This class is difficult and the professor is useless. There are 10+ lectures for every chapter that consist of him rambling and going off on tangents. He complicates everything and makes it harder than it is. Homework takes forever and half of it is irrelevant. Tests are hard because its impossible to prepare. Reading the book wont help.

I took Hammond in a block, which meant even harder work. He does not give out grades, you have to really work for it. Anytime I emailed him he answered right away and was always willing to explain something or to come in during office hours. I hope to take him again, he's very knowledgeable in this area.

Horrible class to take online!! I took it as a summer class and you have an average of 5-10 assignments due every week. The homework isnt hard as long as you stay on top of it, but the tests are terrible. The study guide is so broad youre better off to make your own outline & notes to study, because his guide will earn you an F on the test.

Took online class. Although he is specific about what to expect from the class, he is WAY too specific. I felt like I was learning HOW to take ACC 211 rather than actually learning ACC 211. Tough class with difficult material. If you have trouble with ACC, don't take it online. Take it seated in class AND with a different prof, will do you better!

Took this online over the summer the class went really fast. Focused on 2 chapters per week and 4 chapters per test. You have to read the material because the slides are not enough for the concept. He was very responsive to my emails, but the tests were hard. A lot of homework but that was pretty easy. Grade is heavily weighted on tests.

RUN!!The amount of reading and notes he expects you to do is unreal, Id spend DAYS a week in this class alone going over slides/book material. Test are comprehensive, with no formula sheet, which makes them very difficult because he makes tests math HEAVY. He is unwilling to provide tips and help for studying and tells you to try harder if u ask.

This was only one of the worst classes Ive ever taken. I learned absolutely nothing from this class. I read all the material, watched all presentations, and studied everything. I still did horrible on every test. If you care about your grades and actually learning the material, do not take this class with him. Choose a different professor.

Might be the worst class I have had to deal with thus far. Easily 5-10 homework assignments each week, and most take at least an hour. If you have the option to take it online, don't.

Enjoyed taking his class. Tons of extra bonus points. However, the tests are very challenging. Takes forever to grade your assignments and exams. For example, online exam results are not posted for several days. Very STRICT rules for the online webcam exam. With that being said, this class should not be your first option.

This guy is terrible. He has dumb requirements for his class (eg: can't use a calculator with memory, which is pretty hard to find now a days. I ended up buying the one he recommended for 50 bucks and will never use it again) He uses respondus and will fail you if someone else makes a noise in the background. All around terrible teacher and person.

The professor himself is fine. However, Online you will be expected to turn in hmwrk for the next unit before you finish out the current one. It's just too much to focus on. Criteria for Respondus is bit extreme in that I believe he does review it. People are just butt hurt they can't cheat easily. Materials hard but what else did you expect?

Not a fan of this professor as he's not friendly/helpful. Wants to you watch lectures & read chs. Lectures are long. Threatens academic sanctions for various things. Won't respond to emails if you need help. This class is all math word problems essentially. Very strict rules on calcs/lockdown browser. Be prepared to memorize tons of equations.

Probably one of the worst professors I've had at Mo State. He is overall just not very good at teaching the material but he has also been incredibly rude when I reach out to him about anything in my gradebook that is messed up because I obviously want to know if I am failing or passing. Just avoid him if possible.

I hope you can take a 50 question acc exam in under 50 minutes. The exams are harder than the homework, and to understand the homework you have to watch step by step cengage videos. Overall it's a hard class unless you want to spend all your time studying and reading the textbook.

This class took more time out of my day than my 400 level Econ class. He makes a 200 level class feel like a 700 level grad school class. STAY AWAY!***

Dr Hammond is proof of what is wrong with academia today! The guy has zero real world knowledge and has a chip on his shoulder to show for it. His online lectures are not helpful at all, as he just goes off on tangents. The book will be of little to no value helping you prepare for exams. I filled out every study guide and barely got a D.

Worst professor I have ever had at MSU! The lectures did not teach me anything about the class and were really a waste of time. He would require you to do extra assignments on a chapter before the previous chapter's homework is due. His blackboard is extremely unorganized and very confusing. Clearly longs for the good old days where professors could rule with an iron fist and control their students every in-class move. His teaching style is not conducive to an online class, and tests are borderline absurd in their difficulty. It's like he actively wants his students to fail in order to prove what a tough guy he is. Avoid his classes!!

If you are looking to take ACC211 at Missouri State Univerity do not take it with professor Hammond. We met in the classroom only 7 times out of 16 weeks in which each week we were scheduled to meet twice. Majority of your grade will come from tests in which you will NEVER have enough time to finish the test without guessing on multiple questions

Professor Hammond's lectures were so incredibly unhelpful that I gave up on going to them. I came out of each class more confused than I entered and everything that I did learn was self-taught. His tests are not at all like the practice sets that he gives, he's always skipping paragraphs/sections in the class notes with no explanation.
