He is just awesome teacher! very funny. Class is easy but you have to participate and ask questions. He grades very fairly. He gives a lot of extra credits and he plays a lot of movies in class. Highly recommended.

No matter what, he always gave us examples that we could relate to. I definitely recommend taking his Ethics class! Books are mandatory, and taking plenty of notes. Great professor. He explains the material very well and his class is very fun to attend; however, the material can sometimes be confusing so be sure you unerstand. You have to participate on a regular basis, but that's not a problem because there is always something you will feel in the need to throw out. He always has the perfect response.

Dr. Hurlburt is amazing! Really funny and very passionate about his job. Grading is fair, he does give pop quizzes but they are really easy. Prof Hurlburt is a cool professor! He is very patient and very thoughtful towards everyone. Since this was an honors class, I expected a harder class but he did not make it feel like that. Professor Hurlburt is awesome! This class was super interesting and makes you think. He's really funny and does his best to explain complicated material. He does give random pop quizzes at the beginning of class though so try not to be late often. Going to class was always exciting! Oh, and he's quite nice to stare at for and hour and a half...

This professor is a good one. He actually takes the time to teach you something and explain it as best as he can. I took a fast-paced class with him and I understood what he taught. Definitely recommend him, however make sure you go to class on time because he does give pop-quizzes.

Dr Hurlburt is great at breaking down ethical issues into plain language. You must do the assigned reading, and attend class to take advantage of this though. If you do these two things, this class is an easy A. Class participation is a must, so be prepared to talk. Sometimes he does go off topic which can be confusing.

He is an amazing professor. He has very clear and understanding lectures, and he's funny. There was only 4 tests (I thought were easy), pop quizzes (5 easy True and false questions), and 2 interesting essays.

I took philosophy with another professor and it was so boring! But I took this class with Professor Hulburt and it was so fun and interesting! He's very easy but gives a lot of pop quizzes even after a test. So you have to study for the main tests and lectures are interesting. I advise you to not miss a class because we take a lot of notes.

Took him online over the summer. Real interesting class, discussions were engaging, and the tests were simple. Three essays as the course starts to wrap up. He responds to emails as quick as he can. Since this is online, prepare for a BIG proctored final exam.

Took his class online. Everything will be fine as long as you complete all assignments. To be honest im not entirely sure he reads all the work just checks for completion. ONE THING HE DOES CHECK FOR IS PLAGIARISM! write in your own words, even if it is garbage lol. Final is proctored, can be nerve racking if you open booked all other tests ;) lol

Great teacher he explains everything very well and makes it relate able so the material is very easy to understand. Tests are easy and everything is talked about in class before. easy to pass. He is a smart funny professor and I'd recommend him and his class to anyone.

I took PHI2600 online with professor Hurlbert. It was a lot of reading and a lot of work, but he is a very fair grader and really cares about his class.

He is a great professor. I took his class in person and he makes philosophy more relatable to you. he is also pretty funny if that helps. he thoroughly prepares you for the test but you MUST take good notes. His class was my easiest class of the semester.

I'm taking him now for 6 weeks for summer course, and honestly it's a lot of information. Test every week, we'll have lecture one day and the next day is test day. Overall, he's not bad, really funny, He keeps using Lebron and the NBA finals as his examples lol his lectures are very relatable, and explains them thoroughly. he's great

PARTIPATE(is extra credit for tests), take notes, arrive early cuz he gives quizzes at the beginning of the class, he gives a lot of examples and does not moves until everyone understands. Im taking this course on-line and it is hard. My advise is not to take this online course and go to the classroom instead and ask questions. And take your time. There is too much info to cover in 6 weeks.

Best professor yet! Very interesting class, and participation is key. Test are only hard if you do not read the material, just study and you'll be just fine. You learn alot of valuable material in this course; Take this class, you won't regret it! (he provides extra credit, participation is also applied as extra points, + 4 tests and pop quizzes)

This professor was awesome! we mostly had discussion, and they were very interesting and though provoking. If you do no like to talk, this class is not for you as participation is 10% of your grade. He is very caring, and you will be able to share your feelings freely in his class whenever he asks for your opinions.

He is really caring and does everything he can to make you understand the material, he provides everything you need to read and study to pass the exams and get good grades in the other assessments. He was generally decent man overall. The people that got C's were the ones that skipped/didn't read. You just really need to show up to class to understand it, the book alone won't help; specially if the class is fast-paced or shorter than usual. Watch all the videos that he emails you, its not bad. Funny and interesting to listen in class.

This was an Ethics class. This was the first eEthics class I have taken and found it somewhat difficult at times. I found myself reading and re-reading often. I honestly think that this is a difficult subject. The professor did well structuring the course and providing necessary resources. Study for your tests especially the final.

By far the best professor Ive ever had. He has a passion for Ethics and teaches in a way that is both enjoyable and easy to understand. Make sure to make it to every class possible because the notes will help on the test. His test and papers are all based on what youve gone over in class so if you pay attention, youll pass with flying colors.

Professor Hulburt makes the classes entertaining., he is hilarious. The quizzes and tests could be a little bit tricky, so you need to study for them, and pay attention to details. This professor offers extra credit at the end of the semester. If you are willing to do your part I recommend this professor.

Professor Hurlburt is the best! I took him for PHI2010, and it was by far one of my most entertaining classes. He is hilarious, and he cares A LOT about his students. He wants you to pass, and he wants his class to be entertaining. He makes it easy for students as long as you put on your part too. 1 quiz/each module, discussions, and 3 assignments.

One of the best professors I have ever had.

Professor Hurlburt was hilarious and his lectures were always fun and engaging. I took a blended course so some days I would attend class and some days I would stay at home. Everything needed to pass was available in class and online so it did not matter if you chose to do the class solely online. I genuinely enjoyed learning in his class.

I took this class online and it was a bit difficult. There are 6 assignments (write 2-3 paragraphs) and 3 tests. The tests are proctored and are a majority of your grade. He puts tricky questions so be careful. Everything is spaced out so theres time to do the work. He gives feedback and the only thing I can really recommend is to study.

Prof. Hurlburt will you having laughing during a majority of the course while also doing a very good job at helping the students understand a difficult topic.

As long as you turn your work in and take his assigned practice tests(they’re optional but extremely helpful) you’ll be fine. Test are what make or break your grade in this class though they aren’t too difficult as long as you study.

6 assignments and 3 quizzes, thats it. Easy class, plenty of time is given for each assignment. Material was confusing but the given sources; especially the YT vids, were very helpful. Discussions were optional, quizzes are proctored. Grading is lenient and gives quick and informational feedback.

Professor Hurlbert is a very good teacher. He provides good feedback on assignments and questions asked in class, provides useful discussions and videos to help with a topic, and will have you laughing a lot during the lectures.

I typically don't rate professors but this is the best experience I've had at Broward College. This professor provides great feedback, is quick to respond, and cares about his students. He even created extra credit assignments and plenty of material to study. If you do not succeed in this class it's because you really do not try!

Professor Hurlburt was amazing! I started out rough in the semester, but he was quick to respond to emails and set up a meeting with me when I expressed that I was concerned for my grade. I managed to earn an A fair and square with his support. I learned a lot from the course, I'd take him again without a doubt!

He is an amazing teacher, like I looked forward to going to class everyday. He even got us entangled with it classmates which I loved. so sad that class was over because we all had bonded so much. It felt like high school. He had great lectures and they were all engaging, his lessons were full of information that was mind twisting and enlightening.

He grades fairly and takes accountability when/if there is an error or mistake on his part. Come to class, do the assignments, study for the quizzes (100% of the quiz information is covered in the lecture), and you'll do well.

Great and interesting lectures, he's very funny and explains things so easily! Only 6 east short response assignments and 3 test, make up the whole class. The 3 test are worth like 60% of you grade, but he gives all the information during his lectures so just study although the material is a bit hard. No midterm or final, for this class either

Prof. Hurlburt is great and made this class enjoyable. Only three written assignments and three quizzes for the whole semester, not too hard if you study. You do need to buy your own scantrons for quizzes which is not mentioned in the syllabus.

Mr.Hurlburt is an amazing teacher is an amazing teacher who doesn't assign much work. Hi only work are his three quizzes which are based off crash course video that he gives the links to. There are also class discussions to talk about theories and test yourself to see if you understand the subject. Overall, he's an amazing teacher.
