Great Professor.
This is the best teacher that i have ever had! He is very helpful and his lectures are very clear!!
He was the nicest teacher that i have ever had. It is a tough class, but he makes it fun.
Prof H is one of the coolest teachers ever. He presents the materialy clearly and completely, I enjoyed him so much for Gen Chem1, I rearranged my whole schedule to take his Gen Chem2, and if I would have stayed at STLCC, I would have taken his Organic
I absolutely hated chemistry before taking Hauser's class. He make sure that everyone knows exactly what he's teaching. Great teacher, would recommend him to any and everybody taking chem.
Great Professor. Would reccomend him to others. Would take another chem. course from him.
I had high school chem but I came out hating it. With Prof. Hauser, that additude changed. He made it fun but also taught in a way that we understood. I would take his course again and recommend him. He is one of the better chem Professors.
take really good notes all the tests come from the notes
Professor Hauser is a fantastic chem teacher!!!!He is hilarious and he is able to explain chemistry in a really simple manner. He does a lot of demonstrations in class and brings chemistry down to a very understandable level. His class is a blast.
LOVED Hauser! I have total math anxiety and hate chemistry. He was great, I got a B and really enjoyed the class
Professor Hauser is a great Chemistry teacher. He explains complicated concepts in simple terms. He's also hilarious and corny.
Mr. Hauser is awesome...makes learning fun!!
This was probably the best teacher I have had in college. He kept us laughing the entire class period. He was actually more like a performer than a teacher with jokes and fun analogies, though he still taught lessons perfectly.
Hauser is awesome!!
great teacher , really knows his stuff. really makes chemistry fun!! take him!
This guy is just great. One of my favorite teachers of all time. He was the first prof I ever had when I took his class the summer after graduation and I should say that he brought my expectations for college teachers up alot higher than they should have been
Prof Hauser is the perfect example of what a teacher (at any level) should strive to become. Clearly loves chemistry and really wants his students to succeed. I can't possibly say enough to do him justice in under 350 characters. Hands down the best teacher I have ever had!
really helpful and fun enjoyed every part of his lab best chem teacher at meremac
Prof. Hauser definitly one of the best teacher's I ever had. Really knows how to teach as opposed to some prof's that know the material really well but have absolutly no idea how to be a good teacher
Hauser is engaging, funny, and interesting; an excellent professor. He is extremely helpful and explains everything in easy-to-understand terms. Does not focus on math like some professors. Throws no curveballs-tests are perfectly reflective of material. I highly recommend Prof Hauser!
I thought I wuld like this class but after listening to the bs comments below, it was all a lie. Did not approve of the grading scale in his class. Students who try to pass with a 70 (usually a C are treated with a D). Not neogatible. He's not the only decent chem instructor there... there are others!
One of the best teachers. He never refuses a student. It is impossible for every student to get what he wants. So, if you didn't get what you wanted from Prof. Hauser's class, I am confident to say that you could not get what you want either from another professor. I highly recommend Prof. H. Also, make every efforts to take his Organic Chemistry I
Awesome teacher, made the class fun.
Can a teacher be too nice? NO. Can they be too easy? YES. He's a really nice teacher which makes class fun, but probably too easy for an important class like Organic Chemistry.
One of the best Organic Chemistry professors in the United Stated! Very knowledgeable on organic chemistry; very dedicated to teaching and students; very organized in the classroom and materials presented. Placed difficult Organic stuffs into my brain in a very clear and effective way.
Excellent teacher. Made Organic Chemistry fun!! Very fair and consistent grading on tests and assignments. Crystal clear on what was expected, and what would be on exams.
I really hope he is getting paid enough, which I doubt, because Professor Hauser is amazing. By far he has been my favorite professor. He makes the subject very clear. Attendance isn't mandatory, but to get a good grade you have to know the material he presents. I hope he teaches Organic soon, so I can take him again!!
His class is fun-you don't need to read the textbook. Just take notes and you'll be fine by studying his notes. Easy exams. He makes chemistry a lot of fun!
hilarious. makes a hard class into a entertaining class. only class i don't dread going to.
Best Chemistry teacher I've had at STLCC.
Very excited about the subject and is able to project his love of chemistry onto the students. Class was a joy to go and I would highly recommend him as the best chemistry professor at the college.
All around one of the best teachers I have every had
Really good Professor. Kept things as uncomplicated as possible for Organic Chem. Taught to different learning styles. Highly recommend Professor but recommend reading text and study.
Loved this guy! He's an adorable dork and was really funny and personable with all of us students. Very approachable and made time to help whenever we needed him. I hate chem but truly enjoyed this class and made a B.
Excellent teacher. Attend class and you should have little problem with his class. Do the recommended problems as study as they are very similar to what he puts on the tests. The tests come straight out of his lecture. There are no surprises.
Great teacher! I learned more from him in one summer semester than I did in high school chemistry. I wish I could take Chemistry II with him.
Prof. Hauser made Chem really easy to understand. I'd had a tough time in high school, but he made it really enjoyable. I never thought I'd like Chem, but I was wrong! What an amazing professor. You do have to put the work in, but he keeps you laughing and is always willing to help. Highly recommend taking his class.
He is the best chem. teacher ever. He is very easy. All you need to do is take notes and do HW before each problem session. You dont even need the book, he as everything in his black board, dont waste your money!
Best teacher Ive ever had. I wish every teacher would teach the way he does. Thank you Professor Hauser!
Best teacher ever!!! He makes the class so interesting, it feels like we're only in there for 5 min! I wish Professor Hauser were teaching chem 2! Definately study, but it's not such a hard class.
Professor Hauser is the most devoted, patient professors ever! He makes the class so much fun with all his experiments, it seems like you're in there for 5 minutes! I wish he taught chem 2:(
Loved Prof. H! The corny jokes he made certainly helped me remember things I normally would not. Do the homework! It will be highly beneficial when it comes time to tests. Also, attend problem sessions! Those 5 points add up! Miss him now that I am in Chem 2!
Here comes the real Chem teacher!!!
I have to say that I took Chem I at UMSL and had to drop it 3 weeks before the end of the class. I was dreading taking it again. I heard about Prof. Hauser through someone else and I heard all great reviews. Which were all 100% true. He is the best teacher I have ever had. His class is not easy but he makes it learnable. He is all about experiments
I wish I could take another class from him, but I only needed introductory Chem. He posted chapter notes, which were very helpful when studying for tests and quizzes (I took his class over the summer so I'm not sure if he does this in the regular term or not). I would HIGHLY recommend him. Very helpful and enthusiastic.
Best teacher ever
is very passionite about his job, very knowledgeable in chemistry, funny and really tries to teach, always has a small joke, will go above and beyond to help you with any questions you have
The best teacher I have ever had. We would all be experts if all teachers were this caliber. Passionate and Helpful.
Took the hybrid Chem 101 class. Only met up every other week, so most of it was teach yourself. Hauser was awesome though and very helpful. Answered any question I had. I would take him again if I had to. LOVED him (even tho I don't really like chemistry)
best instructor ever
First the guy is extremely smart. Not only he worked in the field but he is been a professor at STLCC since 1992. Hauser will go out of his way to facilitate students that don't understand the material. One of the best teachers and person I have cross path with. My recommendation is extremely high. The best Chemistry teacher and that's final
Helped me work around my schedule so that I could attend his class. Great (memorable) lectures filled with corny jokes that help with remembering the material. ATTEND LECTURES. Creates great study guides for tests-and final. Straightforward grading and happy to help. The best teacher I've ever had! Highly recomend. He's an awesome GenChem1 teacher.
Honestly, the best instructor I have ever had. He gives you EVERYTHING you need to know for exams and labs. He makes it fun and jokes alot, mostly corny jokes. Nevertheless, he is a funny guy who has a great way of teaching his students the information. I had taken chem before him and got a b-, because of his teaching styles, I received an a-.
I took the chem 101 hybrid class. He is really one of the best teachers I've ever had. I rated him as easy not because the material is easy, but because he teaches in a fashion that helps you understand the topics. I didn't think I liked or understood chemistry, but I was wrong!
So everyone gets how he makes Chemistry super easy. He makes you really know the chemistry with lectures, demonstrations, and with fun jokes. Besides that, he is the nicest person that can ever exist.
He is the most helpful, personable, down to earth professor I have ever had (I have a masters degree). His response rate to emailed questions are 20min to 2hrs; he will not leave you hanging. Also, graded material is returned quickly. Extremely fair and has a great sense of humor. Do NOT take the hybrid class unless you have the 20hrs/wk for it!
I had no interest in Chem, had to take it as a prereq. Dr Hauser is funny, clear in his teachings, notes and fast response emails. He does all he can to ensure that you learn the material in an entertaining way and that you are ready for the exams. Notes for hybrid class were so clear and informative that you don't even really need the book. ikr
Very enthused about the topics he teaches. Lecture is not mandatory, but expect difficult testing if you miss a class and do not get notes.
The best of the best! If you want a teacher that is passionate about chemistry and engaging take Hauser. He presents difficult chemistry concepts in way that is interesting and memorable. He's the king of analogies and chemistry jokes. One of the best teachers. He makes you want to be a chemistry major.
Hauser is the best teacher I've ever had and I have taken a good amount of high level math and science at multiple colleges. This guy needs tenure at wash u or something. He cares and makes it his responsibility to make sure people understand the material. Don't see that often anymore. Great guy. I can't believe a teacher this great teaches here.
Best professor I've ever had hands down. You do need to pay attention in lectures and do all the work but if you do, you'll earn your A. Ask questions, he will go out of his way to make sure you know the material.
He is very passionate about chemistry and also about his job. He is a great professor and explains every concept in a easy way. Not a tough grader. His classes are enjoyable.
Awesome Chemistry teachers and one of my favorite teachers.
He is the best Chemistry teacher I have ever had. You should only study your notes and do the homework, and you will definitely get an A
Hauser made me love chemistry, he's very straight forward while still going into great detail on the material. He never surprises you on the tests or quizzes though you do need to at least put forth the effort to study a bit. I learned a ton from him and am so glad I took him. Definitely recommend.
I've since moved on to another college and miss the Chem department at Meramec. Both he and Frost are great teachers. If you need Chem take Hauser. Its that simple. I'm a Senior in a 4yr college now and Hauser is by far the best prof I've had. TAKE HAUSER. Take notes, follow study guides. He makes his lectures memorable making concepts easy.
Enthusiastic is an understatement. Intent on making sure you enjoy O. Chem. His lectures are fun, informative and occasionally funny. Do your readings, the short pre-lab, and write your procedures. Lab is exciting and rewarding if you do your part. Just stay on top of the post-lab work. Not an easy A but if you actually do your work a B- ?
I used to hate chemistry before. Hauser's teaching is one reason I changed my major to an incorporated chemistry field. He explains everything very well and uses comedy and day to day scenarios to make the material understandable. He actually wants you to understand chemistry, not just read it. Come to class, get the notes. The A's yours!

Absolutely amazing instructor. Used humor to keep the class engaged. Labs reinforced relevant material. Performs many in class demonstrations.
Fantastic professor that really cares about his students. Gen Chem 1 is a hard class to understand but Professor Hauser makes it great. He goes way out of his way to help his students and he makes himself available for office hours. If you want to take chemistry take it with Hauser!
Professor Hauser takes a really tough subject and teaches it in a way that everyone can understand. St. Louis Community College is lucky to have a professor of this caliber. Easily the best teacher I've had at any level.
Professor Hauser was a great teacher, and he made his lectures as painless as possible, and his labs entertaining yet useful. I would definitely recommend him as a Professor.
Such an amazing professor!! He is always there whenever you need questions answered. But you will have to work hard in this class. He doesn't give out extra credit very often.
This subject isn't easy, but Professor Hauser made it as simple as possible, but still made you work for your grade. Not a lot of extra credit opportunities, MUST STUDY FOR EXAMS - you're grade rides on it.
Professor Hauser was amazing! His lectures were very easy to follow, and extra handouts were available for tricky materials. He wanted you to succeed in his class. Great!
U get what u put in. I took hybrid course. U really teach urself so if u need a teacher to explain chem to u don't take his hyrbid course. He sometimes does a mini lecture but class is mainly for lab. I used YouTube to help me and practiced hw problems. Tests r not easy But he doesn't trick you. Read the notes, do the homework u shld pass. Got a 86
Prof. Hauser is simply amazing. Had him for Gen Chem 1 and currently for Orgo lab. He is an exceptional teacher who cares about his students and clearly loves what he does. Chem is tough, but he makes it clear and digestible. He will equip you with all the tools you need to succeed, but you have to put in the work. It's an honor to be his student.
Prof Hauser has been, BY FAR, the best that I have ever encountered. I am a transfer student, and while I have attended 5 other colleges (including courses through Harvard), Prof Hauser is the real deal... He is not an "easy A" yet, he is a Master at his skills of knowing how to instruct and guide his students towards their greatest potential!
I have only attended his lab class and I found that Dr. Hauser is phenomenal. He is very clear about what he expects from you to do. I loved every single lab experiment, but you have to do a lot of work before and after the experiment.
My favorite college professor BY FAR. Hauser is amazing. He makes Chemistry so much easier to understand and alot more fun to learn about. I wish I could take him for every Chemistry class I have to take. He is the best. Would highly recommend him.
Absolutely wonderful teacher who loves his job! He takes time to explain everything in his own way using logic that everyone can understand. He grades fairly. His labs are great and entertaining. He clearly wants everybody to get passionate about chemistry & learn at least some basic stuff. I would take his class again! But, be ready for hard work!
Professor Hauser is the absolute best teacher I've had, no exaggeration. He explains concepts in easy to understand ways, makes his lectures entertaining and accessible for all, and is generally a great person. Although chemistry is a challenging subject, he made me want to succeed. He clearly outlines learning objectives and how he grades.
Took this class in my 1st semester of college back in 2011. I was scared of the class, but he explained things so clearly, that I started to love chem even though I hated it in high school. Sometimes the labs were kind of hard, but I made all A's on everything except for the first exam since I didnt study for it, or I wouldve had an A not a B.
Professor Hauser is one of the better professors I've ever had. He genuinely cares about both the material that he teaches, as well as his students. He is very interactive, engaging, upbeat, and patient. His grading is fair (especially with the labs), and the tests cover the direct material taught in lecture. You need to study to get an A.
He works hard to be the best teacher he can be. His grading was quick, but in depth, with many opportunities to get points for doing the right work, even if the answer wasn't correct. There weren't surprises on the tests, just the same types of problems from the weekly problem solving sessions and recommended problems. Highly recommend.
What a fantastic teacher! He is extremely passionate about the subject and presents the material in such a visual way that makes intricate and abstract subjects palatable and even humorous. I couldn't get enough of his corney-but-effective use of humor in this course. I'm coming back to this college this semester specifically for this instructor!
Prof. Hauser is a great teacher. I took a hybrid Chemistry class, which meant most of the course was online, but we did labs and took our main exams at school (so we ended up attending class about twice per month). He takes time to explain things, is present and available at all times, and throws lots of jokes into his lectures and explanations. A+
Professor Hauser is one of my favorite professors! He is so quick with his feedback and he is clear on what he wants you to know for tests.
AMAZING PROFESSOR! Gives example after example and really makes this class fun and easy to understand.
This is the second time taking this professor and I am certainly not disapointed. He makes his lectures fun, imaginative, light and easy to understand. He can make a joke about anything chemistry-related. He's extremely visual with his approach, often making extremely abstract and hard-to-grasp concepts a walk in the park! Great lab instructor too
Professor Hauser makes chemistry easy (if you can ever call chemistry 'easy.') His lectures and notes make the material fun and easy to understand. His tests contain questions just like the homework questions, no surprises. If you keep up with the material and work on the practice questions you will do well in this class. And he's very funny!
He's a really good lecturer, he's super funny and a really nice guy. His test are pretty hard and you will need to study really hard for them in order to pass. But as long as you do the actual work and study you'll be okay.
He makes hard topics easy to understand. The class consist of lectures and labs. You have to pick a new partner for every lab session. There is 1 small paper that we have to write, but it wasn't that hard.
One of the best teachers/professors I have had throughout my educational career!
Professor Hauser is a good and articulate lecturer. He utilizes blackboard regularly. He's very attentive during labs and does lots of demonstrations. Anyone taking him should be aware of grading and testing policies. He adjusts the grading scale eg 92-100 is A, 82-92 is B and etc. Also, he doesn't return tests and goes fast during lectures.
If you're planning to take chemistry at STLCC sign up for Prof. Hauser right now! He is an amazing teacher. He makes the material easy to understand and teaches you to think through the concepts so you don't have to rely on rote memorization alone. No grades for homework (or attendance), but he goes over all the homework with the class each week.
I took his hybrid class where the class only meets 8 times in the semester and he is so fantastic! His labs were interesting and he is very willing to help you in any way he can! He is very passionate about his work. On top of that he's hilarious so it makes class even more fun. Very clear about what will be on tests.
Professor Hauser was amazing. He definitely doesn't hand out grades, but he presents the material in a way that anyone could understand it. His lectures are filled with jokes, demonstrations, and visual representations of the ideas he lectures on. His tests can be tough, and his grading is odd, but if you put in the work you do well.
Professor Hauser was a great teacher! I was worried since it had been awhile since I had high school chemistry, but it was not a problem. Professor Hauser had great lectures and made hard material seem very understandable and easy. He makes you work for your grade but it is worth it! 10/10 recommend!
He is not only a wonderful teacher but also a great human being.
This class was very hard but I would not have passed without the encouragement and help of Professor Hauser.
Prof Hauser is amazing! His lectures are really amusing and he's very energetic. He makes Chemistry seem easy and teaches it to you in a way so you can think about it comprhesenively on the test. I've never seen him sit down besides in his office. Take him if you want to succeed. I barely made it to an A because, 92 and above is an A!
I took an accelerated course, so in the bylaws it states this is supposed to be a self taught class. It was very difficult and went by FAST, but if you are there for the lectures and take it seriously this is a really fun and dare I say "easy" class. Be sure to have a handle on Algebra before taking it.
Prof. Hauser is hands down one of the best teachers I've ever had. I took the hybrid class w/ 8 meetings. Each class you have either 2 labs or 1 lab & an exam. Is self-taught, but he is extremely accessible & willing to help. He explains things in a way that they are easy to understand. If you pay attention, he TELLS you what he's going to test on
Prof Hauser is a great professor. I took his hybrid course so it was a lot of work, but he definitely attempted to make the material as easy as possible and was accessible outside of class and in lab. In class, you either have 2 labs or a lab and an exam. I would recommend studying the material a lot because the exams are a big chunk of your grade.
Professor Hauser was the best hard science prof I have taken. His lectures are great, the way he explains things makes them really easy to understand. As long as you take good notes, and pay attention in lab you will have everything you need to do well on exams. Ask for extra problems before exams, they are great prep!
Literally the best teacher Ive ever had. It doesnt get much better than Professor Hauser, he knows exactly how to teach the material he needs to teach to get you prepared for exams. Theres absolutely no reason to fail his class either, hes very accessible and makes everything as simple as possible. Couldnt have asked for a better teacher!
I took CHM 101 hybrid. Since it is hybrid you really do have to put in a lot of work but also Hauser provides a ton of resources to understand the material. He gives a lot of info on what to expect on an exam. He is one of the best Professors Ive ever had!
Do yourself a favor and take chemistry with Hauser. Certainly not an easy class by nature, but he makes it as fun and interactive as humanly possible. you'll likely be able to get all notes from his lectures, and he even adds extra credit questions to most of the exams - likely the best professor I've ever had.
Professor Hauser is, by far, one of the best professors. His teaching is clear, and he tries to make it as simple as possible for the students. His exams are exactly what was taught in class and the textbook is only used for the homework. COVID-19 didn't affect his teaching method because everything was still clear, from notes to exams.
One of the best professor for chemistry. I am not a math or chemistry person but his clear info, material, extra video links & stuff helped to me learn. Due to COVID19 i took his class online and was worried, but he is the most caring professor i ever had. he always gave answers to my foolish questions, gives feedback on quiz, exams & lab.
Really great teacher. Lots of opportunities to get your grade up. Hes very caring and tries his best to make sure youre doing well in the class. Im very happy I had him as a teacher.
You will NOT regret taking this class with professor Hauser. He is by far the best professor/teacher I have ever had. Chemistry isn't an easy subject but he makes it easy to where anyone could understand but he makes you work for it. The lectures aren't boring, the labs are fun and informative. BEST PROFESSOR HANDS DOWN.
You can tell that Professor Hauser really cares about his job and how his students perform. His lectures and notes are really easy to follow. You go over one chapter every week on average with a very short quiz after each chapter. You have 4 exams that cover 3 chapters. He gives plenty of study material throughout the entire semester to help you.
Professor Hauser has to be one of the best teachers I've had at this campus. He was so enthusiastic about what he taught .It showed through his conversations and willingness to help that he actually likes chemistry and wanted his students to do well. He would relate the lessons to real life as much as he could and I really appreciated that. Study!
The best kind of teacher. You'll learn a lot of basic chemistry AND you'll get an easy A. Cleary very passionate about teaching and his students. Labs are fun and he's there to help guide you. Lectures are interesting and amusing thanks to his antics.
Professor Hauser was absolutely one of the best academic mentors I have had in my entire life. The lectures hold your interest, and the labs are always fun, and he really cares about each individual student. The course is such a great experience, and it really does end too soon.
Professor Hauser is simply amazing. If you havent passed Chemistry before in the past, you should definitely give him a try. His lectures are SO informative that he could explain it to a child and they would understand. Definitely take him!! You will pass!
One of the best professors at this college for sure. You should take him for any general chemistry if you can. Funny, nice, and always understanding, he makes chemistry easy and fun to learn. His lectures are easy to follow and as long as you keep up with the homework, you will get an A. Beware his handwriting can be hard to decipher at times.
I took Professor Hauser for chem 1 and for organic chemistry lab 1. He is the best teacher at this campus hands down. You can tell he is so happy to teach others and his love for chemistry. He's lectures are straight forward and helpful. His tests are very lecture heavy, so make sure you take good notes. He is more than happy to help.
Wow, what a semester. Professor Hauser made chem my favorite class in college so far. His lectures were incredibly informative and they weren't boring in the slightest. He was always in a good mood and always went the extra mile for me and other students in the class. If you have the opportunity, take professor for chem, you will not regret it.
Super helpful teacher! Really wants you to succeed. Great lectures that are easy to understand!
The best teacher I've ever had. His lecture makes difficult concept really easy and fun. Thanks to his class, Chemistry became my favorite.
LOVE him he is fantastic. He's funny, the experiments are fun. He makes it simple to understand. He truly cares and has a passion for teaching!! You will have to put in the work, practice, and study but if you do it should be a pretty easy class.
Awesome professor. Very understanding of people's situations. Gives the information easy and simple. Exams are not hard as long as you study his notes and solve the extra problems. Very funny.
I took CHM105 in the spring with Professor Hauser. He is an amazing professor who makes the material easy to understand. The exams depend on the notes given in class and homework problems. There are exams and weekly quizzes that are on a set day. He wants you to do well so you can go and ask for extra problems to solve.
I was nervous about taking this class, but Professor Hauser made chemistry very fun and easy to understand! The homework is "optional" but you should really do it, and tests/psqs/quizzes are very lecture heavy but as long as you have someone to get notes from, it shouldn't be too hard to catch up if you miss a class. Prof H is an amazing teacher.
Professor Hauser gives awesome lectures, full of funny jokes and great examples to illustrate his points. I really enjoyed his lectures and the labs and didn't miss a single one of either the entire semester.
It's easy to tell that Professor Hauser loves teaching. He's always able to bring up an analogy or mnemonic that makes difficult concepts easy to understand. He has plenty of office hours, too, so don't be afraid to ask questions or get extra practice! I was a little nervous to take chemistry, but I have no regrets after taking it with him!
Hauser is the best chemistry professor ever. He explains difficult concepts super well and gives lots of visual or hands on examples. The class is graded by 4 exams labs and psq. The psq is a 5 point quiz ever week before lab but only 2 questions so even if you get both questions wrong you still get a 3/5. Exams are easy but go to office hours.
Professor Hauser is an amazing professor. He teaches the material in a way that is easy to understand and then gives practice to really make sure you own the material. My only complaint is that in order to get an A in his class, you must get a 92%. That being said, he provides a few optional assignments for extra credit to help get there.
Prof. Hauser is the best professor I have ever had. Chemistry is difficult, but he breaks it down into understandable segments. He always brings a sense of humor to class and loves interacting with the students. Make sure you go to his office hours to get the test review packets. If you do the review packets then you'll be good to go on the tests.
Professor provides excellent lectures. A sprinkle of "Bill Nye the Science Guy" in the sense that he is making a hard topic fun and interactive. Do the homework, study the handouts, get a tutor and you'll be great. For me, this was just a hard subject but he did make it enjoyable to learn.
Professor Hauser is an angel. He is hands down the best professor on this campus. He is also hilarious. I will take every chemistry class he teaches.
Professor Hauser was the best chemistry professor, or maybe professor I have ever had. His ability to teach was amazing. He is able to clearly express terms, express them in another way, and then relate them to outside topics. Fair warning; he is full of terrible dad jokes, but even those are endearing to his teaching style. AMAZING
Professor Hauser's CHEM105 class is a blast - he makes a tough subject fun and engaging. Attend lectures, do the homework, and use Unstuck AI to ace the exams. With his helpful guidance, I found chemistry becoming my favorite class.
You can get by pretty easy without buying the textbook as it's only used for homework which isn't required or graded. He posts homework questions with answers on canvas if you want to study them there. He is tough on grading and looks for very specific answers. The grading system is also adjusted so that >92% is an A.
Professor Hauser is one of the easiest STEM professors to work with on the campus. He was very clear about his learning goals and expectations, carefully giving us hints about what we might need to know and what we might being tested on. Come to the lectures, ask questions, get tutoring, and spend some time getting to know him. Study hard, get A.
Prof Hauser was awesome. He took some tough concepts and made them learnable. His labs were a blast to participate in. Although some days in lecture were long and slow, what can you expect for a class such as this. He was overall engaging and wanted you to succeed. I wish I could take more classes with him. He makes it clear what you need to know
Prof. Hauser was truly one of the best professors you can have. He truly takes his time to help you understand, his lectures contained many references and examples to help you understand better, and the way he structured the course was extraordinary. I highly recommend this professor, you will be in great hands.
I would highly recommend taking this professor. He will give you every bit of study material needed to succeed. Going to his lectures was never a bore, he would make them very engaging with various jokes as well as being able to relate the concepts to real world scenarios that can relate to everyone.
This was by far one of the best professors I have ever had. There is a lot of work and studying required to get an A but he gives you every bit of material needed to achieve an A as long as you are willing to do it. His lectures are incredibly engaging and I never get bored.
Although the material for this course isn't too difficult, the professor tends to talk down to students and blatantly lied to my face. I dropped the class not because I did poorly academically but because I did not want to take the class with a prof who is clearly too comfortable. I'll hopefully retake with a prof who's more professional.
He is amazing, I personally didn't do that well grade wise but I still loved being there, he makes funny jokes all lectures that just make you smile. He's very passionate about what he does and you can see he loves it. He gives extra credit at the beginning of the semester, grades are based on labs, psq's, quizzes and exams. Just study you'll pass
As a single mom with several jobs, Hybrid was the only accessible class format for me. I was anxious about the lack of class hours, but Prof Hauser was involved, entertaining, made the information digestible, and was great at weeding out filler material to focus on what matters. Take advantage of his MANY extra resources- esp practice exams!
