No textbook needed! Super awesome guy, our class had really engaging and fun lectures. The content of the class was difficult but he goes way out of his way to help you. He is a funny guy and there wasn't a day that I didn't like class. I saw a comment on here that called him "woke" and that person is so right! His class is super unique.
Come with an open mind because Prof. Iachetta is going to give you the tools to think for yourself and understand the fundamentals of the US Constitution, which can be applied to other forms of government. Participation in-class groups is encouraged. E-book provided by Prof. If your a philosopher type you'll enjoy the class.
Participation & attendance matter in his classroom he's a tougher grader. One of those professors that likes to hear what he wants to hear not what you want to say, he's passionate about his work but sometimes it's hard to comprehend his points about the subject. Especially the papers you have to write If you want more ratings search using Richland
Professor Iachetta will make you think and participate in the classroom's activities. I've learned a lot taking this class and I would have him as a Professor again in a heartbit. He is very acessible and he cares about his students. No cell phone use is allowed in class. Textbook availabe for download for free!
Very intelligent and understanding
I truly enjoyed him as a professor . His lectures online had me really interested government. Prof. Iachette was quick about responding back to email.
Dr Iachetta is a GREAT professor. He always gave awesome feedback and helped in leading each student to a better grade. Never gave answers, but always gave input to help you make a better grade. Highly recommended!
His class was great. It was really easy. His lectures were great, watched some but I didnt really need them for anything. I took quizzes and the tests had the same questions so I took pictures of the quizzes and used them on the tests. He used and provided his own book, so u dont have to pay for that. Overall it was really easy! Its a 9/10
There are quizzes and discussion posts every week. If you keep up with the readings and take notes of the key ideas the quizzes shouldn't be a problem. There are also practice questions in between lessons that simulate how quiz questions will look like.
The online lectures need to be refreshed. Very good at answering any additional questions about his lectures.
I took Professor Iachetta for GOVT 2305 & 2306 and really enjoyed the way he taught. He uses an easy to follow textbook and it is free! He makes himself very accessible if you have questions or concerns and he is overall a nice person and very invested in each students success! He was also funny and I learned so much about government!
Considering this is an online class, Professor Iachetta provides video lectures to fully understand the material that is being discussed. He also provides excellent feedback and is available for one on one conferences if needed.
This class was super easy especially since i hate government. The materials were easy to follow. Good amount of work not overloaded so you can actually learn and enjoy the material. Would definitely take this class again.
He is really straight forward and cares about students grades. I enjoyed being in his class.
Professor Iachetta gives excellent feedback on your assignments. He sends out reminders before every deadline. He challenges you to think outside of the box. If you stay engaged with the assignments and communication with him you will do great in his class.
Super easy online course. All you really have to do is read the summaries - I would recommend re-writing the summaries on a different document and take the quizzes at the end of each module (practice quiz), and you'll pass the weekly quizzes. The writing assignments are also super easy with clear expectations of what you need.
I took it in the online class in the summer and all I will say is that if you read his power point what he uploads and try your best, you will pass.
He created his own textbook & his lessons were practical to todays society. This class was very enlightening & I highly recommend taking his class!!
Dr. Iachetta is a wonderful teacher it was an honor to learn from.
He is amazing. Lots of reading but easy. I took it online and I would take him again and again. Good luck!
The Professor provided me with great material and lectures that made excellent sense, I learned much regarding govt. and about many things that should be taught to students. I came away with a richer overall understanding of U.S and Texas government and the importance of participation in order to make a difference. I really enjoy the class.
Honestly loved this class hes gives so much feedback that the assignments become easy. You can tell he really cares.
Very good professor.
Professor Iachettas Texas Government class was one of the best classes Ive had in college. His assignments are straight to the point yet make you think about the government in a different way. He replied to all my emails in less than 24 hours. The absolute best! 7 quizzes, 7DBs, 1 Midterm & Final paper. Plus extra credit!!! YOU WONT REGRET IT.
A very good proffessor.
He is awesome. Took this class online, lectures are very interesting. Glad I took this class. 7 discussion boards and they were very easy, 7 quizzes over reading material and as long as you read you will do fine. 2 papers and for me they were pretty tough other than that, do the work and you will pass.
Amazing teacher
The class was good overall. I got an A , but i had to stay up every night during the course because there was an assignment due every other day. Its very doable, however i believe this class will be so much better without the discussion board. It was really stressful thinking about what to write and what to respond .
Iachetta was a great professor! I took his online course for the summer for transfer credit and it's very easy as long as you set aside some time to work on it every day. He had two papers for the midterm and final with opportunities to earn points back from extra credit. Although it was a short course, I feel like I learned a lot about government.
Professor Iachetta is an excellent professor. He goes in detail about the lectures, and offers great feedback on essays. There is also many opportunities for extra credit. I would definitely recommend his class.
I really enjoyed taking this class! The professor provides the textbook at no cost and videos to help you understand the material better. When it comes to the written assignments, he provides great feedback and gives lots of opportunity for extra credit. You can tell he's really passionate about this subject and cares about your success in class!
Professor Iachetta is an outstanding teacher at Eastfield! There are only 7 discussions and 7 quizzes, so as long as you read you'll be fine. Many chances to get extra credit, and you're able to retake quizzes twice. His lectures and feedback helped me understand so much about our government. DEFINITELY take him.
Amazing Instructor
All around great!
Prof. Iachetta was a decent professor. This class was by far the most difficult class I have taken. His feedback was hard to understand in some parts, but he always gave a lot of feedback on papers. The textbook was poorly organized, and it was difficult to read. I appreciated the ability to take tests twice. Difficult class.
I took GOV 2305. There is a lot of reading to do, but it is duo able. In total there is 7 discussions and 7 quizzes a mid-term and final paper. Professor Iachetta gives good material and instructions, he gives you the option to earn extra credit towards both papers. Overall this class was very manageable, I recommend it.
This class was pretty simple, he provides the textbook you use, and he gave lots of feed back on everything! Class was online and stuff was due like every 3-4 days so attendance is kinda your own! Overall a super good course!!
He provides a textbook online for his students. So you save money on textbooks.
You get two main essays (both very similar and have the exact same grading criteria). These essays aren't graded by how well you can write, but rather by answering the question. The discussion boards were due around every week, along with accompanying quizzes about the written & video lectures. You'll do fine if you just follow the rules.
The material itself is not hard to follow and you are given the opportunity to retake quizzes an additional time. Prof. Iachetta is a gem, he posts his personal lectures and while they can be long it is not bad to watch. There are two essays to write and he gives you the layout. It not an "easy A" but it is not a hard class. Just do the work.
I took this course online during a May term. Dr. Iachetta has good video lectures and his feedback on the rough drafts made it possible to get a good grade on the final essays and two chances for the quizzes. There was a lot of reading. I appreciate the different way of thinking about government and I will be taking him for 2305 if possible!
Gives out homework that is relatively easy to do. Gives online text material and summarizes it for you. Also creates video lectures to help students understand the material. Grading criteria can somewhat be vague but this allows students to expand on their writing and answer the question more thoroughly.
This is the online class and it was really easy. As long as you just write the single question from the practice quizzes and read the summaries, you'll be able to get a B and above. The hard part is the two essays you have to write which one of them is the final. He's a pretty strict grader so I recommend doing the extra credit for feedback.
Insightful.
Only one thing to say, if you do what your supposed to do, you will pass. Its easy but takes time.
LOTS OF WRITING! Very hard grader on discussion boards and 2 essays. He waited till the last day of class to post all of my writing grades. I am a A+ student and it bothered me that I did not know my grade all throughout the class. He makes you not work ahead in class because you have to wait for his feedback before proceeding. DON'T TAKE HIM!
He gives great feedback for your mid terms and final paper. He also gives many chances for extra credit and opportunities to make a better grade. He gave great articles to read if you were interested in what was being discussed in that chapter. I think overall this professor is amazing and is very willing to help you succeed!!
There were 6 multiple choice tests of 20 questions each. There are 2 papers. One mid term paper and one final. You get a preperation sheet for papers which are the outlines. He gives great feedback so you can change the mistakes on the rough draft. The final draft also gets feedback so if you want to modify it to get better grade.
Hes great. Really opens your eyes and mind to what goes on in the country. Just do your quizzes and make sure you understand what he wants from you in your mid term and final papers. There are lots of opportunities for extra credit too.
Professor Iachetta is amazing, he brings interest to Federal Government, if youre not interested. Be sure to read and look at his lecture videos. Follow the guidelines for papers and complete the rough draft extra credit in order to get great feedback. You will be successful in the class.
When taking government that it with prof. Lachetta! The class is so organized, not easy as in not many assignments but if you do the work its an easy grade. There is optional extra credit which even if you dont want the credit it is good feedback. Dont procrastinate and you will be just fine
Great professor. Had him for GOVT 1 and 2. Great teacher.
Its great. Its an 8 week class so theres more to do . But he provides the textbook for use. Just come to class and keep up to date with your work and youll be fine.
I took this class online for the Wintermester with Professor Iachetta. The class is fairly easy with 7 discussion boards and 7 quizzes. There are also two papers that you have to write but if you do the extra credit for them you will get a good grade. I would recommend this class to anyone that needs the credit.
Professor Iachetta always shows availability and helps when needed. There is lots to read but if you pay attention to the videos you can go by just that. He explains exactly what you read so that helps. Extra credit is available so if you want a good grade, its not hard to earn.
Professor Iachetta always shows availability and helps when needed. There is readings that are provided but he also provides videos for those lectures which help out a lot. He does offer extra credit which is easy to attain. His midterm and final are fairly easy and we peer review them as well as get feedback from the professor.
This teacher was super understanding. I took this class as a summer class, and got an A out of it. You need to read the textbook and watch the videos to pass the quizzes. There's a midterm and a final (both essays). Two tries on the midterm and one on the final. He's super understanding, and very easy to email.
Hello, I would like to say that this professor was very helpful, even for the new comers. He is very down earth and has excellent knowledge about his subject.I suggest everyone to take this professor for further studies on government. Thank you!!
Really brought some insight to government and how I view it now. Take this class to understand a side of government you wouldnt usually see.
i had to take the class online because of the epidemic, i had never taken one and i followed the instructions, read the paper, did extra credit and got a very good grade, you have to work at least moderately. and i recommend you take his class.
Professor Iachetta is a great instructor. I took his 100% online course with ease. He records lectures, has lecture material to read, but also adds a summary of each lesson which comes in handy for the quizzes. Highly recommended him for your required government credits!
Prof. Iachetta has done his homework and then some on his material, and will open your eyes to things you never knew about in regards to our government and our country. He's one of the kinds of teachers that's not here to teach class; he's here to teach life.
Professor Iachetta really knows what he is talking about so it is interesting to learn from him. I am not a history person and I have never been, but I loved this class. He doesn't just teach boring out of the book history, the stuff you learn is genuinely fun to learn about. and you will walk away understanding the government so much better.
Incredibly organized for an online class. There are video lectures that are very useful if youre an audiovisual learner. Went in expecting the class to be a gigantic bore, but was surprised by how much I ended up learning and enjoying it. So, yeah, great professor.
Took Iachetta for federal and Texas government and would definitely recommend him! The class is divided into 7 major sections (modules). Each module you have to write on the discussion forum what you have learned then respond to 2 others. You then take a quiz which gives you 2 tries. The final and midterm are super easy essays. Easy A I promise!
Outstanding his way of teaching.
I took the maymester govt 2305 class with professor iachetta. Literally so easy took 2 weeks of my time a learning module, discussion forum and easy 20 question quiz due every other day (7 total), easy midterm and final essay - same format, rough draft and peer review for extra credit, provides good feedback. Definitely take this class
He is a great professor but be ready to commit to at least an hour a day while doing his maymester, there is something due almost every day of the term.
I took professor Iachetta for both Govt 2305 and 2306 both online. His class is very well-organized and the instructions for the midterm/final paper are very clear. He is super knowledgeable on the subject. If you do the work, you will get an A+ easily. No tests, only quizzes that you can take twice and takes the higher grade. Highly recommend.
Professor Iachetta has a very set grading criteria that is given in the syllabus with 7 modules. Each module only took me about 4/5 hours to complete from start to finish. The midterm and final papers are easy if you follow his checklist. He takes rough drafts for extra credit and gives feedback on them. Overall, this class was AMAZING!
Professor Iachetta was such a great online Professor. His video lectures breakdown the material and make it easily understandable. He also provides great insight after each module. So he communicates well, effectively, and in a timely manner. He offers great feedback on your midterm and final paper. I would recommend him to anyone taking this class
This professor was very helpful and gave specific grading criteria on mid-terms and final papers. Illustrations were helpful and the notes are explained in detail.
Best class ever! The textbook is free. Short Videos created by professor and summary explaining each lesson. 7 quizzes (with same questions as the practice questions), 7 discussion boards, and easy midterm and final essay with great feedback. Although this class is very easy, you will definitely learn a lot!
Wouldn't recommend
Great Professor, engaging and relevant material that makes the class enjoyable and will more than likely change your current view of our Government.
Professor Lachetta assignment plan for the class each week is very well organize, easy to understand, and not overwhelming. His quick turn around grading assignment and provided feedback was very helpful in way of educating students to understand of what needed for improvement of future assignment.
Best Class Ever! Final grade was a perf. 100! I'm not top of my class material either. This is my 2nd 4 week course w/ Iachetta. Learning style is diff from most but it's not bad AT ALL! Watch the videos & focus on summaries. There are 2 writing assignments. Follow directions exactly & you'll be fine. Plenty of extra credit. TAKE THIS CLASS!
Prof Iachetta is a very good professor with very clear instruction and as long as you do things the way he says you will be fine. I had him in class and online and both have been enjoyable classes. Highly recommend for government.
im currently taking him for online government, and im stress. one good thing about him is that he has video lectures, so you will understand the activities. he wont accept any late work, so turn your work on time!!! on the midterm assignment he gave good feedback. he is a good professor, i wont recommend him, i wont take his class again.
He is one of the best government teachers. If you take him for online classes, there is nothing to worry about because he makes video lectures that actually helps you to understand the class.
If you have the chance to take another instructor, please do so.
Very easy and well organized class . Assignments have clear instructions and he always responds back.
Its not possible to pass any class taught by this professor without real effort. This is not mindless work, it requires thinking and critical analysis. Be prepared to have your opinions challenged and perhaps some to be changed.
The tests are HARD, but you can find most info online& through Learning Materials if you take note of practice quizes. The papers are much more HARD, but if you ask for help, do the prep sheets, you're golden! Talk about your life situations. The class is really interesting. He is the nicest most helpful prof I have ever met. He wants your success!
Took online and the class is self explanatory as long as you do your work and turn it in on time you'll be good. The lectures help understand the activities and test are also easy as long as you read. Great Professor!
Very hard to understand the midterm and the final. Its not a typical essay.
I've taken professor Iachetta for both federal government & texas government. Provides great feedback & always answered my questions. HW was discussion posts & quizzes. Very specific format for midterm and final paper. Saw a lot of people open their eyes in this class & actually learn. I respect him a lot & highly recommend! GREAT professor!
great professor, he provides textbook, 7 quizzes that are quote based from txtbook, 7 discussion posts, midterm and final essay. he gives really great feedback and makes this course engaging. textbook is really nice and the professor created it
This is my second time taking this professor in a government class (he teaches 2305 and 2306). He is very detailed in his instructions for the course. Theres only two essays but they are very structured so there is not much to worry about there. There are a bunch of discussion boards and quizzes for each module.
I enjoyed this course alot, very informative and intresting, organized, easy to follow the lectures. I recommend this course,
Surprisingly, I really enjoyed his course. There are tests every module but you can take them twice for the highest grade. Professor Iachetta gives plenty of opportunity for extra credit! If you take advantage of turning in the outline and rough draft and adhere to his feed back you can not go wrong! Awesome instructor! Take his courses.
Prof, did his homework well in setting up this course. There are support videos for each activity, lecture, note, thorough explanation of the concepts and email feedback on important details we may have overlooked in Discussion forum. I stumbled on this course and would like it advertised by Dallas College so that other students benefit
Waste of time. I Googled more than what was taught. I learned more from reading others conversations in the discussions than from the lectures.
Professor Iachetta is a great teacher. Even if the readings aren't clear to you, there are videos of him explaining very clearly what's going on. As you get closer to the end of the course, there are songs at the beginning, and he has pretty good taste. There are many opportunities for extra credit, and you get feedback for each paper as well.
After taking both texas government, federal government was easy. The class is structured very similarily, and although you might have a bit of trouble at the start, it's a lot easier once you find out what exactly you have to do :) For the most part, the class is very much 'follow the clear directions and you'll pass.'
Professor Iachetta has got to be one of the best professors I have had until now. He isn't a tough grader and the workload is so simple too. The learning material is organized so it makes sense and he responds fast. He isn't strict on due dates, and that helped me a lot. He is very well educated on the subject and makes it easy to understand. 10/10
I do not recommend taking this online class for this professor. I have asked him multiple times why I have gotten a paper wrong and he responds with a vague answer each time. Do not take his online class.
He gave me a -8 on a midterm paper. I think that says enough about this professor.
I have never had a professor who grades harder. I received a 10 on a midterm paper and minimal points once it was corrected and regraded. I made corrections using his feedback, but he continued to contradict himself and give me a low score. I absolutely do not recommend this course unless you want to be beyond frustrated all semester.
Professor Iachetta is a really good professor, the class might seem challenging to a few, but if you put in the effort you will succeed for sure. He gives really good feedback. The class is not hard at all he gives you very clear instructions on what to do, just make sure you turn in your work on time. He was truly an inspiration.
I don't know how he got two separate rated pages. There is another one with an average of 3.5, but I think it is still high. I sent him a couple of emails about stuff that I don't understand and he treated me like a braindead. He thinks his lecture and feedback are so perfect that students shouldn't have questions on anything.
Professor Iachetta knows his stuff when it comes to Governmnet. His lectures and ample feedback on assignments is the reason I got an A! He is a very strict grader so you need be detail oriented. Professor Iachetta is also very resposive in regards to emails. If you can follow detailed instructions and work with perseverance I highly reocmmend.
Professor Iachetta is a really good Professor. There are discussion boards, quizzes, and two major papers. Professor Iachetta provides videos for each topic so you understand the material and was great at answering any questions through email. As long as you do the work assigned and understand the material you can pass the class.
Professor Iachetta's course was enjoyable for Texas government. The lecture videos clearly explained the topics listed in the textbook. The practice problems provided were very similar to what was on the quizzes. There are two papers in the course which are straightforward if you follow the format he provides. He also gives lots of useful feedback.
He does not explain how the mid-term and final papers need to be written. Bad at explaining things as well
There are helpful study materials and plenty of opportunities for extra credit and if you take them you will do well in the class. The extra credit ties into the assignments themselves so you end up getting even more valuable feedback. It's not the easiest class, but it's definitely interesting and you just might have your perspectives challenged.
I loved the style of this course (with video lectures), and Professor Iachetta is an excellent teacher! He gives many opportunities for feedback and extra credit, so it is easy to do well if you put the work in. He is clearly very knowledgeable about the subject and is careful to remain unbiased. I would definitely recommend taking this course.
Gives lots of extra credit, however, it's so hard to pass his 7 tests. Even after acing the tests and homework, if the midterm and final isn't how he wants it to be, you'll get less than a 50. Feedback is great, he just makes everything too complicated than it should be. I rather not take him again. overly hard for a simple gov class.
Great Professor and great lectures, I learned so much and everything taught was clear and concise. The online course for a partial semester was tough but very rewarding and I actually felt like I learned something. I would definitely recommend this class!
I would not recommend this class. I didn't understand the text or the textbook that was assigned to the class which was also written by the professor. Lots of tests for an accelerated online course. 2 major papers weren't too bad but he grades hard so be prepared for a low score. Save yourself time and money and pick another professor.
The tests were the easy part of the class. Be prepared to watch many of videos. My least favorite part was the mid term and final writing assignments. Some of his feedback was vague and required elaboration. He's very detail-oriented, so if it's not EXACTLY how he wants it, then you won't get full credit. There are many chances for extra credit.
He's an angel all around. I had covid while taking his class and also did not have access to a laptop of my own and had to borrow from my neighbors or acquaintances I ended the class with an 89.45 and he rounded it up to an A for me. The coursework itself isn't too hard however the mid-term and final have to meticulously follow his instructions. :)
Contrary to some of the reviews, I passed this class with a 95 and with minor struggles. Professor Iachetta's government class revolves around lectures and quotes from the textbook, so be ready to watch videos and read. Despite this, the assignments are easy, and he allows extra credit for the Mid-Term and Final writing assignments.
Do not take this Professor. He does not teach very well but in his videos talks a lot about nothing that you will understand. He teaches based off a book he wrote. Must be on time for all assignments. He does not explain well and expects you to already know what he is teaching. His quizzes are hard and you might pass you might not.
Awful at grading I don't know what grading criteria he goes off of he will FAIL YOU, if you need to reach him be prepared to wait like 5 days before he responds to you, He depends on other students feed-back on your own work for the Mid-term assignment and takes and Final assignments, he works off a book he wrote, which are not understandable.
DO NOT.I repeat DO NOT even try to taking this guy. Im on my second year in college & I have not met a BAD professor until this guy..Hes a harsh grader, his lessons are boring, you dont learn anything and the quizes are based on a nonsense book he wrote himself. I regret taking this guy. WASTE OF MY OWN MONEY. And waste of 8 WEEKS
The WORST instructor in the whole DALLAS COLLEGE. Do not take this dude. He will fail you based on any little thing you do wrong. I regret giving this guy my money. I will file a complaint against this dude to the district. You dont learn anything from him and hes so boring. Waste of time and money. UNBELIEVABLE
I took the government 2306 online. The grading is strict, but there are extra credit opportunities available. Professor Iachetta replies to emails very quickly and gives good feedback, so I would suggest emailing him whenever you are confused or have questions about something. Do not hesitate to ask for help.
Online class for 8 weeks, the hardest part would be the midterm & final. However, he offers extra credit, be sure to complete ALL the opportunities for extra credit. Read the instructions Very Carefully. If you do all your work On Time, you should not have any problems. He will answer emails & gives good feedback. I learned so much, great teacher!
Mr. Iachetta was awesome, he does a really good job at explaining and replying to emails. I took his class online and really appreciated the lectures that he uploads!
Professor Iachetta's Federal Government 2305 was a great course I've taken for this fall semester. There was a level of uncomplicated and straightforward way about his teaching methods that I very much enjoyed. Professor I. provided many categorized lecture videos in each modules in addition to other written materials. His effort is appreciated.
Dr. Iachetta does a great job teaching the history of liberty and how it became part of Texan identity. Primary source heavy with discussion boards. Mostly deals with the ideas behind the original TX gov and its relationship with US gov. For anyone interested in gov development and getting outside a political party binary, this is the course.
He actually cared to teach us valuable information that will mess with you far after taking the class. He explained government from a point of view that allows you to really think and criticize the government and centralized federal power. This class sent me into a depression in the best way possible.
I took his class and it was very awful. He replies the email and clears the doubt but it is not clear or to be exact he doesn't grade papers as he suggests.
Professor Lachetta broke down material clearly, multiple times, and in different ways making grasping it a lot easier. His class included multiple discussion boards and quizzes that were actually related to the provided course materials and not overwhelming. He also provided a lot of great extra content throughout the course that I enjoyed.
I expected this class to be very cookie cutter/ boring but instead I found it to be very thought provoking. The topics discussed in this class may challenge some of your current beliefs but Professor Iachetta handles it tactfully. Grading criteria for the papers are very specific but if you pay attention and put in effort, you should pass easily.
I will say this about Dr. Iachetta, you can tell he does mean well to some degree, but it's hard to see. There's room for leniency on submission, especially due to having personal emergencies. If instructors enjoy teaching, it shouldn't come at the cost of students being more worried about their grade than the learning material. Just wanna be heard
I appreciated how he would help us prepare for our final papers so you knew what to expect. The feedback on my preparation sheets and rough drafts were sometimes difficult for me to understand, but the professor would help point you in the right direction of the needed information in the notes. Definitely look that the reading material!
He's a tough cookie i'll give you that. I will say participation is highly valued in this class he offers great extra credit and prep for the midterm and final and if you do these things and genuinely put in the work you will get good grades on them simple as that. pay attention to the lecture videos for your quizzes! space them out dont wait!
Prof I is an amazing teacher. His class consist of learning about something new everyday about history of the government and relating it back to current events.
His lecture contains tremendous amount of life lessons about the right principles of living life. His materials really taught you in detail how things have changed and revealed your perspective about government and human life. If you are looking for class that really engaging and intrigues you with takeaway lessons, this course will work the best.
I took this professor for a 8-week class after seeing good reviews but I was very disappointed. This professor makes a subject like government very HARD and boring. There are a lot of better professors available please don't give trouble to yourself by choosing this professor.
Dr. Iachetta is a phenomenal instructor who teaches the TRUTH about U.S. government. He uses quotes from authors of the U.S. Constitution, like Thomas Jefferson, who explain the meaning of the Constitution's words, and the importance of having a limited federal government, as compared to the unlimited one of today. Overall, a very eye-opening Prof.
This class was hit-or-miss. Professor Iachetta's teaching style wasn't for everyone, but I found his extra content and feedback helpful. The grading was strict, but utilizing resources like Unstuckstudy made prep a breeze. Overall, a challenging yet informative course.
Professor Iachetta's online classes are very structured and easy to follow, you simply have to watch the lecture videos given to you, and all the content from the lectures are what will be tested. You are able to work as fast or slow as you want as well, there are a few discussion boards you have to complete, but overall a light course workload.
While his political bias shows slightly during lectures, he does a great job of presenting every angle. Great guy overall, I still stay in touch with him years later.
This professor thinks literally everything is written by AI. He will slap the AI label on your work and move on, instead of actually reading and providing constructive feedback. It is frustrating, discouraging, lazy, and honestly insulting to students who put in the effort. If you are looking for a fair professor, this is not the class for you.
If any international student is thinking of taking a class from him. STOP. Never make a mistake like me, please. A lot of unnecessary homework, less extra credit, and heavy lectures; he loves to deduct points. If he asks a question and we cannot answer, he thinks we are not attentive and know nothing, and AI helps us (= 0). We have a brain to use.
Professor Iachetta, was an overall okay to worse professor. He is a tough one, he is very frustrating and very strict. Everything is open and self paced very organized.
Though this class might seem intimidating at first, it is actually quite easy to manage. Professor Iachetta was very clear with his grading criteria in the syllabus, and he responds to emails very quickly.
