Dr. Hillard is really, really funny. His lectures are really interesting and fun because he speaks alot of personal experiences to help you grasp the materials. He is so helpful & he goes over just about everything that's going to be on the test in class

Very enthusiastic about subject. Gives great real life experiences. Tests are over exactly what he puts on board, is on handouts and covered thoroughly in lecture.

He is a great professor. I had tons of people recomending him. He likes to lecture alot, but they aren't borring. He prepares you good for test and if you attend class daily you won't get r than a B for the term. He loves psycology and he will make you love it too.

He made it very easy to understand the material. He lectures, but he is hilarious and he really makes it fun. He knows what he's talking about. I took Psych twice before, and dropped, but passed with an A this time!

He was my professor a few years ago, i have since gotten my BA is PSY and I never had a class since (clinical psy) his, that I learned so much in. He is awesome, I might just take the class again, as a refresher.

Best teacher ever! Hillard told the best stories, and kept class so interesting. Any teacher that can have 30 students laughing ang interested at 7:30am has got to be pretty awesome. I have never had so much fun in a class and been able to remember the material so well. His tests were easy, basically just like the one he gave as a study guide.

I really enjoyed his Psych 105 class. I really liked his teaching method. He gives examples of real life, related to the topics, which really helps to memorize the materials. If you don't miss his classes, listen carefully, and take good notes, you will surely get an "A" in his class.

Dr hillard is an awesome instructor, He's really hands on and loves to go in depth on the subject maters. If you attent class and pay attention theres no way you can fail his class. Probaly one of the best instructors there.

This is a very informational class. I found it fun and difficult at the same time because it really made me think out side the box. What I thought was the right way,was wrong and via versa. The england language has to many means for just one word.

DR HILLARD IS AWESOME. HE EXPLAINS EVERYTHING VERY CLEARLY, WITH PLENTY OF EXAMPLES, SO YOU REALLY LEARN THE SUBJECT. HIS TESTS ARE EASY AS LONG AS YOU COME TO CLASS AND HAVE GOOD NOTES.

I guess I will be the voice of dissention here. Mr Hillard does have an easy class-so much so I was dissapointed. My high school Psy class was harder and more thought-provoking. I sometimes felt he really just wants to make people laugh. If you need your education spoon fed to you, this is the teacher. He is VERY nice so its hard to judge him.

he is the reason i chose my major. one of the greatest teachers i have ever had. he makes everything he talks about interesting and fun to learn. if you can take him, you will not be disappointed. wish all my classes were like that and maybe i'd be closer to finishing school by now. great great man

Very nice, Very helpful. BORED ME TO TEARS!!!! He Rambles a lot! His examples are based on past Clients. You pretty much have to teach yourself (read the book or his handouts) I didn't look forward to going to his class after about 3 weeks. He intends to show videos, but talks so much he never gets to it.I would not suggest him if you prefer detail

Dr. Hillard is very entertaining in class. His tests require you to apply the material that you have learned (it's not definitions, but examples). He tells lots of funny stories about past clients to illustrate concepts that he's teaching about, but gets off on a lot of tangents. If you like listening to teachers tell stories, he's your man.

Dr. Hillardis awesome!!You really have to study for his tests, he tells alot of stories, and he makes the funniest faces and voices I have ever heard. He gives you 3 tests not including the final. Youget handouts, and a practice exam. for the tests you get a full sheet of paper. Write down everything he says.

Professor Hillard is a brilliant professor and is very knowledgeable. He teaches the class according to his experience. The class is super interesting and note taking is key. Tests are fairly simple if you don't miss class. I recommend taking him if Psychology is your major, he is super passionate about it and extremely animated :)

Dr. Hillard is a great teacher. He teaches based on his own practice, which is much more interesting than the cases presented in the book. His tests are really easy, he offers a lot of extra credit (if you come to class, he gives you 2-3 points), and book work is minimal. He repeats his stories occasionally, but he is a fun, easy-going guy.

Dr. Hillard is great! He's so funny and does these crazy faces! He does not go off the book. Each definition is explained by a crazy funny life story or by youtube/ted talk videos. Super easy and fun. There are no quizzes or HW and he lets you use notes on exams

Dr.Hillard is a BEAUTIFUL person walking this Earth.To cross a person such as him is a GIFT.He has such an understanding and a big heart.He teaches with these qualities. To have the opportunity to learn from a Dr.with these rare qualities is something I will never forget.I recommend Dr.Hillard's class for anyone who wants an everlasting experience.

READ the book helps on the exams and since there is only 150 points available in this class read the chapters and take great notes. Dr. Hillard makes learning fun and interesting and you can chat with him in office or after class, very interested in helping students succeed!

Dr. Hillard is a nice man, a very, very nice man. He tells entertaining stories. But as an instructor he is highly ineffective. He goes off on tangents and then struggles to cover required information in the allotted time. Folk songs on YouTube seem a waste of class time. I feel no more informed on the subject than prior to taking his class

I absolutely loved this class. I took it during summer and had a great time. He is HILARIOUS and gives extra credit if you attend every class session. Taking again for developmental psychology!

Very easy class but you will definitely learn something, don't look forward to a ton of work if you like it, i showed up not because i had to but because it was the funnest class i had. very easy testsfinal if you can't answer one question he gives you the answer. Textbook use is on your own, not very necessary for the class but useful.

This guy is truly a rare find among teachers. He has decades of therapy experience and always has a way to relate some of the patients that he's had over the years with whatever he's going over in class. He's easy-going he's a great story teller. He always manages to make things fun and easy to pay attention to. I'd recommend him for anyone. :)

Dr. Hillard is fantastic. Super relaxed class, and he's a very understanding professor, who gives plenty of opportunity for extra credit. He also offers plenty of ways to help bolster scores-- he gives practice tests that often have actual test questions in them. Also, he's been a clinical psychologist, and his anecdotes are fantastic.

Michael Hillard, such an inspirational instructor that made this Intro to Psychology very interesting. He has a lot of experience behind him. For THOSE of you who don't want to show up to class and expect to pass, tough luck. Study for the tests and come on people he USE one entire sheet of notes FRONT and BACK! I actually took Mike Hillard's class awhile back. But it was so enjoyable I decided to minor in Psychology! Mike always made himself available to students after class. He used real life examples of people to help the students understand the concepts and terminology he was teaching. He was a very caring professor. I took every class he taught.
