until a couple weeks after the start of class, not responding to emails, and not giving clear instructions on dates of exams, I regret signing up for his class. Not once did he respond to my emails, even after emailing him several (more than 10) times . DO NOT TAKE

I took precalculus with him. The homework was a lot. I got a 69% total for the class and I begged for a curve to make it a C, but he refused. I have to retake the class. Am so sad

I have never had an online teacher like this before. Does not answer emails, late posting material, no study guides, and no formula sheets for tests. I am a straight A student and this class wasn't hard, but because of the lack of communication and lack of materials, I did not succeed. I taught myself everything in this class in order to pass.

He gave a lot homework on Pearson. However, he does change the due dates on them(so that's good). There was two or three times where he just did not show up for class. Almost half the class dropped the course around midterm, including me. He has a very timid voice that only the people on the first row can hear. I hate math, now i hate it even more.

I should have seen the mixed reviews and run for the hills!! This instructor was completely useless. Often late to class and sometimes wouldn't show up period-- without notice. Teaching methods were ineffective and unproductive. I received more assistance from Khan Academy than this teacher. Terrible math professor!! BEWARE! DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!

Professor Granado went MIA for the 8 weeks I took College Algebra with him online. I have emailed him many times and he does not answer to any! If the online program glitches, you're on your own (and it does glitch a lot!). Be ready to teach yourself everything and randomly show up to HCC to take his exams - he doesn't even let you use calculators!

DO NOT take this class with this professor. In person: teacher is soft spoken, mumbles, and is overall unenthusiastic in his lecture. Sign in is at the end of the class so if you have to leave early you are out of luck. All the work is online, so most of the class time should be devoted to doing the hw while he mutters to himself.

Took condensed course, structure is ridiculous on amount of hw and due dates. Prof. demonstrates poor response time, actually >70% of communication he never responds to. Would not recommend this prof. to anyone... Truly not impressed.

DO NOT TAKE ONLINE, communication was scarce, had to try to teach myself the material as he didn't reply to the ask my professor section of the homework. It was as if there was no professor most of the time, all individual effort.

Instructions are unclear. Lectures are monotone and hard to hear; even when sitting up front. You're better off either doing homework or catching up on other classes. The sign up sheet is passed out at the end of class, so don't leave early. Little to no feedback given, but does allow notes on some tests (final included)

Dr. Granado is very hard to hear during his lecures because he mumbles. He hasn't posted a study guide for the final exam which is tomorrow, and he never reponds to emails. He never sent out a test correction form he promised us. You will not learn from him, you have to teach yourself. Don't take him unless you can teach yourself math.

Final class for my bachelor and easily the worst professor I've had. Professor does not answer emails/calls. Everything is done through Pearson. If you're taking this class, expect no communication/help. Due dates and exam dates are not given in advance and most of class was clueless. Not the hardest class, but made very difficult by professor.

I am taking him for Calculus III online and he is terrible. I am basically teaching myself the course without any communication from the professor. Other students and myself are constantly emailing him asking for information and he never responds. We have had to call the head of the math department. Posted an Exam the day before it was due Horrible

Awful lectures. Should have seen the reviews and not even bothered. I was always so lost in class, just suffered through the entire course, never ever again.

If you need Calculus 1, find a different professor. From the very beginning, this class has been made harder by the teacher. He did not have the syllabus ready until the 4th week of class. He doesn't respond to emails. He shows up late to class. He sounds unenthusiastic and monotone in every lecture. He posted our first exam late. Never again.

The content of the class was easy. Everything else was horrible. I wish I had more space to write all my grievances. -never responds to emails -posted the syllabus late&didn't follow it -posted assignments late or not at all -posted the final exam (randomly, midday) and was only open during a window in which I was at work. Did not extend window.

Absolutely the worst math teacher I've ever had. He literally does not teach you anything. He refuses to go through any instructional material and will spend the entire class working practice problems to himself with absolutely no explanation and even skips steps in the problems as he does them in his head! Prepare to teach yourself from textbook.

Never answer emails from students. Tests are heavy and very difficult. Also a lot of homeworks.

Cons: Long winded and explanations. Not accessible by email or phone. Doesn't engage the class in lectures, just drones the whole time to himself. Posts assignments, announcements, exams < 24 hrs before deadline. Pros: Willing to change due dates. Accepts questions, but will take 20 min to answer 1. Textbook is great, will become your BFF.

If hes the only choice for your math class SKIP IT. Its not worth it. He doesnt know how to teach. Doesnt post the exam until 2 minutes before, and dont even try to contact him outside of class youll get ZERO responses. Save yourself and run away from this professor. Class contents was easy but thats bcs I needed to teach myself.

There is no point in even going to class. His teaching style is quite frankly awful. He does not introduce the topic and is monotone so usually you won't actually know what is happening unless you have previewed the textbook. Exams are incredibly easy, and the homeworks are standard. Absolutely no contact outside of class, but he'll move deadlines.

ignores messages, is so hard to reach out of class. basically just solves problems on his own without explaining anything but gets upset when the class can't answer anything. homework is online that he never mentions and 3 tests, that's it. if you have a strong understanding of algebra prior then you might pass otherwise, you're on your own.

Exams look mostly like the review, but you do not get to see the review soon enough. I do not understand the class tho. I wish he was interactive with the students. Math is a foreign language it helps to have a friendly compassionate environment.

Review is 100 questions and it does not look like the exam, and he posts the 100 question Review 2 days before the exam. No help in or outside of class. He is unreachable.

Worst professor I have ever taken a class with at HCC. He does not know how to teach, and I often wonder how he even landed this job. In his lectures, he drones on and on without ever explaining as to why he does anything. Be prepared to teach yourself. He is also weirdly strict about which calculator models you can use during tests.
